Clone forces rally! As the war escalates in the Outer Rim, the Jedi Knights are spread thinly across the galaxy. Jedi Generals John Bertrand, Anakin Skywalker, and Obi Wan Kenobi lead the clone forces in the hunt for General Grievous. Many new clones are rushed into service to support their Jedi generals. Unfortunately, because of the relentless demands of battle, many young clones must join the struggle before their intensive training has been completed. These clones, manning a vital network of tracking stations, are all that stand between the Republic and invasion…

On the Rishi Moon in the Rishi Sector, a clone named CT-327 walked out onto the platform and scanned the area before reporting into the station and he said as he looked through his binocular visor, "This is the deck officer checking in. Nothing going on…as usual." while a Clone listened to CT-327, Hologram of a Droid was on and she said, "You're listening to the Grand Army of the Republic, the voice of the Outer Rim. This next one goes out to the mudjumpers of the 224th, Slugging it out on Mimban. Keep your heads down and your seals tight, boys."

Two clones were armwrestling and one trooper one. He laughed and said, "Yes!" This clone was called CT-782 also known as Hevy to his brothers. Hevy then said, "Ha! Who's next? Fives?" that was when Clone CT-1409, callsign Echo said, "Uh… shouldn't you be watching your scope Hevy?" and Hevy said, "Yeah, let's take a look." Looking at his scope he saw nothing, so he said, "Hmm, what do you know? All clear, just like the last hundred times I looked at it." Then Clone CT-5555, callsign fives said, "Personally, I like that it's so quiet out here. I can catch up on the Reg Manuals."

"Echo what is wrong with you? We should be out on the front lines blasting Droids." Hevy said to Echo. Another Clone said, "Ah, Leave him alone. They kept him in his Growth jar too long." his brothers agreed and chuckled as Echo went back to reading the Reg Manuals." Then Hevy looked at fives and said, "You may not realize it yet, Fives, but you landed on the most boring Post in the outer Rim." that was when the clone commander of the station they were in, CT-0909, Sergeant O'Niner, walked up the stairs as Hevy spoke and when Hevy finished, O'Niner added, "And one of the most important."

The clone sitting near Hevy pressed a button as Echo said, "Attention Sergeant on deck!" and the clones went to attention. O'Niner then told them at ease as he went on to explain things to them, that even though they were all new, he shouldn't have to remind them that the quadrant they were in was key to the Outer Rim. He told them that if the droids were to get past their station, they could surprise-attack the cloning facilities, where they were all born, on their homeworld of Kamino, the closest thing they had to a home.

"There are some Officers on the way, so I want everything squared away from Inspection. Understood?" O'niner finished his small speech and his troopers said, "Sir, yes, sir." Meanwhile, with the main battle fleet, fighters flew by on patrol as Jedi General Obi wan looked out the window before walking to join ANakin at the holotable and he asked, "Still here Anakin? When was the last time you slept?"

"I'll sleep after we find General Grievous." Anakin commented as John and Ash walked in with a Datapad in the former's hand. Obi Wan looked at them and said, "News on the… what are you calling it now?" John told him, "The Arceus and Repairs are running smoothly and we should have her soon. Any update on Grievous?" Anakin replied by saying, "Clone Intelligence spotted him in the Balmorra System. That was weeks ago, since then he vanished." That was when Obi Wan commented, "Well, unlike you, maybe he's getting some much-needed rest." R2 agreed with Obi Wan, but John shook his head and said, "No he doesn't need to rest Master Kenobi, he blames the Jedi and the senate for what happened to his people. That fuels him and his anger." That was when Admiral Yularen got their attention by saying, "Excuse me, General. Incoming Transmission from Commander Cody." When Yularen patched Cody through, he was at ease when he said, "General Kenobi, General Skywalker, General Bertrand, Admiral Ketchum."

"Cody, how goes the inspections?" Obi wan asked his Clone commander, to which Cody said, "The Tracking Station at Pastil is Fully Operational, Commander Nitro, Captain Rex and I are proceeding to the outpost in the Rishi System." Obi wan said that was good and told COmmander Cody to report back when they arrived. Commander Cody, "Copy that, Cody out." before ending the Transmission.

