I know this is way overdue but I haven't given up on this story I just had a wee bit of a writer's block (ugh) but I hope you enjoy it!
Beca was waiting with Snoop Dogg and Martha Stewart, they were told they'd be brought on during commercial break and Ellen would later talk to each individually, so they would be properly introduced.
The girls were with Nikki in the dressing room while Chloe was in the audience. Beca smiled and blew her a kiss when she was sitting in front of Ellen.
"And 3, 2, 1!" The camera guy pointed at Ellen and the audience applauded.
"Welcome back! I'm here with Beca Beale-Mitchell, Snoop Dogg and Martha Stewart!" Ellen announced and there was more applause from the audience.
Beca was nervous but excited. It's been a while since she'd been on Ellen.
"We're gonna play a little game of Never Have I Ever right now!" Ellen announced and the audience applauded while the blonde handed the "I have/I have never" signs. "Here's how it goes, I'll say something like "never have I ever been to jail" and you will have to say if you have or haven't. It's pretty simple."
The three nodded and examined the signs.
"Alright." Martha said.
"Here's the first one, this is fun. Never have I ever sexted." Ellen said.
Snoop and Martha soon raised their "I have" sides while Beca panicked.
"I can't answer that! My kids are watching!" Beca said, making the audience laugh.
"They're not, I asked if they could not watch this segment." Ellen said, amused at Beca's reluctance.
Beca quietly raised the "I have" sigh but both her and Ellen were far more interested in hearing Martha's sexting story, which she didn't tell obviously.
"Oh this one's fun." Ellen chuckled. "Never have I ever been in handcuffs."
Snoop raised his "I have" sign while Martha said she hadn't and Beca slowly raised the "I have" sign, trying not to blush but the audience went wild.
"What?!" Snoop said as he eyed Beca's sign.
"Beca?" Ellen asked.
Beca didn't look Ellen in the eye.
"In a movie?" Martha was quick to ask though Beca had only been in one movie.
"No." Beca tried to contain her blush.
"Was it like being arrested?" Ellen asked, amused.
"That wasn't the question." Beca said, making Ellen and the audience laugh.
"Chloe likes that?" Ellen asked, because she loved embarrassing Beca and the brunette groaned.
"Yes she does!" Chloe could be heard from the audience, which only made people cheer more.
"Chloe!" Beca shrieked. "It was a Halloween, Sophie was a police officer and she put her handcuffs on me while I was asleep." Beca told and the audience laughed but they were sort of disappointed.
"Stop lying Beca!" Chloe said again and the audience laughed and cheered.
"Chloe, get down here, you can help us see if your wife is telling the truth." Ellen said and the audience applauded while Chloe made her way down and sat on her wife's lap while a guy put a microphone on her.
"Okay, now we can move on to the next one." Ellen said. "Never have I ever been stoned on a talk show."
Martha raised her 'I have never sign', Snoop raised his 'I have' sign and Beca raised the 'I have never' sign as Ellen did the same.
"Beca!" Chloe scolded and turned the sign, which made the audience laugh and cheer wildly.
"Beca!" Ellen said, laughing.
"It was one of my first talk shows, I was nervous." Beca said.
"You don't have to explain yourself." Snoop said with a laugh and Beca blushed and kept her eyes on the floor.
"Okay, next one. Never have I ever been to a nude beach." Ellen said and quickly raised her 'I have never' sign.
Martha was the only one who said she had, which raised a few eyebrows but also earned a few laughs.
"Oh this one's funny." Ellen said. "Never have I ever given funny names to genitals."
The players laughed but were confused.
"Mine or..?" Snoop asked.
"It doesn't say. Andy, you should've been more clear." Ellen said and Andy rolled over laughing.
Martha, Snoop and Beca said they had and that even surprised Chloe.
"Wait, yours or..?" Ellen asked, having way too much fun with that.
"It doesn't say 'none of your business' here." Martha said and Ellen laughed.
"I ain't telling no shit." Snoop said.
"Beca, I don't even know that story so you're gonna have to explain yourself." Chloe said and the audience laughed.
"I was talking to Leslie about sex and she used funny names to refer to the words penis and vagina because she didn't like those words." Beca explained.
"What words did she use?" Chloe asked curiously as she shared a look of awe with Ellen.
