Matt awoke first the next morning and smiled at the naked red haired woman next to him. Ive missed watching you this last year, and i hate that youre struggling both physically and mentally right now. But im not going anywhere anymore. Im here for you and the girls. I love you and im an idiot for wasting time with her he thought to himself as he brushed her hair away from her face, as she flickered her eyes open. "Hey what time is it?" she asked still half asleep. "Just before 5" Matt replied, kissing her forehead as he heard Ruby stirring in the room next door. "Stay in bed Wills, i'll go" he said as he left the bed, returning 20 minutes later. "She just needed changing. Was straight out as soon as i put her back into the bed" Matt said as he rejoined Willow in bed. "When was the last time you slept through the night Wills? Without interruption?" he asked as he put his arms around her. "I dont know Matt. Must be before Rubes was born" she replied before asking "why? do you want the girls for a dad daughter sleepover when you get home?" "Actually, it would be quite nice. That way you can chill and have a good sleep" he replied as she placed her head on his shoulder. "You could take them the night before i have my appointment with Beth. Obviously i wont know when that will be until i get back but we can work around it" she said before kissing him. "But as its still early, want to carry on from last night" she asked flirting with him as they ended up sleeping together, as they had done so many nights since her birthday.
"Thanks for listening last night Matt. I guess i hadnt realised how much i actually needed to get off my chest" Willow said the following morning as they dressed. "Wills, im always going to be here for you. I love you and i know you hate sneaking around..." "But we need to. Just until we figure us out, and i figure my head out too" Willow interrupted as she kissed him. "But lets not talk about it any more, lets just enjoy these last two days together, as a family"she said as Jasmine came running into the room. "Hi beautiful, you ready for breakfast?" Willow asked as Jasmine indecated for a carry. "I'll go get Rubes, then we'll go to Auberge de Cendrillon for breakfast with the princesses" Matt said quietly, but loud enough to get a reaction from his eldest daughter. "Princesses yaaaaaaaaaaaay" she said excitedly. "Hey Jas, i heard that there was a super awesome spooky house you went on yesterday with dada. Want to go ride it with momma after breakfast?" Willow asked as Jasmine nodded, as Matt reeentered the room a few minutes later. "Ready to head out?" he asked as Willow nodded, placing Jasmine back on the floor. "Im starving, lets go eat" she said as Jasmine took her hand as the foursome once again headed out into the magical Disney parks.
"Hey, so thats the girls down for the night, want me to go grab us some dinner?" Matt asked as Willow sat on the balcony overlooking the park later that night. "That sounds really good. Where do you fancy going?" She replied as he sat next to her. "Im thinking Planet Hollywood. I know i know, not the most exciting of places but they do have plenty of choice, and its close" Matt replied as he took his cell out and opened the Disney app to place his order. "I dont even know what i want, i cant decide just by looking" Willow said as she glanced at the screen. "Tell you what, surprise me Matt. You always did know what i wanted before i did" she teased as he kissed her. "Where did we go so wrong Matt? We were always so good together" she asked, a sadness in her voice. "Wheres this come from Wills?" Matt asked as Willow shrugged her shoulders. "I dont know. I guess its a question ive been asking myself alot this last year. You were always that one person who just got me" she replied as Matt kissed her forehead. "We still are that good together Wills, and we will get back to the place we were, no matter how long it takes. Im in this to the end" he replied, before adding "Im going to go pick up this order, come back sit out here with the woman i love and watch the fireworks" "Sounds like a plan Matt" Willow replied, smiling at him. "I love it when you smile Wills" Matt said as he kissed her forehead before heading out to go collect their food.
"I really dont want to leave you on Tuesday. Its going to be a long month without you" Willow said as they lay in bed a few hour later. "I know Wills, im going to miss you and the girls too" Matt replied as he put his arms around her. "I'll facetime you all the time, I already got gifts for Jas and Rubes from every place ive been. May even have a special something for you" he added as she smiled. "What do you have for me?" she asked as she propped herself up on her elbow. "Its a surprise. Plus i may not have it yet" Matt replied as Willow kissed him. "Tease!" she said as she straddled him, biting her lip. "Now whos the tease" Matt replied as they once again fell into a night of passion.
