Chapter 2: New teammate.
It took Lloyd and Qrow less than an hour to travel from the village to the city, but they would have been much earlier if they hadn't had to deal with a few Grimms along the way. Seriously, how many of these creatures were there in this world. Besides, another thing that bothered Lloyd was Qrow's stench because the man smelled like strong liquor.
When they got to the city, Lloyd watched the entire city. It might not be as modern as Ninjago, but it was great too, but some of the technologies were on a higher level than in his world.
Before they entered the school grounds, Lloyd changed his ninja outfit to a normal set of clothes. Now he wears green sneakers and black pants. He is wearing a dark green hoodie and a white T-shirt underneath it. On his back was his golden sword and staff with a scroll.
As they walked across the courtyard, the two girls approached them, especially Qrow. Two other girls were behind them.
- Hi Uncle Qrow! - the first two girls greeted.
- How are you, Ruby, Yang? - Qrow asked, greeting his nieces.
Ruby is a fair-skinned young girl with silver eyes and black, neck-length, choppy hair that gradates to dark red at the tips. She wears the same uniform as every other girl attending Beacon, consisting of brown shoes, red tartan skirt, white blouse with maroon trim and thin red bow, a brown vest with gold buttons and maroon blazer with gold trim, alongside full-length black stockings. However, she also wears her red cloak pinned to her blazer.
Yang is a fair-skinned young woman with lilac eyes and bright golden hair worn loose that fades to pale gold at the tips with a cowlick sticking out at the top. She wears the same uniform as Ruby and is complemented by black fingerless gloves.
Ruby and Yang looked behind their uncle to see Lloyd who looked back.
- Are you new here? - Ruby asked.
- What's your name? - Yang asked.
- I'm Lloyd Montgomery Garmadon and yes I'm new here and I don't know anyone here so I hope we can be friends. - Lloyd greeted.
- I'm Ruby Rose. Leader of Team RWBY. - Ruby greeted.
- I'm Yang Xiao Long, Ruby's older sister! - Yang introduced herself.
- Wait, since you're her big sister, why do you have different last names? - Lloyd asked, confused.
- Same father, but different mothers. You don't need to know more. - Qrow interrupted.
- Okay, that explains a lot. - Lloyd said, understanding everything. Then he looked at the two girls standing a little further from the sisters. They both realized Lloyd was looking at them and decided to approach them.
- I am Weiss Schnee, heiress of the Schnee Dust Company. - Weiss introduced herself.
Weiss is a pale-skinned young woman with pale blue eyes and long white hair pulled back into an off-center ponytail on the right side and pinned with an icicle-shaped tiara and bangs. A crooked scar runs vertically down her left eye and face. He wears the same uniform as Ruby and Yang.
- Blake Belladonna. - Blake greeted in a rather unfriendly tone.
Blake has a fair-skinned young woman with long, wavy black hair and amber eyes. He wears a black bow on his head. He wears the same set of clothes as the other three.
Lloyd noticed that Blake's bow had moved in some strange way when there was even no wind.
- Nice to meet you girls and I hope we will become good friends. - Lloyd said.
- We can become very close friends if you want to, Green boy ~. - Yang flirted a bit, making Lloyd blush.
- Enough of this romantic comedy for today. We have to go. Now. - Qrow entered, grabbing Lloyd by the collar and dragging him towards the academy. The four girls watched the old drunk and the blonde walk away.
- Do you think he will be attending the academy? - Ruby asked her teammates.
- I hope so. It will be interesting to have him here. - Yang said, wondering if Lloyd would like her puns.
- Yes, he is very nice and he is definitely not like the other boys who are just staring at a woman's body. - Weiss said.
- I don't care if he goes to the academy or not. - Blake said casually.
With Lloyd...
Lloyd and Qrow were in the elevator that went all the way to the top. As the elevator arrived, Lloyd came face to face with the director of the Beacon Academy himself, sitting in front of his desk.