"Good man, that Cody." Obi Wan said to those listening. John then looked over and said, "Don't worry Anakin, if General Grievous comes anywhere Near this Quadrant, we'll know about it." Obi Wan looked at John and said, "You took the words out of my mouth." Smiling, John walked off and contacted Commander Nitro. Back on the Rishi moon, urgent alarms were going off for a Meteor shower heading their way and when Echo told O'Niner, he replied, "Raise the Shield."

"You wanted Excitement, Hevy." A clone labeled CT-4040 but called Cutup told his brother, and Hevy replied, "Right…" and in a Sarcastic tone, "ooh, Meteor Shower." but unbeknownst to the clones in the listening post, among the meteors were several Droch-class boarding ships. When the hatches opened, several BX-series commando droids came out of them. As CT-327 did his patrol, he spotted one. But before he could report it in, one BX-series commando droid popped up and caught him off guard as another Commando Droid electrocuted him from behind. They then took his body and hid it before heading to the front entrance. At the front Entrance, the BX-series droid commando captain said to another Commando Droid, "Get these doors open." the droid he spoke to said, "Roger Roger." Before pulling off a side panel to hack into the door.

"CT-327, Report in. Sentry, do you copy?" said O'niner into his commlink. That was when Cuttup suggested that it was interference from the Meteor shower before Fives said, "I don't see him down there Sarge." O'Niner then assigned CT-2010 called Droidbait and a Clone named Nub to go find CT-327. Right after the Commando Droids got the Door open, Droidbait and Nub got to the bottom of the stairs and Nub shouted, "Droids!" before the Commando Droids gunned them both down. The blaster fire drew the attention of the other clones as O'Niner was the first down the stairs to exchange in a fire fight.

"Sound the Alarm!" O'Niner told Hevy as he shot a Commando droid. Hevy tried before reporting, "They disabled the Beacon." as Two commando Droids got closer. The rest of the clones got to the top as O'Niner said, "Get a Message to the Fleet! We have to warn -Ah!" as he got shot in the knee, turning to try and fire, a Commando droid smacked the DC-15S Blaster Carbine out of his hand as three Commando Droids shot him at point blank Range.

"Sarge!" shouted Hevy as he, Echo, Fives, and Cutup, made a run for it as the commando Droids opened fire more. Cutup closed the door and tore out the wiring before saying, "That should slow those buckets down." Fives pulled off a grate as he said, "This way, hurry!" Hevy wanted to stay and fight, but Cutup said, "There's too many." and Hevy ran to the vent as the droids got the door open and he pulled the grate to make it look like it wasn't touched, as the commando Droids broke in and took control. Once Commando Droid walked over to the BX-series droid commando captain and said, "Four clones Escaped, Captain." but the BX-series droid commando captain said, "they don't matter. Hard-wire the all-clear Signal and contact General Grievous."

With the Separatist Fleet, General Grievous stood in a Munificent-Class Frigate talking to the BX-series droid commando captain as he said, "The Outpost is secure, General. We shut down the alarm and turned on the all-clear Signal." Grievous said, "Excellent. Keep that signal alive. I don't want the Republic to find out we're coming." When the transmission to the BX-series droid commando captain ended, a B1 Battledroid commander said, "General, our spy on Kamino is making contact."

When the spy appeared, it was Asajj Ventress and she said, "All the Preparations for your invasion are in order." Grievous said that was good and that their fleet was approaching the system and were almost at the Rendezvous point." Asajj then replied, "Very good, my lord. I will await your arrival." Grievous then said, "The destruction of Kamino will stop their production of clones for good."

Meanwhile, Rex, Cody, and Nitro were on their way to the Rishi Station in the Nu-class attack/transport shuttle called the Obex were heading to the Rishi Station as COmmander Nitro said, "I understand sir." he ended the transmission as they got closer and Commander Cody said, "Rishi Outpost, this is Commander Cody. Do you copy? Rishi Outpost Please respond." Nitro listened to the conversation when Cody got a clone who said, "Sorry Commander. We're, um, experiencing Technical Difficulties." Cody told the clone, "This is the inspection Team." The clone on the other end said, "Inspection? Negative, negative. We, uh, do not require an inspection. Everything is fine here. Thank you."

