Skywarp.

The Joint Investigation Unit had investigated his case with great effort and had finally uncovered his identity.

With an identity, they had been able to find him in their systems and more information could be provided about him.

His age.

And the date of his disappearance.

It provided them with the exact time he had spent living in slavery.

Skywarp looks up from the datapad containing the data-file of his upcoming transfer to a rehabilitation facility.

His gaze lingers on the clinical white walls of his recovery room before it turns to the wide window by his side and the blue sky.

Everything around him is just so surreal and his processor fights to make sense of it all.

It is still like a dream.

For the first time in a very long time he is free of pain and his wings are functioning again.

He has yet to be allowed to fly, but the knowledge that it will happen once he is ready for it already eases some of the stress on his spark.

The door to his recovery room unlocks and his primary physician enters.

"How are you feeling today, Skywarp?" Override asks as he walks into the room, carrying an IV bag connected with a long line with a short needle at the end in his hand.

"I'm fine," Skywarp murmurs and turns his attention back to the datapad while Override connects the IV bag to the machine beside the berth.

The physician's behavior is innocent enough, but something draws Skywarp's attention when Override activates the machine controlling the rate at which the fluid flows from the IV bag.

Override is nervous.

"Are you okay?" He asks with a frown, looking at the physician.

"Yeah, I'm fine," Override says calmly. "I heard that you are ready to be released soon. We only need a few more examinations before we can send you on your way."

Override moves around to Skywarp's side of the berth and inserts the needle in the medical connector on the seeker's lower arm. Used to the procedure, Skywarp allows it and ignores the tiny sting as it connects with his systems.

The fluid inside the IV drip starts to flow, and he is distantly aware of Override taking a few careful steps back.

Numbness starts to creep into his awareness and he looks up in alarm at the physician.

"What-...?!" The anesthetic is rapidly taking effect on his systems, and he stumbles out of the berth in a desperate attempt to grab for Override, his optics full of fear, betrayal and WHY as he looks at the physician, who easily evades his attack. He falls heavily to the floor when his knees buckle, unable to carry him as everything inside him turns numb, and his awareness slips away completely moments later.

"I hate how we need to do it this way," Override sighs when the rest of the medical team join him inside Skywarp's recovery room.

A gurney gets pushed into the room and they strap the unconscious seeker securely on it, preparing him for transport.

Should Skywarp wake up prematurely, he can't do any harm with the restraints fixating him.

"Transport inbound." A nurse calls through the doorway, and they hurry to the elevators. They emerge on the roof just as the medical transport lands on the landing platform at the top of the hospital and wait at a safe distance while the powerful tiltrotors slowly come to a stop.

When the pilot has confirmed his identity and destination, documents are signed before he gets entrusted with the official release document signed by Prowl.

A collective sigh leaves the medical team when the medical transport takes off.

At least the carriers get the choice of being anesthetized, but they are also usually more informed and have often already spoken with their mentor at the rehabilitation facility they have chosen.

Megatron stands on the tarmac outside the rehabilitation facility when the medical transport lands within the strictly militarized zone where D-14 is located a few hours later.

Echo is standing beside him, the psychologist's gaze alternating between the medical transport and the datapad held in her hand that contains all of the information the psychiatric team that has treated Skywarp has gathered on the seeker.

"Thundercracker is going to be okay."

Megatron looks down at the psychologist, arching an inquiring optical ridge.

"How can you be so sure?" He asks skeptically.

"I have run simulations with him the last few days, and he has gradually improved his Gender-interaction score." Echo answers, looking up at Megatron with a gentle smile.

"You and I both know that a simulation is far from reality. Thundercracker is putting himself at great risk of suffering panic attacks by taking on this client, and it can turn out bad for the both of them if he isn't up to the task." Megatron adds with a frown, displeased at the situation.

"I know the risks, Megaton, but Thundercracker is finally ready to work with his last remaining trauma. I'm not saying it will be easy, but it is good for him to take this step in his recovery process. And it is a clear sign of the positive progress he has undergone while he has been here."

Without giving Megatron the chance to comment further, Echo moves towards the medical transport as a group of security guards unloads its delicate cargo.

Skywarp is still under the effect of the anesthetic, and Echo silently follows the security guards into the rehabilitation facility's detention center and towards the isolation rooms.

It is not ideal, but a necessary security precaution until they have assessed the new client's state of mind.
