The hallway has a much personality as the rest of the hospital. The floor is slate grey and the walls dove. Above the ceiling is made from those polystyrene squares laid on a grid-like frame. The light is too bright for my eyes after the darkening gloom outside, I find it abrasive, enough perhaps to bring on one of my migraines. There are commercial prints on the wall, tasteful in the dull kind of way. This place certainly isn't run by risk-takers and I guess I should find comfort in that. Above every door I pass is a large plastic sign, dark with white lettering- no fancy fonts, just bold and all-caps. It's so new and spotless I feel like the whole building must have just gotten beamed here from some-place where dirt is outlawed.

My eyes fall to Theo who was picking up a dinosaur blanket off the floor. That's Atlas's. I jogged over to him hearing Regina close behind me.

"Excuse me. I need to go back there. You see my partner forgot our son's blanket and I don't want him to be more upset than he already is so-" He started, but the nurse held up her hand, effectively cutting him off.

"Look, sir, or whatever you are, I believe that it was already explained to you that only the child's parent's or legal guardian are permitted to be with him."

I'm sorry. Did I hear that correctly?

Pushing my way through the crowds of people, my anger and worry taking the wheel of my actions I slammed my hands down on the counter gaining the nurse's attention, "And I believe it needs to be explained to you who loves him, and feeds him, and walks him in his stroller, and changes him and cleans up his fucking shit and pays the god damn bills. So you listen to me," I glanced down at her name tag and rolled my eyes. Of course her name is Karen, "This man beside me stays up all night worrying that Atlas will grow up to be happy and healthy and loved, so don't you dare tell him that he has no right to be with him you vicious homophobic cunt!"

Karen rapidly blinked at me with jaw dropped so far it was almost to her saggy tits. Theo, wearing the same expression looked at me in awe. Just then a man in a white lab coat came out as he looked over his clipboard.

Theo jumped in doctor's way, stopping the man in his tracks, "Excuse me, this is the mother."

The so-called doctor's eye's fell on me from above his reading he glasses and he nodded, "I'll take her back."

"Well then he's coming too." I stated to the doctor who looked so over this fucking conversation. He sighed, rubbing his eyebrows with his fingers and brought his gaze up, but it soon drifted over my shoulder and a smile appeared on his face.

"Regina!"

"Hey Bobby." Oh shit, she knows this prick? Of course she would, "Do you think you can help out my friends just this once?"

"Oh," He looked at us with a raised eyebrow, "These people are your friends?"

"Yes they are. Is there a problem?" Regina folded her arms over her chest and cocked her hip out to the side.

"Uh, no. No problem at all. Sir," he said, looking at Theo, "I'll take you back to see your son."

Theo let out a big exhale as he turned to Regina and wrapped her up in a big hug, "I don't know who you are, but thank you. Thank you so much."

He walked with the doctor but not before facing me and mouthing an 'I love you'. I smiled, nodding my head to him and went to plop down in one of the chairs. Him and I tended to butt heads but when shit gets tough we always find a way to put that aside and come together. Regina sat down beside me, but at an angle.

"You don't want to go with him?" she asked, resting the tip of her shoe against my calf.

"No, they're the parents. I just do credited guest appearances." I mumbled. I leaned forward and rested my elbows on my thighs, interlocking my fingers. "Thanks for that by the way."

She frowned slightly before covering it up, "I think you're more than that and it's no problem. I don't know what bureaucratic bullshit they trying to pull, I'm sorry you had to deal with that. And the way you talked to that nurse. That was impressive and kind of hot."

Tilting my head I looked at her and lazily smiled. I studied her face, searching for any kind of hidden meaning behind her words but as usual, it was blank. Her hair was still wet from our impromptu skinny dipping session which was now held up in a messy bun. Outside of this current event today was probably the best day I've had in a really long time. And I didn't even need drugs to improve it or the baths.

"You don't have to stay."

"I know I don't have to stay. I want to stay." Reaching over she rubbed my back with her comforting touch.

"Why?" I almost demanded, realizing that my tone was a little too accusatory and not casual enough for the conversation. She jerked her head back in the most minuscule of movements, pulling her hand back she let it sit in her lap.

"Because…" But she failed to come up with anything after that. Shaking my head I turned my attention back to the nurse at the front desk who was scowling at me, dismissing Regina and whatever fake niceties she had to offer, "You're my friend." I finally heard her whisper, but more like it was an after thought that I wasn't supposed to hear.

