Matt awoke early the following morning and looked at the redhead laying next to him and smiled. It had just gone 6am, and his cell lit up with a message from Jeff asking if he was up and ready to hit the gym whilst it was still quiet. He snuck out of bed, crept around as he quietly dressed, not wanting to wake Willow or the girls. As he tiptoed to the door he heard a sleepy voice behind him say "Matt? What are you doing? Come back to bed its still early" "Wills, go back to bed. Im just hitting the gym with Jeff and Adam. I'll be back before you know it" Matt said as Willow stood at the end of the bed. "I'll be back in about an hour Wills. I promise" he said as he kissed her. "We still need to plan todays fun" she said as he headed for the door, as he opened it he saw Jeff in front of it. "Hey is that..." he began to ask as Matt shuffled him away and closed the door behind him. "Its not what you think Jeff ok? Wills and I decided to surprise the girls before they go back home as they wont see me for another three, possibly four weeks" Matt said as Adam joined them. "So why is she in your room? In your tshirt?" Jeff asked as Adam caught on and also asked "Who's in Matts room and tshirt?" "Wills. She arrived yesterday with the girls as a joint surprise with me for them" Matt said as they entered the elevator. "Nothing is going on with us" he added as he saw the looks on Jeff and Adams faces. "Guys, nothing is going on with me and Wills. Shes going through some stuff and needs time to heal" He said as he asked "actually do you guys mind watching the girls tonight? I'd really like to surprise Wills with dinner tonight as shes been really struggling lately with her mental health" "You know we will Matt. But is this your way of helping her or is this you trying to win her over?" Adam asked as Matt replied "Im helping her. She doesnt want anyone knowing this, but shes on anti-depressants. Shes not said much about why, but she'll talk when shes ready" "I knew she was struggling, you could see it at her birthday, i just didnt realise how much" Jeff said as Adam added "We wont say anything. But take her somewhere amazing, she deserves it after this year" "For what its worth Matt, you and Wills always were endgame. Even if you cant yet see it" Jeff said as the three men headed into the gym.
As hard as she tried, Willow couldnt get back to sleep. She lay in bed, awaiting Matts return staring at the sunrise over Paris, her head filled with thoughts and fears What if Jeff saw me? What if he works out that Matt and I are together? Im not ready for him to know about us. Does he know about me and my struggles? she thought to herself as she heard her cell ringing in the other room. As she grabbed her cell, she noticed it was a facetime from Amy. "Hey mom, whats up?" Willow answered as she settled back into the bed she had shared with Matt. "Wills, where are you? Thats not your place" Amy asked noticing the room in the background. "Paris. Matt and I decided to surprise Jas and Rubes before we head home as they wont see him for three, possibly four weeks. Anyways, whats up mom?" Willow replied as Amy held up a large envelope. "Some mail arrived for you this morning, looks important. Am i ok to open it with you here?" Amy asked as Willow nodded. As Amy opened her mail she said "Wow, this has come quick" "Mom, what it is?" Willow asked as Amy turned the paper around. "Welcome back to the single life Wills. Its your divorce decree and certificate" As she saw the official stamp, Willow felt her heart break as silent tears filled her eyes. "Wills? You ok?" Amy asked as Willow nodded. "I will be. I just...I didnt expect it to arrive this quickly" she said quietly, wiping away a tear. "Ive got to go mom. I'll call you in a couple of days from Ellys" Willow added as Amy nodded, sensing that her daughter was not as ok as she was making out to be as they ended the call.
"Momma?" Jasmine called from the other room. "Im in here Jas. Why dont you try and get some more sleep? Its still pretty early" Willow replied as Jasmine walked into the adjacent room. "Momma, why are you in dadas room?" Jasmine asked as she climbed onto the bed next to Willow and cuddled up to her. "Grandma Amy called me and i came in here because i didnt want to wake up you or Ruby" Willow replied as she heard Ruby stirring in the next room. "Tell you what, why dont i go get Rubes then we can all have cuddles and get some more sleep before dada comes back?" she added as Jasmine nodded. Willow tucked Jasmine into the bed before going to collect Ruby, returning a few minutes later. Rejoining Jasmine in the bed, Willow put her arms around her two girls and sighed. "You two are my pride and joy and i love you both so very very much" she said as she felt her two girls nestle into her, as all three closed their eyes and fell asleep again.
