Going home part 2

Merrill was glad that he had Gopher with him cause he has been having a hard time with Vicki being in the hospital and recovering from this, and he had to go down to the police station and do a full report on the idiots who threw Vicki overboard and into the water as well, Gopher was glad he had Merrill for support cause he started to get a little bigger, and he started to feel the baby move which he was grateful for cause he was able to tell what the baby like and what the baby didn't like and he could tell when the baby could sense his tension as well and he was grateful for that

"How's Vicki sir?" Gopher asks as he gave Merrill some dinner cause Merrill has been at the hospital a lot lately and Gopher has been at the apartment and the ship as well keeping busy the best that he could and Merrill was grateful that Gopher was there for him cause Merrill has been dropping weight since Vicki went to the hospital, but he has been gaining it back slowly with talking to Gopher and being with him

"She is getting better slowly she has been talking to a therapist to help her overcome this, and it's slowly working right now and her wounds are getting better and are healing as well, and she is still scared of me leaving her so they have her in a room with a window and she doesn't have a roommate which I like cause I can hold her and she cries into my shoulder or on my shirt, and when I leave I give her my captain hat to hold onto and she sleeps with it" Merrill says as he was going to eat cause Vicki therapist and her doctor's were going to check her over and her therapist was going to get another session in with her before he left for the night

"That's good" Gopher says as he was cleaning up from supper

"Yeah and her therapist is going to talk to me about a plan to have her back on board again cause I told him how I am the captain of the ship and how this accident and the aftermath is going to affect me cause I won't be able to be on the bridge much in the beginning once we board cause she is going to be scared to go near the railing or up on deck cause of what had happen to her and I don't blame her at all cause after that she doesn't want to be near the railing or the deck in this case" Merrill says as he was still eating and Gopher was going to have some tea to help him sleep cause he has been having heartburn already

"She will be home before you know it sir and the two of you will be together and of course I still want her to watch my little one when it comes in a couple of months cause I am still going to be busy with my duties as well, and I will have to juggle being a dad like how you did" Gopher says as he took Merrill's plate and was going to wash it and give him his tea cause he needed it

"I know and the long road continues for her as well and it is not an easy road for her cause I am going to have my dad help me for the first few weeks we go back on board and we sail cause she is going to be scared of looking at the railing or being that close to them" Merrill says as he had his tea as well

"Does she still wish her mother was here with her?" Gopher asks him

"Of course she does and I have to explain it to her every time I go to the hospital to be with her of course and remind her about her aunt who is never going to see her again cause Harry and her have split and I can't reach her cause I would like a break from going to the hospital and sitting and being with her" Merrill says to Gopher

"I'll go tomorrow for you sir while you go down to the ship and check on the progress that has been made so far cause I have been checking in your absence and it is not easy as well" Gopher tells him

"Gopher would you do that for me cause I would like a break from being with Vicki and I would like to make some changes to the ship as well and make sure everything is on schedule as well. Plus I would like a day just to rest up, and conference with my dad on what is going to happen once we board again cause he is going to be command while I help Vicki adjust to being on the ship again, and doing everything that she loves on board as well" Merrill asks him

"Of course sir the agenda is done for a couple of cruise and I have began planning for what's going to happen in case we have bad weather on board and I have been working on the next agenda while I am on maternity leave with the baby cause all I have to worry about is the baby cause Julie is going to cover the activities for me while I am in my cabin getting practice for when the baby comes cause my recovery for that is not going to be easy either I am going to be cut open and I won't be able to walk far distances" Gopher tells him

"Gopher since you are here for me I am going to be there for you" Merrill says cause Gopher needed a true friend to be there for him and hopefully Vicki is fully healed by the time Gopher has the baby

"Thanks sir we might as well go to bed cause we have a big day tomorrow" Gopher says as he got up slowly so he doesn't go into preterm labor with the baby

"Yes easy now Gopher" Merrill says as he walked him to the bedroom

"Thanks sir I really need someone to be there for me when I won't be able to get up period" Gopher says as he gets into bed

"I'll be that someone that will help you and I will tell everyone once we go back on board so you won't have to hide anymore I don't see the reason to hide from this" Merrill tells him