"Umm Miss Linda." Beca blushed when the audience laughed along with her wife and Ellen. "And um Mr. Willie Winkie."
"Oh my God!" Chloe said. "That's so cute!"
Beca gave her a weird look and Ellen rolled over laughing.
"Alright, alright. Last one, this one is fun." Ellen said. "Never have I ever used my fame to get out of trouble."
All three said they had. Chloe looked at her wife's sign and nodded approvingly while the audience applauded.
"Beca has used her fame to get out of trouble with me. Not that it worked." Chloe told Ellen, who laughed.
"Alright, when we come back we'll talk to Beca Mitchell." Ellen said and they were off the air.
Chloe kissed her wife with a smile before she got off of her wife's lap. The crew came over to change the couch for a chair for Beca and the brunette sat back down while Chloe went back to her seat in the audience.
"And applause!"
The audience applauded and Beca sat up straight.
"And welcome back I'm here with Beca Mitchell!" Ellen said. "Beca you won quite a few Grammy's over the last few years, your daughter won an Emmy, your family seems very talented."
"Oh we are." Beca said. "Chloe is an excellent singer, our daughter Sophie is training with the School of American Ballet, Charlotte has a great singing voice as well.."
"What about Leslie?"
"Well Leslie turns 5 soon and we have yet to discover her talent." Beca said with a smile.
"So you're an amazing artist, you've worked with so many talented singers and I heard that sometimes you bring your work home so how do you find separation from work and family?" Ellen asked.
"Well it was a lot harder when the girls were younger but I learned with Charlotte that you can have family moments and work moments completely separate because trying to squish them together does not work." Beca said. "There was a time when Char was 2 years old, I was doing an assignment for Music Theory and I left for a second and she thought my essay was for coloring so I come back, my assignment has a smiley face and Char says 'it's you mommy!' so there's no way I can be mad at her."
Ellen laughed while the audience aww'd and laughed.
"So I had to learn the hard way to play with my daughter then do my homework once she was asleep." Beca said.
"What happened to your assignment?" Ellen asked still laughing.
"The teacher thought it was cute, he had a young daughter himself so he cut me some slack." Beca said and the audience laughed.
"But now you have three daughters in three very different ages, how do you deal with work and family?" Ellen asked.
"When Leslie was born Chloe and I sat down and talked about getting a nanny since Chloe is a lawyer and also works a lot but at night, for instance, we try to spend quality family time together before the girls' bedtimes start." Beca said.
"And how do you– I mean now that especially Charlotte is getting older, how do you make sure she watches the right shows, listens to the right songs and doesn't make bad choices?" Ellen asked.
"Well I trust Charlotte, she's only allowed one hour of computer a day, she has many afternoon activities so that keeps her busy, but the thing I worry the most is her trust in me and my wife, if she comes to us with a problem because I didn't when I was her age and I want her to have an open relationship with Chloe and I because I don't want her to go through the same thing I did." Beca said and she was getting a little emotional.
"You mean having a baby at 19?" Ellen asked.
"Yeah, I mean.. sure I have a wonderful family and all but for everyone is different. I don't want her — or any of my daughters for that matter — to have their lives cut short because whether you like it or not, you're not going to be doing stuff, I had to do my homework from home for the first six months of Charlotte's life and only because my dad arranged that with the dean because he was a professor."
"Some girls don't realize that but having a baby at that age is really hard." Ellen said.
"It's really hard, you have to give up on childish things because you have a child to look after and some have to do this alone, I was lucky to have my parents and Chloe to help me but some girls won't be that lucky." Beca said. "And I want each and every one of my girls to understand that."
Ellen nodded and the audience applauded while she wiped her tears with a chuckle.
"Now let me make you a question that won't make you cry." Ellen said and Beca laughed while wiping her tears. "Your middle daughter, Sophie, is known for being a boobman, right?"
"Actually, Charlotte was a bigger boobman, Sophie just liked the word 'boobs'. In fact, she liked it so much it was her very first word." Beca said.
"Really?" Ellen asked.
"Really." Beca said with a laugh. "And after that she kept repeating, it became her word for everything."
Ellen laughed.
"And how did you and Chloe react to that?" Ellen asked.
"Well she was just repeating after Charlotte so we told Charlotte to stop saying boob so much and Sophie stopped." Beca said. "But when she first said it we were shocked."
