Haiku spent two years with Louds and thanks to one white-haired boy, these were the best years of her life. So now Goth is ready to thank him for it
Haiku's intuition hadn't disappointed her again, and her life had really improved since she officially became part of the Loud family. Of course, this was the merit of the whole family of it, but honestly, the goth had to admit that Lincoln had the biggest role in it. After all, he was almost like an older brother that she never had, and frankly, for everything he did, this title was really deserved for him
The first such situation took place less than a year after the move, and more precisely on her birthday. Normally, Haiku would spend the day with her parents doing whatever she liked. One year ago, for example, they'd been playing all day being a vampire family, and even before that, they'd made a haunted places trip. However, for an obvious reason, this year was different and for her, it was the straw that broke the camelback. All because she could no longer deny and had to admit that she missed them. It means, s of course, she loved them, they were her parents after all, but honestly, she never really felt a connection with them. In fact, in the last five years she Haiku even felt that they were slowly becoming strangers to her, or so she had thought until her birthday.
This day she was in an even worse mood than normal, but it wasn't strange. After all, that day was the middle of autumn, and the rainy and windy weather didn't fill me with optimism. However, that wasn't the reason for her bad mood, as a goth would normally love to walk in the rain and think about life.
However, this time, as she walking home and thought about life, she was not really happy. All because she was sure that no one would remember her birthday and even if it would never be as special as the one made by her parents. Especially with all the amazing party they did and all gifts, she got from them. Well, one such gift was a black umbrella with a spider-web pattern that she was using now, and its sight made her nostalgic. For this reason and because was sure this birthday would be the worst, she walked with her head down. She was just sure that this will be her worst birthday and probably spent it waiting for dinner in her and Lucy's room. Or At least she thought so until as she opened the door and heard a loud shout "All gloomy and scary birthday, Haiku"
Exactly this time, to her joy, her intuition failed her, and someone really remembered that day. Well, seeing Lincoln's smug smile, the girl guessed it was him, and she really wanted to thank him. Especially since it was a real gothic party, and the living room looked like a vampire castle's ballroom and it really made her touched. All because the sight reminded her of some of the previous birthdays her parents had given her.
And This, in turn caused the gloomy girl for the first time for a long time felt tears in the corners of her eyes and a strong need to cry. Well, the latter was so strong that Haiku was unable to thank him for his effort and could only run away to cry for her parents. Needless to say that then she just wanted to be alone and that's why she went to the old playground with always was her favorite place. Everything because here was her first gothic birthday and besides it was a place where she always came to clear her mind. And that's why just after arrived she sat on the old swing to think about her parent. Or at least it was her plans until she realized that she just escaped from her birthday and probably made Lincoln guilty of it. That's why Haiku quickly changed her plans and was ready to come back and explain everything. However, it turned out not necessary cause suddenly someone sat on the adjacent swing and asked:
- Hey, Haiku, are you okay?
- Lincoln? asked the amazed Goth because he wasn't expecting him here. -Wow, my dark heart is amazed to see you here.
-I just wanted to make sure everything was alright, and Lucy told me you like to come here to think. - The boy explained, then looked at her with a smile and asked, -Then why did you run away like that?
-If your heart is worried that it's because of you, don't worry, just today I felt a real emptiness after two important people for me. - The gloomy girl calmed him down.
- Do you miss your parents? - the boy guessed, and the Goth just nodded, then sighed and apologized, - I'm sorry about that, Lucy just told me they were throwing you such parties and I wanted to do something nice for you.
- Don't worry, Lincoln, it wasn't your fault. - The girl said, giving him a shadow of a smile and added: - Even in my wildest dreams, I couldn't have expected that they were so important to me.
- It's not so strange after all they are your parents. - Lincoln stated.
- You are right, I just never felt that our souls are really connected to each other, but apparently, it was different. - The girl stated and then swinging gently and looking at the sand added: - - Now I just regret that I can't change the past and spend more time with them
- Hey, isn't so bad. - The boy replied placing a hand on her back in a comforting gesture and adding: - Maybe you can't change the past, but still, you can start spending more time with them.
