Next Chapter: A Shocking Surprise

Onyx's Spies Something Pink?

"I knew we were forgetting something, it was Sparxs?" Light said calmly to Spyro and the others while flying through the air. Spyro looked at Light and spoke to him in a normal tone of voice.

"I wonder if he told the Guardians of what happened to me and Cynder." Light looked at the blue clear skies ahead of him and spoke calmly to himself and the others around him.

"He better of have told the Guardians of what happened, if he didn't he'll be sorry." Theresa laughed silently to herself; Fire kept on flying, but smiled none the less, while Spyro gave Light a small smile as well.

"What do you plan to do, if he didn't tell the Guardians?" Spyro answered lightly. Light looked at him for a moment or two, and then looked ahead of himself.

"Oh come on Spyro, do you really have to ask that question?" He said

Spyro thought to himself for a moment and said, "Pretty much, why?" Theresa brought up her right paw to her face and shook it side to side which made Fire smile to herself and made Light slightly annoyed.

As they flew through the air quietly, they noticed how beautiful and peaceful it was up here in the bright blue skies of the dragon realms. The white clouds moved on by slowly and peaceful around them, and while nice calm wind blow gently against their nice warm scales. However the peace and quiet was short lived.

"It's peaceful up here in the skies." Fire said softly. Light looked at her and noticed her smile, which made him smile a little.

"It is isn't." he said lightly to Fire while looking ahead of himself to watch anything out of the ordinary.

"Wish it was always peaceful like this." Theresa said normally to everyone. Spyro and Fire smiled at Theresa's words and wished silently for it to come true, however Light did not smile and had his eyes half closed, because he knew that wishes, dreams, and fantasy's never come true.

"It's not that simply Theresa, whenever theirs peace and quiet, there's always someone out there trying to wipe it out with war and chaos." He said to calmly to everyone. Fire looked at him, if looks could kill it be hers.

"You're such a buzz kill Light!" Fire said annoyed to Light. Light looked at Fire and smiled a little to himself, making Fire even more annoyed with him.

"I'm simply telling the truth Fire." Light answered softly while turning his head forward. Fire rolled her eyes and stayed quiet while Theresa spoke out.

"Can we change the subject please, talking about war and chaos is kind of killing the mood for us!" Light rolled his purple eyes at Theresa's words and just flew on ahead with the others in tow.

"Wonder how Onyx is doing on his spy mission so far?" Fire asked lightly.

"I'm sure he's just fine, Fire. Besides we've done this type of stuff before." Light answered softly to Fire. While flying through the air of the blue clear skies of the dragon realms, Light thought silently to himself.

"Onyx, you better have not been followed. Because I have a feeling that someone close to us went with you without my permission. Just stay on your guard, friend."

With a flap of his wings, Light charged forward of the group and flew towards their destination, The Dragon Temple.

Onyx's Part

(Current Location: Warfang City Square)

As Onyx walked around the city square market place, looking around for any signs of Ember the pink dragoness or her gang. He noticed a lot dragons moving from stall to stall, buying and sell things from food to rich wears to gain more gold or provide for their families at home with food or well-made blankets. Onyx continued walking around the busy market place and was having a hard time moving around the dragons, moles, and cheetahs. As Onyx looked to his right, he was bumped rudely by on coming lightning dragon which made him mad as hell, as he was about to tell him off, the lightning dragon had already disappeared into the oncoming crowds of dragons, moles, and cheetahs. With that Onyx signed softly to himself and decided to move on with his spy mission of Ember.

Onyx continued walking and looking around for any sign of Ember or her gang, but was finding no signs of them or her anywhere. It's as if Ember had suddenly disappeared off the face of the world, but Onyx would not give up. Only quitters gave up and Onyx was not one of those quitters, he was a fighter and would stay here in the city till the end if he has too, until the color changing spell wore off of course. He looked everywhere for Ember and her gang, he looked in the alleyways, the city square shops, Inns, restaurants, the library, and even the rooftops of these ancient buildings. But he did this careful and quietly, because if the Warfang guards saw him, it was game over and hello prison. He had heard of stories of Warfang Prison and they weren't pretty either. The guards of the prison would torture their prisoners until the prisoner was either exhausted from their beatings or whip wounds and then throw into their cells unconscious, wounded or even worse dead, from the amount of blood loss that is. Warfang prison was not the place to spend the rest of your life behind bars.

As he jumped off from one of the building's rooftop on to the hard ground on all fours, without breaking any of his bones in his body. Onyx looked to his left and then right to make sure nobody was watching him or fallowing him for that matter, with the coast clear. He looked up into the sky and noticed right away that the sun had gone down a bit, which only meant an hour had gone by already. He couldn't believe that an hour had already past, but he knew he was running out of time and needed to find Ember's hideout soon or otherwise game over. He had one hour left to look for Ember's new hideout and one hour left before the color changing spell wears off. Onyx was running out of time and he had to do something fast or the spy mission was over.

"I'm running out of time. I have an hour left before the color changing spell wears off. Then I'm back to my original scale color, which I can't wait for by the way. "He said calmly to himself while looking at his right red paw. After half a minute of looking at his paw that he bought back down to the ground. He noticed his location and surroundings; he was no longer in Warfang City Square anymore, he was in Warfang's downtown quarters. It was quiet and surprising peaceful as well, there were no dragons, moles, or even cheetahs running around looking for the nearest shopping stand to buy or sell things for their families or for own personal greed. It just felt peaceful, like a paradise in heaven. There was no large tree here like there was in Warfang city square, but instead a water fountain sitting nicely and peaceful in the center of Warfang downtown quarter, with the water fountain here in Warfang's downtown quarter, the fountain made downtown feel homely and if not safer. As Onyx looked the around the area, he found some small shopping stands already closed. All expect for one, Onyx noticed that the shopping stand had weapons, shields, armour, and every god damn thing you'll ever need in life to defend yourself in a fight or war. But the most noticing thing about the weapon's stand was the old grey mole behind it. The mole looked like he was in his late 40's maybe late 50's, but Onyx didn't know for such. What stood out the most about the old grey mole was that he wore black clothing from head to toe and wore an old pair of silver glasses over his blue eyes. Even the mole's stand had a unique name to it, Fight Like You Mean It, and below the name was another saying, Low prices every day and night. Whoever this old mole was, he certainly loved his weapons a lot and gold by the looks of it. Onyx looked up at the sky one more time and knew he was running out of time, searching and looking for around for Ember had been a fail, so he made a decision. With no other choice, Onyx started walking forward towards the old mole's weapon stand, to gets some information on the whereabouts of Ember and her gang's new hideout, because looking for her was already a fail and if asking somebody about Ember's whereabouts and where's she's hiding at, then so be it. Because looking and searching for someone sure as hell didn't work, might as well try asking. Onyx reached the old moles weapon stand and noticed the old mole had fallen asleep on the job, been as kind as he was. Onyx made a coughing sound which indeed woke up the old mole, as the old grey mole moved his head side to side. He looked up and noticed that he had a visitor, a fire dragon nor less. The mole stood up from his chair and leaned forward on the counter of his stand with both arms crossed and had smiled a little to himself.

"How may I help you young fire dragon?" The old grey mole asked him warmly. Onyx looked at the old mole in confusion for a few short moments, but then he remembered he used a changing spell on himself to bind in with Warfang's citizens and not get caught by the city guards. The color changing spell may have worked wonderfully on him so far, the only down sides to it, was the amount of time the color changing spell needed to use and give him the appearance of a young fire dragon, which he didn't like at all, and then Onyx thought to himself for a moment.

"Silly me, I may be a dark dragon in my real form, but when I'm using the Color Changing Spell on myself, it turns my scales to a different color. The only problem with the Color Changing Spell, it chooses your color for you to use. I and Light should have thought this spell through some more, too late for it now though. As Light always said, "If it works, it works. If it doesn't, it doesn't." Light you sure are wise with words, if not wiser then us all. The old mole might ask for my name in this form, let's see how it plays out first." Onyx shook his side to side for a brief moment, and then he looked at the old grey mole with a small smile on his red muzzle.

"Sorry for not answering your question sooner, kind of zoned out there." Onyx said softly to the old grey while the old grey mole smiled a little to himself.

"No worries young fire dragon. Now, how may I help you it's not every day that a young dragon comes here looking for weapons and such?" The old mole said nicely.

"It will probably be the last day too. Anyway, I'm looking for a dragoness that's been running around here for some time; think you could give me some clues?" Onyx asked the old grey mole nicely. The old mole looked at him puzzled for a second and then smiled for a quick moment or too.

"Oh sorry, I don't sell sluts here unfortunately. But, if you're looking for a good time though, just head the down street here and then make a left turn, then on right side of the street you should find the building you're looking for." The old grey mole said teasingly. Onyx had his eyes half closed due to the answer the old mole had given him.

"Not the answer I was hoping for. Although, a little peak wouldn't hurt though, but then I have to deal with my girlfriends wrath and that's something I don't want to happen." Onyx thought to himself, he then imaged Kiwi chasing after him, calling him names, throwing knifes or swords at him as he tried to evade them from being cut or worse killed. Onyx pushed those thoughts away for right now and focused on his mission instead, because time was running out. Onyx fully opened his eyes and looked at the mole with a calm and collective face.

"Thanks, but I already have a girlfriend and she's plenty enough for me, thank you." Onyx said calmly to the old grey mole who smiled none the less.

"Loyal to one girl huh, oh well at least I tried." He said in a normal tone of voice.

"You know for an old mole, you sure have a good sense of humour." Onyx said normally to the old grey mole who laughed a little to himself.

"Well, what can I say I may be old in age and shit, but that doesn't stop me from doing other things like helping others with work or teaching the young moles and cheetahs about history or training them claw to claw combat or to wield weapons to defend themselves when the time comes. This weapon stand here was sold to me by an old friend of mine; it keeps me busy these days and pays the bills off. So I'm happy with it." The old grey mole said happily to Onyx.

"Well, at least you're helping around here, that's what counts right?" Onyx said calmly to the old mole. The mole smiled a little more and nodded.