Ellen nodded with a chuckle before turning to her audience.
"Alright next guys we'll have Charlotte, Sophie and Leslie!" Ellen said and Beca applauded with a squeal. She then got up to hug Ellen before it was commercial break.
Beca was allowed to move to sit beside her wife in the audience while the crew changed the couch to a big one.
The show was back then the girls were brought out. Charlotte was a bit shy, Leslie was very shy while Sophie grinned at the audience, holding Leslie's hand.
Charlotte was the first to greet Ellen and sit then Sophie looked at her.
"Hi Miss Ellen!" She said and hugged her tight.
Leslie was shy she was biting on her nail as Ellen gave her a kiss.
"Welcome girls!" Ellen said as she sat. "I have had you Charlotte twice on my show."
"Oh yeah I remember! I remember it was right after I won an Emmy." Charlotte said.
"Is Emmy a person?" Sophie asked her sister, making the audience laugh.
"No, So, it's an award." Charlotte said.
"The first time you were here, Charlotte, you were 4 years old, Sophie was a baby." Ellen said and a picture of Charlotte and Beca sitting on Ellen's couch showed up on screen.
"Ooooh!" Charlotte said. "Yeah I remember that!"
"So you obviously stayed away from TV after you won your Emmy." Ellen said.
"Yeah. We get enough paparazzi because of my mom and I don't really like that, I can't even go to ballet without having my picture taken." Charlotte said. "I don't know, I just don't like the attention."
"I do! I do! I love it when the men take pictures of me!" Sophie raised her hand to say with a grin, getting another round of laughter from the audience.
"You do, Sophie? When do they take pictures of you?" Ellen asked.
"Only when I'm with mommy, they don't like to take pictures of me alone." Sophie pouted.
Ellen chuckled.
"What about you, Leslie?" Ellen asked.
Leslie just hid behind Sophie, making the audience laugh again.
"So girls, how does it feel like having a famous mother?" Ellen asked.
"It feels weird." Charlotte said. "Because if people knew mom, they'd see she's actually a huge dork."
The audience laughed.
"Yeah, mommy is a very big dork." Sophie said. "She gives us ice cream before dinner."
"Really? What else does she do?" Ellen asked Sophie.
Sophie made a thinking face. Leslie whispered something in her ear.
"Oh yeah! Mommy doesn't let us play with her toys. We thought it was a rocket but she said it was a toy only for adults." Sophie said and made an annoyed face while the audience laughed wildly. "Actually, that was mamma, Leslie."
People sitting next to Beca and Chloe heard Beca gasp very loudly before turning tomato red.
"Mommy gives me books to read." Leslie said quietly
"She gives you books to read?" Ellen asked and Leslie nodded shyly. "You can read? How old are you, Leslie?"
"Four." Leslie said.
"Four and you can read? Who taught you how to read?" Ellen asked.
"Nobody." Leslie shrugged while sucking on her finger. It was a nervous habit her mothers were trying to break.
"Nobody?" Ellen asked. "What kind of books do you like to read?"
"Ummm funny books." Leslie said.
"That's nice." Ellen said. "I have a game to play with you girls."
"Yay! I love games!" Sophie said, getting up from the couch.
"Great! So the game works like this, since you all know how to read, I'll give you signs that say 'mommy' on one side and 'mamma' on the other." Ellen said, giving them the signs. The girls examined the signs. "And I'll ask you questions and you'll answer who does it more, mommy or mamma."
"Yay! Who wins?" Sophie asked, making the audience laugh yet again.
"Nobody wins, it's just a fun game to play." Ellen explained.
"Okay." Sophie nodded and turned to look at her mothers. "We won't embarrass you!"
"Okay, let's start. Who makes sure you follow the rules?" Ellen asked.
There was a mix of mommy and mamma in the answers.
"Who lets you stay up late?" Ellen asked.
The girls all answered mommy, which made the audience laugh.
"Who grounds you?" Ellen asked.
The girls all said mamma. Sophie raised her hand.
"Miss Ellen I'd like to say something please?" She said.
"Okay." Ellen said.
"Mamma isn't a bad person. Mommy grounds us too, but mamma does it more often." Sophie explained.
