AN: Sorry, y'all, this is a short chapter. Thanks to WaywardDaughter18 for the beta. Thanks to all of you for reading!

"Jessie, wake up," Lisa said, shaking my shoulder gently.

I groaned and rubbed my itchy eyes. "What time is it?"

"It's seven. I need you to get up."

I rolled into a sitting position and blinked at Lisa, trying to clear the fog from my eyes. "I barely went to bed…" I started.

"Jessie, after what you pulled last night, I'm not in the mood," Lisa interrupted. "You need to get up and help me pack up some of your clothes." She pointed at my dresser.

That shocked me fully awake and I got out of bed. "What's going on?"

"I talked to your dad after I put you to bed," she explained as we gathered clothes from the dresser and closet. "I told him I believed you and that you needed to get out of here."

I stopped mid-turn, my arms full of t-shirts from the closet. "Just me?"

She turned away from the dresser and sighed. "He thinks that Ben and I will be safe from the hunters if you're not here because they're only after you." she explained.

I dropped my t-shirts onto the bed. "So where am I going?" That ache in my stomach had started up again, but now I felt a little nauseated.

She dropped some jeans next to the shirts and held my upper arms lightly, looking down at me. "He said we should get you to Bobby's right away." Then she pulled me into a hug. I hugged her back, despite the panic, fear, and hurt crawling through my insides. Even my skin was prickling and tears came back to my eyes.

Banished to Bobby's. Of course.

I let her go and looked up at her. "He's not going to come get me?" I asked, afraid of the answer.

Her face was soft with sympathy. "He and Sam are in the middle of finishing up a hunt in Pennsylvania," she explained. "They can't drop what they are doing and even if they could, the drive back here is over eight hours. I can get you to Bobby's much sooner than that. We just need to get some clothes and papers packed and then we can get on the road."

"Papers?" I croaked out, scared now. Clothes meant until the problem was solved, but papers meant long term. Papers meant I might not be coming back.

Lisa's shoulders dropped. "He doesn't know how long he's going to have to keep you at Bobby's."

I just stared at her. "But… I didn't do anything to make them hunt me, at least not on purpose." My throat was tight.

"I know, sweetie," she said. "He's trying to keep you safe, not punish you." She went to hug me again and I stepped backwards, running into the side of the bed. She dropped her arms and I could tell she really felt sorry for me. I felt even worse.

"I know what I need to pack," I croaked out. "You can go get the papers or whatever. I'll come down when I'm packed."

"Are you sure?" she asked. I could tell she really, really wanted to make me feel better. But I knew there was no way she could.

"Yeah," I said.

"I'll be right downstairs," she said. "You just come get me if you need me."

"I will," I said, turning to look at the pile of clothes on the bed. I couldn't take all of these with me. My duffel wasn't that big. I heard Lisa's footsteps down the hall and went to grab my duffel out of the closet.

I picked through my clothes, finding my favorites, and packed them. Then, of course, I packed my snowman and the heart-shaped pillow Lisa had gotten me. I made sure to grab the cat figurine Kara had given me for my birthday last year. It was about two inches high and had an orange cat lying on top of a brown cat. She'd told me it was us when she'd given it to me. I shoved it into a pair of socks so it wouldn't get broken and stuck it in the middle of the other clothes. Toiletries went into the duffel, too. I didn't have school right now, so I packed my backpack full of my favorite books and some drawing and writing supplies.

I got dressed while I packed, so probably forty-five minutes after Lisa woke me up, I was packed and ready to go. I pushed away the thought that Dean would be proud of me, hefted the backpack onto my back, grabbed the duffel, and went downstairs. I passed Ben's door on the way down and he was still asleep, which I thought was a little weird.

Once I was downstairs, I set my bags by the door next to Lisa's suitcase and dug my skateboard and gear out of the hall closet. Lisa came through the kitchen and handed me a file of paperwork. I straightened and took it.

"Is Ben coming with us?" I asked, jutting my chin towards the stairs. "He's still asleep." I bent to stuff the paperwork into the duffel. There was no way it was fitting in the backpack.

When I straightened, Lisa said, "He is, but I didn't think you'd want him around when I spank you."

My eyes widened. "No! Lisa!" I objected, tears filling my eyes again. "I'm already being sent to Bobby's and I have hunters hunting me!"

Lisa tilted her head a little and frowned at me. "And none of that excuses what you did last night. You broke a ton of rules…"

"Dad made me!" I objected. "He and Sam kept saying I needed evidence and that they thought I was lying to them. What was I supposed to do, wait around until those men actually grabbed me?"

She took my arm and pulled me with her into the living room. "No, you were supposed to talk to me. You didn't even give me a chance." She sat down on the couch, pulling me to stand in front of her and looking up at me. "I could've gone over there and talked to them, or I could've called the police and told them I thought someone was squatting in the house. You could've given me a chance to convince Dean, too. But you didn't do any of that, you just decided it was all on you and took off in the middle of the night."