After Cody said that they would be the judge of that and told them to prepare for their arrival, the clone said, "roger, roger." Before ending the call. That was when Captain Rex said, "Something's not right here." but Commander Cody said, "Well good luck. I'm putting you in charge of this one." But Commander Nitro knew already that the Rishi base was taken over by Droids, just like his general said. He rubbed the scar where he got the inhibitor chip removed from as his legion and the other two legions all had them removed and told the truth. From then they swore to protect the Jedi Order.

Back on the moon, Hevy, Fives, Echo, and Cutup all got out of the vent and onto the ground outside. Heading along the path, Hevy was in front leading them as Fives asked what were they going to do now without the sarge. That was when Echo said, "The Reg Manual says the next…" but Hevy stopped him and them from moving when they heard Air whooshing by and Hevy asked if anyone else heard that as Cutup said, "that doesn't sound like Droids."

"Don't forget those giant Eels" Hevy said to Fives. And Fives said, "Yeah, I've never seen-" right before one of those Giant Eels grabbed Cutup, much to the horror of his brothers. Hevy pulled out his DC-17 hand blaster and blasted the Eel as it took Cutup away. Hevy then asked, "what the hell was that?!" Echo told him, "Uh, that was an Eel. Now, that's why we have the Regulation not to go outside." Then Hevy said, "Let's move before it comes back." they all moved as Echo sighed and said, "Poor Cutup."

Unbeknownst to them, the Eel took Cutup to someone and dropped him off. The mysterious man thanked the eel and pulled Cutup to his feet and asked if he was alright. Cutup, shaken, said, "yeah… I think so. Who are you?" the mystery man said, "Fear not Cutup, I am on your side. But you must come with me now." not having many options, Cutup nodded his head and followed the Mysterious man.

Back outside, the sound of an engine whirring was heard. Fives looked up and said, "Look, it's Commander Cody. It's the inspection Team." Soon, the clone commanders landed on the platform, the ramp went down and out walked Rex, Cody, and Nitro. Cody said, "This is not good, I don't see the deck officer anywhere." then Nitro said, "If what my general said is correct Cody, we may not find him at all." Soon the doors opened and a clone came out as Cody said, "I got a bad feeling about this."

"Welcome to Rishi, Commander." said the clone that came out and walked to the three Clone Commanders. He then said, "As you can see, the outpost is operating at peak efficiency. Thank you for visiting, and have a safe trip back." Rex and Cody looked at each other before Nitro said, "we need to inspect the base just the same." but the clone said, "Uh, there is no need. Everything is fine and fully Operational." That was when Nitro said, "ok then… tell us your commander's birth number." Rex and Cody looked at him as the clone said, "our Commander's birth Number… Why would you need that?"

"So I can buy them enough time." Said Nitro before a flare shot up and Cody said, "A droid attack flare?" Suddenly, Nitro blasted the Clone in his head at point Blank range and Cody said, "Woah! Nitro! What the heck are you doing?" Nitro said, "Easy commander." before pulling the helmet off and revealing a commando Droid. Rex and Cody were shocked as Nitro said, "That flare was from the survivors." That was when they got ambushed by the other commando Droids and both sides exchanged fire with one droid taking several hits but came back up, making Cody say, "these clankers have tough Armor."

Nitro then threw Droid poppers out and shut down several before they threw Detonators at them and Rex shouted, "OFF THE PLATFORM!" and afterwards there was an explosion that took out the Obex and covered Rex, Nitro, and Cody dropping cables down to hang over the side and fool the commando Droids into thinking they were pulverized. As the droids headed back into the station, Rex, Nitro, and Cody all slid down cable to the bottom and Rex said, "Well, that sure complicates things, commander." looking at the wreck of their shuttle. Rex then said, "No worse than that time on Tibrin."

"We had Jedi with us on Tibrin. They helped." Cody said to Rex as he held his hand up and pointed to three clones heading their way. The commanders pointed their blasters at them and Rex said, "Hands above your heads. Take your sun Bonnets off." the three clones raised their hands as Echo said "Uh, sir?"

"Take them off! NOW!" demanded Rex. so they did, revealing their clone faces. As the commanders lowered their blasters, the Rishi eel bursted out of the earth. Captain Rex, being the quick draw he was, blasted it in the eye, killing it. Going over to the dead eel, Rex took his helmet off as Fives said that was a good shot. Dipping his hand in the Eel's blood, Rex replied, "The name's Rex…" he then stood up as he added, "but you'll call me "Captain" or "sir "." the three rookies stood at attention and said, "Sir, yes, sir!" Commander Cody then introduced himself as their new boss and Nitro. The first of the rookies to speak was Fives and he said, "My trooper designation is Trooper 27-5555, sir."