"Friends…? Right…"

I felt her stare burn into the side of my face as she mumbled something under her breath, this time much lower than the last and then said, "I'm going to go call Jim." Not waiting for my answer she stood and walked down the hall, focused on the screen of her phone.

Friends? Is she serious right now? Her and Jim hired me to do a job. And I can guarantee that it wasn't to be friends. Sitting back in this tiny ass uncomfortable chair I let my eyes close I rested my head on bland wall behind me. Soon a pleasant cologne wafted under my nose as someone placed their head on my shoulder.

"He's going to be okay." Eliot lowly said in a way that he was trying to convince himself.

"Have you heard anything from the doctor yet?"

"No. But Atlas is finally asleep and Theo is in there to give me break." He was so exhausted, his voice low and husky. "I did hear that you have a cutie with you and not the type of trick you normally bring around. Theo mentioned this one is 'sophisticated'."

"She's not a trick." I defended quite quickly. I opened my eyes and call it timing or fate but she was standing near the entrance just in front of the glass sliding door bouncing her gaze between Eliot and I. Her walk became slow, steady, and maybe even a little hesitant as she came closer and closer to us. Playing with her phone she bit her lip in the process, pausing her steps to finish whatever she was doing before sliding it in her back pocket and continuing her stride.

"Okay. Who is this hottie?" Eliot asked, picking his head up from my shoulder to stare.

Hasn't anyone told him that it's rude to openly gawk at someone you don't know?

Regina slid in the chair with an expression that appeared to be a mix of confusion and frustration. Scrunching my eyebrows I kept a heavy gaze on her because there was no use in trying to conceal the intensity of my curiosity.

"Everything okay?" Unfortunately my tone was still just as brash as before, but hopefully my concern for her current emotional state made up for it.

She stared at me, her expression shifting into full confusion before she looked to the tile ground and then back to me, "I don't know, something is up with Jim…" Letting her sentence trail off, perfect teeth came out to gently chew her bottom lip. As our gazed flickered to each other and then away I felt like I had gotten my first glimpse into who she was and how she placed her priorities; she was torn between going to be with Jim and staying here with me. How about I make it easier for her.

"Go be with your husband." I said, hearing Eliot clear his throat loudly to gain my attention. "Oh and this," I started, leaning back in my chair so she could see him, "Is Eliot. Theo's other half."

He extended his arm across me and held out his hand, Regina took it, giving him a small handshake with a short smile, "I'm also Emma's best friend, the Lois Lane to her Superman." He added, because what I said wasn't apparently enough.

I smirked, Eliot always knew how to give a great introduction, "So I'll be fine." I wanted to assure her but Regina seemed unconvinced. I don't get it. Why would she want to stay here with me instead of running out to be with Jim? It's a no brainer.

Her shoulders dropped and she let out a slow, long sigh. She placed her hand on top of mine and the familiar companion of tingles buzzed up my arm. I shifted my gaze off her but she leaned back into my line of sight, catching my eyes once more.

"Let me know how he is, okay?" Regina said, but it wasn't really a question more like a demand. Standing up from her chair she kept the hold on my hand and I glanced over to see Eliot's face contorted into an intense concentration as his eyes danced from Regina's hand to my hand and once our eyes met his expression faded while his eyebrows knit together in confusion, "And thank you the Manhattan Day. I had a really great time." She continued, her lips tugging up into a small smile as she let my hand fall from her touch and turned, striding away from me.

"Okay. What the fuck was that?" Eliot asked raising a curious eyebrow.

"Trust me. It's nothing. She's straighter than Barbie and Ken."

"And when has that stopped you before?"

Before I could come up with an answer the doctor appeared and walked towards us. Oh thank fuck! Mostly because we finally get to know how Atlas is doing and partially so I can get Eliot off my back. Like bro, mind your own business.

"Well, we caught the infection just in time, Atlas will make a full recovery. We'll keep him for the night to monitor him, you and your partner are welcome to stay in the room if you'd like." The doctor stated.

We both let out a deep breath, embracing in a tight hug as the doctor walked away, "You should go in there and be with him, Em." Eliot urged, but I shook my head.

"No. You go. Be with our son." Wrapping my arm around his neck I pulled him in for a kiss, thanking him for getting Atlas here.

"I love you, mom." He whispered once our foreheads were pressed together.

"I love you too, dad." I responded, planting another kiss on his lips.