"Okay." Ellen said. "Now who tells the funnier jokes?"
The girls didn't know what to say. Charlotte said mommy while Sophie and Leslie didn't answer.
"Sophie, Leslie?" Ellen asked.
"Mommy only tells jokes we don't understand." Sophie said. "And she says bad words we're not allowed to repeat."
The audience laughed as well as Ellen, who nodded and turned to the next question.
"Who makes the best food?" Ellen asked.
All the girls said mamma.
"Mommy doesn't really like to cook." Sophie said. "But she can make yummy food too."
"Who drives you to school?"
Sophie spinned her sign while Leslie answered mamma and Charlotte said mommy.
"They both drive us to school." Charlotte said.
"Who can you come to with problems?" Ellen asked.
Charlotte said both, Sophie and Leslie said mamma.
"Sophie, Leslie, you can go to mom too!" Charlotte said.
"Mommy doesn't understand math! I asked for help with my math problems she did them all wrong." Sophie said.
"Mommy doesn't have a lot of patience." Leslie said.
"Ellen doesn't mean homework, she means if you're sad, if you're hurt." Charlotte cleared up.
"Oh! Then it's both Miss Ellen!" Sophie said.
"Yeah!" Leslie agreed.
"Okay girls last question: who gives you more toys?" Ellen asked and there was a pause.
"I have to be fair Miss Ellen: it's both." Sophie said, making Ellen laugh.
"You're sassy, you know that?" Ellen said to Sophie.
"No, Miss Ellen my name is Sophie!" Sophie said, making the audience laugh harder.
"Sophie you're destroying Ellen." Charlotte said.
Sophie looked worried and immediately ran to hug Ellen, who was still laughing.
"I'm so sorry Miss Ellen! I didn't mean to make you sad!" She said.
"No, Sophie, I mean… it means you… it's not destroying her in a bad way." Charlotte said.
"Yeah, your sister means you're really funny." Ellen explained.
"Oh! Thanks Char!" Sophie grinned at her sister.
"So Sophie you recently had surgery because you had a tumor in your intestine. Didn't that scare you?" Ellen asked as Sophie sat back down.
"No. It was just a silly tumor, it didn't hurt. But they opened my stomach!" Sophie said.
"Yeah! You weren scared about that part?" Ellen asked.
"No, they closed my stomach after they took my tumor out." Sophie said. "I won't have any more silly tumors."
"Yeah, you won't. So since you were very brave, I have something to give you. I have something for all of you." Ellen said and stood up, motioning for the girls to follow her.
The curtains opened to reveal a table with a basket full of children's books, one basket with clothes and a doctor's kit, and a basket full of Victoria's Secret goodies.
"This is for you, Leslie." Ellen showed her the basket.
Leslie's eyes sparkled as she looked at how many books there were on the basket.
"Wow! Thank you so much, Miss Ellen!" She said and hugged Ellen tight.
"You're welcome." Ellen said as Leslie pulled apart to check her new books. "For Sophie, I have a nurse costume, some books about doctors and a brand new doctor's kit."
"Wow! I can wear the costume for Halloween!" Sophie said. "Thank you Miss Ellen!"
Sophie too hugged Ellen.
"And for you Charlotte, I have perfumes, hoodies, leggins, all from Victoria's Secret and…" Ellen dug out a purse from the basket. "A Michael Kors purse!"
Charlotte's eyes widened as she squealed before hugging the bag.
"Thank you! Thank you so much!" Charlotte said and also hugged Ellen.
Ellen laughed as the girls appreciated their gifts, which included Ellen onesies.
"We just had Charlotte, Leslie and Sophie Mitchell, we'll be right back!" Ellen said and the audience applauded.

When back to school time began, Beca and Chloe talked to the principal about Leslie as well as her teachers about her being more intellectually advanced than the other kids and all understood completely, saying they'd work with Leslie on her level, making sure she was comfortable.
Of course, it didn't take 2 weeks for the teacher to call Chloe and Beca to talk after school.
The little brunette/redhead was waiting in the classroom, reading a book.
"Mrs. and Mrs. Mitchell!" the teacher, Miss Donovan, stood up from her desk.
Leslie looked up and ran to hug her mothers.
"Yes, hi!" Chloe shook hands with the teacher. "Did you want to talk to us?"
