After returning from the cafe, Lincoln devises a way to help Haiku. However, will his family support him?
A month has passed since that conversation and for Lincoln, it was a time of really hard intellectual work. The time which he fully devoted to looking for the solution of the gothic girl problem. Lincoln just didn't want to fail her. Haiku was counting at him and a white-haired boy wanted to do his best to help her.
Obviously, he always knew it wasn't his next small plan but probably one of the biggest challenges in his short life. It was simply an attempt to stop the unstoppable. Boy even was joking that if he did it, he could try to look for the solution of the conflict in the Middle East. However, even knowing it he didn't plan to give up.
Everything started soon after his return from the Cafe. Well as he expected, Clyde did not bear the pressure and betrayed him. So, the girls were waiting at him and the boy had to say the truth. Well in short girl exceeded the permissible noise levels by a few decibels and then they bombarded him with asks.
Obviously, Lincoln felt embarrassed about a few of them. However, he didn't try to stop them. It would be just pointless, he just let them ask him all possible questions and then answered:
- Girls, Girls calm down it wasn't a date.
- Really? So what Haiku wanted from you? - Lori asked.
- She needed my help in something.- Lincoln with prepared white lie replied.
-Sigh, why she didn't ask me? I'm her comrade in eternal gloom- Lucy asked.
-It was something she couldn't tell you, and before you ask, she told me to keep a secret so don't insist. - The Girls groaned in frustration.
- Dude no fair.
- I'm literally dying of curiosity now
- Nobody has the right to keep secrets from the princess.
- I would like to true will see dark. Get it? -
- Sorry girls I'm a man of my word.
- You really can't say anything? Lori asked.
- Totes Ani words.?
- Girls, please. It's something difficult for her. - Lincoln explained. Next, he asked: - Would you be happy if someone knows about your shameful secrets?
The sisters looked at each other before Lola snorted:
-A princess like me haven't any shameful secrets.
- Really? - Lincoln raised an eyebrow. - So, who uses old panties to clean makeup? -
-How? - She asked.
- Let's say you aren't very mysterious. Now if I can I have homework to do. - Lincoln said shrugging. Then he went to his room. The last thing he heard was Lola warning him:
- It won't stay that way. I'll find out what this girl wanted from you. - Lincoln just sighed knowing now will be harder.
Unfortunately, it wasn't just an empty threat. Lola really was doing everything to discover the truth, Making the already difficult task only more complicated.
Lincoln had to not only be careful not to speak out loud or write down his ideas. He also was forced to hide his things in Clyde's house. His sister even didn't try to hide exasperation with this fact. Well, warning "This is not over" was clear evidence Unfortunately her spying attempts were not so obvious and made him a bit paranoid. Probably the only good effect of it was in fact he found all the cameras of Lisa and Luan.
Despite these difficulties, the boy tried to created plans and ideas which could work. However always resigned from them, cause no of them was a legal or logical way to help her.
He even considered helping her escape from home, but he quickly considered it total idiocy. Lincoln just didn't want to have a problem with Haiku's parents and make it in a legal way. Unfortunately, according to the law, the girl had to be looked after by her parents, this excluded self-live and similar ideas. Everything indicated that the girl will be a force to leave a city and his sister lost the only friend.
Everything changed at the end of the first month when Lincoln looked at the problem from a different. Boy just understood that Haiku did not necessarily have to be looked after by her parents, all she needed was a legal guardian.
It gave Lincoln a crazy idea, but it was his only option. He just hoped the girls will accept it. However, first, he wanted to make sure it is possible that's why he went to talk to Lisa hoping the girl has the necessary knowledge.
So, the boy came to her door and knocked. After a moment he heard:
-Please go on. - Lincoln went in and looked at Lisa. His sister experimented as usual. Girl without interrupted the work asked:
- Welcome homo sapiens, how can I help you?
- Umm Lisa, I have a question but I'm not sure if you could answer it. - He replied with antsy. . It caught Lisa attention who stopped working and looked at Lincoln:
- The question that I may not know the answer? you have my attention Homo sapiens. - said the little scientist with a bit of curiosity.
- First, do you have knowledge of the law?
- I confirm the brother unit, but why this question?
- Well, I'm wondering whether the law makes it possible to grant legal guardianship status with the consent of the parents or someone like it. - Lincoln replied scratching back of his head. Lisa started stroking her chin before replied:
- An interesting question I don't know why you want to know the older brother unit but yes, it's possible.
- Thanks, Lisa. So, do you need my help?
- Thank you for your concern homo sapiens, but your services are not necessary
-Well, then I'll leave you alone. - After it, Lincoln went out of Lisa's room. Now he could slowly develop his plan.
However, for it to work, it must be perfect. So, the boy worked on it for almost the whole month. When he finally was sure there were no flaws, he convened an unexpected "Sibling meeting".