- Welcome. Please sit down. - Ozpin gestured Lloyd to the chair that was waiting for him. Lloyd knew Ozpin suspected something.
- Introduce yourself. - Ozpin said.
- I'm Lloyd Montgomery Garmadon. - Lloyd introduced himself.
- Welcome. I'm Professor Ozpin, headmaster of this academy. Now, please answer honestly, where are you really from, Mr. Montgomery Garmadon? - Ozpin got straight to the point. Never in the history of Remnant has there been someone like this boy. The boy had great potential and with his abilities it would be easier to fight Grimmy. But what if Salem found out about him, he would be in great danger.
Lloyd was sweating nervously, not knowing what to do. Ozpin already knew he wasn't from here. Lloyd only had two options, tell the truth or lie. He was afraid to tell the truth because they thought him a weirdo, but he wouldn't feel comfortable having to lie. Lloyd looked into Ozpin's eyes and saw that the Headmaster himself was struggling to hide the truth. Lloyd could trust Ozpin, not too much, but on trial for now.
- Okay, I'll say... - Lloyd began to talk about where he came from, the land of Ninjago, the land of Oni and Dragon, the First Spinjitzu Master, the Masters of the Elements, the adventures he and his friends had, and the duel with Aspheera and Pythor that made him find himself here.
Ozpin and Qrow said nothing because they were stunned by what they heard. They never thought there were worlds other than Remnant, but this boy confirmed that the theory was untrue.
- Okay, I told you about myself, and now I would like to know what kind of world I am in, because I have no idea what is going on here. - Lloyd said. He told them about Ninjago, so now it's their turn to tell about this world and the situations this world is facing. He saw that the Grimmas he fought in that village were very dangerous, but he knew it wasn't just that.
- You're right. - Ozpin talked about the beginnings of the Remnant up to the present situation. Lloyd now had the information he needed about his whereabouts.
The world he is in is called the Remnant, which was created by the God of Light and the God of Darkness, the latter of which is responsible for the creation of the Grimm because of jealousy, but together they gave life to mankind.
Remnant is divided into four kingdoms: Vale (where he is currently located), Vacuo, Atlas and Mistral. Of all the kingdoms, Atlas possesses the most advanced technology.
Each kingdom has an academy to train Hunters and Hunters to fight the Grimms: Beacon Academy in Vale, Haven Academy in Mistral, Atlas Academy in Atlas, and Shade Academy in Vacuo.
The Huntsmen and Huntresses were people who slew and killed Grimm to protect humanity for a better tomorrow. They used their "Aura" which was their soul as a barrier to protect them from being harmed. And they had a special ability connected to their Aura known as a Semblance.
In addition to humans, there is a race on Remnant called Faunus who are similar to humans, except for the fact that they share certain characteristics with animals. Some types of Faunus are more common than others and some are extremely rare. Mammalian faunus tends to be fairly common overall.
The Grimm, the creatures he fought against, were mindless killing machines who only desired to extinguish both Human and Faunus. They were attracted by negative emotions and had left countless towns destroyed.
The weapons of the Huntsmen and most energy sources used a mineral known as Dust which came in various forms allowing the channeling of elements like Fire, Water, Electricity, Ice, Wind, Gravity, etc. The most successful corporation in regards to Dust was the Schnee Dust Company or more widely referred to as the SDC. Speaking of that…
There was a fair amount of tension between the Humans and Faunus due to ignorance, racism, pride, greed, etc. This tension had escalated into a conflict between the SDC and a movement known as the White Fang. They were a peaceful organization that wanted equality for both races. Unfortunately, they were now a terrorist movement.
Lloyd got a lot of information he needed and knew what he needed to do, but that doesn't mean he'll forget Aspheer and Pythor. The two are still on the loose, but don't know where they are, so just wait for them to make their first move. Ozpin told him a lot, but not everything.