"So whats the plan for today? Half a day in the park before heading to the house show later?" Willow asked as she lay in Matts arms. "I didnt know you were coming to the show" he replied as she nodded."Vince called the other morning wanting to ask me something. So me and the girls will be there, before watching the show and heading off to our hotel for the night" she said as she placed her head on Matts shoulder, "when do you leave for the next place? Is it straight away or do you leave on Tuesday?" she asked as he replied "im not one hundred percent sure, but i think its Tuesday morning" kissing he forehead. "But id be leaving long before you guys are awake" "So we best make the most of this time we have left together" she whispered in his ear, taking his hand placing it on her body where he began to run his fingers over her skin, stopping as he reached her abdomen. "Dont, dont stop" she whispered, biting her lip as she pushed his hand lower as they once again slept together, as they had done in as many weeks.
"Momma, do we have to go?" Jasmine asked as Willow, Matt and Ruby headed for the Marne Le Vallee train station after a quick lunch. "We do Baby. We get to go watch dada wrestle and see Uncle Vince before we head to auntie Ellys tomorrow" Willow replied as Jasmine pouted. "And you get to see your new house Jas" Matt added which made her perk up a little. "Why dont we go shopping when we get home Jas? You can pick out everything you want for your room" Willow suggested as Jasmine nodded. "I wants pink" she said as Matt added "do you want to redo your room at my house too? as Jasmine nodded, as they passed through security. "Do you want me to take the girls while you go have your meeting with Vince?" Matt asked as they took a seat on the platform. "Take Jas, i'll take Rubes" Willow replied quietly, the anxiety kicking in. It must have shown on her face as once they boarded the train, Matt asked "You ok Wills? Youre just being really quiet" "Im just nervous" Willow said, as Matt secretly placed his hand on hers. "I dont know why i'm nervous. Its not the first meeting ive had with Vince" Willow continued sighing, "and i guess im not ready for this to end" "Me either Wills, but its not for long" Matt said, before adding "You know i love you and the girls more than anything, I'll be coming straight to you once this tour is over" which made Willow relax a little. "I guess im just anxious about being back in North Carolina, close to everyone but still a drive away" she said as the train pulled out of the station. "You know everyone is just a phone call away. I'll be around as often as i can to be with the girls, and you and the girls are always welcome in the house" Matt said as Willow smiled at him. "Lets just get this afternoon and tonight over with" she said as they settlled into their seats on the train, Jasmine and Ruby on their laps, as they headed back towards Paris.
"Hello Willow and hello to you little miss Ruby" Vince said a few hours later as they entered his makeshift office in the Accor Arena. "I wont keep you too long Willow, I just wanted to have a little catch up from our chat in London" he added, as they sat. "So, what brought you to Paris?" Vince asked as Willow replied "Matt actually. We just wanted him to be able to spend time with Jas and Rubes before we head home and he heads off on the remainder of the tour. We had a few days exploring the city and we've just spent the weekend at Disneyland. Matt and I even had dinner last week, just me and him" Willow said as Vince asked "How was it? Its a pretty big step for you both" "It was actually really good. We now have a plan in place for the girls when hes at home" she replied "we're not together, before you ask. However, it did bring up alot of unresolved feelings i have for him" Willow added. "So whats your plans moving forward with Matt?" Vince asked as Willow shook her head, "absolutley nothing. He knows that ive been through too much this past year and im not ready for a relationship with anyone" she said as Ruby crawled to Vince who happily picked her up and placed her on his lap. "That sounds like youre both in a good place with each other" Vince said as he finally got to why he called her into the meeting. "So as you know we're keeping your return at Wrestlemania a huge secret. In the meantime the producers of the X Factor have been in contact..." "No Vince, i cant do it again. Not after last time" Willow interrupted as Vince shook his head, "thats not it at all Willow. They want you to record an album, and perform on the new season as a guest performer. The choice is yours, but i think youd benefit from it" he said as Willow sighed. "Thats an incredible offer Vince. I dont know what to say" she replied, as she tried to process what was on offer. "Take some time to think about it Willow. Ive still got a good month before they need a definitive answer" Vince said as Willow took a deep breath. "Id love to do it Vince, i really would. But im thinking logically. Where would they want me to record it? Can i take the girls or would i have to leave them?" she asked as Vince replied "You can do it in Raleigh. Theres a studio about an hour away from Vass, can take the girls if you want" "I'll do it. I think it'll be a good distraction for me" Willow replied, before asking "can i choose the songs that i record? I want this to be personal for me" "I see no issue with that Willow. I will have to confirm that it ok with the producers, but it should be allowed" Vince replied as Ruby toddled back to Willow. "Hungry Rubes?" Willow asked as Ruby cuddled into her. "I think we're just about done here Willow. You know im always here if you need anything" Vince said as Willow stood up, her sketchbook dropping out of her bag onto the floor. Vince bent over to pick it up for her and her sketches caught his eye. "Wow Willow, these are amazing. Are these for Wrestlemania?" Vince asked as Willow nodded. "Ever since you and Becky asked me, ive been drawing outfits that would represent us as a team yet maintain our individuality" she replied as Vince passed the book back to her. "Well i love that Willow and i love those designs. Im going to get those made" he said as she pushed the book back into her bag. "Thanks Vince, once theyre made, can i be the one to unveil the gears to the girls?" she asked, picking up Ruby. "Of course Willow. We're still going to keep your return a secret though" Vince replied as Willow nodded as she left the room.