Today was a good day. Atlas is doing much better, we launched Jim's video last night without his permission and they should be walking in my office any second now to review everything. And the biggest thing…my interest in Regina is slowly dwindling, at least I think. She left me a voicemail yesterday and when I called her back her and Jim were giggling in the background and she was out of breath. Pretty sure they were fucking. Which would make sense considering the fact that they're married. That point aside it still frustrated me so I hung up and when she called again I let it ring through, and the next time, and the next time, and the next time.

I ended up pressing ignore a total of seven times until she finally quit.

Honestly, I couldn't afford to get any closer to Regina than I already had. It's not smart, so taking some distance would not only be good for me but it would be good for her as well. I couldn't afford to find her fascinating.

The doors to my office burst open and in walked Diane, Daniel, and Jim. Diane and Daniel were on their tablets with smiles on their faces. Huh, must be good news.

"This is amazing. Just amazing." She sat on the edge of my desk and it took everything in me not to knock her ass off it. That's only reserved for myself and the people who don't treat me like shit.

"Jim has gone up eight points in the polls." Daniel stated, sliding into the empty chair with Jim following, wearing a huge smile. Whatever happened on Monday didn't seem to phase him too much today. "There was even an article on NY News today."

"Good or bad?" Jim asked, unbuttoning his blazer and relaxed in my chair. I rested my elbow on the edge of my desk, twirling my Ad Woman of the Year pen between my fingers.

"It was mixed." Daniel answered honestly.

"It doesn't matter as long as they're talking about you." I interjected. Right now there is no such thing as bad press.

"For once I agree with Emma." Diane tossed me a look over her shoulder accompanied by a cheesy smile. Ugh bitch, miss me with that shit. "And thanks to the earlier release of your commercial."

"Looks like all those sit ups paid off Jim-Bo." I teased, sending him a confident smirk. He winked back and pointed his finger at me.

"I just want you to know, I had all the faith in you Emma." He commended, standing up from his chair and walked behind me, landing heavy hands on my shoulders and squeezing the muscles.

"Oh Jim…No you didn't. But you took a chance anyway."

"Thanks for the push. So what's our residence genius have in mind now?"

All eyes were on me, eagerly waiting for the next thing to come out of my mouth. But really it was a team effort. Too bad the rest of the team is out trying to grab another account as a personal favor for Clay.

"You keep your face in the news and we'll keep you up in the polls." I said, with a smile. Finally he removed his grasp giving me a chance to spin around and look up at him.

He nodded, letting a genuine smile cross his lips, "Tell me something. Do you like to swim?"

"I love to swim."

"Good. Meet me at the Manhattan Athletic Club tonight at eight." That Vanguard's have a way of telling you what to do but in a way that makes it sound like their asking.

He sent me that beautiful candidate smile then motioned for his team to leave the office with him following closely behind them. Though I had sworn to ignore Regina I still felt disappointed that she hadn't come with Jim. I wonder where she was. Maybe shopping with Neal again or possibly meeting up with that client that bailed on her Monday.

Standing from my chair I walked out the office to grab some more coffee and when I crossed the waiting room my ears picked up on some murmuring at my shitty assistant's desk. Standing by the coffee maker I observed my surroundings; to the right was Clay's big ass office with Jim was standing in his office with his team and they were laughing about something. Hopefully the good news that he's finally in front of his competitor.

But then my body tensed upon hearing the click of heels growing closer and that annoying delectable perfume smell surrounded me, suffocated me and I growled. I swear I could feel her body heat radiate towards me and I was so focused on that I over filled my coffee cup, burning my fingers in the process from the steaming liquid.

"Shit." I cursed, grabbing a handful of napkins to clean up the mess but the cheap ass paper thin material did little to help soak up the coffee.

"Yea, that was tough to watch." Her teasing tone floated over my shoulder and I jumped at the sudden sound of Regina's voice, spilling more coffee out of my cup. Jesus Christ. "Do you need any help?"

I shook my head, avoiding eye contact with her and kept my attention on cleaning. I wiped over the same dry spot multiple times while she kept her heavy gaze on me.

"You sure?" She whispered. What was that in her voice? Was it concern? I almost laughed at the silliness of it. Turning my head I met her eyes, hoping that would give her satisfaction.

