A.N.: So this one is part of the other project that parallels context of Dirty Little Secret In The Amazon, but it may or may not happen in the actual project, since I haven't fully decided how I'm gonna get the mice to meet up on the island, so this is one of many possibilities and I mostly did this version because I like the idea of personalized ringtones for certain people.

Alfonzo T. Gato and Manfred Mouse are my OCs.

Minnie, Daisy and Cuckooloca sighed happily as they finished off a delicious lunch by the sea.

"Alright, Daisy. I'll admit you were right that this was an excellent idea, even though I still feel bad for mooching this vacation off of Alfonzo." Minnie admitted to her best friend.

"See? So what if you're mooching, Alfonzo is rich and if he likes you this much, even you should mooch at least one vacation out of him!" Daisy replied proudly.

"And sucker him to bring us along too so he doesn't get any funny ideas!" Cuckooloca added her two cents. It was no secret to her or Daisy that Minnie wasn't really into Alfonzo romantically, even if he really was crossing the line of professionalism here and there since they were actually supposed to strictly be business partners. He was with them on this vacation but thankfully they were taking a break from him and he was doing some other business elsewhere, probably back at the hotel.

Then there was the topic that both birds (…of sorts in Cuckooloca's case), avoided but really wanted to touch out of curiosity. Mickey. To the Cuckoo clock bird's surprise, Daisy decided to actually go there.

"I wonder if Mickey would like this island." Daisy prodded tactfully. Cuckooloca spit out a little bit of her drink and then hissed Daisy's name to the duck's face.

"Now you bring him up." Minnie quipped, rolling her eyes and by the sound of it, she had been waiting for this obvious subject to be brought up.

The mice hadn't seen nor spoken to each other in months, and that started long before Alfonzo was even an issue. However, Daisy was within earshot of Minnie's half of the phone conversation that supposedly broke things off between the practically eternal lovers, and even Daisy had to admit that being too busy getting the Bowtique off the ground was a lame excuse. Although it was an excuse that seemed to work, as Mickey never called back, but Daisy did learn from his side of the story that he was respecting the distance she wanted to put between them and thus would wait for her to call him when she was ready.

Here and now, it's been five months and however many days and Minnie never called him back either, and ever since Alfonzo became her business associate, a really rich and surprisingly close one at that, it's been a wonder what Minnie's intentions have been all this time. It's also been a wonder if the mice would ever get back together, as this has been the longest off phase they've ever been in.

"I'm bringing him up now as a friend to both of you. He's waiting for you to call him you know, since you gave him that BS excuse about getting the Bowtique off the ground, he's waiting for you to call him when it's all settled. Well, it's been months since then, and I'd say we're totally off the ground. So you should call him." Daisy chastised. She expected her best friend to fight back in her usual stubbornness, but instead Minnie started to tear up and then in a burst of emotion she put her face in her hands shamefully and wailed.

"What if he doesn't want to talk to me because of Alfonzo!"

"I wouldn't've suggested it if that were the case. Which it's not. Yes, he knows about Alfonzo already, but he really doesn't care." Daisy argued as calmly as she could in slight effort to not make a further scene.

"Mickey also knows that you're sportin' a cheerleader smile for all the pictures of you and Alfonzo in those tabloids." Cuckooloca added in a whisper to further help with trying to not make a commotion.

"Are you sure? He's not mad or anything?" Minnie asked through a sniffle.

"Of course I'm sure, and him being mad isn't even the case, Min. I just had to get his side of the story on all this, and it's not his fault that his coworkers down at the police station are force feeding him all the tabloid stories about you just to keep him up to date. I'm more surprised Clarabelle hasn't made any comments about any of this, it must be killing her if she's actually bottling it up just to see the outcome." Daisy explained and noted offhandedly at the mention of the gossiping cow. "You should at least check his Duckbook page to see how he's doing. Especially since he updated it today with a very interesting picture that you might wanna see."

"Daisy, you're not seriously suggesting that she see…" Cuckooloca started cautiously, as she had seen the picture too, over Daisy's shoulder.

"She needs to see it, Cuckooloca, no matter what anyone else thinks." Daisy answered for her.

Thankfully the suggestion got through to Minnie anyway, as she did want to see this interesting new picture. The way Daisy had said it, it sounded like this picture he put up might be an exceptionally good one, maybe borderline spicy to show off all of his muscles, maybe on a beach since it was the summer time.