"So what do you make of Wills being in Matts room this morning?" Jeff asked Adam as they lifted weights, Matt off doing cardio on the treadmill. "Honestly Jeff? I dont know" Adam replied, glancing at Matt in the mirror. "But i will say this, they have been acting pretty cosy around each other ever since Raw, possibly even earlier" Adam added as Jeff nodded. "They were flirting on her birthday, although they tried to hide it. Lets not say anything to them, but keep our suspicions to ourselves. See how it plays out, but im saying they'll be together by Christmas again" Jeff added as Adam nodded. "Do you really think he is trying to help Wills?" he asked as Jeff shrugged his shoulders. "I dont know, i hope he is because i dont think Wills could take any more heart break. Especially if shes suffering from depression. I mean, i had no clue she was feeling that low" Jeff replied as Adam said, "I know Ames has been worried about her. Said Wills had been quieter than normal in the last few days they were together. Blamed it on Victors arrest though" "She wont be truly free of him until hes rotting in jail" Jeff added as he saw Matt walking over to them. "Hey guys, think im just about done here. Going to head back to the room to plan todays trip with Wills and the girls" Matt said as both Jeff and Adam nodded. "Any idea on where you're going to take her to dinner tonight?" Jeff asked as Matt shook his head. "Honestly, not a clue. Possibly Girafe or something similar. But theres no point in making these plans before i ask her and get her to agree to dinner first" he said as Adam replied "of course she'll say yes Matt. Anyone can see that shes still into you" "I hope youre right guys, but right now me and Wills are still working out where we're at and how to co-parent the girls" Matt said as he grabbed his bottle of water. "I'll text you guys later to let you kow what the plan is for tonight. Right now, i have a day to go plan"
Matt reentered the hotel room ten minutes later. He closed the door quietly, as he didnt want to re awaken Willow. As he crept towards the bed, he smiled as he saw Willow, Jasmine and Ruby laying in bed. "You three are my absolute favourite people" he said quietly as he took a photo of them on his cell. Willow stirred in the bed and slowly opened her eyes, smiling as she saw Matt in front of the bed. "Hey, youre back" she said quietly as Matt leaned over Ruby and kissed her. "Miss me that much?" He asked as she held in a giggle. "Didnt have time to, mom called as soon as you'd left and then these two were awake ten minutes later" she said, holding back the details of the phone call she'd had with Amy. "Everything ok with Ames?" he asked as Willow once again nodded. "Just house stuff and important mail arriving" she said, before adding "why dont you go take a shower, then we can decide the plan for today. Followed by some breakfast" "Sounds like a plan Wills." Matt replied as he stripped his shirt off, before adding "There is something i want to ask you though. Want to go to dinner tonight, just the two of us?" "Matt, i..." Willow began to reply but couldnt finish as Ruby awoke. "She needs changing. Go shower Matt, then we can talk" Willow said as Matt nodded, heading into the bathroom.