"I've got it." I didn't mean to sound so harsh and unkind…well, actually, maybe I did, and the effects were sudden because her face immediately fell and her eyes turned sullen for the briefest second. Music to my ears when Diane called her over. Regina's demeanor altered instant to bright and cheery. I kind of felt like an ass, but it would be better if she didn't like me. Right?

She disappeared from my peripheral and I thought over to Jim. But no, because all stupid Diane did was hand her few papers and then close the door to Clay's office. Regina glanced over the papers and at me, looked down again, and shot her eyes back up like she forgot I was standing here. Damnit. She's going to talk to me. And just like I thought she side-stepped in front of me causing to stop very quickly, almost spilling my coffee for the third time.

"Is something up? Do you want to talk about it." But her eyes stayed on whatever was on the page but I wasn't even entirely sure if she was really reading.

"Nothing is up. So no I don't want to talk." She just rolled her eyes, wrapped her fingers around my arm and pulled me towards my office, "What the fuck?"

"Whatever you're trying to pull here is not working."

"Seriously?" No but seriously, also she's deceivingly strong, "Just because I don't want to talk to you means there's something wrong?"

She scoffed, pushing me inside the empty space and slammed my door shut, hitting a button on the wall that instantly dropped the shades so nobody could see inside. I should've known she would be relentless.

"Emma what the fuck is going on? Why are you ignoring me?"

"I'm not ignoring you. I'm talking to you now, aren't I?"

"By force. Why did you hang up on me Emma? I must've called you back like six or seven times." She leaned against my desk crossing one ankle over the other, standing in a leisurely position.

"You called me seven times." I stated, but she didn't react to it. We stood in tense silence after an exasperated sigh left her lips. A few seconds passed and I heard the soft click of heels coming in close. When I finally looked up she was standing less than a foot away, staring at me hard, clearly wanting me to talk and the energy I could feel coming off both us was intense.

I know. I always fucking know when someone wants to fuck me, when someone is interested in me but with her my radar is all over the place.

"Atlas is fine. He's doing much better." I softened my voice just a tad before pressing the button on the shades to lift them up.

"That's great. And what about you? Are you okay?"

"Like I said, I'm fine." Walking around her still body I pulled my chair out to sit down and swivel towards the window where my lovely city view was. A long-tired sigh came out of her mouth again and after a moments hesitation she turned around, placed her palms on my desk and leaned forward, her perfume again sending me into another heady daze and I couldn't help but shift my eyes towards her, taking a peek down her shirt as I did.

"I feel like," she paused and dropped her head, curly hair pulled to the front, "I feel like everything was good until I mentioned that you were my friend at the hospital."

I cut off my emotions from reaching my face, "We need to get something straight." I started, mimicking her position, our faces only inches apart.

"What the fact that you not only do not do girlfriends you also don't do new friends?" She asked, her jaw was protruding from the constant clench of her teeth, "But you do fuck anyone you can get your hands on."

"Who I fuck is none of your business. Friday, you wanted to hang out with me and I wanted to hang out with you. That was all it was. It doesn't make me your friend anymore than fucking you would make me your girlfriend."

An emotion, or something, crossed her face but the mask quickly fell over it, disallowing me to read her body language clearly.

"So, it was nothing? I don't buy that Emma."

"You should. Because it's true. Regina, you and Jim hired me for a job. Don't act like you still plan on seeing me after the election is over. Now, scamper home." I reached over and tapped her wedding ring with my pointer finger, "Your husband is waiting." I whispered, nudging my head towards the space behind her. Whipping her head around she saw what I did; Jim standing by the office door, waiting…almost scowling at her.

What the fuck is his problem?

Confused, wondering eyes met mine. She looked past me for a moment as she bit her lip in thought before turning around and walking out of my office. I mean she can't be serious in thinking that one little hang out meant we were suddenly going to be kicking it every day. Regina is my damn client and the quicker she gets that through her head the better we'll all be.

"They found him in the dumpster behind the Egg and I on 9th Avenue. He was folded in there like last week's mashed potatoes." Ruby took a sip of her beer as she held the pool stick waiting for me to take my shot, filling us in on today's news. Well, me anyway, considering Jefferson, Neal, and Chelsea already knew about this.

"Do they think he's gay?" I asked lining up my shot with the eight ball.

"Well he was in leather pants, a crop top, and had make up and glitter all over his face so it's a good chance that he was." Chelsea added, slapping Ruby's ass as she came up behind her. "They're calling him Dumpster Boy, the police is calling him 'Jane Doe'."