"Your damn right it counts. I even train my own sons to become the best spy's in Warfang." He said proudly to Onyx. Onyx again had a puzzled face and decided to ask the old grey mole about it.

"Your sons are in training to become spies?" The old mole nodded and just continued to smile with pride.

"Indeed, although their not as good as me even if I am old and grey. But it's time to pass on the torch to the young generation instead of the old." The mole said to Onyx nicely.

"I thought so." Onyx thought to himself. Onyx decided to ask him a question, "So, you used to be a spy as well?" The old grey mole nodded and didn't smile this time, but instead frowned a little bit due to Onyx's question of him.

"Yes, I was once. Was the best spy in the entire city of Warfang in my younger days, but those days are long ago now. Now I'm a simply old seller who sells weapons, help others with work, training the next generation with weapons and paw to paw combat, and teaching the young about the world and history. But that's part of life." The old grey mole said somewhat tiredly to Onyx. After a minute or two of silence between the two, the old mole cheered up a little and spoke in a nice tone of voice.

"Now, you said you're looking for a dragoness. Why is that if I may ask?"

"I know there's been a dragoness running around here in Warfang for years; you know the one with the "pink scales"." Onyx said quietly to the old mole, so no one could hear them talk or listen in on what they're talking about. As soon as Onyx said pink scales, the old moles face went from happy to calm and quiet one, even his eyes were half closed due to the answer he got from the young fire dragon.

"You're looking for Ember aren't you? Well, you're not the first one coming here and looking for her, others came here for more what they bargained for. Those poor bastards didn't even stand a chance." The old mole said calmly to Onyx.

"I'm guessing she killed them then?" He asked the old mole calmly. The old grey mole nodded and spoke normally, "Your only half right, on that part. Ember already put one dragon in the grave and the other six in the mental hospital for craziness." Now this was new news to Onyx, he never thought Ember would leave a dragon/dragoness alive and live to tell the tale, but Inferno and Sapphire though, they escaped from Ember and did live. Even Inferno and Sapphire's minds and personality were perfectly fine and in place, but these six other dragons however though had their perfect minds to turn from nice to crazy in a matter of minutes. Ember's fighting style and powers was changing fast and if not improving as well.

"If Ember continues improving her training, fighting style, and powers. She'll be able to fight on par with Spyro and Cynder, maybe even be on par with Theresa." Onyx thought to himself, Onyx shook this head for a short moment and then looked at the old grey mole with a calm face.

"I can't see Ember twisting and breaking their minds that easily, fire dragon/dragonesses don't have that type of power. I'm guessing it's some sort of spell she used on them. That would be the only answer to it." Onyx said calmly to the old grey mole.

"That could be it or the other way around. Instead of using a spell on them, Ember could have tortured them to the point of extreme that they don't even remember their own names, what they did, who they were, or who their friends and family were even. I'm thinking that's what Ember did to those six dragons in the mental hospital and I can't see Ember twisting, breaking, or torturing their minds until they can't remember anything. The only one to do this was Scarlett; she was best one at it and even made it look like an art. Ember on the other hand, couldn't even lift a claw to it. Ember's just too weak to use it, even you would agree with me young fire dragon." He said quietly to Onyx so he could hear it. Onyx nodded at the mole's words, but he was wasting time with talking and now was the time to ask the real question he wanted. So, Onyx spoke in a calmly and quiet tone of voice this time, "Now can you tell me where I can find Ember or not. I don't mind the talking and all, but some answers would be nice now." The old grey mole had now a calm look about him now, probably due to Onyx's question of where to find Ember.

"Why tell you where she is, when I can show you." He said calmly while pointing his longest claw from his left paw at a young water dragoness who just walked up from the left side of the street and was looking around to make sure nobody was following and watching her.

Onyx looked at the young water dragoness and noticed right away something wasn't right about her. The water dragoness was looking everywhere, behind her, front, side to side, and was just completely looking everywhere were her blue head could turn to. It's almost if she was scared of being followed and watched from the dark alleys of the city or from being watched from the glaring guards of Warfang. As he continued looking at the water dragoness, he noticed right away that this water dragoness had a golden heart shaped pendant around her neck with a ruby heart in the middle of the golden pendant. Even her body type was different, almost like a fire dragoness. The other thing different about this water dragoness was that she dark blue eyes and golden horns, claws, wing tips, and tail blade even. But it was the tail blade that gave away the water dragoness the most, water dragoness usually don't have heart shaped tail blades which is rare to see or even in person. Also water dragonesses don't golden horns, claws, wing tips, or tail blades. Water dragonesses usually have pure white or light grey claws, horns, and etc. Also water dragonesses don't have dark blue eyes; they will usually have light blue to normal blue eyes. But this young water dragoness, was something else, but he knew who this dragoness was desperate her new form and look. This water dragoness was none other than Ember the pink fire dragoness. After a few minutes of watching Ember looking around and such, Onyx looked back at the old grey mole before Ember catch's him watching and spying on her.

"So, she's using the Color Changing Spell on herself to blend in with Warfang's citizens and not get caught by the city guards. The spell's good to use when you're on a spy mission or to retreat when you're in terrible danger to get away from your enemies, but the only problem with spell is, it doesn't last very long." The old grey mole said sternly to Onyx.

"How'd you know she was using the Color Changing Spell?" Onyx asked the old mole questionably. The old grey mole glared at the young dragon for a quick second, but smiled just a little bit though.

"Kid, I've been in the spy business for my entire life, and I've seen Ember use it on herself some years ago when I was sent to spy on her for the King and Queen of Warfang. I also know the two dragons that created that spell, Light the dragon and Onyx the dragon, that's how I know Ember used it, the Color Changing Spell." The old grey mole said sternly. Onyx gave the old mole a hard glare, due to the old moles tone of voice towards him, Onyx then thought to himself.

"He knows quite a bit about us then I thought this could be trouble for me." Onyx continued giving the old mole a hard glare, but then he smiled just a little and spoke in a calmly tone of voice towards the old mole, "If you know she's using the Color Changing Spell, why not reported it to the guards of the city then?". The old grey mole glared even more at Onyx and by the looks of it was not happy about the question he just got asked.

"Those pencil pushers who call themselves Warfang city guards couldn't even catch a fly if they wanted to, and all they do is stand around all day and watch the small affairs happen on the streets while Ember runs around causing even more trouble. The only person in Warfang's city guard that actually cares about capturing Ember is the Lieutenant of the guard, at least he's doing something about it and he's also hoping of joining the Spy group of Warfang, nobody knows about that other then me and the Guild master of the Spies, so keep it a secret between us alright." The old mole said sternly to Onyx, while trying to keep his anger down a bit.

"Well, at least the Lieutenant's doing something about Ember, what about the Commander or Captain of the guard what the hell are they doing?" Onyx asked in a hard tone of voice.

"For all I care, they can shove it! I'm thinking they're not taking responsibility like leaders should be. The Captain of guard will be leaving on vacation for next four and half years, this leaving the Lieutenant in charge of capturing Ember all by himself. Some captain of guard he is. What really pisses me off is that the Commander of guard, who's now in charge of the city guards while the Captain goes on leave, is not bothering to help the Lieutenant capturing Ember. He's just to focused on protecting the city from the Dark Master's forces, protecting the King and Queen from harm, keeping the city streets safe, and capturing murders and thief's, and then throwing them in jail to rot, even the ones who are completely innocent go to." The old grey mole said sternly to Onyx, while the young dragon had his eyes half closed for a moment or too, then Onyx fully opened his blood red eyes which focused on the mole.

After a moment of silence between the two, Onyx looked back at Ember to make she hadn't left already, because if she had left while he was talking to the old grey mole, then the spy mission was a complete failure. As he focused his red eyes on her, he found out that Ember was talking to some shadow dragon that was probably trying to ask her out or something, by the looks that Ember was giving the young shadow dragon, the trying to ask her out question would probably no. Onyx decided to look back at the old mole and see if he was watching too, the answer was a yes. The mole turned his head back and looked back at Onyx as well, but with a hard look on his face.

"Don't know why that young shadow dragon bothers asking her out for, the only answer he's going to get is a big fat, NO." Said the old grey sternly, while Onyx laughed silently to himself.

"He's going have to learn someday." Onyx laughed.

"He could have at least chosen a different dragoness to ask out on a date instead of miss trying to destroy the world and everything in it." He said sternly to Onyx again, while Onyx continued to laugh to himself. As Onyx stopped laughed to himself, his look became sternly and was now time to go, because the young shadow dragon was now walking away with his head down while Ember watched him go in pain.

"I better get going and follow Ember before she some "how" disappears from my sight." Onyx said calmly to the grey mole while the mole just huffed to himself.

"I'll give you the information you need then, Onyx the dragon." Said the old mole quietly and sternly to the dragon, soon as Onyx heard his name being called by the old mole he knew he had be caught red handed, and was even more shocked on how the old grey mole knew him and his name.

"So, he knew I was using the Color Changing Spell on myself then the entire time, but I shouldn't be surprised since he's a spy himself, lucky bastard." Onyx thought to himself silently. Onyx then faced the old grey mole and was ready for anything to happen to him, so he waited to see. After a minute or two of silence between the two nothing happened other than starring at each other of course, but the old mole decided to break the silence between them.

"I'm not going to attack you if that's you think, Onyx. I'm too damn old to fight anymore, besides if I was to take you on in a fight. I wouldn't last one second would I now?" The old mole said calmly and quietly to Onyx which surprised the young the shadow dragon. Onyx then signed softly to himself and decided to let his guard down just a bit, but not much just in case the old mole decided to attack him.

"Have to be careful these days, because if he attacks me then I have to be ready for it and anything else he throws at me, no matter how small he is." While he thought to himself while laughing a little to himself at the last part of words he said to himself. Onyx stopped laughing and focused on the old mole, smiled at a little.

"So, you knew who I was then this entire time and didn't say anything. What now, you going to tell the guards or something?" Onyx asked quietly.