Now they were in Lori's room and girls were looking at him with a curious. Finally, Lori asked:
- Ok, twerps why you called us I just talking with Bobby.
- Exactly Stincoln my baseball training can't wait. - Lynn echoed
-And my tea party- Lola added proudly
- Well, Lola, I believe that the reason for our meeting will prove more important to you than a tea party. - Lincoln replied looking at her. The girl gave him a "try me" look. This statement interested his sisters
-Ok, bro, now you have our attention. - Luna said.
- Well, you remember how two months ago I met with Haiku and then I was very mysterious? - . Lincoln asked and the girls confirmed.
-So... - Before Luan could end Lincoln interrupted her:
- No, it's nothing common with love. - The boy interrupted to collect thoughts and added: - I'm sorry Lucy that I say it now, but Haiku asked me about keep it in secret.
-What you mean, older brother? - Gothic looked at him with curiosity.
- Haiku soon will leave Royal Woods. - He almost spat these words out. Lucy was shocked to hear it. The rest of the girl was just irritated.
- You literally called us to say it? - Lori asked.
- I had to interrupt my training. - Lynn added
- I was fixing vanilla!
- I was learning a new song!
-I was coming up with new jokes!
- Girls, Girls. - The boy tried to calm them down, but it didn't work so he was forced to scream: - Girls!
- What? - Lori asked still irritated.
- It's not why we are here. - The boy explained before added: - I promised to help her.
This statement drew the attention of everyone, especially a small gothic.
- What you mean, bro.- Luna asked.
- Well, Haiku doesn't want to move, and I told her that if there was a legal way that she could be I would find him- Boy, explain.
- So, you need our help? - Leni asked.
- I think our older brother unit, already found a solution, - Lisa stated caught the attention of everybody. Everybody looked at Lincoln who confirmed:
- Lisa is right. -
- Ok, can anyone explain to me what this brilliant plan is about? - Lynn looked at each other and asked. Both of them looked at each as if asking who do it. Finally, Lisa stated:
- A month ago, our older brother unit visit me and asked about possible to obtaining legal guardian status with the consent of the parents.
-Is it only me that doesn't understand it. -Rocker scratched his head.
-Ok, Luna let me explain. Haiku has to be looked after by parents or legal guardians. - Lincoln explained when a few girls made a face "I understand now"
- So, you want to find her legal guardian here? - Luan asked. Lincoln just nodded.
- Do you mean somebody already? - Lynn asked
- Yeap our parents. - Lincoln declared calm
- What? - everyone shouted. The girls started to express their opposition:
- It's literally crazy. - Lori said.
- Dude what you thought about.
- Do you feel good
- You must have suffered from mental fatigue.
- We don't have enough money
- Where she would life
- I don't need the next girl who appears from nowhere- Lola protested.
a murmur started rising, but before becoming too loud, the boy raised both hands in a calming gesture and started to calm them down:
- Girls, Girls I know it could be problematic, but I had a month to think things through, so please let me explain everything before you start criticizing.
Girls looked each other questioningly and finally, Lori accepted:
- Fine Twerps after all you are a man with a plan. So, we literally all are ears.
- Ok. So, the first money. - The boy scratched back of the head and added: - Well, I thought her parents would send us money every month to support her.
- It's not a stupid idea.
- Sound good.
- Well thought out but where she will sleep? - Lynn asked.
- I hope you will like my idea. - Lincoln replied to her with a smile - Well I will move at the attic or to the cellar. You will take my room and Haiku will live with Lucy.
- Own room? Sound sweet- Lynn stated..
- Sigh, Me, and my dark compadre together, my dark soul couldn't be happier. - Lucy added.
- So if we solved it, there is any more questions? - The boy asked.
- Currently can't find anything, older brother unit- Lisa said.
- I can't come up with anything.
- I'm satisfied- Lucy stated.
- Well, everything is clear to me. - Lynn said.
- Great, then are you in favor? Lincoln asked, looking hopefully at the sisters.
- Totes do not like to see people sad. If Haiku is happy then I am in - Leni said after a moment's thought.
- You had my voice when you mention about my own room - Lynn supported him.
- Sigh, you know my answer.
- I see that you have everything thought out Homo sapiens, so I support this concept - Lisa stated improving her glasses.
- She is Japanese, right? - Lola asked. Lucy just nodded to confirm. - Great I heard a lot of good things about local culture so I'm in favor.
- Maybe I don't always agree with miss pink but this time you also have my support, brother. - Lana added before Lola snapped back:
-Shut up Junk's face.
- Take it back, brocade witch. - Twin looked at her daggers.
- Calm down, you two. We literally have more important things here than your stupid fights! - Lori scolded them. The girls looked at her in repentance. Oldest sister shook her head and added: - Well twerps it's always extra help so I'm in.
