Arriving home, Chloe was still watching the kids at the pool. Beca walked outside with Sophie who was still wearing her pink and orange leotard.

"Hey! Sophie my baby what happened?" Chloe asked from her seat.

"My mamma, I have bad news:" Sophie said seriously and dramatically. "I broke my wrist."

Chloe exaggerated in her reaction, she gasped audibly and brought her hand to her chest.

"Oh no!" She said and Sophie nodded with a look. "How?"

"Doing a… a… a round off." Sophie said.

"That's too bad baby, does it hurt?" Chloe asked, seeing the girl's pink cast.

"No." Sophie said. "Can I go to the pool?"

"Of course." Chloe said.

"Let's change baby." Beca said. "I'm gonna have to help you."

"Okay. Mommy I want a very pretty bikini." Sophie said as she walked inside with Beca.

Sophie and Beca came back a few minutes later and Sophie carefully got in the shallow end of the pool.

"Kids! Kids!" Beca called the attention of everyone. Charlotte was holding Leslie and Natalie while Joel was holding onto the edge of the pool. "Sophie broke her wrist, she has a cast on so you must be careful."

Sophie didn't swim a lot she just sat down and stayed in the shallow end. The others played very well together, the kids were such good friends.

"Remember when Char was 1, we went to Florida and she insisted Aubrey and Stacie should be together?" Chloe asked as Beca took a seat next to her.

"Yep." Beca sighed. "That was super sweet."

"It was." Chloe nodded.

"You know.." Beca said. "I chose Char's name because of Clarisse's right hand in Princess Diaries?"

"Really?!" Chloe asked.

"Yeah. Charlotte was very faithful to Queen Clarisse, I thought the name would bring some luck." Beca said before sighing. "I can't believe through all these years I had sex with a guy."

Chloe chuckled.

"Don't worry, your secret's safe with me." Chloe said.

"And the only time I had sex with a guy, it got me pregnant!" Beca said. "Like… what are the chances?"

"Let's ask you this: were you on the pill? Religiously?" Chloe asked.

"No."

"Did you two wear a condom?"

"Yes, but I think it broke." Beca said.

Chloe gave her a look.

"Oh Jeez! You think?"

Beca laughed.

"How was telling your parents?"

"It was scary. Picture a nervous 18-year-old Beca pacing in front of her mom." Beca said. "It took me 24 minutes to finally utter the words 'I'm pregnant' to her."

"And your dad?" Chloe asked.

"Telling him was worse. My mom and I visited him and she held my hand the entire time." Beca said. "When I told him, he was silent for so long then he asked me what I wanted to do, I said I didn't know and broke down crying."

Chloe held Beca's hand and squeezed it tight with a sympathetic look. Beca offered her a thankful look.

"Can I ask… what was it like telling that guy?" Chloe asked. "You don't have to answer."

"Well it was awkward. I'd finally gotten to terms with being gay so I didn't know which I should tell him." Beca said. "Then I figured telling him I was having a baby, his baby, was more important so I met him at the park and after an hour and a half of stalling and pretending I was happy, I told him. He went quiet for way too long then he looked at me and started rambling that he wasn't ready. He said we should break up, he wasn't ready to have a baby. I started crying, I begged him not to leave, I begged him to stay with me, to be present for the baby. He said he never wanted kids and would never want them. And he just left while I screamed his name. He was my freaking best friend!"

"I'm so sorry, Beca." Chloe said, squeezing Beca's hand once again.

"Eh. If Caiden leaving me resulted in you, Sophie and Leslie, I'm thankful." Beca smiled at her wife.

Chloe smiled.

"After that, Caiden never talked to me again." Beca said. "I can't say I miss him but what he did to Charlotte was bad."

"I don't think so, I mean, Charlotte has me. She'll always have me." Chloe said. "And Sophie and Leslie. I love our family, Beca, I don't want anything to change."

"Yeah. You're right about that." Beca said.

Chloe smiled and brought her wife's hand up to her lips and kissed it.

"I love our family, I wouldn't trade it for the world." Chloe said.

"I love it too." Beca said.

"Excuse me, mommy? Mamma!" Sophie asked.

"Yeah sweetie?" Chloe asked.

"What do you love?" Sophie asked. "Why are you being so lovey dovey?"

"I was telling mommy how much I love our family." Chloe said and smiled at Beca.