- Your words are filled by wisdom but only the demons know how to do it. - Haiku agreed, grabbing the chains of swing, and swinging gently.
- So, from today on, you can call me Behecoln because I think you can still talk online. - The boy joked.
- Although I wish it were that simple, unfortunately, I don't believe time will allow us. - Goth stated depressed and added: - After all their lives paths are controlled by work
- You know I think you worry unnecessarily; you are their daughter after all, and I bet they will find time for you. - The boy stated
- What if not or they will not want to talk with me after all the cycles of the moon when I ignored them? - Haiku asked unconvinced and worry.
- Well, you can still doubt, or you can try and found it out. - He replied
- You are right doubts will not help me I must try if I wanna be calm in my dark heart. - Gloomy girl agreed and also smiling added: - Thank you for showing me a little light in my dark torment
- I'm glad I could help. - The boy replied standing up from the swing and offering her hand added, - So what are you ready to come back to?
- Definitely. - Haiku agreed to take her hand.
- So, let's go before they eat the whole chocolate cake. - The boy replied.
- Chocolate cake? - Goth asked.
-Yes, with vanilla cream and with the strawberry sauce which looks like blood. - Lincoln clarified.
- Why didn't you start with it, my dark soul must taste this delicacy immediately. - Goth stated, really excited, and grabbing the boy's hand pulled him toward the home.
The second of such a situation had a place at the beginning of this year when Haiku and he went to a new school. Unfortunately, quickly his white hair and her gothic and outsider attitude became the object of mockery. However, when the boy pretty quickly changed this fact by making good friendships even with more popular kids, Goth stayed a school outcast. Luckily, Lincoln made sure that no of his friend would never tease her. Obviously, it didn't mean that they were her friend but at least weren't her bullies. Well, Haiku was more than grateful for it, but it didn't change fact that not everybody was his friends. Unfortunately for her, the same was true for the three popular, rich, and mean girls who found out joy and satisfaction in humiliating and bullying her.
Haiku just couldn't remember one day without taking her backpack, destroying her work, and cruel comments about her appearance. This wasn't even a problem for her, as a goth, she very often was the victim of the bullies and normally just wait when they got bored of her. It's just a shame that Janice, Melisa, and Cindy not only seemed to didn't do it but even finding more ways to turn her life into hell. And if it weren't the worst she couldn't even report or opposite them. Everything because She just knew that the director who was in their parents' pockets would just acquit them, and then it would only get worse. Of course, she could always just ask Lincoln for help but honestly didn't want to draw him into her problems. That's why in silence she withstood their bullying hoping that with time they got bored of her. Unfortunately, the chances for this were smaller and smaller, because all three of them, feeling untouchable, only got crueler. In this way, what started as simply pushing, mocking, and stealing things changed into beating and cruel jokes. However, the Goth tried to hide it anyway, but it soon proved impossible, because, in the end, Lincoln found her beaten and crying.
In short, the boy forced her to confess what happened and she did it cause was already tired. She also admitted that she hid this, not wanting to involve him in her problems, which ended up scolding her for such folly. Everything because in his opinion they may not have been family, but there was still his sister and her problems were his problem too. Well hearing this last, the girl hugged him and then he promised her to fix it, but she begged him not to do it. She just knew that their self-defense classes meant that he would have no chance in combat and attempts to report them was impossible. However, Lincoln tapping his temple with his finger assured her that he would only use his strongest muscle. Well seeing this, Haiku realized that her brother had another of his plans, which only got better with time, and smiled with hateful satisfaction. Goth just knew that really hard times are waiting for her three bullies and she was going to be there to watch it.