"Like I said before Onyx, I'm not telling those pencil pushers anything about this meeting or why you're looking for Ember. I know you and Light weren't the cause of that murder here in Warfang either." The old mole said somewhat normally to Onyx, which caused Onyx to question the old grey mole about it.

"What, that murder of those two dragons that placed a bounty on my and Light's head for?" The old mole nodded and signed silently and softly to himself before speaking to Onyx calmly.

"Yes, I was there when the murders happened and the one who did it was Ember. She left a note there on the two bodies and with yours and Light's name on it. She set it up, so you two could take the fall and blame for what happened. That's why there's a bounty on your heads and why the Commander wants you two to be hanged for the crimes you two did. But I think he's going to have a hard time trying to capturing you and Light." The old grey mole said in a nice calm tone to Onyx.

"He never will capture us, not as long as we keep slipping though his claws and guards. But I need any other information you can give me, because Ember is leaving right now as we speak." Onyx said in a worried tone of voice to the mole, while watching Ember leaving the street she was on then turning on her left down the next street.

"Well, you're in luck today, because I was going throw this paper away later in the day." He said calmly while he went through his left pocket and then pulling out a piece of paper with a picture in it and what appeared to be an old hospital on it. With his left paw, he slide the piece of paper across the weapon stand counter towards the young shadow dragon and left the paper there so the dragon could get it easily instead of him holding out it. As Onyx looked back at the old mole, he noticed a small piece of paper on the counter of the weapon stand and picked it up with his right paw and was about to open it up and look at it till the old mole spoke out calmly.

"I don't think you have enough time to look at it right now, because Ember's leaving. Look at it on your way there, young dragon." Onyx nodded, he then looked at the piece of paper in his right paw and then with his power the paper disappeared into thin air and was not to be found, Onyx lowered his right paw back to the ground and started to walk away from the old mole's weapon stand before stopping and looking over his left shoulder at the old grey mole.

"Thanks for everything, old mole. You know I never did catch your name." He said kindly to the old grey mole who just smiled none the less.

"It's Blade, young dragon. But you better get going before Ember gets farther away from you." Blade said nicely to Onyx, while the young dragon looked forwards to see if Ember was still walking down the street. Onyx then started running straight down the street towards one of the buildings before yelling out.

"Goodbye Blade, hopeful we'll meet again one day!" Blade continued smiling while waving goodbye with his right paw at Onyx. As Blade watched Onyx reach one of the buildings, he noticed the young dragon jumped into the air and then flew his way towards the roof top of the building and landed graceful on the roof top, before you know it Onyx started running on the roof tops to hopeful catch up to Ember and follow her to her new hide out. As Onyx's body no longer could be seen from here, Blade quit waving his right paw and he knew Onyx would find Ember's hideout in no time, but hopeful the guards won't see him while following Ember.

"Good luck, Onyx. I wish you and Light the best of luck on your journeys." Blade said to himself softly while closing his eyes and falling asleep on the job again, this time quietly.

Cut To Onyx

As Onyx continued following and watching Ember from the roof tops, he careful and quietly jumped to the next building roof top and made sure to look around his surroundings for any guards standing on guard watch or were trying to follow him. But so far no guards were on watch or following him, which means the Commander's guards were all stationed at the hospital area, which could mean big trouble for him, even if he were to follow Ember deeper into the hospital. As he jumped the next building to follow Ember, he looked forward for a second or too, and noticed a large building far from here sitting in the middle of some streets, while being surrounded by homes on every street that was there and judging from the size of it, the large building had to be the hospital he was looking for, although he didn't suspect that the old hospital would be surrounded by homes though. After 15 minutes of continuing to follow Ember on the building roof tops towards his destination, Onyx started to notice the Color Changing Spell on himself was wearing out and that his dark scales were showing.

"Damn this spell! I only have 20 minutes left till the Color Changing Spell wears off and then I'll be back to my original scale color and there's still two miles left to go yet. Let's just hope that 20 minutes is enough time to make it there."

He looked over the ledge at Ember while he jumped to the next roof top in front of him, continued on following Ember, but he noticed right away that she was walking rather faster than usually, something was not right. "She's walking faster for some strange reason, what could that answer be?" He looked more to his left and noticed another dragon was following Ember, just like he was doing now. The young dragon was doing a good job on following Ember from behind, although he could done better job on spying though. Spying from behind is well good and all, although it gives away the person who is spying. As Onyx followed Ember from the roof tops, he noticed that this young dragon was one of the Lieutenant's spies and judging from his size which would be the same as Flame's or he could be at least slightly taller or larger than Flame, who knows and judging from his age he looked to be about the same age as Flame as well or even younger, but Onyx couldn't tell from his position though, so he decided to follow and watch them both from the roof tops. As he continued to follow Ember and the young dragon, he looked around his surroundings and saw no guards around again. These guards were eithers the Captains or the Commander's guard, because when he looked around the roof tops none of their guards were around here even, which would mean they were guarded one specific place, the old abandoned hospital that Ember and her gang where hiding at, but this time it was a new hide out for them.

"Might as well have a look at that paper that Blade gave me to look at, although I hardly doubt it's going to give me the information I need about Ember though." As Onyx looked down at Ember and her "other" follower for a quick second, he looked forward and the paper that Blade gave him reappeared in front of him and floated there while he jumped to the next building. As the paper started to unfold in front of him, he took another look down at Ember and the other follower to make sure that none of them went of course or escaped. As he looked forward, he noticed that the paper was unfolded and became whole. As he looked at the paper in front of him, there was a picture of an old hospital on the paper and words below it, telling the story of what happened to the once proud hospital that now stands abandoned. As he looked at the picture more he noticed that the old hospital had small walls surrounding the old building and homes all around the hospital, which meant this old hospital was a local one for all the homes around it. Which would make sense since there are so many homes around it, but didn't expect Ember and her gang to be hiding here, with so many homes there you'd think there be some witnesses, but there weren't any. Onyx looked down at Ember and the other follower to make sure they were there and they were there. As he looked back at the paper he was reading while again jumping the next building roof top, he noticed in the paper that the old hospital had quite a bit of a bloody history to it, and it was not very nice either.

"Warfang's Legacy Hospital is one of the city's oldest hospitals next to the Hope Hospital and the Legend Hospital, but due to the Hope Hospital being mysterious burnt down and no witnesses to be found or coming forward, the Legacy and Legend Hospitals are still the city's oldest hospitals, with the Legend hospital still being used till this very day. While many hospitals were built for citizens of Warfang, the Legacy was built for the locals due to the homes being built around the hospital at the time, the Legacy would see many great years of saving lives from the Great Wars or the battles against The Dark Master's forces. While many other lives were lost within the Legacy, it was still the best hospital to go to while being badly injured or near death."

"However the Legacy would also play the part as one of the bloodiest massacres in Warfang history. 25 years ago, 265 patients were killed and murder in their sleep, this event would be known by all as "The Bloody Legacy Massacre", when questioning the guards about the murders that day, they all said, "It's going to take us many years to get over what we saw in there. We feel even sorrier for the families who lost their loved ones in this bloody massacre. It's going to take them many years to get over their loved ones death, maybe even more." Even the doctors and the nurses were all scared and couldn't believe such a thing would happen to their hospital and were even more scared about the amount of blood that was over all over the walls, floors, doors, and ceilings of their beloved hospital. Even the cleaners who worked there for many years were even scared of what happened and were also concerned about the amount of blood there was, even saying, "It's going to take us a long time to wash and clear all the blood of the walls, doors, windows, ceilings, and floors. Who knows how long it will take." However there was one question on everybody's mind, where was the killer? It would take the guards only one day to find him, he was 1000 years in age and was a dark dragon, many citizens and guards of Warfang were in shock that a dragon of their own city would murder so many innocent lives in their sleeps."

"The dark dragon who was caught and sent to court the very next day, told his side of the story of what had happened that day to the King and Queen, as well as the judge of the court. According to his story, he was placed under a spell by the Dark Master and was told to murder the patients in the Legacy Hospital, even going as far to say, "I tried my very best to break the spell that was placed on me, by the Dark Master, but it was no use he was just too strong." However the King, Queen, the judge of the court, and the citizens of Warfang who were in the court house that day, didn't believe one bit of the dark dragon's story. So, the King and the judge of the court decided to put a Truth Spell on the dark dragon to see if he was telling the truth or not, but the dark dragon was not telling truth instead he told the King and the judge that he made up the entire story and would blame the deaths on the Dark Master instead of him. When the King asked the dark dragon why would he do such a brutal and horrific crime, the dark dragon came up with one complete answer, "I enjoy killing, their blood on my claws, breaking their bones, hearing them scream, and guess what. I ENJOYED IT!" after hearing the answer, chills ran down everybody's backs that day. After five days of battling on what to do about the dark dragon's fate, the judge found the 1000 year old dark dragon guilty of murder and that his fate was to be decided by the King of Warfang. The King decided the fate of the 1000 year old dark dragon was to be killed, body burned and destroyed, and his soul to be sealed into Convexity for all eternity. The dark dragon found this to be unfair and that he should be sent to prison for life, instead of being killed, but the King repelled coldly to him "Seems fair to me, after what you did to those poor souls you murder!" After the dark dragon's fate was sealed he later was killed, his body burned and completely destroyed, and later his soul was then sealed into Convexity for all eternity by the World Guardians, with this event ended and justice brought to the families who lost their dear loved ones, things seemed to be brought back to normal, at least till the hauntings started happening later."