"Okay, that's good, because I love our family too." Sophie nodded approvingly with a serious look on her face, which made her mothers laugh.

"We're happy to hear that, So So." Chloe said.

Sophie grinned and Leslie and Natalie sat by her side to talk to her about her cast.

Beca saw she'd received a text and grabbed her phone with her free hand to see it. She saw it was Stacie, who asked them to eat dinner with them, so Beca instead invited Aubrey and Stacie over for dinner and the busty brunette immediately agreed.

"Babe, Stacie and Aubrey are coming for dinner, we need to decide what we're gonna do." Beca said.

"Girls? And Joel, what do you guys want for dinner?" Chloe asked the kids.

"Anything, really." Charlotte said with a casual shrug.

"Can we have Mexican food? Some aca moly.." Sophie asked and made puppy dog eyes.

"We can go out to buy some nachos, make some salsa, guacamole, some tacos and meat, it could be fun." Chloe said.

"Alright, I'll go out to get everything, you stay with the rugrats." Beca said.

"Mommy, can we go with you?" Leslie asked.

"And 'we' is..?" Beca asked.

"Nat and me!" Leslie said.

"Okay, but you two have to take a shower right away then." Beca said.

"Aunt Beca can you help us?" Natalie asked.

"Yeah mommy, we wanna have a bath." Leslie said.

"Alright, you guys have your towel right?" Beca stood up. The two nodded and got out of the pool.

Beca went inside with the two girls so they could take their bath.

"Mamma, I'm gonna help you make some delicious aca moly." Sophie said with conviction.

"Oh that's good!" Chloe said.

"You're not gonna ask if you can help ma?" Charlotte asked as Joel cannonballed into the pool.

"No, because I know I can." Sophie said Chloe held in a chuckle. Sophie was so sassy without even trying.

"Hey ma, can I bake a cake?" Charlotte asked.

"It's almost 5, I don't know what time Aubrey and Stacie are supposed to come over.." Chloe said looking at her watch. "If you get out of the pool now, you can."

"So I'll be alone in the pool?" Sophie pouted.

"I'm here, So So." Joel said.

"Char, remember when you helped Aunt Aubrey change Joel's diaper?" Chloe asked, chuckling at the memory of Char telling her.

"Yeah." Charlotte said, swimming towards the edge of the pool so she could get out. "I took one look at his boy parts and freaked out."

"You're not supposed to see my special parts." Joel said with a frown.

"It was when you were a baby, Joel." Charlotte said. "I was helping Aunt Aubee change your diaper."

Joel didn't say anything.

"Her name is momma!" Joel corrected her and crossed her arms, ready jump back in the pool.

"Sorry." Charlotte laughed and grabbed her towel.

"Mamma, can Joel and I stay in the pool for a while longer?" Sophie asked.

"Sure, baby. I'll be right here." Chloe smiled and Joel jumped in the pool before swimming over to Sophie.

"Come here, Joel!" Sophie patted her side and Joel sat next to her with a smile. Sophie put her good arm around Joel and grinned at her mom. "Look, mamma! Joel is sitting next to me!"

Chloe gave them thumbs up and looked down at her phone with a sigh before looking at them again.

"Joel what's that in your swimsuit?" Sophie frowned and pointed at something standing under Joel's swimsuit.

"I don't know." Joel said and looked under his trunks before giggling. "It's my special parts!"

Joel giggled while Sophie brought her good hand to cover her mouth and she made a disgusted face.

"Eww!" she said before they both giggled.

Chloe was watching and she was alarmed but, so far, there was nothing to be concerned about, it was just kids discovering each other's bodies. As long as they didn't show each other their parts, it was all safe.

"Why is it up?" Sophie asked curiously as she giggled.

"I don't know." Joel confessed and looked down his torso. "Why do you wear a bikini?"

"I don't know, because my chest looks just like yours." Sophie said and moved the top of her bikini aside to show him.

Unfortunately, Chloe looked down at her phone that exact moment so she didn't see it, but she looked back up at them after.

"Yeah, it's just like me." Joel said. "My special parts are not like yours, right?"

"No, because I'm a girl. I have girl parts." Sophie said.

"Oooh!" Joel said and looked back down at his trunks. He pulled it so he could look at it again and giggled. "Look, it's funny!"

It happened so fast, Chloe wasn't even on her feet to stop it. Before she knew it, her middle daughter had looked at Joel's raised trunks.