- You are hiding something even though I told you all about me. - Lloyd looked directly into Ozpin's eyes. If he was forced to stay here, he had to know everything, but he was hiding something and that's why he wanted to know.
- I must admit that you are very perceptive. - but before Ozpin could start telling the story, Qrow quickly entered the conversation.
- Woah, woah, woah! You're not gonna be telling him about her, are you? - Qrow didn't want the boy to know about her." If she finds out about him, she will want to use it for her purposes of destruction.
- Qrow, if it wasn't for him, that village would be destroyed, don't you think? Besides, since he stays with us, he can know what others, except us, do not know. - Ozpin began to tell about the Queen of the Grimm, Salem, Ozpin's former love, who she was, their first meeting, their life together, his death and Salem's plea to the Gods to bring him back to life, his curse that once he died, will be reborn in a new body, the Salem curse that made her immortal, Salem's unsuccessful fight with the Gods that resulted in the extinction of all humanity and the Faunus but her, attempting to lift the Salem curse by bathing in the Grimm puddles, their family life, the death of their daughters, they were both guilty of, but Salem felt it was his fault, until they both turned from lovers to mortal enemies.
Lloyd was silent. He thought about what Ozpin had just told him. To be honest, he didn't know what he was thinking right now. Grimms, White Fang, and Schnee Dust Company are one thing, but it was too much. The immortal witch who has power over all Grimm on Remnant, destroy the whole world because of what happened to her. Lloyd looked down at his hands, thinking if he could bring his father back to normal then maybe there was a shadow of a chance he could do the same to her. He knew going to her would be too risky, but he had to try.
- For now, I have no idea. Aspheera and Pythor are out there somewhere and I have to stop them, but I don't know yet where they are, and since I'm here maybe I could help Remnant with his problems somehow, if you don't mind, Professor Ozpin? - Lloyd said, accepting that he would have to live in Remnant from now on.
- So let me ask you one last question. Would you like to attend my academy? - Ozpin asked, making a proposal.
- I don't see any other choice but I noticed that each team has four members. - Lloyd knew a little problem with it because he was alone and needed three more.
- Don't worry about it. I can put you on one team. - Ozpin pulled out a scroll and searched the team list to find the right team for him. After scrolling through the list for a few seconds, he finally came across this team, which he thought was a good choice.
- From now on you will be part of the Team RWBY. When Glynda arrives here, she will lead you to their room. - Seconds after Ozpin's words, the elevator doors open, revealing Glynda, who walked over to them. Lloyd's gaze fell on her large breasts, which bounced a little with every step she took. Lloyd quickly looked away from the teacher's strengths. He wasn't a pervert, and he definitely wasn't going to be.
- Glynda, would you please take Mr. Montgomery Garmadon to the Team RWBY's room? - Glynda walked over to them and looked at him, not believing it was the boy who saved the village all by himself. But seeing that video of him fighting the Grimm, the boy was more powerful than he looked.
- Follow me. - Glynda looked at Lloyd seriously. Lloyd flinched a little for fear. This woman seems stricter than Master Wu, so he would have to be more careful when Glynda was around. Lloyd got up from his chair and walked with Glynda to the elevator. After the elevator started moving, Qrow and Ozpin were left alone.
- You think she already knows about him? - Qrow asked, feeling that Salem probably found out about him and would try to gain his power. Ozpin turned and looked out the window at the afternoon sky.
- I hope not. -
With Lloyd and Glynda...
Lloyd and Glynda walked through the hallways of the dorm. Lloyd was curious how the girls would react to the new teammate. Out of the corner of his eye, he watched Glynda's enormous breasts bounce slightly with her every step. Her hips moved in such a way that Lloyd had trouble looking away.
- You better listen. Even if you're new here, I don't advise you to be late for tomorrow's class, understood? - Glynda gestured to Lloyd with her crop.
- Okay, okay, I get it. Be punctual or face the consequences. - Lloyd said with a nervous smile.