"Three months after the brutal massacre at the Legacy, the old hospital was fixed and cleaned from top to bottom, and the Legacy was back up and ready for busy. After two months of being the successful hospital in Warfang, everything seemed to be back to normal. However that all started to change when the patients started witnessing strange and creepy events around the hospital, many of the new patients staying at the hospital would hear moans and screams coming from their rooms or the halls, but there was nobody there causing these strange noises, other patients would also say that their things would disappear from their room and reappear in a completely different location in the hospital, the new patients said it was the doctors and nurses doing by moving their beloved items to these different locations, when we asked the doctors and the staff working there they said, "Now would we do something so stupid by moving their beloved things, we weren't even in the rooms when this happened." Other patients would also hear heavy footsteps coming from the stairs, hallways, and even in their rooms as well, but the doctors would always say one thing to the patients, "There's nobody there." But the creepiest if not eerie and chilling tale was that the patients would see ghostly like figures roaming the halls of the hospital late at night and even during the day. When we asked the doctors and nurses about what the patients were seeing at night, in their exact words were, "Just might be their imagination." Which told us they don't believe in ghosts or their just too afraid to speak the words that their beloved hospital is haunted by ghosts? A week later, the doctors and nurses also started witnessing the same events as the patients were, and rumors about these strange happenings started to spread like wild fire though out the city. That's when the citizens of Warfang knew that the Legacy hospital was haunted.

"While the rumors about the Legacy being haunted continued to spread out like a wild fire, the news about the haunting of the Legacy caught the attention of the King and Queen of Warfang and they decided to see these strange hauntings for themselves to see if it was true or not, and boy did they witness some strange and eerie events during their stay at the Legacy. A week later we managed to get some questions about the King's stay at the Legacy, because the Queen was at court working in his place. The King told us his and his mate's story and said to us, "It was the creepiest and most eerie event in our entire lives; we couldn't even sleep for one whole night because we couldn't stop thinking about what we saw with our very own eyes at the Legacy that night. This strange event will probably never leave my and my mate's mind for a very long time to come. The Legacy is very well haunted, that's for damn sure." When we asked the King for more questions about his and Queen's stay at the Legacy, he told us he saw strange shadow figures around the hospital and heard heavy footsteps from the stairs and main floor of the hospital while his mate the Queen witnessed seeing white lights coming from the basement and heard bone chilling screams coming from the patients room, but there nobody there but the patients themselves. After the getting questions from the King, we decided to ask the owner of the Legacy hospital if we could have an interview with him; however he declined the interview with us and said to us, "I don't need more bullshit interviews with the papers anymore." He did however tell us before he kicked us out from the Legacy, that he was hiring a Spiritual dragoness to come and see what was causing these strange hauntings at the Legacy hospital and its patients."

"Two weeks later, we decided to interview the owner of the hospital again; however he declined the interview again and told us we should leave before he called the guards on us, but we stood our ground and asked him for just one single question and he agreed to if for one question though. We asked him, "What did the spiritual dragoness say that was causing these strange hauntings at the Legacy?" According to his words and his words only to us, "The spiritual dragoness that had come here two weeks ago told me the reasons for these strange hauntings was that the 265 patients that were killed and murder in their sleep by the 1000 year old dark dragon, were the ones causing these strange and eerie hauntings of the Legacy hospital." After that he gave us his only answer and we left with our backs chilling and hair standing on end from the chilling answer we got from the owner. A week later, the owner of the Legacy come out with the truth and told the entire city of the Warfang though the newspapers, was that his hospital the Legacy was being haunted by the ghosts of the 265 patients that were killed and brutally murder in their sleep by the 1000 year old dark dragon, with the truth out the citizens of Warfang knew that the Legacy hospital was no longer a safe place to stay anymore."

"After five months of bad and unsuccessful business, the owner of the Legacy hospital had decided to the shut doors of the Legacy for good and abandoned it to time for the next 25 years. Three weeks later after the Legacy was cleared out from top to bottom, the King of Warfang would later declare that the Legacy hospital to be off limits to the citizens of Warfang and that the guards would be placed their if the hospital was ever being trespassed by the citizens or the local gangs around the city. For the next 25 years the Legacy would see no crimes or trespassing from the citizens or the local gangs that hung around the city alley ways, the only problem with the Legacy was the hauntings and the loud noises coming from the abandoned hospital, but nobody could do anything about it. When we asked the owners of the homes that surrounded the local hospital about what had happened to the owner of the Legacy, not many of the home owners knew where he went or why he left. Many home owners claim he went down south to live in one of the southern cities with his family and to spend some time with them, other's say he went west to open up a new hospital in one of the western cities, and others say he stayed in Warfang to live the rest of his life in peace with his family at his side, but we assumed he left because of the Legacy being haunted by the spirits of the 265 patients that were murder in their sleeps, but at this moment we're not sure where he went to, but we hope where ever he that he is living the life with his beloved family by his side."

"For 25 years the Legacy would sit empty and peaceful, even with the hauntings still continuing non-stop and the citizens still complaining about it there was nothing that could be done about it. However as of the recent events, the Legacy is now being well guarded by the guards of the Commander of the Warfang guard, the reason for this unexpected event was due to the Hope hospital being mysterious burnt down. According to the Captain of the Warfang and Royal guards, was that he did not want to see the Legacy of having the same fate as the Hope did, in his exact words to us were this "We all heard what had happen to the Hope hospital of being mysterious burnt down and everybody in Warfang was sadden to hear the terrible news about it. When you hear terrible news like that, you can't help but think, "I wish I was there to stop it from happening or prevent it even." When I first heard that the Hope was burnt down mysterious, that's when I knew that the Legacy or Legend were the next targets. So I did what any Captain would do, I had ordered the Commander of the guard to send half of his best guards to the Legacy and stand on watch all day and night to make the Legacy was well protected or that nobody trespassed or entered it, and so far their doing a great job on protecting it. As for the Legend, that hospital is guarded by the Lieutenant's guards; his guards are some of the best guards I've seen so far, and the Legend's in good paws and claws right now." Right after the Hope was burnt down; many home owners had witnessed three strangers walk right into the Legacy's front doors the night the Hope hospital was burnt down, many of the home owners said the strangers looked to be two young dragons, one female the other male, and the other stranger was tall one, which meant it was a cheetah with them. The weird thing about this was that many of the home owners who witnessed these three young strangers entering the Legacy never came forward or told the Captain or the Lieutenant of the guard any of this, which was strange. Either the home owners were afraid of these three young strangers or just didn't care about it enough and just left it at that. Whatever their reasons were, they were the wrong reasons. With the three young strangers now staying in the Legacy, many of the home owners had two questions. Would the Legacy be burned down to the ground by these strangers or would they stay there and do something even more dangerous to the Legacy. It's unknown on what these three strangers want or what their planning on doing with the Legacy, but one thing is clear. These three young strangers are very dangerous to Warfang and her citizens."

"Whatever or whoever these three unknown strangers are, they will most likely stay at the Legacy for some time or until the Captain or Commander of the guards figure out something on how to remove the three unknown strangers from the Legacy, but by the looks of it, it doesn't seem to be happening any time soon. With these three unknown strangers staying at the Legacy and the home owners becoming worried about it, it's unknown if the Captain or the Commander of the guards are going to do anything about the threat even with the Commander's best guards stationed there and guarded it all day and night now, many home owners have agreed that the Captain and Commander of the guard aren't going to do anything about the three unknown strangers at all or any time soon, but the home owners have said that the Lieutenant of the guard is looking into the strange threat of these three unknown strangers. We asked the Lieutenant about these three strangers that were staying at the Legacy, and in his exact words to were this, "Right now I'm looking into these three strangers that are staying at the Legacy and try to find out why their staying there. I have a theory that they are the ones responsible for the burning of the Hope hospital, but the Commander of the guard dismisses it, while the Captain agrees with me on it and left me in charge of finding who these three strangers. I can't promise the home owners anything of a successful capture of the three strangers, but I'll try my very best to make sure that the home owners are safe and sound." After hearing those hopeful words from the Lieutenant of the guard, many including us and the home owners know for sure that the Lieutenant will capture the three strangers one day, but hopeful soon."

"Whatever is happening at the Legacy to its strange and eerie events, from saving lives from the Great Wars, to becoming a place to one of the bloodiest massacres in history, to strange and eerie hauntings from the 265 patients that were murdered there, and to the three mysterious strangers staying there as well? Many home owners and the Lieutenant of the guard have claimed that the three strangers are none other than Ember, Flame, and Hunter. However many others have dismissed this claim and said, "It's probably just some city gangs staying at the Legacy trying to scare the home owners off, that's probably the real claim to it." Whatever the case is, the Legacy hospital is one of Warfang's creepiest, most haunting, and strangest buildings in the entire city or even the world. The Legacy is definitely the place you want to see and witness with your very own eyes or could be the place you don't want to see or stay. The Legacy is definitely Warfang's greatest and most mysterious hospital in the World."

Article Written by Jerome the water dragon of the Warfang News Press

As the paper in front of Onyx's red eyes disappeared from his sight, he looked down to his left and saw that Ember was still there and along other follower as well, but he noticed that Ember had stopped was looking down both streets and the street a head of herself and homes around her too. Onyx looked more left and noticed that the young dragon spy was hiding behind a shopping stand and was watching Ember's every move and movement. Onyx looked around his surroundings and notice right away he was here at his destination, because the Legacy was on the left of his eye sight and knew right away this was the place where Ember and her gang where hiding at. He also noticed as well that the building he was on was the corner building by the looks of it; he looked across from where he was standing and saw that it would be a long jump from where he was and flying was out of the option too, because he could be caught by Ember or the guards, so the best decision was to wait and watch how Ember got into the Legacy hospital. Onyx looked up to the sky and noticed that the sun had gone down some more, and knew right away his time using the color changing spell was up and over. He looked down at his right paw and saw the red scales turn back into his original dark scale color, and was glad that he was back to being normal again. He brought his right paw down and looked around the roof tops and noticed there were guards everywhere from the roof tops, the hospital roof and ground, the front gates of the Legacy, and even the streets were full of guards, this place was definitely on lock down and from the looks of it the order must have come from the Commander of the guard, which meant the guards were his. Onyx looked down left again and noticed Ember was still there, and from the looks of it with her head turning left and right, she must be thinking on how to get into the Legacy without being spotted by the Warfang guards and the young spy that was watching her from behind. Onyx looked around the roof tops again to make sure that none of them were on to him yet, and by the looks of it they haven't seen him yet.

"These guards have the entire local area on lockdown and they haven't even seen me yet or Ember and the young spy even. The Commander's guards are well trained, but not trained enough."