"Guys, let's stop this, okay?" Chloe said. The two kids looked at her with confused looks.

"Why?" Sophie asked.

"Because, for one, Joel, you shouldn't show your special parts to other people and Sophie, you shouldn't be looking at other kids' special parts." Chloe said.

"That's okay, mamma, we're cousins and it's just looking, it's not touching." Sophie shrugged. "I don't wanna touch it."

"Sophie, looking counts as much as touching." Chloe said. "Understand me, kids? Private parts are called 'private' for a reason."

"Sorry, mamma."

"Sorry, Aunt Chloe."

"It's okay, you're still kids, but just remember okay?" Chloe said and the two nodded.

"Okay." the two said.

Sophie decided to swim a little bit so she grabbed the edges of the pool with her good hand and swam more towards the middle. She dove in and came back up with a happy sigh.

"Hey babe?" Beca came down, standing by the doorway. "Aubrey and Stacie are coming in an hour and a half."

"Alright." Chloe said.

"And Sophie, remember to be careful when you're going to shower." Beca said.

"I will be mommy!" Sophie promised.

Beca went back inside to get the little ones so she could go out.

"Aunt Chloe, I want to take a shower." Joel said.

"Then come on out, Joel." Chloe said, grabbing his towel and holding it open.

Chloe wrapped Joel in his towel and he stood in the sun for a while before heading inside.

"Sophie, I gotta help Joel with the shower so you gotta come out." Chloe said.

"One sec." Sophie said and dove, swimming to the shallow end and walking out. "That was refreshing!"

Chloe chuckled at Sophie's antics as she sat in one of the chairs and let out a loud, happy sigh, laying her head on her arms.

"Okay, stay there So." Chloe said before disappearing inside with Joel.

Chloe was back outside with Joel now all dressed and spotted her daughter with a very satisfied grin laying in the hot Californian sun.

"Sophie, your time. Go shower." Chloe said.

"Not now, mother. I am enjoying a little sunshine." Sophie said.

"Sophie, your skin can't take so much sun. Go inside please." Chloe said.

Sophie sat dramatically and got up from her seat.

"Alright." She said, putting on her flip flops and going inside.

Chloe collected the plastic cups she served the kids when they said they were thirsty.

Chloe was in the kitchen washing the plastic cups when Sophie came down looking desperate.

"Mamma! Mamma!" She said. "You won't believe it mamma!"

"What happened?" Chloe asked, thinking something terrible had happened to her daughter who already had a broken wrist.

"I can't get naked for shower time!" Sophie said like it was the worst thing in the world.

Chloe chuckled but decided to play along.

"That is outrageous!" She said.

"I know, mamma. Too horrible." Sophie said.

"I'll help you." Chloe said, grabbing Sophie's hand and leading her inside.

Chloe helped Sophie with her bikini and made her way back down to find her wife had returned with Leslie and Natalie.

"We're back." Beca announced with a smile as she carried to the kitchen four large grocery bags, with Natalie and Leslie carrying one large bag each, trailing right behind her.

"Back so soon." Chloe said. "Who wants to help mommy cook?"

Leslie raised her hand quietly with a grin while Natalie looked at her and then back at Chloe, confused.

"You don't want to help, Nat?" Chloe asked.

"I only help momma in the kitchen." Natalie said timidly.

"You can help Aunt Beca too, Nat." Chloe said.

The little blonde girl looked up at Beca, who offered her an inviting smile.

"We're gonna make tacos and guacamole." Beca said.

"Okay." Natalie said.

Chloe heard a faint voice calling 'mamma' and she knew it was Sophie. She knew the girl would need help getting dressed because of her broken wrist.

It wasn't long until Leslie's birthday came, but the girl didn't seem to excited about it. Chloe and Beca had planned a birthday party with Leslie's school friends, the Bellas, their parents and they rented a bouncy castle. Since they had a bigger backyard after moving, they had bought a trampoline which the girls played in all the time, especially Sophie since she was in gymnastics.

Leslie didn't seem to want a birthday party, she wanted to stay in her room and read. Chloe explained that she would see all her friends from school, that she would play with them in the bouncy castle, eat a lot of sweets and generally have a good time.

Usually, when it was one of the girls' birthdays, they allowed the others to invite a friend so they wouldn't feel alone. So Charlotte invited Maya and Sophie invited one of her friends, Jillian.