Well, her suspicions were quickly confirmed but even she did not expect what happened. In short with help of her and other victims of the bullying he collected enough evidence to make impossible to hide it. . This in turn caused them to be expelled from school, but that was not the end. Her stepbrother also made sure that their social life was destroyed, and Haiku was more than pleased with it. Especially that she was this one who pulled them into a trap that covered them with pig's blood and dead bugs and tar. Needless to say, it made those who saw it burst out laughing and the videos of the incident quickly went viral, humiliating them forever. Unfortunately, not everything ended well and the director who came cause of the whole noise and saw everything wasn't happy. And because of that, Lincoln, who was the culprit of all this, was punished by a one-month suspension from the student's rights. This, of course, made Goth feel guilty about it but Lincoln promised her that he didn't blame her. Besides as he stated on his own it was a really low price for her eternal calm and freedom from the bullying. And This was not an exaggeration, because after that no one dared to harass or intimidate her, for fear that she would end up like those girls.
However, even that was nothing, to what Lincoln did just a few months ago when she almost missed a big poetry competition. All because at the same time she got so much homework and exams that she didn't have time to prepare for it. That was especially awful for her cause this competition was important to her, so Goth felt really disheartened about it. Well, it quickly was noticed by her stepbrother who got the truth out of her and this time Haiku easily told him everything. This was how Lincoln got to know her dream of becoming a poet and the hope she had in this competition.
Then the Gloomy girl burst into tears of helplessness, and he had to comfort and reassure her for the next few minutes. However, the boy didn't stop there, and when she finally stopped crying, he offered to help her. Of course, she was more than grateful even excited for it, but her mood worsened again as she remembered that she would not have time. Well needless to say that right now, the girl was really ready to give up and wait for a new chance, but Lincoln wasn't going to do it. Instead, he offered to do her homework and help her learn, which she found really nice but refused to accept. After all, he was fed up with his own school affairs and it doing her too wasn't his duty. Well, at least she thought so until the boy proved that he wasn't, and helping her was not a duty but a pleasure. This finally convinced the goth, who agreed to his offer, and then things went easy.
Thanks to him, she had enough time to thought about her poems, and it wasn't just because the boy did her homework. It was equally important that being with so many talented sisters gave him a certain artistic sensitivity. That turned out enough to help her find rhymes, improve her poems, and even give her some brilliant ideas which she easily accepted., After all that it was mostly if not always really, good ideas, and Haiku was just really grateful for them.
Especially that mainly thanks to them she not only won but also, she did it with such an advantage that her rivals didn't stand a chance. Needless to say, that even for her seemed to be impossible until the moment when at the stage she got the first-place price. And it was the next moment when gloomy girl felt lucky and again thanks to Lincoln who burned the midnight oil to help her. Cause of it just after the competition she came to him and offered to repay him for help. However, the boy refused her, stating that it was not necessary, and she accepted it only with a bit of complaint. Then they joined the family to celebrate her victory in the restaurant where Haiku shared dessert with him as a small prize for his help
Obviously, such or even better moments were more, and goth really could have a problem with count all of them. All because Lincoln helped her, supported her, looked after her, or comforted her so often that he might as well be her real brother. Well, actually she very often regretted that it wasn't like that because for her his photo should be next to the dictionary definition of a brother. However equally often, she was grateful for it because she couldn't help but let him create another ray of light in her cold and dark heart. Only this in contrast to this Lucy's one was stronger because was made by love. Exactly with time Haiku finally found love in somebody else than a fictional vampire. Which, considering his good heart was not so strange. In fact, if they would canonize while life, Lincoln would probably luck into and besides, he has grown into a pretty good-looking guy as well. He was definitely not muscular or anything like that. However, his white hair, smile, and a few other things made him attract the attention of girls Unfortunately for Goth it also meant that it was hard found a moment when he was single and now was one of these moments. For this reason, now, she was behind the ventilation grille to his bedroom and gathering her courage to went in to confess her love. Well needless to add that she very often wanted to withdraw but finally, she decided that it's now or never. Then she with a sighed, slowly pushed grille out, and silently crawled inside.