Onyx looked back down at Ember and noticed something was off with Ember, it seemed like she was disappearing into thin air, but that was not the case. He knew right away that Ember was using the invisibility spell on herself so no one could see her, catch her, or even follow her. As Ember completely disappeared from his view, he looked down at the young dragon spy and saw the young dragon jump from his hiding spot and looking around the area shockingly as to where Ember went off to and was yelling at the top of his lungs as well.

"Where'd she go? She was just here a few moments ago, where the hell did she go off to! Where the hell did she go?" Onyx continued to look at the young dragon until he heard the sound of armoured feet coming from the up, left, and right streets to see who made that yell. Onyx had his eyes half closed and thought silently to himself.

"You fool; spies aren't supposed to jump from their hiding spots until the enemy or target is clear away and gone, not jump out into the open and yell out at the top of your lungs. That's how the enemy or target finds you and kills you, you young dragon spy definitely need more training from your masters, a lot more training."

Onyx looked away from the young dragon to looking at front gates of the old hospital, saw them open by themselves, but he knew who it was no matter how clever Ember was at using spells. He turned his gaze to the Legacy's front doors and waited to see if Ember would open them. After a few seconds the Legacy's doors opened and then closed by themselves after Ember had entered the old hospital. Onyx looked back down at the young dragon spy who was caught by the Commanders guards, and by the looks of it the young dragon spy was not happy about being caught either. So Onyx decided to listen in on the young dragon spies and the guard's conversation.

"Okay young dragon you know the rules. Nobody's supposed to be near the Legacy until the three mysterious strangers are caught and dealt with." One of the guards said calmly to the young dragon.

"You guards saw her right? She was just right here." The young dragon spoke out angrily.

"We saw nothing here young dragon, it must be your wild imagination young dragon." The guard said calmly again to the young dragon.

"I'm not imaging things! She was just here a few minutes ago." The young dragon said more angrily to the guards.

"Yay right kid, and I'm the King of Warfang, there's nobody here but you and us guards." The one guard said calmly to the dragon. The young dragon sighed in defeat and spoke out calmly to the guards.

"I'm guessing I'm to be taken in for questioning or whatever?" One guard nodded his head while the other guard spoke out for him, "Yes I'm sorry, but you have to come with us so the Commander can hear your side of the story." The young dragon looked at the guards with his eyes half closed and frowned a little to himself.

"Well if I'm to be taking in to the Commander for questioning, I might as well show you guards this." The young dragon said unhappily to the guards while bring up his right paw to his neck to reveal a silver neck band around his neck with the Lieutenant's marking and the Spies rank on it which made the guards gasp with shock and surprise. The young dragon brought down his right paw down to the ground and waited for one of the guard's response.

"I'm sorry young spy; I didn't know the Lieutenant would send a spy out and spy on someone like Ember. We're sorry sir." The young dragon spy nodded and spoke out in a calmly and collective tone, "That's fine and better not happen again. Now take me to your Commander so I can give him my full report on what I just saw and witnessed." The guards all nodded and started walking back to their stations, while the other two guards started taking the young spy dragon to see their Commander and give him their report on what happened today. After witnessing the seen for himself, Onyx decided to leave before the guards caught onto him or worse reported him to the Commander of the guard. As he turned his body around, he started to walk away before someone caught him in the open as he thought silently to himself.

"I best be going before someone see's…"

"Hey you, you're not supposed to be up here or anywhere near the Legacy. Those are the rules that were given to everybody around the entire city of Warfang." One of the mole guards said sternly to Onyx.

"Me. So much for sneaking out of the city quietly, oh well time for plan B I guess." Onyx looked left towards the two mole guards that were staring at him and give them his own stern and hard look, which made the mole guard on the right move back slightly in fear while other mole guard didn't even finch one bit.

"I'm sorry for breaking the "so" called rules; I'll be going now if you two don't mind." Onyx said sternly to the two mole guards while starting to walk away. However the two mole guards wouldn't have any of that happen, so they brought up their armed crossbows armed with short steel bolts and pointed their crossbows at their target, Onyx. Onyx looked left again at the two mole guards and noticed they had their crossbows were aimed at him and were fully loaded to fire right at him in case he escaped or ran. He also noticed right away that the arrow tip of the steel bolts had a dark green liquid on them, and that's when Onyx knew that the steel bolts were poisoned.

"Hmm, the Commander's guards sure take the rules way to seriously, almost too much by the looks of it. The poison must be new, because the last time I was here in Warfang was when I was injured in my fight with Darkness Steel's top general at the time; Xenolith the earth dragon and I didn't notice or smell any poison on the guards crossbows at the time. So this poison is definitely new to me, I definitely have to tell Light and the others about this." Onyx thought silently to himself. The mole guard on the left spoke out sternly, but calmly to get Onyx's attention and he did get it.

"You're not going anywhere shadow dragon, seeing how you broke the rules you're coming with us to see the Commander of the guard. He'll decide your fate once we get you there. How's that sound young shadow dragon?" Onyx looked at two mole guards for a few seconds before and decided to give the two mole guards his answer.

"I have no plans on being taken to the Commander or any plans of being caught neither." He repelled calmly to the two mole guards, while they ready their crossbows for action.

"Well that's your choice young shadow dragon. Now die!" The mole guard on the left said sternly to Onyx. With that the two mole guards aimed their crossbows again at Onyx while the mole guard on the left shouted out an all too formally word that Onyx knew very well.

"FIRE!" The two mole guards fired their crossbows and the steel bolts came rushing towards their target, Onyx. Onyx saw the steel bolts getting closer, closer, and ever so closer to him, as the steel bolts almost reached him. Onyx disappeared in seconds and the steel bolts missed their target and had hit the other building on the left side of the street this making the two mole guards shocked and surprised that their target had disappeared from their sight so fast.

"Where the hell did that shadow dragon disappear to?" The mole guard on the right said questioningly. As the two mole guards looked to their sides and forward, they didn't know that the shadow dragon they were looking for was right behind them and was grinning to himself.

"You guards really need to learn about your enemy's powers and skills instead of firing your weapons careless at them." Onyx said hardly to the two mole guards who turned their heads back to look at him while he started bringing up his right paw towards his neck area and brought his right paw back down striking the two mole guards in the back of the heads. As Onyx's right paw was back on the roof top ground, he watched the two mole guards fall forward unconsciously, not dead but unconsciously though. Onyx started searching their bodies for any of that "poison" he saw on their crossbows earlier, he looked for about a minute or two, and couldn't find any of the poison on the two mole guards.

"I can't seem to find the source of the poison on them, not even a veil or a small grass bottle for that matter. The poison I saw earlier on the steel bolts of the mole guard's crossbows must have come from the armoury. That Commander, I must give him credit for arming his guards with poison that can kill their enemy's slowly and painful, hmm, I and the others are definitely going to be watching this." He said silently to himself. Onyx looked around his surroundings one last time to make sure that the guards hadn't found or caught him yet, and by the looks of it the coast was clear for him to leave.

"I might as well leave before I'm caught and that's the last thing I need on my shoulders, more guards chasing me with poisoned crossbows. Enough talking, more leaving" He said to himself calmly. As he started to leave, he heard a calm and collective voice in his head making him stop.

"Onyx stop, I need to talk to you for a quite second." Onyx knew that voice right away, it was Lightning's voice.

"Lightning, this is kind of a bad time right now. Can't we talk later or something?" Onyx said calmly to Lightning in his mind.

"No you can't leave just yet. I need to ask a small favor of you before you leave the city, Onyx." Lightning asked him though his mind to Onyx's.

"What sort of "favor" Lightning, because I don't have time to talk to you not with all the guards around here." Onyx said quickly in his mind to Lightning.

"I know you're at the Legacy already and have found that Ember and her gang are hiding there. So I'll make this short and sweet for you." Lightning said normally.

"Aww, how sweet of you Lightning. So what kind of favor did you need of me?" Onyx asked Lightning softly in his mind.

"I need you to go after Scarlett; she's in Warfang just like you are right now." Lightning said calmly to Onyx though his mind.

"I thought she was going to your place in the mountains. What the hell is she doing here in Warfang then Lightning?" Onyx asked Lightning hardly, but calmly in his mind.

"I'm not sure Onyx, but if I didn't know any better I'd she's looking for something in Warfang. I need you to bring her back to the Light's castle, can you do that or not, Onyx?" Lightning asked in a hard tone of voice though Onyx's mind. Onyx frowned for a moment or two, and decided to give Lightning his answer.

"I'll do my best Lightning, but I can't promise you anything though. Now tell me where she is and make it quick."

"She's at the Hope hospital or what's left of it any way after Ember burned it down to the ground. That's where you'll find her, you better do it fast Onyx because somebody else is on "his" way there as well." Lightning said calmly to Onyx though his mind to Onyx's.

"When you mean by "his", you mean the Lieutenant of the guard don't you Lightning?" Onyx asked Lightning questioningly in his mind.

"Judging from his presence and powers, it's most definitely him. Remember Onyx I can't read minds, only Scarlett can, but it's time I left before you get caught by the Warfang guards." Lightning said normally to Onyx though his mind.

"Thanks for the information Lightning; I'll go and get Scarlett back for you." Onyx said softly in his mind to Lightning.

"I know you will Onyx, good luck. Later." Lightning said calmly, but happily to Onyx in his mind. With that, Onyx started walking away towards his next mission, to go find Scarlett and find out what she was doing in Warfang.

"Scarlett, what are doing here in Warfang I wonder, what is it you're looking for any way that's so important to risk your life for. Whatever you're looking for I will get answers from you." Onyx said quietly to himself.

As Onyx jumped the next building roof top towards his destination, he wondered if he would meet this dragon Lieutenant of the guard or not, but if he did he better ready for a fight when he comes to find Scarlett first and if he didn't meet this dragon Lieutenant, then no blood will be spilled or any fighting happening, which made Onyx smile with his answers. As Onyx again jumped the next building roof top, he disappeared into the light of day to find Scarlett the dragoness.