-This idea rocking for me, bro? - Luna stated raising thumbs.
- Of course, little brother- Luan supported.
-Poo, poo- Lilly said clapping happily.
- Great, I see everybody is in. Now you must help me convince parents to this idea. - Lincoln started with a big smile.
-It's your idea, why don't you do it yourself? - Lynn asked.
- Well, always ten people have bigger convincing power than one. - Lincoln replied shrugging.
- And that's why you asked us first? - Luna asked. Lincoln nodded in replied.
- it' was literally well thought out -Lori praised him. -So, when you are going to do it?
- Well, I wanted to do it after lunch, to be able to take care of everything else as soon as possible. - Lincoln explained scratching back of his head.
- So, you can count on us. - Lori promised in the name of a group.
- Thanks, sisters.
A few hours later, Lynn senior called everyone for dinner. Loud siblings went down to the dining room and sat down at the table. Now all they had to do was wait when everybody ate and hope that the plan worked out. Meanwhile, Loud father served dinner, today it was Lynnsagne.
According to plan siblings started to eat trying not to make too much fuss so that parents can be calm when the right time comes.
Obviously, they were surprised at it and they were guessing something was going on. So, none of them were surprised when after everything Lincoln drew their attention by tapping fork in a glass and spoke:
-Parents, there is something that we would like to talk to you about. - He said putting glass on the table.
- What's up children. - Lynn sr asked wondering what his children had planned this time.
- Sigh, soon my forever gloomy comrade Haiku will leave the city. - Lucy stated.
- OH, daughter, it must be difficult for you. - Rita stated in a "caring mother "mode putting a hand on her shoulder
- Would be but Lincoln already took care of it. - Goth said looking at brother.
- Really? - Father asked surprised and still not understanding what's going on. The rest of the sisters just nodded.
- It's great you help your sister overcome a loss, son. - Father praised him.
- Parent's units. Actually, your male offspring, have developed a way for Haiku to stay in town. - Lisa stated improving the glasses.
- Lisa wanted to say Lincoln found a way to prevent Haiku from leaving. - Lori explained seeing the confused faces of her parents.
- Really? - Mom with curiosity looked at his son.
- Really and we can say it's really gloom idea. Get it? - Luan joked cause moan of irritation of everybody, except Lynn sr who giggled.
-It was good, daughter.- he praised her before he added: - but back to the main topic, son, don't you think it's something beyond your capabilities?
- Exactly, it's something big. - Rita added.
- Don't worry parents Lincoln has everything well thought out and we have already accepted this plan - Luna calmed them down.
- It's true? - the surprised father said because his children were rarely so compatible
-Really, but we literally need your help to make it happen. So can you just listen to him, please? -Lori asked.
-, I see we are an important part of, so good, son what is your plan? - Rita asked.
- Well, I thought that for Haiku to stay she must have legal guardians, and I even found two candidates. - The white-haired boy said.
- You want us to help you convince them. -Mother asked.
"Umm, actually, - Lincoln said, scratching his head to find the right words
-Lincoln wants Haiku to live with us. Is it totes not a genius idea? - Leni asked unexpectedly, destroying the whole intricate plan.
-What? -Shouted the surprised father.
-Son, it's not a good idea, you don't even know how many problems it brings. - Rita added
- Don't worry Lincoln has literally everything thought out well.- Lori explained. Other sisters confirmed
- Parents I know it sounds crazy, but I thought about everything, so could you listen to me?
- Fine- Lynn sr agreed.
- Well, you are probably worried about money, so I decided that the best solution would be if Haiku's parents send us money to support her. - Lincoln explained.
- It's not a bad idea but where she will sleep? - Mom asked.
- Stincoln, will give me his room and move on the attic or to the cellar. - Lynn jr stated.
- So, Haiku will live with me. - Lucy ended.
-You really accept it, son? - Father asked.
- Well, I said Haiku I find a solution and if it helps me keep the word, I'm ready. - Lincoln confirmed. Then asked: - So what you think about it
- Umm son we need to think out it- Lynn sr apologized.
- Don't worry parents I know it's not an easy decision but please do it quickly because Haiku will move in less than a month. - The white-haired boy stated.
-Good son, we will give our replied tomorrow. - Lynn sr promised.
Thanks.- Lincoln said
-No problem honey,- Rita stated, before asked- So there anything else you would like to discuss.
Children denied, before they went to their rooms. Lincoln did the same but earlier he was stopped by Lucy who thanked him for everything. Then the boy went to his room. There he lay on the bed and put hands under the head. The boy started wondering what's now. He was more than sure his parents will accept this plan, so now he was only worried about convincing Haiku parents. Lincoln didn't know them enough well and didn't know what their reaction would be. Concerned about it boy finally lost with a tired and fall asleep.