"Yes, please sit down." Miss Donovan smiled and took her seat behind the desk. She'd gotten two chairs for the couple since the others were kids chairs.
Leslie ran back to the table she'd been sitting on and went back to reading her book.
"Is there anything wrong?" Beca asked worriedly in a hushed tone.
"Oh no, don't worry. I just wanted to inform that, since Leslie is reading way above her level, I'd like to send back with her 3 books so she can read at home and have her reading time, while in here, she'll work with her classmates." Miss Donovan said.
"Oh!" The two women said.
"After working with her for 2 weeks, I thought this would be the best for her." Miss Donovan said.
"Oh yes, thank you so much!" Chloe said with a smile.
"And every week, as homework, instead of giving her a coloring homework, I can give her four simple add and subtract equations and she's supposed to bring them back the following week." Miss Donovan said.
"Oh I think that will be perfect!" Chloe smiled.
"There is one more thing I'd like to discuss with you two." Miss Donovan said. "In classes, your daughter is an excellent student, however she squints to see the board and sometimes she does while reading, then later she complains to me her head hurts. I'm no expert but I would recommend that she sees a doctor, it seems little Leslie needs glasses."
Beca had always thought that hearing her daughter needed glasses would feel weird, like admitting there was something wrong with her, but it didn't. She felt neutral.
"Okay, we will schedule an appointment right away." Beca nodded.
"Okay, good. Well thank you two so much for coming." Miss Donovan stood up along with Beca and Chloe and they shook hands again.
"Thank you so much." Chloe smiled and turned to Leslie. "Leslie, baby, ready to go home?"
"Yes!" Leslie closed her book and went to grab her backpack.
"I'm going to call you probably monthly to discuss Leslie's progress." Miss Donovan said.
"I think this would be the best for her." Beca agreed as Leslie came back with her books and her backpack.
"Miss Donna gave me books to read!" Leslie showed her mothers the books. She called her teacher, Linda Donovan, Miss Donna because she thought Miss Donovan was too complicated and Donna sounded better.
"Oh this is cool!" Chloe said.
"I wanna read them all today!" Leslie said excitedly.
"You should read one today and leave the rest for when you're bored. If you read them all today, what are you do when you want to read?" Chloe explained and Leslie seemed to think about it.
"You're right, mamma." Leslie said.
The three went back to their car and Beca buckled Leslie in.
"Honey, there's something you need to know." Chloe said once Beca was in the car as well.
"Yeah?" Leslie asked.
"Miss Donovan says you've been having a hard time seeing the board." Chloe said. "So we're going to call your eye doctor."
"Okay." Leslie said distractedly.
"Maybe we should take Char and Sophie too." Beca said. "You know, get their sight checked and stuff."
"Yeah, that's good." Chloe said.

It wasn't long before the two women were in the waiting room for the eye doctor with their three kids and Nikki. Leslie was sitting on Nikki's lap, looking scared while Sophie was coloring and Charlotte was reading a magazine quietly.
Beca was worried Leslie might start crying when she was called in, because she was a bit whiney.
"Beale-Mitchell family?" The doctor smiled as she opened the door.
"Yay!" Sophie said and immediately stood up.
Charlotte put her magazine down and also stood up.
"No!" Leslie whined and, sure enough, started crying. "I don't wanna go in, mamma!"
"Leslie, you have to, we're going to see today how your eyes are." Chloe said.
"No!" Leslie whined again and clinged to Chloe's legs.
"Leslie, come on, it won't hurt, it'll be very quick." Beca said a little more firmly.
Leslie pouted but rubbed her eyes and followed her family inside.
"Mommy, can I go first?" Sophie asked with a grin as she sat on one of the chairs in front of the doctor's desk.
"Sure, Sophie." The doctor answered for her as she took her seat. "How have you girls been?"
"We've been good, thank you!" Sophie said. "Our new house has a pool!"
"Oh that's cool!" The doctor said. "So come on, Sophie. Let's see how your eyes are."
"Yaaay!" Sophie said as she sat on the chair with the doctor's help.
The doctor smiled and dimmed the lights. Four big letters appeared on the wall across from the chair.
"Sophie, can you read that?" The doctor asked.
"Yes I can." Sophie said. "It's L, N, S, T and R."