Willow quickly changed Ruby and placed her back into bed, where she quickly fell back asleep next to Jasmine. She sighed as she crept to the bathroom, removing her tshirt and sliding into the shower behind Matt. Running her fingers over his back he turned to face her. "Wills what are you..." he began to ask but she put her finger on his lips to stop him talking. "Yes, i'll go to dinner with you tonight as long as you can find someone to babysit for a few hours" she said, adding "But right now, the girls are still out and ive been wanting to do this all night" before kissing him. "Are you sure Wills?" Matt asked as Willow nodded, placing his hands on her body, kissing him again only this time she whispered "Dont stop"
"Wow, havent done that in a while" Willow said as she and Matt finally left the shower 45 minutes later. "So what do you fancy doing today Wills?" Matt asked as Willow wrapped a towl around her. "How about the Louvre? Could very easily spend all day just in one wing" she suggested as Matt nodded. "Sounds like a plan Wills. I'll make a reservation for dinner when we break for lunch" He said as Willow smiled at him, hiding the pain from the earlier phone call. "Jeff and Adam have said they'd watch Jas and Rubes for us tonight. Jeff has been asking why you were in the room this morning" Matt added as Willow sighed. "Does he know Matt?" she asked as Matt put his arms around her. "He doesnt know anything. He has his suspicions, but doesnt know" he replied. "I think we need to be careful around him Matt, dont want to give him any more reasons to get suspicious about us" Willow replied as Matt kissed her forehead. "Hes not going to find out, i told him that we're still working stuff out for the girls and we're just friends. Nothing more. Hey, lets get dry and ready before the girls wake and head out for breakfast" he said as Willow nodded, mentally preparing for the long day ahead.
Matt, Willow and the girls had a great day exploring the Louvre. They saw many of the exhibits, including the Mona Lisa. They enjoyed a picnic lunch in the Tuileries Gardens, with Jasmine and Ruby running around on the grass. Anyone watching them would have thought they were a real family, and that Matt and Willow were happily in love, nothing being further from the truth. Both hiding their true feelings from each other. Willow giggled at Jas and Ruby as Matt made the reservations for dinner. "Hey, dinner is booked for 7:30" he said as he rejoined her on the grass. "Where are we eating? Just so i know what to wear" She replied as Matt said "Its a surprise Wills. But i will say its upscale" as Jasmine came running over to them. "Momma, dadda. I want to get earrings" she said as Ruby crawled into Matts lap behind her. "What do you mean Jas? You want to go put on your princess clip ons on?" Willow asked as Jasmine shook her head. "I want earrings like momma has. Proper ones" "Whats brought this on Jas?" Matt asked as Jasmine walked over to him. "I saw a girl with earrings and i wants dada" Jasmine said as Willow glanced at Matt and he knew. "Maybe when youre older Jas" he said as Jas sulked and turned to face Willow. "I was a lot older when i got mine done Jas, because it hurts. Wait a few more years then we can go get them done if you want" Willow said as Jasmine continued to sulk. "Why dont we go explore the museum some more, then you two can have dinner before Uncle Jeff and Adam come to look after you" she added as Jasmine asked "Why is uncy Jeff and Grampy Adam looking after us?" "Momma and dada are going out to dinner to talk about you two" Matt replied. "Momma and dada are going on a date! Does this mean we are a family again?" Jasmine asked as Willow shook her head. "Not quite Jas. But you know when we go home we're only 20 minutes away from dada, so we need to work out a plan for you, Rubes and dada to spend time together" Willow said as Matt added "You two are our priority. I want to keep rebuilding my relationship and bond with you two. And i need to build up trust with momma again. Tell you what though Jas, why dont you come stay with me for a weekend once im back after this tour and we can redecorate your room? You can pick out everything. Only if momma agrees. What do you think Wills?" "I think that sounds like a really good idea. But we'll discuss it at dinner later" she replied "Right now, lets go explore the Louvre some more"