Well, that's fucked up but it doesn't surprise me, not only is the news quick to jump on the shitty name bandwagon they're also known to be dicks. Before I could take my shot with the white ball someone trailed their fingers across my lower back. Turning to look I noticed a hottie with booty shorts, an off the shoulder sweatshirt, and all black Converse. She had a full leg tattoo that sat beautifully on her deep, rich brown skin.

Interest peaked.

"Oh-kay, I know what I'm doing tonight." I said, keeping my eyes on the Hottie, giving each other 'the look' as I walked further down the pool table to stand next to Jefferson and Neal, "What about the rest of you?"

"As usual Emma gets all the beauties while we get to watch." Chelsea whined, leaning into Ruby's side.

"I haven't gotten her yet." I responded, fixing my shirt and ruffling my hair. We exchanged an intense gaze again and I know I've got one foot in the door.

"You just did." Jefferson said in a way that was mixed with awe and envy.

"Wait…how?" Neal pressed.

"It's called The Look." Chelsea started, chugging the rest of her beer and placed her ass near one of the pool pockets. "Have you heard that mysterious gaze that weakens the knees and makes someone's heart flutter?"

"Yea, of course. But that's just shit people say to make others who can't do it feel inferior to their counterpart." Neal stated, not making a point to hide his disdain for that certain group of people. Chuckling to myself I couldn't help but think that a similar response would come out of Regina's mouth.

"Yes and no. It's real and you can learn how to do it. First, you find the object of your desire. Second, devote all of your attention to really seeing them; notice their expression, body language, their clothes. Just take everything about them in." I instructed. It's really that simple, truly, "Though I recommend doing it with someone you already have some sexual tension with, otherwise you might come off a little creepy."

"Unless you're Emma Swan." Chelsea chimed in and Ruby nodded in full agreement, "Then it's 'who gives a fuck what you think you're lucky to be in my vicinity'."

"Hardy-har." I rolled my eyes as I chucked the pool stick on the table and walked towards the bar where Hottie was posted up, taking a spot clear on the other side so I could get a good look at her. She was probably the hottest thing I've seen in quite some time to be honest. Outside of Reg-no…

NO.

I told myself I wouldn't think about her tonight. I even cancelled on Jim because I needed to distance myself from the Vanguards and their persistence in wanting to spend quality time with me. Ugh, I swear it's like we're in a relationship. A drink was placed in front of me and when I looked up the bartender nudged his head towards Hottie who sent me a smirk followed by a sexy wink. Oh yes…

But to my dismay I felt Ruby pop up beside me, "You're on babysitting duty again." She sternly demanded. There was an edge to her voice that brought my gaze to her.

"What?" I questioned, glancing back at Hottie to see her straighten her posture, grab her drink, then walk back into the crowd.

"She's over there and I'm pretty sure she's flirting with Chelsea."

Who is she?

…Bringing my eyes to the gang I saw the very person I've been trying to avoid, and as much as I thought it would bother me, it really didn't, "Oh leave Regina alone, she's fine." She was greeted everyone with a hug and a woman with red curly hair stood behind her.

"Excuse me. The music is so loud in here I thought you said that she was fine." Yeesh, and I thought I hated spending free time with clients from work.

"It's actually kind of…sweet. She just moved here and doesn't know anyone. She's just trying to make some friends. Plus, if Neal and Jefferson work out, we'll probably see her a lot more."

Ruby grunted as I placed my hands on her shoulders, squeezing the muscles then gently placed a kiss on her lips. Glancing back in the crowd my eyes racked across the sea of faces, unable to find the Hottie I was just eye fucking.

"Fuck. Where did she go?" I hissed.

"Where did who go?"

"Who do you think? Shit. She's gone." Narrowing my gaze at Ruby I shot daggers at her, "And it's all your fault. You made me look away." I halfway whined.

Making my way through the crowd I pushed the door to the entrance and stepped out into the cold, fresh air, looking for my current desire. Jogging across the street into oncoming traffic a car slammed on its breaks, honking their horn. Shooting my gaze towards the fuck-faces I now walked at a turtle's pace until I reached the opposite side of the street. Continuing my mission I spun around looking for her but again found nothing.

"Fuck me." I whispered.

"Love to!" A random called as she walked by me. Psh. Gag me. Though she'd probably love to do that to. Spotting Ruby I waved her over and she safely maneuvered through the moving cars.

