Hey pitches! Sorry for the delay, it was not by choice. First of all, my computer died and wouldn't turn back on, so I had no way of updating. Then my cellphone stopped working, sending me off to 10 days of being completely disconnected lol it was fun, actually, it taught me that I don't need electronics to live day to day. Anyway, I have quite a few ideas for this story in mind and I think it's about to get interesting!

Again, Kira was inspired by my own puppy, Kira, also a goberian, now she's almost 7 months old, and has an instagram! If you wanna know what story Kira looks like, go to kiragoberian!

Beca was very happy the girls loved the puppy, Kira. She wasn't very happy, however, with how much Kira cried during her first week. She and Chloe joked that they went back to being parents of a newborn, waking up every hour or so to soothe the puppy.

The girls soon got the hang of it and they were taking great care of Kira. For now, Kira couldn't go out on walks but the girls took her out to the backyard, fed her, watched her, played with her and even started training her.

Charlotte was nervous, she had her job interview coming up and she didn't know what to do. She already said she wanted both her moms to take her to and pick her up from her interview. So that afternoon, Beca and Chloe left Nikki with the little ones and their puppy, and took Charlotte to her first job interview. Since it was summer, she didn't want to be uncomfortable but she didn't want to wear something inappropriate, so she went with jeans, nice shoes and a white blouse and a necklace. She had her hair up in a ponytail and she had a folder with her resume in it, in case she needed it.

Beca and Chloe left her at the entrance of the mall and decided they would talk around for a bit and wait for her to be finished.

Charlotte nervously walked over to the coffee shop and made her way in. Immediately, the manager saw her and called her back to his office. He sat down and she sat behind his desk, looking nervous.

"So, Charlotte, your resume looks great for a 16 year old searching for her first job," he said with a smile. "Your grades are great."

"Thanks!" Charlotte said with a breath she didn't know she'd been holding.

"So, why did you apply here?" he asked her.

"Well, my friend works here as a waitress, she told me you were looking to hire baristas and I thought I'd apply as a first job experience," Charlotte said. "College is getting closer and I wanted to earn my own money, have my independence."

He nodded.

Charlotte thought he'd ask more questions, but he only asked her if she had any questions for him and she said she had none so he nodded.

"I guess that's it," he said before getting up and she followed suit. "Congratulations, Charlotte."

Charlotte's eyes widened.

"You did great, you start training this Monday," he said.

"Oh my God, thank you!" she said. "What time?"

"1 p.m.," he said.

"Alright, thank you!" Charlotte said. "Is there a specific outfit or uniform for the training?"

"No, for the training no, but before you start you will be given your uniform," he said.

"Thank you!" Charlotte said. "See you Monday."

He smiled and walked her out of the shop. Charlotte started walking around and got her phone out, calling her mom. She almost screamed into the phone that she got the job. She waited for a couple of minutes before her mothers came and they headed to the parking lot.

During the summer, Beca and Chloe mostly spent time with Sophie, even though she didn't have much time as well. Charlotte worked part time, the rest of her days she would either spend with her friends Maya and Alice or with her boyfriend. Leslie had asked to be enrolled in Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth, so for 3 weeks she would have day activities, so Chloe would drop her off and Nikki sometimes would pick her back up, or Beca would if she could. Sophie had dance class pretty much all day, sometimes 10 hours a day and she never seemed to be tired or ready to quit.

Beca was in one of those days she had the afternoon free so she was watching Sophie in class. Since it was summer, they were having classes with this master teacher who was in town from New York and Sophie was very excited.

The brunette watched her daughter as she danced, sometimes she would sweat but she would wipe it off and keep going, she never lost her composure and excellent posture. The teacher seemed particularly interested in her and another girl.

The female teacher gave the kids a break and went outside to meet with Beca.

"Hi, you must be Sophie's mother, I'm Francesca," the woman said, extending her hand, which Beca shook.

"Yes, nice to meet you, you can call me Beca," she said.

"Beca, I would like to talk to you about Sophie," Francesca said.

"Alright,"

"Your daughter is very talented, she will go a long way as a dancer," Francesca said.

"I'm so glad to hear that," Beca said.

"Oh yeah!" Francesca said. "My question is, have you thought about homeschooling her?"

Beca frowned in thought.

"No, actually," Beca said.

"Well, if you decide to homeschool her, she would have more time for dance," Francesca said. "Which is something she will need if she wants a future in dance."

"So you're saying I should ignore her studies so she can be a dancer?" Beca said.

"No, absolutely not," Francesca said. "You should look into it, homeschool doesn't mean she will have a bad quality in her studies. She will have private lessons, it might be better if she has difficulties."