"Very good." The doctor changed it to smaller letters. "Can you read it now?"
"Yes." Sophie said. "It says A, B, S, R and M."
"Very good." The doctor smiled. She changed it to even smaller letters. "Now can you still read?"
Leslie watched intrigued, she had never been to an eye doctor before, she never knew what they do, she thought the doctor would poke her eyes.
"Yes I can. E, D, J, A, C and G." Sophie said proudly.
"Very good. Now let's see from up close." The doctor said and handed Sophie a small piece of paper. "Can you see the letters well?"
Sophie just scanned the paper with her eyes and nodded.
"Read the first line to me." The doctor requested.
"It hasn't been long since Sonya disappeared." Sophie read.
"Good." The doctor smiled. "Now come over here."
Sophie climbed down the chair and sat on another chair while the doctor sat across from her.
"Touch your chin and forehead here and look into the light." The doctor said and Sophie did. "Good, now the other eye."
Sophie changed the eyes before the doctor sat back.
"Okay, Sophie is all done." The female doctor smiled. "Who's next?"
"Leslie, why don't you go? Now you know what it's all about." Beca said.
"Okay." Leslie said, a bit apprehensive as she allowed the doctor to help her sit on the big chair.
The big letters showed up on the wall again.
"Leslie can you read that?" The doctor asked.
"Yeah. It says L, N, S, T and R." Leslie said.
"Okay." The doctor changed it to smaller letters and looked at Leslie, who was squinting. "Can you read them?"
"No." Leslie said. "I'm sorry."
"That's okay, you don't have to apologize." The doctor giggled and stepped closer to Leslie. "Now, this is a machine that will help you see better. You tell me when you're seeing better."
Leslie nodded. The doctor adjusted the machine to Leslie's eyes.
"I can't see with my right eye." Leslie said.
"That's okay, we'll adjust your left eye first." The doctor explained. "Which helps you see better: this or this?"
Leslie gasped when the machine helped her see the letters on the wall.
"This one!" She said, referring to the second lens.
"Okay." The doctor smiled. "Now this one, or this one?"
Leslie gasped again.
"That's even better!" Leslie said, which made everyone laugh.
"Mommy, Leslie looks funny!" Sophie said to Beca, laughing.
"Sophie, quiet now." Beca said.
"Okay, now your right eye." The doctor changed sides and Leslie only saw with her right eye. "This or this?"
"The second one." Leslie said firmly.
"Now this or this?" The doctor changed again.
"This one! This is good!" Leslie said excitedly and everyone giggled again.
"Okay." The doctor said and Leslie was seeing with both eyes.
"Wooooow!" Leslie said.
"Can you read the letters now?" The doctor asked.
"Yes! They're A, B, S, R and M!" Leslie said.
"And these letters?" The doctor put the smallest letters on the wall.
"Yeah! They're E, D, J, A, C and G!" Leslie grinned.
"Now from up close." The doctor gave Leslie the same sheet of paper she had given to Sophie. "Read the first line for me."
"It hasn't been long since Sonya disappeared." Leslie said.
"Alright, one last thing little Leslie." The doctor said before pulling the machine away from Leslie. "Sit over here and look into the light."
Leslie did as she was told before the doctor let her sit with her mothers.
Charlotte was the same thing as Sophie, which was quick, so the doctor was finished and sat back down to write Leslie's prescription.
"Charlotte and Sophie's eyes are just fine, no sight problems there." The doctor said. "Leslie, however, needs glasses, she's nearsighted and has astigmatism."
"Okay." The two women nodded.
"Little Leslie, you will look so cute with glasses!" Sophie grinned.
"But mamma, I don't want glasses." Leslie pouted.
"It's the only way you will see better, honey." Chloe smiled and kissed her daughter's head.
"You'll look cute, little Leslie." Sophie said.
Leslie didn't lose her pout as the doctor handed her prescription to Beca.
"Maybe we can go choose your glasses now, so they'll be ready as soon as possible." Chloe said to her daughter, who was now clinging to Beca.
"Leslie, your glasses will help you see better." Beca said. "Thanks doc."
The two women smiled and shook hands with the kind doctor before leaving.
They knew Leslie wouldn't accept the glasses so soon but they had to make her see the glasses would help her.
Who else loves how Sophie is just a ray of sunshine?