Scarlett's Part

Location: Warfang Hope Hospital

As a group of dragon guards walked past the dark alley way on towards their destination, a young dragoness emerged from the shadows and looked both ways down the streets to make sure no more guards were coming, she looked both ways one more time to see if any more guards were coming, and by the looks of it they weren't.

"Well, the coast is clear for now any way, time to…Shit more guards coming from ahead of me, time to hide." With that Scarlett ran back into the dark alley way she was just hiding in a few minutes ago and decided to wait in the shadows until the guards went away or went back the way the way they come from, which would be highly unlikely. As the two moles guards came upon the cross roads, they both turned right until one stopped and looked into the dark alley way to see if anybody was there, for a minute or two the mole guard thought he saw something moving in the darkness of the alley way. He was about to walk into the alley way until the other mole guard next to him spoke to get his attention making him stop for sudden moment.

"Hey, we don't have time to be searching alley ways. We have to get to our posts before he comes here, okay." The nodded his head and looked down the dark alley way, and spoke to the mole guard behind him.

"I know that, but I swear saw something down this alley way." He said calmly to the other mole guard.

"There's nothing down these alleys, you know that. Anybody caught near the Hope and Legacy hospitals are to be taken to prison and released the next day. Now let's get going before we get into more trouble like last time." The mole guard said sternly behind him.

"Oh okay, let's go then." He said softly to the mole guard behind him. With that the two mole guards left on their way while Scarlett emerged from the shadows of the dark alley way and looked at the two mole guards that just had left.

"The Lieutenant's guards are getting better and better, I've got to hand it to the Lieutenant for training his guards very well, but they are going to need more then training before they can catch up to me. Enough talking from me, it's time to get what I came here for now." Scarlett said to herself softly. Scarlett turned right and walked towards the place she needed to get too. After walking about five blocks she came upon the place she wanted to be, the Hope hospital or what was left of it any way. She looked around the streets and building roof tops and couldn't find a single mole or dragon guard around which meant something was up and she did not like it one bit.

"I do not like this, I thought the Hope hospital was supposed to be on lock down just like the Legacy, something is definitely up. I'm just going to have to make this short and sweet then."

Scarlett walked onto the ashes and burnt wood of what was left of the Hope hospital, as she walked across the area looking everywhere to see if she could find anything that was strange or that Ember had left something behind here after she burned down the Hope hospital. She continued looking around the area and couldn't find anything she wanted, that was until she came upon what appeared to be a short sword of some kind. As she picked up the short sword with her dark red scaled right paw and she started to examine it as she turned the short sword side to side.

"Hmm, a short sword not of Warfang military or Northern Light City even. The blade almost looks like it was made by a cheetah tribe smith, but the closet cheetah tribe near Warfang is Chief Prowlus's tribe and judging from markings on the blade's halt this is definitely from Chief Prowlus's tribe. At least I found something of Ember's group here, but it's not what I'm looking for though."

Scarlett threw the short blade to her right and shook her dark red scaled head side to side in frustration, because she couldn't find what she was looking for here. However something caught her attention right away, she looked down and found what caught her attention. Something was shining under the ash and Scarlett brought her dark red scaled right paw down, and started to dig out the shining thing and see what it was. After digging for two minutes, she picked up the shining thing in her right paw and brought it closer to her head to see it up close and examine it. As she examined it in her right paw and turning it side to side, she knew what it was, it was a crystal in a light grey coloring and was the size of her paw.

"What in the hell is a crystal doing here at the Hope hospital, and why is it here for any way. I've only seen this type of crystal when I was Malefor's top General at the time, but I thought he had these destroyed after giving the orders to Gaul to do it." Scarlett turned the crystal in her paw side to side and examined it more closely this time, after two minutes of looking at it and examine it with her own two light crimson eyes, she knew right away what type of crystal this was and what it was used for.

"There's no mistaking it. This crystal was supposed to be destroyed along with all the other ones. This crystal in my right paw is none other than…"

"You there young dragoness, what do you think you are doing here. This place is off limits you should know better than to break the rules." The voice said in a deep tone of voice behind Scarlett, which caused her to look over her right shoulder and to see who said that to her, but what she didn't expect though was to see the Lieutenant of the guard standing behind her, which surprised her to see him here of all places.

"Hmm, so he's the one who said that to me. I must say I wasn't expecting to see the Lieutenant of the guard here. This day just keeps getting better and better doesn't it?" Scarlett noticed four mole guards walking up to the Lieutenants right side and stopped there, after that they lowered their spears and pointed them at her in case she decides to attack them or run off and escape. She studied them for a few minutes before she turned around to face her opponents head on.

"The mole guards probably see me as a threat to them and their Lieutenant, so killing them is out of the question, but maybe if I knock the four mole guards out I just might have a chance of escaping, but then after that I have to deal with "big" boy over here." Scarlett looked at the Lieutenant of the guard and started studying him for a few minutes or so.

"I've only heard a few stories of the Lieutenant's skill in battle, according to the rumours I've heard he's able to quickly disable his opponent's weapons and defeat them, but when he faces off against dragons he quickly aims for their weak points and tries them out by dodging their attacks until they run out of energy, then he goes in for the finishing blow. Even though these are just rumours and stories, and I have yet to see this Lieutenant in action myself. Going up against him could prove challenging for me." Scarlett continued to stare at the Lieutenant for a few minutes until he spoke in a deep tone of voice to her.

"As I said before young dragoness, what do you think you are doing here? This place and the Legacy are off limits to the citizens of Warfang and outsiders. So tell me what you are doing here right now." Scarlett gave the Lieutenant a huff and was not happy with his tone of voice.

"Young, look who's talking Lieutenant you're the same damn age as I am, just remember that Lieutenant. Also I know the rules, but I have no plans on following them seeing how I'm not a citizen of Warfang nor am I an outsider, I'm more along the lines of a visitor." Scarlett said sternly to the Lieutenant of the guard, which made the Lieutenant frown.

"You may be right on the same age part, but breaking the rules is something I can't allow you to do." The Lieutenant said in a hard tone of voice to Scarlett, which made her smile a little bit.

"Is that so Lieutenant, well that's just too bad because I ready came here for what I got from this place." Scarlett said calmly to the Lieutenant, which caught him off guard by her words.

"There's nothing here but ash and forgotten memories, even you know that young dragoness." The Lieutenant said sternly.

"If that's really the answer I'm going to get from you, then how is it that I came across this then, Lieutenant?" Scarlett said calmly to the Lieutenant while bringing up the crystal she had in her right paw up to the Lieutenant's eye level so he could see it. The Lieutenant studied the crystal in the dragoness right paw for a few seconds and gave the dragoness his answer.

"Where did you find this crystal, our search team couldn't find anything here due to the ash being everywhere." Scarlett gave a smirk to the Lieutenant for a quick second or two, but dropped it after that with calmly look on her face.

"Then obviously they didn't try looking hard enough like I did. I found this little baby behind me along with a short sword, which is over there on my left. The short swords yours if you want it, but I'm taking the crystal with me to research it, seems fair to me don't you think Lieutenant?" Scarlett said calmly to the young dragon Lieutenant who frowned just a little. The four mole guards though however weren't about to let this young dragoness go without putting up a fight if needed to be until one of them spoke out to the young dragoness before they did something stupid, like getting killed.

"You are not taking that crystal from us! It rightful belongs to…" Before the mole guard could say any more words to the young dragoness, the Lieutenant raised his paw in the air to silence him, which made the three mole guards surprised and shocked that he would stop of his own guards from talking, usually the Lieutenant would let them speak out of line to their opponents once in a while, but this time it was different.

"But sir…" The one mole guard tried to say to the Lieutenant, but the young dragon Lieutenant wasn't having any of it because he had his right paw still raised in the air for a few seconds before bringing his right paw down to the ground and then spoke out to his guards.

"Let her have it, we'll take the short sword to our research team for them to study it more closely. It's better than having nothing." But the mole guards didn't like this one bit at all, until the same mole guard spoke out again, but this time in anger.

"You can't be serious Lieutenant! You're just going to her walk out of the city and take that crystal with her? No, we guards joined because we wanted this city safe from scrum like her, just let us take her out and be done with it. Just give us the order sir, and then we'll obey…" Before the mole guard could say any more words to the Lieutenant, the young dragon Lieutenant punched the mole guard square in the face with his right paw and the mole guard was sent flying across the ground until he hit the wall of the building that was next to them on the same street. The three mole guards who were holding their spears at Scarlett gasped in shock at what had happened to their friend, but decided not to move until the Lieutenant had calmed down somewhat. The Lieutenant looked across the mole he had punched and frowned a little to himself, but he had to do it otherwise the mole guard would have the crossed the line with him, and that was something he didn't teach his guards about.

"No, you mole's joined the guard to protect those who you love and care about, not to throw your lives away meaninglessly and pointlessly. I'm stopping you guys from doing something stupid and foolishly like attacking this dragoness here. You guys don't who she is or what her attacks are like I do." The Lieutenant said calmly, but with a hint of anger in it to his guards.

"Who cares who she is Lieutenant!" The mole guard in the middle said angrily to the young Lieutenant.

"I care, because obviously you guards don't. I'll tell you who she is right now?" The Lieutenant said in a hard tone of voice to the mole guard in the middle, while he faced his opponent directly.

"She is none other than The Dark Master's top General, Scarlett the dragoness aka "The Twisting Mind Control of Madness". Aren't I right, Scarlett?" The young Lieutenant said calmly to Scarlett who just smiled and grinned none the less making the mole guards gasp with shock.

"It's been a while since I've been called by my full title, but you are wrong about me being The Dark Master's top General. I'm no longer working for that asshole; the ones who have that job now are General Cynder and the Ape King Gaul. I'm just back to my original self now, thanks to my older brother of course." Scarlett said calmly to the young dragon Lieutenant, who had surprised look on his face.

"When did this happen you disappeared like five years ago and everybody else expected you to be still hiding under the Dark Master's darkness during that time, so what happened then?" The Lieutenant asked Scarlett calmly.