They walked in silence for a few more minutes and finally reached the team's room. Glynda entered the room without warning. Lloyd peeked out from behind Glynda to see Ruby and Yang playing some video game, Weiss was doing homework, and Blake was in her bed reading a book. Lloyd looked at the book and noticed that the book was titled ''Ninja of Love''. Blake saw Lloyd looking at her book and quickly tucked it behind her back.
- Listen! Starting today, Mr. Montgomery Garmadon will be your new teammate. You will settle the rest with yourselves. Goodbye. - Glynda left the room and headed toward her.
- Welcome to our team, Lloyd! - Ruby shouted happily.
- I had a feeling you would be in the academy, but I didn't think you would be on our team as well. - Yang said with a smile.
- I never expected a fifth member to join us, and even so, it's a good thing you are Lloyd. - Weiss said before returning to her homework.
Blake didn't say anything, she just went back to reading her book. Lloyd started to say something, but at that moment the door to the room opened again, revealing Glynda Goodwitch holding a sleeping bag and a Scroll.
- Here. For now, you will sleep in a sleeping bag until you get a new bed. And professor Ozpin told me to give you this Scroll to communicate with him and his friends. - Glynda handed Lloyd the sleeping bag and the Scroll and headed for her way. Lloyd put the sleeping bag between the supposed bunk beds and his Scroll on the cupboard.
- I'll take a shower. It's been a long day for me and a lot of things have happened so I'll go to bed early if you don't mind? - Lloyd asked. Fighting again with Aspheera and Pythor, moving to Remnant, saving the village from the murderous Grimms, learning about the history of Remnant and what problems he has to deal with every day was too much for the Green Ninja for one day, so he decided to sleep with it.
- Sure. The bathroom is over there. Help yourself. - Ruby pointed to the bathroom door. Lloyd went there and closed the door behind him. He took off his clothes, showing off his muscular body. Maybe he wasn't as muscular as Cole, at least he was more muscular than Jay. He stepped into the shower, turned the dial, and let the warm water run down his body. He closed his eyes and thought about what Ozpin had told him about Salem. The woman just wanted to do the right thing, but it didn't do well. Maybe if he met her, he could use his power and the Scroll of Forbidden Spinjitzu to remove the Grimm side from her, but for now he preferred to wait. He still didn't know Remnant well, so he decided he would first get to know Vale, the other kingdoms, and the Menagerie, then try to do something about Sal, but in the meantime. Aspheera and Pythor are somewhere in Remnant planning something and he doesn't know where they are or what they're up to, but he promised himself to stop them once and for all. He opened his eyes, washed, and stepped out of the shower, grabbing a towel. He wiped the dripping water off him and looked in the mirror.
- Welcome to Remnant, Lloyd. You got into it yourself, now you will have to live with it somehow. - Lloyd said to himself, as if waiting for an answer. He put down the towel and used Spinjitzu to wear his green striped pajamas. He used his power to create a pair of flip-flops for himself and left the bathroom.
Lloyd walked over to the sleeping bag without a word, unfolded it, and went to sleep immediately. The girls just looked at each other confused. Lloyd had seemed merry when they met him, and now he looked more depressed. They didn't want to force him to talk today, but they will talk to him tomorrow.
- (Good night mom, dad, Master Wu, everyone. I hope you can do without me.) - Lloyd thought, then fell asleep with a sad face on his face.
Okay, the next chapter is ready!
Lloyd met the RWBY team and was accepted into the Beacon Academy. Sam intends to deal with the two Serpentine and help with Remnant's problems. But deep in his heart he feels sad about the possibility that he may never see his family and friends again.
In the next chapter, Lloyd will meet other teams of Huntsmen and Huntresses, take on a small duel against a monkey faunus, save a rabbit-eared girl from a gang of bullies, and teach them to treat other humans and Faunus properly.
I also plan to do a crossover about Jeff Smith's Bone and Sonic the Hedgehog in the future. Write in the comments what you think about it.