While that picture that she was hoping for was actually a few pictures down of his updates, all the way into yesterday, the picture that popped up first had her and Daisy tagged in it, and since it was in her notifications, she went to that first. She nearly dropped her phone as soon as she saw it and realized why she and Daisy were tagged in it.

Daisy took a sip of her drink and counted down from three with her fingers to Cuckooloca, and right on cue as her remaining finger hit one, Minnie screamed. But at least she remembered to not cause a scene, and covered her mouth when she did.

The picture in question was of Mickey and his cousin, Manfred with a familiar tropical background behind them, and the reason why it was so familiar was partly because it was definitely the same island that Minnie, Cuckooloca, and Daisy were on, considering they were tagged because they were in the background of this same photo. Of course Minnie was more distracted by a more important factor.

Mickey was on the island.

"Tell me this was by chance." Minnie uttered, she honestly felt like she was going to faint, and it was a wonder that she hadn't yet.

"It was. They really are just as surprised as you are that we're all vacationing on the same island at around the same time. They're staying longer than we are though, so if you wanna get back together with him, even as a weird summer fling, you better do it quickly and squeeze every minute that you can with him." Daisy replied honestly.

"How long have you known about this?" Minnie asked, trying to wrap her head around it all still, and thoroughly ignoring Daisy's idea of a summer fling with her own boyfriend of all things, though still secretly liking it were she in a calmer mood.

"Since Manfred texted me about an hour ago to check out that photo. And yes, I'm just as surprised and so is Cuckooloca."

"That's right!" The cuckoo clock bird chirruped cheerfully.

"Gives you enough incentive to call him now, doesn't it?" Daisy pointed out with a wink, as she interlaced her fingers under her chin.

"No." Minnie quipped adamantly, then looked up to Cuckooloca's and Daisy's questioning gazes to explain with determination in her eyes, "If Mickey's on the island, then it gives me enough incentive to see him in person!"

"As nice and cute as that is, Minnie. You're killing me, I really wanna know what Mickey's ringtone for you is, so for the love of Walt, call him!" Daisy told her in slight irritation.

"I second that." Cuckooloca added. "He won't tell anyone what he made his ringtone for ya be, and it's driving us up a wall!"

"He personalized his ringtone for my contact?" Minnie couldn't help but ask.

"He personalized everyone's contact to a special ringtone. Mine's a Justin Beakber song I think, which is just as well." Daisy replied nonchalantly with a shrug at the artistic choice.

"I don't have a cell phone but if I did, he said mine would be Seal-o Greenie's 'Forget You' in chicken vocals from the Muppets." Cuckooloca added for the sake of it and getting the point across.

The gears turned in Minnie's head as to the real reason as to why they were so insistent on calling him just to hear the ringtone personalized for her. Her eyes widened in shock when she got it.

"He's nearby isn't he?" She asked and immediately started looking around for him.

"You'll find him easier if you just call him, then you can follow the sound of the ringtone." Daisy suggested, ignoring the question since the answer was obvious.

Minnie huffed, but she had no choice but to agree since there was no way she could find him on her own if he was nearby and keeping himself hidden until the right moment. His contact was a little ways down her list since she hadn't used it in so long. She pressed it and waited as it rang on her end.

She didn't know what to expect, but she certainly didn't expect to hear her own voice singing a song she wrote for him around Disneyland's 50th anniversary and the company's 100 Years of Magic in Walt's honor.

M-I-C, I see him in all of my dreams, K-E-Y why he is as nice as he seems, M-O-U you know he'll always be mine, S and E even to the end of time!

"Ha-huh! Hiya, Minnie. Long time no see, huh?" Came his voice from a few tables over on her right.

Minnie froze, she wasn't sure what she wanted. She wanted to cry but not in front of Daisy and Cuckooloca. She wanted to run into his arms and never let him go again, but she wasn't sure if she'd be accepted by him after all this time. Until she finally turned to look at him and saw him walking towards her with open arms.

She got up and flew to him with a tiny squeal of his name and clung to him as if he'd disappear if she dared to loosen her grip on him. There was nothing she could do to stop the floodgates as she sobbed quietly into his chest, relishing the feel of his big strong arms around her, not realizing until then just how much she missed it. How much she missed him. She didn't even realize she was sobbing out apologies until she finally comprehended Mickey cooing sweet nothings in her ear and reassuring her that he didn't blame her for anything, along with tiny little pecks to the side of her ears that were sticking out of her hat.

At that moment, she couldn't give a single care what Alfonzo would think when he found out about Mickey. All that she knew was that she was never going to let her own boyfriend slip through her fingers ever again if she could help it.
