A/N: Merry Christmas! This is the first Christmas after Sonny injury
Lisa was bent over picking a present up from under the tree when she felt something land on her butt. "Sonny." Squeals, turning and looking around. "Did you really just throw balled up wrapping paper at me?"
"Awe, come on now Davis." Sonny laughs as he crumples up another sheet of wrapping paper.
"Don't you dare Quinn." Lisa says pointing at him. "Sonny Quinn." Lisa yells as she dodges the wrapping paper flying her way.
"It's all in good fun baby." He laughs.
"You did this to yourself." She smirks as she picks up the two balls of wrapping paper he had thrown at her.
"Damn it, Davis." He chuckles when she nails him in the eye
"I told you, you did this to yourself." She takes a step closer to him tossing the second ball of wrapping paper between her hands.
Sonny jumps us and wraps her arms around her waist. "Ya did tell me that."
"So, you can't be mad at me." Lisa counters.
"I ain't mad baby." Sonny's hands travel down her back and land on her butt, pulling her tight against him. "How could I be mad when ya look so damn cute, laughin bout hittin me in the head?"
"Oh, you think I look cute?" Lisa asks.
"Absolutely." Sonny smiles. "I always think you look beautiful, but when you guard is down and you're just laughin and truly happy." Sonny lets out a loud whistle. "That's when you're the most beautiful."
Lisa feels herself blush. "Aw Sonny." She leans up and kisses him. "No one else can make me smile the way you do."
Sonny kisses her forehead. "I take pride in that."
"You should. I can be very hard to crack sometimes." Lisa smirks.
"I noticed." Sonny chuckles.
"Should I open this last present?" Lisa asks.
"Ya should." Sonny lets go of her and sits back on the sofa.
"This feels like a book." She looks at him as she walks back to the couch. "Did you get me a book Quinn?"
"You'll have to open it and see." Sonny tells her.
She sits down next to him and rips the gift wrap off. "It is a book." She turns it over and sees the cover. "A photo album?"
"Very good lieutenant Davis." Sonny chuckles.
"Don't be an asshole, Sonny." Lisa tells him. "So, what inspired this photo album?"
"All this time I have been spendin at home." Sonny sighs. "It has just got me thinkin bout a lot of stuff. I started going through some old pictures, and I don't know, I thought this would be cool."
"I like it." Lisa says cuddling into his side. "It's a little walk down memory lane."
"Ya don't think it's stupid?" Sonny asks.
"No Sonny." Lisa gives him a quick kiss on the cheek. "I love that you did this."
"Good." Sonny smiles.
"Let's see what embarrassing pictures you managed to scrounge up." Lisa opens the cover and is greeted by a selfie of them together on their first Christmas after meeting. "Oh my god, look how young we were. And that sad little Christmas tree I forced you to buy because your apartment was so depressing."
"I'll have ya know that I still had that tree when I cleaned out apartment when we bought this place." Sonny chuckles.
"Smart move." Lisa grins as she turns the page. "Was this my first deployment with Bravo?"
"It was." Sonny nods. "We had a lot of fun that cycle."
"Yeah, it was great, minus you getting shot." Lisa says not sounding so happy.
"Oh... that. But I was okay." Sonny tells her. "Just like I'm okay now."
"I don't like watching you get hurt." Lisa tells him.
"I actually feel relieved by that." Sonny chuckles.
"You're stupid." Lisa mumbles as she looks over the next image. "The first rodeo you took me too."
"I remember the look of pure amazement that was plastered on your face the entire night." Sonny smiles.
"But you weren't in love with my back then?" Lisa giggles.
"The whole time I was choosing the pictures to put in this I kept thinkin that. Like how did we go so long believin we were just friend?" Sonny says staring at the picture in front of him.
"It really is crazy when you stop and think about it." Lisa smiles. "That was a fun night, I didn't have a single clue any of that stuff existed."
"I could tell." Sonny chuckles.
"Shut up Sonny." Lisa laughs and turns the page. "Aww. Our engagement." Lisa smiles looking at the two pages in front of her. "That was such a magical night."
"Ya looked so beautiful." Sonny kisses the top of her head. "And if I'm not mistaken, ya were truly surprised."
"I was. You proposing wasn't on my radar at all." Lisa looks up at him. "Then there was this beautiful beach dinner in front of me, but I still thought you were just being romantic."
"Then boom, a ring." Sonny smirks.
"And you on one knee. I loved that night." Lisa smiled. "I loved that whole trip. It was so freeing to just be a normal couple."
"It was." Sonny nods his head in agreement.
"This is fun Sonny, getting to look back at all of our good times."
He lightly runs his fingertips over her shoulder and upper arm. "I'm glad ya like it."