"I lost her." I was frustrated, I should be halfway to getting eaten out by now.

"Well it's eleven anyway. Time to hit up Banshee." She said after checking her smart watch. Ruby slid her arm across my back and walked me towards the entrance. The line to the club was always down the street and around the corner. Luckily we've held long time memberships and don't have to wait in line. I showed our membership badges to the bouncer as Ruby let go of me to pull out her phone, "I just texted the others and they're on the way."

I nodded, sliding my hand down her arm and held her hand as we walked through the dark hallway seeing the attractive woman dance in the clear windows dressed in cowboys and sailor outfits. We walked through the chain curtain that led to the crowded dance floor and all the go-go dancers were in themed outfits dancing on the cat walks above, some on the railings, others in their own personal cages. They swayed to the beats that revved up the soul under the rainbow of lights that bounced around.

As usual Banshee was a full house, both top and bottom level were filled with people, but I had to make one stop first. I pulled Ruby down to the bathroom, going from stall to stall trying to find one that was open. All ten were locked with the sound of some intense fucking coming from all of them. Frustrated I leaned my head against the middle stall, banging loudly.

"What would you do if you actually had to go." Ruby amusingly questioned just as the stall beside us unlocked.

"Find someone who was into wet work." I replied, aggravated, when out walked a woman who was wiping her nose and sniffing heavily. I let Ruby slip in first then I followed, slamming the door behind me.

Hung up on the wall there was a sign that read: NO SEX IN BATHROOMS! THAT'S WHAT THE COUCHES ARE FOR.

We stood face to face as I pulled out my blue vile filled with my 'trail mix'. Twisting the cap to the left I brought it to my nose taking not one, not two, but three bumps of the mescaline then handed it to Ruby.

"Be careful, it's strong."

She nodded, inhaling and I couldn't help but grin, oh tonight it going to be amazing.

"Nice." She murmured, bringing her hands to my waist and leaned her forehead against mine. Yea, it felt really good.

"I got this from August." I let my eyes close, feeling the mescaline work its way through my body, giving me a very much needed buzz.

"He can get anything. He got me that unedited version of Too Wong Foo. And also, that Superman episode with George Reeves. It was the only one that was ever shot in color. So ancient that you can even see the strings when they do stunts."

"Oh Ruby…you are so-"

"Pathetic…" Her words slurred as she grinned into my cheek, her smooth lips caressing the skin, "I know."

We shared a laugh as we lightly grazed our fingers over one another's arm. Her touch felt like it was all over me, heating up every part of exposed skin. I don't know where August got this from but he needs to keep this supplier, "Come on. Let's check out the bar. Maybe that woman you made me lose is there."

"I didn't make you lose anyone." She teased and then laughed.

We shared a passionate, long hug before I opened the stall and let her slip out of it first.

"Baby!" She shouted over the noise of others making out and fucking, "Oh, hey Regina." Shit.

I shut the door to the stall and rested my shoulder against it. She is damn persistent. "Hey. Um, I'm looking for someone. Have you seen Emma?"

"I could've guessed that." I heard Chelsea deadpan.

"Honey, everyone's looking for Emma." Ruby added, and I couldn't love her more than I do right now. "She's probably out near the bar."

Once I heard the sound of footsteps retreating I slipped out the stall and headed to the other exit, into the mass of sweaty moving bodies. I felt a hand grab my ass and turned around quickly to see if it was one of my friends, but it was hard to tell in the swarm of gyrating bodies. But I soon heard my name being called and looking in the direction Jefferson come up beside me.

"Did you find her yet?"

"No not-" But before I could finish the sentence I saw Hottie dancing right in front of me with a coy grin spreading across her face, "Target sited. All systems go. See ya later, Jeffy." Pushing myself away from him I glided to Hottie, stepping only inches away from her body. Leaning over I let my lips barely brush across her ear as I whispered my classic pick up line, smiling once I felt her shiver. This was the way of Banshee; in here we get what we crave and that is total permission to feel elation, to feel the sort of bond that we are denied in the coldness of the streets outside. Immediately we began moving our hips against one another. Just as we started dancing I saw another attractive woman who was grooving by herself. Hottie Number One and I turned our head to Hottie Number Two. I waved her over, but she shook her head no.

The song began to switch over and the trail mix I bumped began to really work its magic. God I love this song.