"Well, she does learn a bit faster than other students," Beca said. "I'll talk to my wife, talk to Sophie's psychiatrist and think about it."

"Excellent," Francesca said with a smile.

Beca smiled back and they both watched as Sophie took big swigs from her water bottle and waved at her mom before going back inside.

Beca sighed as she watched. The class went on for 30 minutes more before the girls were allowed to go home. Sophie came out, looking tired. Poor baby had red cheeks but a smile on her face. Beca went with her in the locker room to change, putting her (rather large) dance bag down. Sophie sat on the bench and started taking off her pointe shoes. Her mom got her clothes out and that's when she heard a sigh from her daughter.

"What's wrong?" Beca asked, before looking and seeing Sophie undoing the tapes on her toes to reveal blood.

"Another blister," Sophie said. "I need Neosporin."

"And where might that be?" Beca asked, going through Sophie's bag.

"I have in my medicine bag," Sophie said. "The one aunt Aubrey and aunt Stacie gave me for Christmas."

Beca grabbed it and handed her the bag.

"That looks painful," she said.

"Not really," Sophie said. "I need to wash my toe."

Beca helped her apply water on her toe with the help of toilet paper before Sophie applied Neosporin and put the bandage on her toe.

"All good," Sophie said.

Sophie put on her shorts over her tights and put on her flip flops, so thankful for the summer heat, although she didn't enjoy wearing tights.

"Sophie, that looks painful, why didn't you say anything?" Beca asked as Sophie picked up her dance bag.

"Because I was dancing, mommy," Sophie said. "Dance is way more important."

"But.. the blood!" Beca said.

Sophie laughed.

"Mommy, dancers get blisters all the time, it's no big deal!" she said. "It hurts a little but it's so worth it."

"I didn't know that. Why would you dance through your pain? That sounds like such a sacrifice," Beca asked, both putting sunglasses on as they made it to the front doors of the dance studio.

"Bye Sophie!" one of Sophie's friends from dance waved as they left, Sophie and Beca waved back.

"Bye Lana!" Sophie replied before addressing her mother: "Mommy, it's not a sacrifice if I love it."

Beca had to stop for a second to take in that sentence. Sophie looked back at her with a confused look.

"You're not coming? You're the driver, mommy," Sophie said.

Beca laughed and kept walking.

"Sorry, it just took me by surprise, I didn't know you loved dance that much," Beca said.

"Well, let me put it this way: if you broke your fingers, wouldn't you want to keep mixing and being a music producer?" Sophie asked. "Blisters go away, mommy."

Beca opened the car and Sophie got in the front.

"It just.. It surprises me, you've grown so much!" Beca said. Sophie grinned.

"Thanks!" Sophie said.

Beca smiled and they both fastened their seatbelts and the brunette drove off.

During the 4th of July weekend, Beca and Chloe invited their parents over to stay with them. They wanted to go to Atlanta but they had Kira, they didn't want to leave her with Stacie and Aubrey, she was still making a big mess sometimes.

Sophia and Mike were the firsts to arrive, July 2nd, and Sophie was the one who answered the door. Sophia hugged her granddaughter while Mike was able to lift her from the ground.

"Sophie, you look so big!" Mike said.

"Thanks, papa," Sophie said. "Come on in, let's see where mom is."

The two put their bags inside and Sophie closed and locked the door before going over to her mom's office. Kira made sure to greet the two guests, wagging her tail and asking for attention.

"Mom, nana and papa are here," Sophie said after knocking on the door.

"I'll be right there!" Beca said from the inside.

Sophie went back to her grandparents and smiled, snuggling close to her grandfather when Charlotte showed up.

"Hey guys!" the teenager said, greeting both grandparents.

"Char!" Mike hugged her tight. "You look so big!"

"Char has a job now, papa," Sophie said.

"Oh yeah, your mom told us," Mike said. "How's that going?"

"Pretty well," Charlotte said. "I like earning my own money."

"That's always good," Sophia nodded.

Pretto soon, Leslie came down, followed by Chloe to greet her grandparents. Chloe hugged her parents and took them to the guest bedroom.

Once Sophia and Mike had washed up and unpacked, they went back to the living room where Beca met them and Leslie and Sophie played with Kira.

"Sophia, Mike, sorry about that, I had a last minute meeting," Beca said.

"That's not a problem," Sophia said as she hugged her daughter-in-law.

"Where did Charlotte go?" Mike asked.

"Off to work, she only gets two days off," Beca said.

"Wow," Mike said.

"Well she loves it," Chloe said.

"Yeah she does," Beca agreed with a nod as she checked her phone before frowning.

"It's good for her," Mike said. "She needs working experience."

"Um, babe?" Beca asked as she scrolled through her phone. "Why does the internet think I'm adorable?"