"We call him Fives. I'm Hevy. This is Echo." Hevy said as he introduced himself and Echo. When Nitro asked where the sergeant-in-command was, Echo said, "Dead, sir. We're all that's left." Rex then walked over to them as he said, "Looks like we got us a batch of shinies, Commanders." Afterwards, Echo asked, "Shinies, sir?" and Rex replied, "That's right. Your armor, it's shiny and new, just like you." as he placed his hand covered in blood on Echo's chest plate and left a hand mark on it. Then Hevy said, "Sir, me and my batchers are trained and ready. We'll take back our post, shiny or not." that made Captain Rex Smirk before saying, "There's hope for you yet, rookie."

In the Republic fleet, Admiral Yularen was having trouble contacting Commander Cody, Nitro, and Captain Rex. That was when Obi-wan said, "They should have checked in from the Rishi station hours ago." Then John said, "Which means it could be under attack, General Kenobi, let me take my men to investigate it." But Obi wan said, "I'm sorry John, but we need you here helping us find Grievous." That was when Anakin told Admiral Yularen to let him know when he heard from Rex. Admiral Yularen nodded his head and as the two Jedi walked off, John looked at Admiral Yularen and said, "That goes the same for Nitro, Admiral Yularen. But I want to make one thing clear, anything gets to the supreme chancellor about me and my men, and I find out it's from you, you better watch out."

"What are you implying, master Bertrand?" Admiral Yularen asked John, who said to him, "I know you are close allies to the Supreme Chancellor and I know what will become of you. I want to make sure you know that I know." Admiral Yularen saw the hatred in John's eyes and nodded his head. John then walked off and tried to contact Nitro but couldn't seem to get a signal. He cursed in his head and used the force to calm himself.

Back on Rishi, Captain Rex, Commander Cody, Commander Nitro, and the shinies were climbing the rock face under the outpost to get back in it. Reaching a ledge, Rex said, "Look sharp rookies. As long as those Tweezers occupy this post, our home planet of Kamino is at risk." He then handed his DC-15S Blaster Carbine to Echo as Cody handed his DC-15S Blaster Carbine to Hevy and Nitro handed his DC-15S Blaster Carbine to fives while Echo said, "But there's so many of them." but Commander Nitro said, "doesn't matter kid. We have to retake this base, so we will retake this base." The shinies prepared for battle as Cody looked at Nitro and asked, "How do you propose we get through those blast doors then?"

"I have a few Ideas." Said Nitro before telling them the plan. Inside the base, three commando Droids were at the door when one asked, "what is that?" on a screen he saw Captain Rex walking like a droid up to the door as the others hid out of sight. The commando Droid then pressed a button before saying, "Unit 2-6, is that you?" After the Scanner poked out, Rex said, "Roger, roger." The Commando droid then said, "You sound Strange. Is something wrong with your Vocabulator?" Again Rex said, "Roger, roger." as he pretended to fix his "vocabulator". Then the Commando Droid told him to take off his helmet and he wanted to see his face plate. For a third time, Rex said, "Roger, roger." before ducking down and showing the head of an already taken out Commando Droid.

"This is never gonna work." said Cody right before the commando droid opened the door with Rex and Nitro with their DC-17 hand blasters pointed at them. The commando droid shouted, "Clones!" and both Nitro and Rex said, "Roger, Roger." before all the clones blasted the three Droids. Rex then said, "Right, Let's move." as he led the clones back into the outpost. Getting to the bottom of the stairs, Fives asked, "Permission to take point, sir?" But Rex said, "I'm always first, kid." before leading them up the stairs into the main room and began to open fire on the Commando Droids.

One commando Droid got Fives in the shoulder as Echo shouted his name, but Commander Cody said, "He's ok. Focus on the battle." Rex then got shot at by the lead commando Droid, but dodged it and got the Droid's blaster out of its hands, resulting in the droid to pull out his vibrosword to try and slice at rex, but missed as Nitro got behind it and with a pull out of a strange device, plugged it into the commando Droid's interface and brought it down as the other clones managed to take down the other commando Droids.