"I'll give you the short story instead of the long one." Scarlett said softly to the young dragon Lieutenant who just nodded his head while the mole guards still held their spears at her in case she attacked them.

"I was defeated and purified in my fight with Lightmare, because I was ordered to kill him back then, but I failed in my mission to do it, but it was also because of him that I got a second chance at life again, and after that I started saving lives instead of taking them away like I did when I was under the Dark Master's rule, it seemed fair at the time when I saved lives, but others still saw me as the Dark Master's puppet, nothing more, and nothing less. That's my story, Lieutenant any more questions you want of me?" Scarlett said calmly to the dragon Lieutenant.

"I'm sorry to hear that, Scarlett. Even though you're back to your original self now, I still can't allow you to leave the city no matter what." The Lieutenant said sadden to Scarlett, who just looked down for a bit before bringing up her dark red scaled head to look at the Lieutenant in the eyes.

"I know, you're only following orders from the Captain of the guard, but I have to leave with this crystal too no matter what." Scarlett said softly to the dragon Lieutenant. After she said that, three mole guards decided to charge forward and attack Scarlett directly which caught the Lieutenant off guard as he saw his guards charge forward recklessly.

"You fools." The Lieutenant thought to himself as he watched his guards charge towards Scarlett. Scarlett saw the three mole guards charge forwards to attack her, with this she brought up her right paw and pointed her sharp snow white claws at the three mole guards and small skinner like blades started to appear from them and were started to lengthen in reach. Before long the small skinner like sword blades started to form into a larger blade on her snow white claws and was finally finished forming. As the three mole guards came even closer to her, Scarlett brought up her right paw under her neck and waited until the mole guards spears came in striking distance of her crimson blade. As the mole spears came within striking distance, she swung her crimson blade down to her right and sliced the moles spears in half making the three mole guards shocked at what had happened to their spears. The dragon Lieutenant was studying Scarlett from the moment she formed that crimson blade of hers with her claws, and was wondering why she didn't kill his guards first, but instead destroyed their spears.

"That's strange, usually my opponents aim to kill my guards in one hit, but Scarlett sliced though my guard's spears like it were nothing. So why didn't she kill them." The Lieutenant thought about this for a few seconds, but then he remembered what Scarlett had told him of her life's past to him like five minutes ago.

"After that I started saving lives instead of taking them away like I did when I was under the Dark Master's rule." That's when the Lieutenant knew that Scarlett was telling the truth to him along, but he had to make sure his guards were safe first. As he looked towards his guards and Scarlett, he saw his three guards were heisting on bringing out their crossbows to attack Scarlett seeing how she destroyed their spears in 1 second flat, but for Scarlett she had her dark red muzzle open and a red ball of light was forming in her mouth and was starting to become the size of three watermelons being put together into one large red ball of power. When the three mole guards saw this happening they quickly drew their crossbows from their backs and were about to fire them at Scarlett, but it was too late Scarlett was quicker and had fired her red ball of power at the three mole guards, and they were sent to the ground on their knees with their paws holding their heads from the attack that Scarlett had fired at them. Scarlett walked past the three mole guards as they fell into the ground of ash unconsciously while holding their heads in pain. As Scarlett came face to face with the young dragon Lieutenant, she was wondering if he would attack her after she did to his guards a few minutes ago, but instead she got the exact opposite from him which surprised her a little bit.

""What did you do to my guards if I may ask?" He asked her deeply.

"I read their minds before they even pointed their spears at me and took their deepest and worst fears, and turned it into a living nightmare with my Fear power that I fired at them with. Don't worry they won't die from it, just let them sleep for a few days, and they'll be back up and ready before you know it." She said calmly to the Lieutenant of the guard.

"So, why didn't you read my mind like you did theirs then?" The dragon Lieutenant asked Scarlett questioningly, while she gave him half a smile.

"Because I choose not to Lieutenant, it just didn't feel right to read yours without your permission." Scarlett said softly, but calmly to the dragon Lieutenant which he was surprised by her words.

"I see, thanks for that Scarlett. You know, you're so not bad to talk either." The Lieutenant said softly to Scarlett who smiled to herself.

"I know, but can you keep a secret between us then Lieutenant?" She whispered to the Lieutenant.

"Umm sure, I can keep secrets." The dragon Lieutenant said surprising while blushing like a red rose. Scarlett leaned her dark red scaled head into the Lieutenant's left side of his head and spoke softly so only he could hear what she had to say to him.

"I've had a crush on you for the last few years now, not even my family and friends know about it neither." After she said that to the Lieutenant, she backed up a little bit so she could see what face the Lieutenant would make and boy did he ever make a face? The dragon Lieutenants eyes were opened wide from the words she whispered into his ear, he was also smiling just a little bit, and judging from the large blush on his cheeks he was definitely liking this attention he got from her. However that all ended when he shook his head side to side and looked back at her with his normal, but calm look which made Scarlett sad a bit until the Lieutenant spoke out to her, making her look back up at the Lieutenant in the eyes this time.

"You're lying, aren't you Scarlett?"

"If I was lying to you I would of have ran right about now wouldn't I Lieutenant." Scarlett said softly to the young dragon Lieutenant. The Lieutenant closed his eyes for a quick second and reopened them to look square into Scarlett's light crimson eyes and smiled.

"Yes, you're probably right about that Scarlett, sorry." He said softly to her while he walked past her to see if his guards were alright, but for Scarlett she was kind of sad that he didn't nuzzle her or even kissed her, but you can't always get what you want though like in the fairy tales or books. Scarlett looked over her left shoulder and watched as the dragon Lieutenant checked his guards to make sure they were alive and well.

"He's no different than the others, always to focused on the other things in life." She thought to herself, with that she turned her dark red scaled head forward and started to walk away. However the Lieutenant saw this and took a few steps forward, and spoke out to her to make her stop, which she did by turning around to face the dragon Lieutenant again.

"Where are you going Scarlett, if you don't mind me asking?"

"Home, I got what I wanted from here and there's no point of me staying here either! Seeing how you're bloodily Commander is trying to catch and kill me for a crime that I didn't do!" She said angrily, but calmly to the young dragon Lieutenant, who was surprised by her tone of voice towards him, turning his smile into a frown now thanks to her change of voice.

"What the hell did I do to piss you off all of a sudden?" He asked Scarlett calmly.

"You want to know why I'm pissed off Lieutenant, fine then I'll tell you why! I was hoping you'd nuzzle me, hug me, or even kiss me after I told you I had a crush on you. Seeing how you knew my entire past life." She said angrily to the dragon Lieutenant, who was even more surprised that she wanted him to kiss her, nuzzle her, and even hug her. Yes, he did admit that Scarlett was good looking and all, but he didn't want a relationship right now not with the way things were going with Ember and her gang are hiding somewhere within the city doing gods no what, and keeping the Dark Master's forces away from the city and the citizens safe from danger. He just didn't want a relationship right now, besides if he was in a relationship with Scarlett, how was he supposed to protect her and the citizens safe at the same time, he couldn't be at two places at once. He knew deep down in his heart that he had to protect the citizens first and girlfriend last, he knew what he was thinking was wrong but he knew it was the right decision to make. That's why he didn't want a relationship right now, not with the way things were going in the world today.

"Look Scarlett, I'm flattered that you think of me like that, but I just can't give you what you're looking for, I'm sorry Scarlett." He said sadly to Scarlett. After Scarlett heard those words from him, her world and heart broke into two.

"You're no goddamn different from the Captain and Commander of the guard, always putting duty and obeying orders above all others. You're just like them, makes me sick!" Scarlett said angrily, but with hurt in her voice. The Lieutenant however didn't like how she compared him to those "two".

"Look I'm sorry if I can't give you what you want Scarlett! The truth is I joined the guard so I could save lives and protect them from harm and danger." He said angrily to Scarlett.

"No Lieutenant, you joined the guard so you could follow orders just like a puppet on the string. Every time the Captain or Commander of the guard pulls the string, you'd do their bidding by following their orders." She said angrily to the Lieutenant of the guard. As two continued yelling at each other, they didn't noticed a certain shadow dragon watching them from above and was listening to everything they were saying to each other. This shadow dragon was none other than Onyx the dragon. He looked ahead from the yelling couple and saw three mole guards holding their paws to their heads and by the looks it they were unconscious. That was Scarlett's doing alright, seeing how she could turn people's fear into a living nightmare and hell.

"Scarlett must have read the mole guards minds and fears, before they recklessly attacked her. Judging from the way the mole guards are holding their heads with their paws, Scarlett must have used her Fear power to do this. Seeing how Scarlett can take people's worst fears of anything and turn them into a living nightmare or hell on earth, Scarlett your definitely one wicked dragoness that's for sure." Onyx thought to himself as he looked down to his right and he found the other mole guard unconscious laying on the ground this time, but this mole guard was none of Scarlett's doing, more like the Lieutenant's doing.

"Judging from the looks of that mole guard's face, with the large red mark on it he must have pissed off the Lieutenant. I'm quite surprised the Lieutenant would do that to one of his own guards, obviously the mole guard couldn't quite keep his mouth shut instead got a dragon fist in the face." Onyx again thought to himself as he watched Scarlett and the dragon Lieutenant continue to yell at each other, and decided to end this little fight between them before somebody got hurt or Scarlett got caught or captured.

"Why is it that I always have to break up these fights, but I promised Lightning I'd get her out of the city before I left, time to meet the Lieutenant of the guard face to face and see what he's like in person." Onyx thought to himself as he disappeared into thin air.

"Look Scarlett…" The Lieutenant tried to say softly to Scarlett, but she held up her right paw and silenced him from talking any more.

"Just stop Lieutenant, you done enough damge to me already. I don't need any more of it." Scarlett said calmly to the young Lieutenant, who lowered his head down in shame. Unknown to the two dragons, Onyx walked in silently on Scarlett's left side and stopped there, and then he spoke out calmly to the both of them.

