A/N: Here is the next of Sonny and Lisa visiting his Dad. Let me know what you think!

"God, I hope this goes better than yesterday." Sonny says as he pulls into the driveway to his Dad's house.

Lisa rubs his shoulder. "Let's hope that Hannah is right about her being a bit of an ice breaker."

"For real, cause I give up if today is just a damn repeat of yesterday." Sonny tells her.

"I think that's fair." Lisa reassures him. "But let's stay positive and hope that he comes around. I'm sure the fact that you just showed up here after decades had to be shocking to him."

Sonny narrows his eyes at her. "Can ya stop bein so damn logical and seein shit from his point of view."

"No Sonny Quinn." Lisa chuckles. "You need to hear the truth sometimes, whether you like it or not."

"It's a good thing I love ya more than life's itself." Sonny chuckles.

"You'd be lost without me." Lisa grins.

"Yes, I would be." He leans across the console and kisses her. He watches Hannah pull in next to them. "I guess that's our que to do this."

"Yes Sonny." Lisa says while opening her car door. She leans her head back into the car. "Don't get mad."

"Yes Ma'am." Sonny grumbles. He sees her displeased face. "I'll be good Sonny."

"That's all I'm asking for." Lisa tells him as they walk over to Hannah's truck. "Hey Hannah."

Hannah reaches out and they hug. "Hi Lisa. You guys feeling okay after last night?"

"Oh, yeah. Hate to say it, but Sonny and I probably too much too often." Lisa laughs.

"Damn Davis, ya over here makin us sound like a couple of alcoholics." Sonny steps forward and hugs Hannah.

"Aww. I wasn't thinking that." Hannah tells him. "Hell, I own a bar."

"That's a good point Ms. Oliver." Sonny chuckles.

Hannah bumps his shoulder with hers. "Maybe try to not look like someone just killed your dog."

"I can confidently say that I would be much more upset if somethin happened to Tex or Milly." Sonny counters.

"Tex and Milly." Hannah slowly nods.

"Don't be hatful." Sonny points his finger at her. "Of course I chose Tex. And Lisa named Milly." He turns to Davis. "Apparently it is short for Ameila, but we only call her Milly."

"I wasn't Sonny." Hannah looks sternly at him. "And let me guess, German Shepards?"

"Rottweilers." Lisa says pulling up a picture of the two.

"Aww." Hannah smiles. "Maybe we should get him a dog."

"He'd probably kick the damn thing." Sonny grumbles.

This comment earns an arm slap from Hannah. "He's changed. I promise."

"That ain't what it felt like yesterday." Sonny retorts.

"Let's see if we can fix that today." Hannah leans into her truck and hands Sonny a box of household goods.

"Ya got him all of this?" Sonny asks looking through the box.

"Yes." Hannah pulls some grocery bags from her truck. "I told you he needed help. I'm just trying to help him out as much as I can."

"Maybe if he hadn't run everyone in his life off, he wouldn't be alone." Sonny mumbles as he walks towards the house.

"How bad do you think this will be?" Hannah asks Lisa as they walk.

"I don't know." Lisa shrugs. "Yesterday wasn't pretty. As much as Sonny will not admit it, I think it hurt him the way Emmet reacted yesterday. And in true Sonny fashion, he got mad."

"You know, as mad as they get at each other, they are so much alike." Hannah notes.

"Don't let Sonny hear that." Lisa chuckles.

"Don't I know it." Hannah agrees.

"What are y'all two whisperin bout?" Sonny asks.

"Oh nothing." Hannah tells him.

"I don't trust either of y'all two right now." Sonny watches Hanna knock on the front door.

"Too bad." She tells Sonny.

"What the hell is this?" Emmet grumbles when he finds Sonny and Davis standing with Hannah. His eyes land on Hannah. "What are these two doing here?"

"Your son is worried about you." Hannah stops him from closing the door. "You should think hard before you push him away, he'll probably never come back."

"We have made it this long without one another." Emmet scuffs. "Why change a damn thing now?"

"Cause you're gonna die Dad." Sonny responds before Hannah can.

"Was I talkin to ya." Emmet practically growls.

"No, ya were talkin bout me, and for the fact, about my wife." Sonny takes a deep breath. "I don't want it to be like this. I came here to see ya, to help ya. That bein said can we please come in."

Emmet thinks for a second before stepping aside. "Don't read too far into this."

"Got it." Sonny nods as he walks past.

"Sonny, you can put that box on the kitchen table." Hannah calls from the kitchen.

"Yes Ma'am." Sonny joins her in the kitchen. "What the hell am I doin here?"

"You're bein a good son Sonny. He needs you right now, even if he can't admit it to himself." Hannah rubs his shoulder.

"I just gotta be the bigger person here, don't I?" He feels Lisa come up next to him and wrap her arm around his.

"Yeah Sonny, you do." Hannha tells him.

"I'll have ya know I don't like bein the bigger person." He mumbles.

"Too bad." Lisa chimes in.

"Fine." Sonny huffs and walks into the living room to find Emmet sitting on the front porch. "Hey, can we talk." He asks after sitting in the chair next to Emmet.

"What we got to talk bout?" Emmet asks.

"We haven't seen each other in a lifetime. I think we can find somethin." Sonny jokes.

"Ya found a woman to put up with your ass." Emmet chuckles to himself.

"I'll tell ya what, I can't believe it either." Sonny readjusts his hat. "But after years of bein best friends, it, uh, it just kinda happened. And once we opened the can of warms, we couldn't close it back."

Emmet leans back in his rocking chair. "Why would ya wanna? She seems like a good match for ya."

"Ah." Sonny nods. "We were in the same unit. And in military world that is a huge no, no. We both could have been dishonorably discharged for it."

"But here ya are." Emmet says with a cocked eyebrow.

"Ya know me, I ain't never really been a rule follower." Sonny chuckles. "It's real amazin that I was didn't get kicked outta the Navy long ago."

"What ya wind up doin?" Emmet inquires.

Sonny leans forward and rests his forearms on his thighs. "Teir One Navy SEAL."

Emmet rocks backwards and forwards. "That's real important, ain't it?"

"Uh, yeah." Sonny chuckles. "One could say that. It's considered the top."

"Ya still doin that?" Emmet takes a sip of his beer.

"Kinda." Sonny studders. "I, um, I got hurt a couple of years back and it ended my operaterin career, but I teach the new guys now."

"What bout Lisa?" Emmet asks.

"Well, Davis there, she's the real rockstar." Sonny smiles at the mention of her. "She works in intelligence, and she's damn good."

"Intelligence?" Emmet repeats.

"Yeah." Sonny nods. "She's the one that finds the bad guys for us to hunt down. She's the brains behind the operation."

"Y'all got kids?"

"That's gonna be a hell nah." Sonny laughs. "We ain't got nothin against them, they just aren't for us."

"Huh." Is Emmet's only reply.

"What bout ya Dad?"

"Ain't much to tell." Emmet pauses to take a deep breath. "Ya can look around and see what I have been up to."

"Yeah." Sonny glances at his surroundings. "I ain't gonna lie to ya, it don't look like much."

"I've been getting sick for a while now." Emmet says with a loud cough.

"Dad, listen, I wanna help ya. I don't know how or what ya need, but I'm here for ya."

"You're here to watch me die son."