I looked down at her with my lip trembling, my eyebrows drawn together. I knew Lisa was an adult, but she hadn't lived a hunter's life, so while I turned to her for help in a lot of areas, it never once occurred to me that she could help with this. I was hot with shame. "Lisa…"

She shook her head, stopping my words. "Drop your shorts," she told me. I undid them and she pulled me to her right side and helped me lie down over her lap.

"I was terrified when I checked your room last night and you were gone, specifically because I believed you when you told me that white van had been tracking you," she scolded. "I thought someone had kidnapped you, but I checked and realized your house keys were missing, so I told myself I'd give it an hour before I called the police." She brought her hand down on my butt and I jumped at the sting, even through my panties. "You are lucky you got back before that!"

She brought her hand down again and this time she didn't pause. She just spanked me. Her hand was smaller and lighter than Dean's but despite what Ben had told me, it hurt! For one thing, it stung more and I squirmed over her lap, trying to escape the smacks until she stopped and snapped at me. "Hold still or I'll add more."

"It hurts!" I whined, re-adjusting myself so I was more securely over her lap. She had a much smaller lap than I was used to.

"It's supposed to hurt, missy. You ran off on what was basically a hunt and broke into a house, all without telling anyone. You put yourself in so much danger without a second thought or without giving me a chance to solve the problem." She went back to landing those stinging smacks on my panties, and then she switched and spanked the back of my thighs too. I shrieked and tried to keep from kicking as she alternated between my butt and my more sensitive thighs. She kept on like that for a while, and I had tears in my eyes before she paused again.

"I was terrified, Jessie! Your dad is right. You get mad and run off into danger without any thought for anyone who loves you. Don't you?"

Familiar guilt wound its way through my chest. "Yes," I whispered, knowing it was true, that it had been true for a long time, especially since I got my fire.

"He's had enough of it and so have I," Lisa said. I heard something shift behind me and then something small and round pressed against my left butt cheek. " You know better and you have for years. The hairbrush doesn't seem to make an impression and neither does the belt, so let's see if my wooden spoon can put a dent into that habit."

I would've scoffed at that idea, but then she brought the spoon down in quick, sharp smacks all over my butt and up and down the upper part of my thighs. I howled. The sting built and built in a way that I'd never felt before. I couldn't help but struggle, and Lisa was ready for that too. Despite how small she seemed, she was super strong from all her yoga. She tilted me forward and trapped my legs with hers, the same way Dean had before. My butt and upper thighs were even higher in the air now, and that spot where they met was a much better target. She landed a bunch of swats there while I sobbed and balanced myself with my hands on the floor in front of me.

"I'm sorry, Lisa!" I shrieked. "I'm so sorry! I screwed up!"

"You did," she agreed, but this time she didn't stop to lecture me. She just kept landing those awful searing, stinging smacks. "And this is what you can expect when you go around flouting the rules without talking to anyone first. You should be ashamed of yourself."

"Dad didn't believe me!" I yelled.

"But I did," Lisa said, landing more spanks on my thighs. "I believed you and I was trying to help you. And you knew that, didn't you?"

"Yes!" I wept.

"But you still didn't trust me enough to keep you safe. You are not old enough to run off and hunt things on your own. You should have come to me or even called Bobby instead of getting mad and running off to find the evidence yourself. You do not risk yourself that way again, do you understand me?"

"Yes, I'm sorrrryyyyyyy!" I cried. My entire bottom and upper thighs felt like they'd been seared with fire. I wanted her to stop more than anything, but she didn't. She landed ten more spanks before she finally stopped and released me.

She helped me up from her lap, and I stood on shaky legs to pull my shorts back up. Then she scooted back on the couch and pulled me down onto her lap. I yipped when my bare thighs slid on her jeans, but then she was hugging me and rubbing my back. I turned toward her and wrapped my arm around her neck, pulling myself against her shoulder to cry.

She held me until I stopped crying and then for a little longer. I didn't move until I heard Ben's voice from the general direction of the bottom of the stairs, right outside the living room.

"What's going on? Is Jessie okay?"

"She's fine, sweetie. She just snuck out on her own hunt last night and earned herself a spanking," Lisa said.

My face flamed against her shirt and I pulled away from her, turning to grab some tissues off the coffee table. I refused to look at Ben.

"Why are there bags by the front door?" Ben asked.

"Because I'm being banished to Bobby's," I said, pushing myself off Lisa's lap. She frowned and swatted me. I yipped.

"The white van is a pair of hunters," she explained to Ben, getting to her feet. I got out of her way, my eyes falling on the wooden spoon on the couch. Maybe I could break it before we left? "We're taking her to Bobby's so that we'll all be safe," Lisa finished.

I glanced at Ben to see how he was going to take that. He was staring at his mom with a confused expression. Then his face twisted in disbelief.

"No!" he objected. "She can set fires with her mind. How are we going to be safer with her gone? Seems like she'd be the best weapon…"

"Ben, go get dressed and ready to go. We've got a long drive ahead of us," Lisa interrupted and pointed at the stairs. But I smiled to myself. Ben still thought I was awesome and that was at least a small consolation.

Then the smile melted away when I remembered that part of what he thought made me awesome also made me a monster.