"Next memory." Lisa turns the page, and her eyes land a photo of her and Sonny attempting to ice skate, clinging to each other for dear life, tears in their eyes from laughing so hard. "Holy shit. The ice skating debacle."
"I can say with full confidence, I ain't ever puttin on a pair of ice skates ever again." Sonny laughs. "There's that smile I love so much."
Lisa rests her head on his shoulder. "You wouldn't even put on a pair to make me smile like that again."
"Ya know I would do anything for to make ya smile." Sonny kisses her temple. He turns his attention to the next page. "That time in J-bad ya stole my favorite hat and refused to give it back."
"I was just trying to make sure you got you cardio in for the day." Lisa grins.
"Uh-huh." Sonny huffs.
"Let's see here." Lisa turns the page. "The first time you walked again in front of me." She lightly traces her pointer finger over the picture. "I didn't know Clay got a picture of this."
"Ya know Clay, always the little photographer." Sonny chuckles.
"He is good with the sneaky photos." Lisa comments as she looks over the next picture. "Aww, our first Christmas in the house."
"I ain't gonna lie, I loved every second of that holiday." Sonny tells her.
"Me too." She flips to the next page. "When was this?" Lisa asking looking at the picture of her and Sonny in a pool and her on his shoulders.
"Some time before DEVGRU. I don't remember the contexts, but I do remember we beat everybody at that pool party at chicken fightin." Sonny explains.
"Of course we did, we are the unbeaten team." Lisa chuckles. "Oh, when you took my horseback riding for my birthday that one year." She smiles at the memory.
"Because somebody had never been." Sonny adds.
"Thank you for always making me feel special." Lisa turns the page. "Oh, Sonny's first pedicure."
"Which I enjoyed way more than I ever thought I would." Sonny chuckles.
"Your feet were in desperate need of it." Lisa chuckles. "Though that didn't stop you from complaining for the few days leading up to the appointment."
"Yeah, yeah." Sonny shakes his head. "Ya know back then I thought tough guys didn't get pedicures."
"Yes Sonny, I'm fully aware. I'm just glad you changed your stance on a lot of that."
"Me too, cause pedicures are awesome." Sonny chuckles. "Remember this?" He asks pointing at the next picture.
"Jesus, how were we so bad at mini golf?" Lisa laughs at the memory.
"Clearly our athleticism didn't translate into mini golf." Sonny responds.
"We had fun though." Lisa smiles. "Thank you for putting this book together. It's fun remembering all of the good memories we have together."
"You're welcome baby." Sonny kisses her on the top of her head. "Okay, just a few more pages."
"I can only imagine what the next page holds." She turns the page. "You would Sonny Quinn." Lisa shrieks. "I can't believe I dressed up as a playboy bunny."
"Bet's a bet there Davis." Sonny chuckles. "I'd say Hef and his bunny were a great way to kick off our couples, yet not a couple costume tradition."
"I literally dress up as a playboy bunny in front of so many SEALs that I had to work with." Lisa retorts.
"Ya know they all thought ya were crazy hot before that night anyways." Sonny tells her.
"I guess you're right." Lisa says. "But you redeemed yourself with the first time you took me for a ride on your motorcycle."
"Oh, ya liked that?" Sonny chuckled. "Cause ya spent the whole time tellin me not to kill ya."
"Only the first half. Then I realized you weren't going to do anything to hurt either one of us and I relaxed and started enjoying it." Lisa tells him.
"I'll give ya that, ya did chill out and seem to actually enjoy it." Sonny reaches and turns the page. "The first time I got to see ya in your officer dress blues. Ya took my breath away in that moment."
Lisa leans her head up and looks at him. "You know what I remember from this moment? I remember that I could feel how proud of me you were. That um, that was the moment I knew you and I would make it."
Sonny holds her tighter. "God, I love ya."
"I love you too Sonny."
"How bout this one?" Sonny says looking at the next picture. "That's when I could feel how proud ya were of me."
"I mean it's not every day that I get to pin my man as a senior chief." Lisa smiles looking at the picture.
"Ya never forced me to be something I wasn't, but ya always encouraged me to me the best I could be." Sonny tells her.
"That's because for a long time I was the only person you would let see how capable you are." Lisa strokes his thigh. "I pushed you to show that to the rest of the world."
"Thank ya for that." Sonny says before kissing her. "Okay, last picture... ya ready?"
"Of course I'm ready." Lisa beams as she turns the page. "Aww the photoshoot we just did." She runs her hand over the photo. "This maybe my favorite picture of is of all time."
"We do look damn good." Sonny chuckles. "And very in love."
"That's because we are very in love." Lisa smiles "I loved every single photo you put in this album Sonny. Thank you."
"You're welcome, Lisa." Sonny kisses her. "Merry Christmas baby. Words can't explain how happy I am to be here with ya."
"Don't make me think about almost losing you when I'm so happy." Lisa jokes.