The party would be mainly a pool party with a barbecue and Beca would do the cooking. Chloe was settling plastic tables she'd bought years ago for these occasions in the backyard around the pool and Charlotte and Sophie were filling up balloons. Of course Charlotte had to tie both hers and Sophie's since one, Sophie couldn't tie hers and two, Sophie had a broken wrist.

"Quick Char, tie this one for me!" Sophie said, handing Charlotte a baby blue balloon.

Charlotte finished tying her pink balloon before grabbing Sophie's. She made a disgusted face and almost let go of the balloon.

"Ew Sophie! Why do you drool all over your balloons?!" Charlotte said, completely disgusted as she tied the balloon with some difficulty. It was slippery due to the saliva Sophie left in it.

"Sorry." Sophie said. "It must be the way I blow them."

"You should work on blowing and not spitting!" Charlotte said as she handed her a new balloon to fill up.

Sophie frowned as she grabbed the balloon from Char.

"Hey girls, what are you talking about, blowing and spitting?" Beca asked with a curious frown.

"Mom, Sophie drools all over the balloons she fills up!" Charlotte said. "It makes them hard to tie, not to mention disgusting."

Beca looked at Sophie, who had a slight pout as she held her half full balloon.

"Well, she's all the help you've got, Char." Beca said, making the 12-year-old groan. "You know what, I'm not doing anything, let me help you guys. I'll tie Sophie's balloons."

"Thanks a lot, mom." Charlotte said while Sophie grinned.

"See Char? Mommy doesn't mind my spit." Sophie said, blowing her tongue at her older sister.

"Don't provoke, Sophie." Beca said, taking a seat between the two in the living room.

"Hey where's little Leslie?" Sophie asked before she continued blowing her balloon.

"I think she's up in her room, reading." Charlotte said with a frown.

Beca sighed and stood up. Sophie made a face as she was about to hand Beca a full balloon for her to tie. The little redhead sighed and looked at Charlotte, who rolled her eyes and grabbed the balloon from her so she could tie it.

Beca walked in Leslie's room and found her sitting in her purple beanbag chair reading a copy of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, which Beca didn't reckon her having.

"Leslie, whose book is this?" she asked with a confused frown.

Leslie timidly kept her thumb on the page she was reading before looking up at her mom as though she'd been caught doing something she wasn't supposed to.

"It's Sophie's. I borrowed it for a second." Leslie said in a small voice.

"Honey, you know you're supposed to ask before you borrow something from somebody." Beca said. "We're all filling up balloons for your party, come help us."

"I don't want to, mommy." Leslie said. "I don't want a birthday party, I just want to stay here and read my books."

Beca sighed and sat down on the ground in front of her. Leslie's green/blue glasses made her look so cute and intellectual.

"Honey, birthday parties are fun. Your cousins, Joel and Natalie, are supposed to be here any minute. You're gonna put on a nice swimsuit and have a really fun pool party with your friends from school. You're gonna get many presents, it's gonna be fun." Beca said.

Leslie sighed.

"Okay." she said.

"Now, please put Sophie's book where you found it. If you want to read it, you're gonna have to ask her." Beca said. "And come on, help me and your sisters fill up balloons. Since you're the birthday girl, you can help us decide where the balloons go."

Leslie smiled at that.

"Okay." she said. "Can we fill some up with water and throw them in the pool?"

"As long as you pick up the pieces if they blow up, yes." Beca said. "Otherwise the pieces will go up in the filter and we're gonna have a filthy pool."

"I'll pick them up, mommy." Leslie said.

"Okay, good. Come on down then." Beca said, grabbing her hand.

Charlotte, Sophie, Leslie and Beca finished blowing up the balloons before they all put them where Leslie wanted them. Chloe had finally finished setting the tables with pink flowers and pink disposable plastic plates and she smiled at her family when she saw the four girls putting up the balloons.

"Sophie?" Leslie asked quietly, fiddling with her nails.

"Yes little Leslie?" Sophie asked.

"Can I borrow your Chocolate Factory book?" Leslie asked, moving her body from side to side, not looking up at Sophie.

"Okay." Sophie said. "But don't rip the pages."

Leslie grinned and hugged her older sister.

"Thank you so much, So So!" she said.

Sophie giggled.

"Leslie, girls, you might want to go choose your bikinis." Chloe reminded them.

"Okay." Leslie said.