"That's because you are, mommy," Sophie said from the floor.

"Excuse me? I'm adorable?" Beca asked her daughter. Sophie and Leslie nodded. "What makes me adorable?"

"The fact that you try to come off as 'badass' when you are in fact, a huge softie," Leslie said, using air quotes on the word badass.

"What? I am a badass!" Beca said.

"And there's also the fact that you're short," Sophie said.

"Hey, you're shorter than me!" Beca pointed out.

"That's because I'm 12, mommy," Sophie said.

"Your birthday is in 5 months, Soph," Chloe reminded her.

"Why did you ruin it, mamma, who was I hurting?" Sophie asked, making Chloe laugh.

"I can't believe the internet, my fans, think I'm adorable!" Beca said.

"You'd rather they fear you?" Leslie asked.

"No.. I mean, I just wanted to be taken seriously as the badass that I am!" Beca said, making her two daughters and wife laugh. "Hey, I'm serious!"

"You're so funny, mommy," Sophie laughed and shook her head before looking up at Leslie. "Come on, Leslie, let's take Kira outside to go potty before she has an accident."

Leslie nodded and the two ran outside with Kira.

Beca looked at her wife incredulous, while her in-laws chuckled. Chloe just kissed her softly on the lips, making the brunette relax instantly.

Charlotte had already texted her mothers to let them know she had something important to talk to them about and they were curious to say the least. The girl was a teenager, recently turned 16, anything could come out of the conversation.

When the teenager came home from work one evening, the three sat down in the living room to talk. Leslie was off at Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth and Sophie was at dance and Nikki was going to pick them up, so it was the perfect time.

"So Char, what do you want to talk about? Your mom is about to bite her nails off if you don't say it soon," Chloe joked and Beca elbowed her on the ribs, making her laugh.

"Well, it makes me nervous too," Charlotte said and she did show nervousness for the first time in months.

"Okay, is it hard to process? Do you need anything from us?" Beca asked. "Or have you made a bad decision and need our help? Oh, is it your second period?"

"Mom!" Charlotte cut her off with a laugh. "Calm down, it's not bad, I'm just nervous saying it!"

Beca took a deep breath and Chloe kissed her on the cheek with a chuckle.

"What is it, Char?" Chloe asked.

"Well, I.." Charlotte became red in the face and looked down at her hands. "I sort of.. I sort of um.. Lost my virginity."

Both her mothers' eyes widened and they were speechless for a while.

"You did? When?" Beca asked.

"Last weekend, to Ethan," Charlotte said, becoming more and more self conscious by the second.

"Wow that was a long time, you'd been dating him for quite a while," Chloe said.

"I know, but I was nervous, I was afraid it would hurt," Charlotte said.

"Do you mind if we ask how it was?" Chloe asked.

"No, I don't," Charlotte said. "It was.. It was good. I expected to feel a lot of pain and there to be a lot of blood."

"Yeah, no, that's labor, Char," Chloe said with a chuckle. Charlotte chuckled too, easing up.

"Anyway, it wasn't like that, it was.. It was good! Great, in fact!" Charlotte said. "And Ethan was so gentle and sweet,"

"That's great, honey, we're happy for you," Chloe said.

"I know you are, ma, but mom, you haven't said a word in like 2 minutes," Charlotte said.

Both turned to look at Beca, who was staring at her daughter but seemed to be in a trance.

"You're really growing up," Beca said, finally. "I was just.. Taking it in."

Charlotte nodded knowingly.

"You followed my advice, didn't you? I mean, you wore a condom, right?" Beca asked.

"No, actually and now I'm pregnant," Charlotte said.

"What?!" Beca's eyes widened again.

Charlotte laughed.

"I'm kidding! Of course we wore a condom! We're only 16! We don't want kids or STDs!" Charlotte said.

"I'' happy to hear that," Beca said with her hand over her heart. "Thanks for the heart attack, by the way."

"You're welcome," Charlotte grinned.

"Thanks, Char, for telling us," Chloe smiled, grabbing her wife's hand. "We really want you girls to feel like you can tell us anything."

"I know, and I feel comfortable talking to you guys about this," Charlotte said. "Just don't expect me to come over every week to tell you about my sex life."

"Well do you hear us telling you about our sex life?" Beca asked.

"Thank the Heavens, no!" Charlotte said, making the two adults laugh before getting up from the couch. "Anyway, I need to get ready, Alice invited Maya and I for dinner at her house."

"Okay, I can drop you off," Beca said, getting up.

"Alright, I'll go take a shower," Charlotte said, going upstairs.

Beca turned to her wife on the couch and smiled, she bent down and placed a kiss on the redhead's lips before disappearing, not before receiving a slap on the butt, making her jump and wince.