"Hey, want me to watch the girls until Jeff and Adam arrive?" Matt asked as the family arrived back at the hotel, before adding "It'll give you some time to get ready" "That would be really good Matt" Willow replied as she carried a tired Ruby into the elevator. As they made their way to the adjoining rooms, they heard a womans voice behind them. "Hey Wills! Willow, wait up" as they turned to look, they saw Becky running to catch up with her friend. "Hey Becks whats up?" Willow asked, passing Ruby to Matt. "I thought it was you yesterday but i wasnt sure. I needed to talk to you about..." Becky said as Willow unlocked her room. "Come on in Becks, i might also need your help tonight" Willow said as the two women entered the room. "Ok Wills, whats going on? What do you need help with?" Becky asked as Willow collapsed on the bed. "Tell me about Mania first. Then you can hear about my dilemma" She said as Becky sat on the edge of the second bed. "So we have our team for Mania" Becky said as Willow sat up. "Its me, you, Rhea, Sonya and Paige. Still awaiting the other team, although Nats name has been mentioned. Now, whats going on with you?" Becky said as Willow sighed "im going out for dinner with Matt tonight" "As in a dinner date?" Becky asked as Willow shrugged her shoulders. "I dont know. We need to talk, clear the air with us and set up a schedule for the girls to spend time with Matt, once we're home." she said sighing again, adding "but we're still two exes, going to dinner in Paris. I feel so nervous. What do i even wear?" "Wills, breath. Its Matt. How many times have you two gone to dinner in the past? Even as friends?" Becky said as Willow began to get butterflies. "Has something happened with you two since your birthday? Youre blushing everytime his name is mentioned" Becky asked as Willow replied "We kissed again. Only this time, i didnt want him to stop. I wanted more. But the night before last, Harriet turned up and we ended up in bed together" "How was it, seeing her again?" Becky asked as Willow sighed. "It was weird. We needed to talk, but at the same time, i didnt want to hear what she had to say. All i wanted was for her to go" "But you ended up in bed?" "Harry, kissed me. I tried to deny my feelings but our spark was still there. Afterwards, we realised that although we had fun and were pretty good together, we just wanted different things. Harry in Austrailia, me coming home. It would never have worked. I think it was that night i realised it was Matt i wanted to be with" Willow said as Becky asked "Does Matt know about this? How you feel about him?" Willow shook her head. "And i dont want him knowing. Not yet, not whilest im still figuring stuff out in my head. Which is why im nervous" she said, lying to her friend about her relationship with Matt. "So do you have any idea as to where hes taking you tonight? That way we can start narrowing outfits down" Becky asked as Willow once again shook her head. "Not a clue. All hes said is that its upscale" as Willow unzipped her case and began to pick out the potential outfits.
"Thanks for your help Becks, and for listening" Willow said as Becky loosley braided Willows hair, having eventually decided on an outfit for the night. Consisting of a mint green polka dot midi bodycon dress, oversized blazer and nude sandals. "Wills,you look amazing. You know, i dont have many close female friends, especially in this business but you and i clicked from day one. Youre the most genuine, kind hearted woman ive met. Youre one of my best friends" Becky replied as she finished Willows hair. "Youre one of my best friends Becks, youre probably the one person outside the family i can vent to about Matt and my feelings and not feel smothered or pressured" Willow replied as she looked at herself in the mirror. "So, whose looking after the girls tonight? Seth and i dont mind if you need someone" "Thanks Becks, but Jeff and Adam are on babysitting duty. If theres a next time, youre first in line" Willow replied as Jasmine came crashing through the adjoing door. "Momma! You look super pretty. Hi Beckeeeeeee" Jasmine said as Ruby toddled through behind her. "Hi Jas. Hey Wills, im going to head off. Text me later, let me know how it goes" Becky replied as Willow nodded. As Becky left the room, Jeff and Adam arrived to take over. "Hey Wills, you look incredible" Jeff said as Willow smiled at him. "Thanks Jeff, Adam for agreeing to watch these two monsters" Willow replied as Jasmine giggled. "Behave yourselves tonight girls, whilst Mom and i are out" Matt said as he entered the room, never taking his eyes off Willow. "Theyve been fed and bathed. Girls you can watch one movie before bed" Willow said as Jasmine hugged her and Matt goodbye, Ruby already on the bed almost asleep. "So where are you two off two? Or is it a big surprise?" Adam asked as Matt replied, "Its a surprise. But Wills and i have alot to discuss, so we may be a while. Dont wait up" as the two secret lovers headed out into the warm Parisian evening.