"I wanna wear a very pretty bikini for little Leslie's party." Sophie said.

"Me too." Leslie said.

"Well of course, Leslie! You're the birthday girl, yours will be the prettiest bikini." Chloe said, grabbing Leslie and Sophie's hand.

Charlotte, who had grown up to 32B cup, had to buy all new bikinis since summer started and she was gonna wear one of those.

Chloe had bought pads and tampons and left them all in the girl's bathroom in the bottom drawer but they went unused. Beca had to stop denying and accepted that Charlotte could have her period at any moment and she too grew ready for that. Each time they left with the girls, Chloe and Beca would carry pads, as well as Charlotte. Of course, she wouldn't bleed like she'd been stabbed but they had to be ready.

It wasn't long before Sophie's birthday came. Since it was December, Sophie begged for them to spend New Years at that 'place full of snow', so they'd spend Christmas in Atlanta with their parents before going off to Colorado with the girls.

Leslie was excited, she'd never seen snow in real life, only in movies and she was very happy about that.

Sophie had gotten the complete Harry Potter books set, she was already halfway through the first one, she was really excited.

Beca and Chloe had happily spent their money on that book set. Although pretty much everyone nowadays were buying e-books, they wanted their kids to have books they could leaf through and read.

Sophie took the first three books with her to Colorado, claiming she wanted to read all them before winter break was over. Of course, once she found little Leslie reading The Philosopher's Stone, she threw a gigantic tantrum.

Sophie grabbed the book from Leslie and started yelling at her. Poor little Leslie was terrified, she started crying and hid under the bed.

"What's wrong?" Beca came in.

"M-M-Mo-mmy, Leslie w-was reading m-m-my b-book!" Sophie sobbed.

"What's wrong with that baby?" Beca sat on the bed and Sophie sat on her lap, wrapping her arms around her mother's neck.

"I don't w-want her to!" Sophie said.

"Where is Leslie?" Beca asked, hearing somebody else crying.

Leslie came out from under the bed and also sat on Beca's lap.

"I'm sorry, mommy!" Leslie said.

"Girls, let's talk: Sophie, why don't you want Leslie reading your book?" Beca asked.

Sophie stopped hiccuping and wiped her eyes, calming down

"Because I want to read them first." Sophie said. "They're my books."

"Okay, well that's understandable." Beca said and turned to Leslie. "Leslie, baby, Sophie doesn't want you to read her books alright? She wants to read them first, you're gonna have to respect that."

Leslie nodded quietly.

"Sophie, once you're done with all Harry Potter books, do you think you can let Leslie read them?" Beca asked.

Sophie nodded, rubbing her eye.

"Okay, good. Now let's dry up these beautiful faces so we can play in the snow!" Beca said. She didn't think it'd work, but it did. Both girls grinned widely despite still having wet faces.

"Yaaay! Let's go!" Sophie grabbed Leslie's hand and ran out the room, leaving behind a stunned Beca.

Beca went downstairs to find Sophie putting on her snow pants eagerly, Leslie was doing the same, except she was a bit slower.

"Where's Char mommy?" Sophie asked with a frown.

Beca pointed outside at Chloe and Charlotte taking pictures in the snow.

"Yay!" Sophie said.

"Are you coming outside with us, mommy?" Leslie asked.

"No, honey, I'm gonna stay inside and make some hot chocolate." Beca said.

Sophie stood up from putting on her snow boots and walked towards Beca. She patted her arm as she looked up at her.

"Someone has to do that. So thank you, mommy." Sophie said.

Beca chuckled.

"You're welcome, baby."

Sophie grabbed her jacket as did Leslie and they both went outside to join Charlotte and Chloe.

"We're here! The fun began!" Sophie announced with her arms up.

"Oh we can build a snowman now!" Chloe said.

"Let's do it!" Leslie grinned.

Leslie loved snow, she wasn't as dorky as Sophie when she first saw snow, that's for sure. Of course, Sophie was still a dork.

"Mamma, look!" Sophie called.

Chloe looked up to see her daughter doing a split on the snow. She was grinning widely.

"Soph, isn't that cold?" Charlotte asked.

"Not at all, try it Char!" Sophie said.

Charlotte went down to her splits too and Sophie grinned at her.

"See?" Sophie asked.

"Girls, get off the snow, we're building a snowman!" Leslie said.

Sophie and Charlotte laughed but obeyed.