Ready or not, I'll be coming

Here's a head start if you try running

Soon I'm gonna get what I want

If you're ready or not, ready or not

Finally, she conceded and danced her way over allowing me to whisper sweet words in her ear, stepping behind me so I could be the meat in a delicious Hottie sandwich. I heard my gang of friends shout excitedly over the music. They were probably posted up on the second floor, resting on the railing scoping out the crowd. From my peripheral another person entered the dance floor and she was letting her body become a slave to the music.

I'm gonna wear down your resistance

You're gonna give into my persistence

You know that I'll never stop

If you're ready or not

Hottie Number One's attention began to fall off me and onto the person dancing off beside us. Hell no. I grabbed her chin and brought her gaze back to me but her eyes still fell over my shoulder and pretty soon she was leaving me to go dance with her. Ignoring that flub I tuned in on Hottie Number Two who was also looking at the dancer beside us. When I turned my head to see who it was I couldn't help but growl under my breath.

I'm gonna wear down your resistance

You're gonna give into my persistence

You know that I'll never stop

If you're ready, ready, ready

Ready or Not, Yeah!

Fucking Regina.

She was in red boots, black skinny jeans, a white crop top that stopped just under bra showing her full mid-drift and her wavy, long hair flew as she whipped her head around. Finally, or not finally, her eyes fell on me and a cocky smirk pulled the corner of her mouth up as she moved her hips into Hottie One.

Wait a minute. Is she doing this on purpose?

Is she really going through this length just to get my attention?

My question was answered when she Hottie Number Two moved to dance with her, leaving me stand there like a boob, lightly grooving to the fantastic beat by myself. Now she was the meat in the Hottie sandwich and I was the pickle you left to the end. But hey she wanted my attention now she's got it. Slowly I walked to them when her back was turned and stuck my arms in between the small gaps that were left between Hottie One and Two, gently pushing them away and now it was just Regina and I.

"Care for a dance?" I asked, when Regina turned around, flashing me a wide smile.

"So you do know I exist." She jokingly said as she turned her back to me, reached for my hands and put them on her waist.

Regina's hips began to slowly grind against me and I couldn't help but moan softly. The smell of her was intoxicating and if I wasn't careful I was going to make a big mistake. She dipped low then came back up when the DJ began to change the song. Her hair whipped and hit my in the face as she tossed me a look over her shoulder, our lips so close.

"What do you say?" she suddenly asked.

"I'm sorry?"

Regina spun around, lazily laying her arms over my shoulders and intertwining her hands behind my neck, letting her fingers brush against the smooth skin. Our bodies flush against one another and her face was close. Too close. Still our hips grinded against one another and right on beat.

"Twice I saw you lean over and whisper something in both of their ear's. What do you say?"

My body burned wherever she touched and the growing need to fuck her in the back room became stronger and stronger. I wanted her. But she's obviously never been into women, though you wouldn't know it by the way she was dancing against me. Plus I don't want to be anybody's first. That's too much pressure.

But a little a fun never hurt.

Letting a coyote like smile cross my lips, I slid my hands up to her exposed, warm skin. God it was so soft. What does she moisturize with? Her eyebrows raised as she tried to fight her eyes from rolling to the back of her head. So it does feel nice to her…That's good to know. Pressing her body fully flush against mine I tilted my head down, letting my lips brush against her ear.

She wanted me to say it, so I am going to give her the full experience.

Goosebumps rose on her hot skin and I smirked, feeling her shudder against my body, "I've been watching you…" I paused, letting a shaky breath escape from my mouth, "You make me want to…Fuck. All. Night." Pulling back I noticed how red her face was, her parted full lips begging to be kissed.

Just do it. Just do it. Just-

"Regina!"

Fuuuuuuuuuuuck!

Turning her head the woman that she came with walked over to us, "I'm ready to go." She mumbled, I guess her night wasn't as successful.

"What for? We just got here." Her voice was now husky and a little deep, like she had just woken up from a pleasant nap.

"I know but I'm bored. Plus," the woman with wild red hair stared me down in the most unkind way. "You're my ride home."

Regina sighed, letting one of her arms slip off my shoulder and ran it through her hair, tossing it over to the side. Her eyes met mine and an apologetic look melted over her features, "I'm sorry." She mumbled to me, "Looks like I have to go," Pushing herself up on her toes she gently cupped behind my neck, pulled me towards her and placed a soft kiss on my cheek, "I'll see you soon, friend." She turned and walked through the crowd, leaving an awful ache in the center of my chest.
