A. N: Now here's Minnie's birthday bit.
Happy 85th Birthday Mickey and Minnie!
Minnie woke up to find her husband missing from their bed. Darn it, she wanted to snuggle up to his warmth. She then decided to get up, albeit reluctantly, and go find him. After making the bed, she got dressed and then headed downstairs to start looking. Surely he wouldn't have gone far without telling her. He wasn't in the living room or the kitchen, that left the backyard and the garage. Unfortunately he wasn't in either of those places, and the car was missing from the garage. Now where could he have gotten to so early in the morning?
After about an hour, she finally heard the car pull up and into the garage. She stuck a chair and sat in it facing the front door, so she'd be the first thing Mickey saw when he came through the front door. He came in and flinched at seeing her right there sitting in front of the door, with a stern look on her face. Obviously she was mad that he went somewhere without waking her up and telling her, or without even leaving a note.
"Uh, Hiya, Mi-Minnie," he said nervously. She didn't respond...for a while. Oh dear, she was giving him The Silent Treatment. Dun, dun, duuun.
"Where, pray tell, have you been?" She asked so coldly her voice was like ice. Mickey could even swear that the temperature dropped a few degrees within the room. He started toeing the ground nervously, he was hiding something and he was hiding that something behind his back.
"Oh, just some errands, heh." Minnie was not amused and she pointed out something of the obvious to emphasize it.
"We went grocery shopping yesterday, and took all our recyclables to the recycling center the day before that. What other errands could you have possibly done so early in the morning, Mickey?"
"Special errands," he answered simply and without hesitance. The jig was up he had no choice but to the spoil the surprise earlier than he'd like, otherwise she'd be chewing his tail out all day. So from behind his back he produced a music box with an old picture of them on it, from back it the days when they had pie-eyes. He turned the key in the back of it and opened it and then it started playing their song, Minnie's Yoo-hoo.
Minnie felt tears of joy welling up in her eyes as she squeaked in surprise at the darling gift. "Oh, Mickey~!"
"Ha-huh! Happy Birthday Minnie!" He said cheerfully through his bashfulness. Minnie ran to hug him.
"Oh, Mickey, I shouldn't have doubted you. I'm so sorry!" He kissed the top of her head.
"Aw, that's okay. I'm sorry I didn't wake ya up ta tell ya that I had a special errand to run. So, uh, do ya forgive me?" She giggled at him.
"Mickey, you know I can never stay mad at you." She kissed him on the lips passionately, and all was right with the world and the two of them once more.
The End