Pulling out a datapad, Nitro was able to use the virus that Wrench made and was able to reprogram the Commando Droid to be allied with them. Hevy was surprised that a droid would be fighting alongside them as Commander Cody looked over the equipment before saying, "Get to the window. It looks like we have more visitors." Getting to the window, Echo looked through his red visor and saw a whole fleet of Separatist ships as he said, "It looks like a Separatist fleet." That was when Cody realized and said, "That's why they commandeered the outpost. They're mounting a full scale invasion." That was when Rex said they needed to warn command.

In the separatist fleet, a B1-Battledroid told Grievous, "The Republic base is still transmitting the all-clear signal, but for some reason, our commando Droids are not responding." That was when Grievous said that they could not leave nothing to chance. He then said, "That base cannot be allowed to alert the Jedi that we're coming. Send down reinforcements to investigate." back in the station, Echo said, "Those clankers sabotaged our transmitter, and they hard-wired the all-clear signal. It will take time to repair." But Rex said, "we don't have time." before Cody said, "look!" They then saw a C-9979 landing craft landing on the platform as Fives said, "Well, buddy, you always said you wanted to be on the front lines." That was when the C-9979 landing craft opened and several battledroids began to walk out as Cody said, "We can't protect the outpost long against that army of Clankers."

"Then we'll blow up this outpost instead." Nitro said, which made all the clones look at him as Echo said, "But, sir, our mission is to defend this facility at all costs." That was when Rex said, "Nitro has a point, we have to warn the Republic about the invasion. They'll take notice when the all-clear signal stops." Fives realized what they meant and said, "That's right. When they stop receiving our beacon, they'll get the message something's wrong." When Rex mentioned needing every thermal Detonator in the inventory, Nitro said, "Won't cut it Rex. I've been looking at the schematics and there's no way thermal Detonators will cut it. I assume you guys have LT?"

"Yeah. This moon freezes for over half the year. We use Liquid Tibanna as fuel to heat the base." Echo said from his seat. Then Cody said, "Liquid Tibanna: highly Explosive. Good thinking Nitro." Nitro nodded his head as Rex said, "Indeed. Now bring the tanks here and prime the detonators." Nitro tossed a Detonator up in the air and said, "General Bertrand wanted me to have this for such an occasion."

As the droids began to march to the doors, Rex and Cody gathered the clones as Rex said, "Alright, listen up. There's only one target of interest in this sector: Kamino. It's the closest thing we clones have to a home. Today we fight for more than the Republic. Today we fight for all our brothers back home. Understood?" and the three shinies stood at attention and said, "Sir, Yes sir!" before they got their sun bonnets on and headed to the armory. Opening the armory doors, fives said, "I think we can even the odds a bit commander, especially since they don't know we're here." Then Hevy picked up his weapon of choice, a Z-6 rotary blaster cannon, as he said, "This one here is mine." before Commander Cody said, "Big gun doesn't make a big man." Meanwhile, Echo, Rex, and Nitro got the Plunk droids filled with Liquid Tibanna into the main room. Hevy, Cody, and Fives then walked to the blast doors as a Battle Droid pressed a button to say, "Reinforcements Reporting. Open up."

The doors opened and the battledroids said the rotating cannon of Hevy's Z-6 rotary blaster cannon before he came into view and he said, "Didn't say please." he then mowed down the droids in front of him. Then a Droid pointed the obvious out when he said, "Clones! Get 'em" and that droid led the charge into Hevy's fire as Fives and Commander Cody joined in while Nitro also came and opened fire on a few of the droids along with the reprogrammed Commando Droid. Fives threw a thermal Detonator and took out a few droids but more were coming and the four clones backed up as Cody said, "We could use a Jedi about now."

Cody then pressed the button to close the door and kept firing at the clankers as the door closed. Outside, the commando Droid was gunned down after taking down several Battledroids. Meanwhile, Admiral Yularen kept trying to contact the clone commanders as Obi wan and John walked up to him before he said, "Generals, there is still no response." Obi-wan then asked, "How about the all-clear signal? Is the base still transmitting?" Admiral Yularen nodded his head and said that it was. Obi-wan then said, "If something were wrong, Cody would contact us." but John said, "not if he's locked in a battle for the station with battledroids. Obi-wan, please at least let me send ONE legion!"