"You know, you two fight like an old married couple I hope you two know that." As the two dragons heard the voice, they both looked up at the shadow dragon and they were in for a shocking surprise. It was Onyx who said the words to them, not them, or anyone else it was just him who said the words to them, this making both Scarlett and the Lieutenant of the guard surprised that he was here listening to them and shocked that he wasn't caught by the guards or anyone else for that matter.

"Onyx, what are you doing here? I thought you were supposed to be spying on Ember right now?" Scarlett asked him shockingly while the Lieutenant continued looking at Onyx and Scarlett.

"That job's done already. What I like to know is what you're doing here in the city? How come you didn't go to Lightning's like you said you would?" Onyx asked her in a hard tone of voice.

"I'm guessing Lightning told you where I was, huh Onyx." Scarlett said calmly to the shadow dragon while looking at him.

"Yes he did. Now answer the question Scarlett?" He asked her calmly.

"Fine, when I was on my way to Lightning's when I just had this feeling that told me there was something strange about the way that Chief Prowlus died when the Hope hospital burnt down with him. So, I changed my destination to Warfang and decided to investigate what really happened to Chief Prowlus. As I arrived here at the Hope hospital or what's left of it anyway, I started searching for anything that might have belonged to Chief Prowlus, but the only thing I found of his was his short sword and this crystal. But I can't see Chief Prowlus carrying these would you Onyx?" Scarlett said softly to Onyx and the Lieutenant of the guard, while bringing up her dark red scaled paw with the light grey crystal to Onyx's eye level so he could see it with his own blood red eyes. Onyx looked at the light grey crystal in Scarlett's right paw and studied it for a few moments before he knew what the crystal was and what it was used for. With that Scarlett lowered her right paw back to the ground and waited for Onyx's answer.

"Is that crystal what I think it is, Scarlett?" Onyx asked her softly.

"It is Onyx, I didn't want to think of at first, but it's definitely that type of crystal. Light's not going to be very happy when he hears about this, even you would agree with me Onyx." Scarlett said hardly to him while the Lieutenant was listening in on them.

"So, what do we do with "Lieutenant Boy" here then, Scarlett?" Onyx asked her questioningly, which Scarlett was thinking sadly to herself while the Lieutenant was frowning because of Onyx calling him, "Lieutenant Boy".

"Who are calling "boy", Onyx!" The dragon Lieutenant said angrily to Onyx, while Onyx looked at him for the first time.

"So you must be the Lieutenant of the guard that I keep hearing about, nice to finally meet you in person." Onyx said to him sternly.

"Like wise Onyx. I'm surprised to see you here, seeing how you're a wanted criminal here." The Lieutenant said hardly to Onyx, which made Onyx laugh a little bit.

"I'm guessing the Commander of the guard told you everything then, I shouldn't be surprised though seeing how he wants me, Light, and Scarlett dead. Did you know that the Commander wants Scarlett here dead, Lieutenant?" Onyx said coldly to the Lieutenant of the guard, which made the dragon Lieutenant shocked and surprised by Onyx's words, with that he looked at Scarlett and decided to ask her if it was true or not.

"Is this true Scarlett? Is what Onyx saying true or not?" Scarlett turned her dark red scaled head and looked sadly at the young dragon Lieutenant.

"Yes, what Onyx is saying is true. The funny thing is though I was framed for the murder on the same day that I was defeated and purified by Lightmare. So how could I be in the city when I was sent trying to kill and destroy Lightmare at the time? When I first heard about this I was quite shocked that I would be the one blamed for the murder when I wasn't even in the city." Scarlett said sadly to the Lieutenant and Onyx.

"I'm guessing Ember did this then right Onyx?" The Lieutenant asked Onyx calmly.

"You catch on quickly Lieutenant, but yes it was Ember's doing. You see Ember murdered a family of dragons living in the city at the time and placed the entire blame on Scarlett who was battling Lightmare at the time. After that the Commander of the guard placed a bounty on Scarlett's head to be killed or caught and sent to prison for life for a crime that Scarlett didn't even do." Onyx said calmly to the dragon Lieutenant who just looked at Scarlett with sad eyes.

"Look Scarlett I'm sorry for I what said back there. If you're willingly I wouldn't mind being just you're…" The Lieutenant tried to say Scarlett, but she held up her dark red scaled right paw to silence him from any more talking. Scarlett looked at dragon Lieutenant with sad and hurtful light crimson eyes, and spoke sadly to him.

"As I said before Lieutenant, you've done enough damge to me already. You crushed my hopes and dreams of ever having a relationship with you, and I just can't be your friend like you want. How can I be friend to you, when you work for somebody who wants me dead, Lieutenant? I just can't be your friend, I just can't." After hearing her words of sadness and pain, the Lieutenant looked down in shame and hurt knowing she can't be his friend due to working under the Commander of the guard, but he looked back up at Scarlett and spoke out calmly and softly.

"I'm sorry alright."

"Goddamn it, quit telling me you're so sorry already! I've had enough of it!" Scarlett said angrily and hurtful with tears running down her face to the dragon Lieutenant, making both the Lieutenant and Onyx surprised by her angry and hurtful words, but Onyx was even more surprised that Scarlett was crying.

"I never seen her cry before, usually she's so quiet and calm, but never have I seen her cry before. Her feelings for the Lieutenant must be very strong if she's crying like this. Lieutenant, what the hell did you say to her that caused her this much pain?" Onyx thought to himself while looking at Scarlett with his eyes half closed, while the Lieutenant had his head down in shame and looked away from Scarlett's hurtful and painful light crimson eyes.

"Let's just go home Onyx, I don't want to be here anymore." She said hurtful to Onyx while turning around and walking away with more tears running down her face.

"Alright Scarlett, just give me a second will you?" Onyx asked her softly.

"Alright, I'll be right here, but I'm not turning around to face him though. Make it quick, Onyx." She said sadly to Onyx while she continued to cry.

"Alright I will." Onyx said softly to Scarlett, with that he walked towards the Lieutenant and stopped one foot away from the dragon Lieutenant who looked up at him and waited for his answer.

"Scarlett's a very unique dragoness, Lieutenant if not the most unique dragoness you'll ever meet in life. It's just a shame you'll never see her again after what you said to her today." Onyx said sharply to the dragon Lieutenant.

"I just can't have a relationship right now Onyx! Not with the way things are going now these days." He said calmly to Onyx.

"You do realize that the citizens of Warfang can protect themselves too you know, Lieutenant. They're not always going to need the guards help 24/7, I hope you realize that Lieutenant." Onyx said calmly to the Lieutenant.

"I know Onyx, I know." The dragon Lieutenant said softly to Onyx. With that Onyx turned around and started to walk towards Scarlett before stopping and looking over his right shoulder at the Lieutenant of the guard who also looked back at him.

"It was nice meeting you Lieutenant. Also Lieutenant, I hope when you're in a relationship with the dragoness you love and she breaks your heart into two like you did with Scarlett's today, I hope it hurts like hell. Goodbye, Lieutenant of the guard." Onyx said sternly to the young dragon Lieutenant who had his head down in shame and hurt after hearing Onyx's words.

After that Onyx turned his head forward and started walking towards Scarlett. As he reached her, she started walking with Onyx towards home, but she couldn't stop crying no matter how hard she tried to stop and then she thought to herself.

"What can't I ever get the nice things in life like those other dragonesses do; they get the chance of having boyfriends, lovers, and mates, while I sit alone in the darkness without one. Yes I may have my family with me to heal those pains, but I want what those dragonesses have, but I'll never get that chance in life. Not when you have dragons like the Lieutenant of the guard who crush your dreams into millions of pieces, and also doesn't want a relationship with you just because "I can't give you what you're looking for, I'm sorry." Maybe I'm just cursed of being alone for the rest of my life; I'll deal with it then. I'm never falling in love again, not when you have dragons like "him" that break your heart in two. If the Commander of the guard orders the Lieutenant to kill me, then I'll show him no mercy the next time we meet." As more tears ran down her face onto the cold hard ground, she and Onyx had disappeared into the light of day; the Lieutenant looked up towards where Onyx and Scarlett had been hoping to say goodbye to Scarlett, but as he looked more closely he couldn't find them anywhere as if they disappeared into thin air.

With a heavy sigh, knowing that he'll never see Scarlett again hurt like hell, but he was guard he had to get over the pain no matter what, but still it hurt. He looked towards his guards knowing that their still alive was good, but he would have to report what had happened here today and all honestly he didn't want to, but he had to it was part of the rules when you join the guard. He could still hear the words that Onyx and Scarlett said to him today too.

"Scarlett's a very unique dragoness Lieutenant, if not the most unique dragoness you'll ever meet in life. It's just a shame you'll never see her again after what you said to her today."

"How can I be a friend to you, when you work for somebody who wants me dead, Lieutenant?"

The dragon Lieutenant looked up into the blue sky, hoped for dear life that the Commander didn't give him orders to kill Scarlett, because deep down in his heart he knew couldn't follow that order no matter what, but he also knew he couldn't defile orders either. As the Captain of the guard said to him that day when he was appointed Lieutenant of the guard, "Orders are orders". But now he was starting to question these "orders" expectation the ones made by the Commander of the guard. When he joined the guard and meet the Commander of the guard in person there was something that felt off with Commander, but he could never quite put his claw to it until now when Onyx told him of the orders that the Commander gave to his guards to hunter down and kill Scarlett for a crime she didn't even do, and he believed her story. Now knowing that the Commander enjoys giving orders out, the Lieutenant decided maybe it wasn't right to join the guards in the first place, if he did quit the guards he wouldn't have to kill Scarlett and maybe he could join the Spy group and become their leader in the near future, it was worth a shot that's for sure. As he looked into the blue sky some more, and he thought himself about his plan.

"If I join the Spies, I don't have to kill Scarlett. I'll just be doing some spy stuff and missions, it may not be the great life I wanted but I can work with it. I also to want see Scarlett again, maybe I should have given her that kiss or hug today, but no I didn't do it and broke her heart into two instead. Scarlett when I see you again I can only hope you can forgive me for what I did to you, and if I do see you. I'll take you on a date with me somewhere special just the two of us that I promise Scarlett."