"What is the status of the base?" Grievous asked a Battledroid, who said, "Uh, we've run into some difficulties. There seem to be a few clones left, sir." Grievous then said, "Then wipe them out! We can't let a few puny Clones stop us." Back on the moon, the droids broke through the blast doors and forced the four clones back up the stairs while Cody said, "Fall back to the Ops center, move!" Hevy kept up the fire as he provided cover for his brothers.

"Alright soldier, to the Ops center, let's go!" Nitro told Hevy before running to the stairs as Cody said to Rex, "Rex, time's wasting." Rex said that they were almost ready. In the Ops Center, Rex was able to link up a handset to the detonator Nitro brought with him as Cody closed the door. Hevy even offered to stayed behind to protect the bomb, but Nitro said, "Sorry trooper but we're all going home." Hevy nodded his head and followed his brothers through the vent to the outside of the base. Back in the base, one droid told the Battledroid commander, "The base is ours again sir. The clones are fleeing."

"Cowards, Secure the area." the OOM command battle droid told the other battledroids. With the clones, Rex pulled out the handset to Nitro and said, "Wanna do the honors?" Nitro nodded and took the Handset before saying, "Bye bye Battledroids." and pushing the button. An electrical surge could be seen running in the base. Cody then looked at Nitro and said, "That's not an explosion." Nitro shook his head and said, "nope, but it will be in three, two, one… now." Then several small explosions, followed by one giant explosion were heard and the Rishi Base was destroyed.

With the Republic fleet, Admiral Yularen saw that the all clear signal from the Rishi base had been disabled and said, "The Rishi Base has stopped transmitting." Anakin said that it had to be Grievous as Obi-wan said, "Sound the invasion alarm. Let's get the Fleet under way." John then pressed a button on his comlink and his three Legions jumped to hyperspace. Obi-wan looked at John and said, "You knew it would happen?" John looked at him and said, "I had my ships prepared when we didn't hear back from them the first time."

Back with Grievous, he was angry that the station was blown up and when battledroid asked, "But isn't it good that the base was destroyed?" Grievous then called that droid an idiot before venators belonging to John's legions jumped in. making Grievous say, "The Republic Fleet. We're outgunned, get us out of here." as the Venators began to open fire on the Separatists ships. Disabling the engines for some of the Munificent-class star frigates as the rest of the fleet were able to get away. May then had gunships go to the surface and check for survivors as Anakin and Obi-wan's fleets jumped in.

On the Resolute, John, Obi-wan, and Anakin placed medals on Fives, Hevy, and Echo for their help in defending Kamino. Obi-wan said, "on Behalf of the Republic, we thank you for your valiant service." Then Anakin said, "Your new units are lucky to have you men. I'd be proud to fight beside you anytime, anywhere." That was when John said, "Are you sure that you wish to join my legion Hevy?" Hevy nodded his head and said, "Yes sir. If what Commander Nitro told me is correct, thenthe 898th is where I'm needed." John smiled as he noticed a soldier that came with him from the future. The Jedi then bowed to the clones as they saluted the jedi.

After the Jedi walked away, Rex congratulated the clones as he added, "You're not shinies anymore." The three smiled before looking at the ground before Echo said, "With all due respect, sir, we failed our mission. We don't deserve this honor." But Cody said, "No, if it weren't for you, the Republic wouldn't have learned of the Separatists' invasion until it was too late." Then Nitro said, "Agreed. Besides you three have guts, determination, and the will power to get the job done. But when the Droids took over the base and we came, your mission changed from maintaining the base, to recapturing the base, and to destroying the base." Finally Rex said, "You showed me something today. Echo, Fives, you're exactly the kind of men I need in the 501st. Hevy, shame we lost you to the 898th, but we'll see each other often." all three of them then saluted Rex before saying, "Sir, yes, sir!" and turning around and walking off.

"What is it, trooper?" John asked the man that he saw. The crew member then showed him a clone in maroon colors holding a clone blaster and a Rishi Eel on his chest plate. The clone saluted him and said, "CT-4040, Cutup, reporting sir." Cutup nodded his head and he, along with John, walked off to get work done.