"Hey how was your meeting with Vince?" Matt asked as he got ready for the show. "It was really good actually. Can we talk about it later, someone needs to go kick some butt" she teased as Jasmine walked over to her parents. "Im hungy momma and dada" she said as Matt picked her up. "Want me to go find some food for you Jas?" he asked as Jasmine nodded "Do you want anything Will?" he asked as Willow shook her head. "I'll get some room service with you later. Might try and take a quick nap with Rubes before the show starts" she replied as Matt nodded, but he had a suspicion all wasnt right with his ex wife.
"Girls are out Will. Want to get some room service?" Matt asked as Willow lay on the bed. "Sounds good Matt. I may go take a shower while we wait" she replied, slowly getting off the bed. "Surprise me with the order" she said, heading into the bathroom, locking the door behind her leaving Matt confused about her state of mind. Thirty minutes later, there was a knock on the door indecating that their food had arrived, yet Willow was still in the bathroom. "Hey Wills, food is here" Matt said through the door, as he thought he heard Willow trying to hide the sound of her crying. "Will? You ok?" he asked as he heard her reply quietly "I'll be out in a few minutes. Go start eating" as Matt moved away from the door, he heard Willow moving in the bathroom. After a few minutes, Matt heard the door unlock and Willow came out. Almost immediatley, Matt could tell she'd been crying and noticed she was covering her arm. "Willow, whats wrong?" he asked as she sat on the edge of the bed and sighed. "My head is spinning Matt. Just from the meeting with Vince to this being our last night together, i just...i dont know. I feel like we've come so far and now we're back to square one and killing me" she said as Matt took her hand. "Im not ready to be on my own again Matt" she said as Matt replied "But you wont be alone. I'll only be away for three weeks, but you have Amy, Trish, Elly and dad around. "Matt, why do i keep fucking up?" she asked quietly, slowly revealing a fresh wound on her arm, as he put his arms around her. "You dont Wills. What youve been through these last ten years, no one should go through it. It just so happens that all the PTSD and trauma thats been bottled up is finally being released" he replied, kissing the top of her head as she leaned into him. "But remember this, you are not alone in this. Want to Tell me what happened with Vince" "The producers of the X Factor want me to record an album. I said i'd do it, but now im not sure" Willow replied as Matt took her hand. "Thats amazing Wills. Do you know what songs they want you to put on it?" he asked as Willow shook her head. "I get to pick what i want on there. Once i make my list, it'll all come down to copyright and licensing" "How did i end up with the most amazingly talented, beautiful woman in the universe and i fucked it up" he said as Willow shook her head again. "We both made mistakes and we've paid for them" she said before continuing "we lost everything" "But we're slowly reclaiming everything" Matt interrupted "its not been easy and it wont get any easier the longer we keep this between us" "I know Matt, but you know its never been easy for us" Willow replied, "Lets take it one day at a time, maybe we could tell a few people at christmas, if we're both feeling ok with it" "Only if youre ok Wills. I dont want to tell if your still uncomfortable" Matt replied as Willow pulled away from him. "Lets eat before this food gets cold. Movie and chill after?" she said as Matt nodded, opening the pizza box in front of them.
Matt awoke first the next morning and looked at Willow sleeping next to him. He looked at the digital clock on the table next to him and sighed when it showed 2:45am. He turned back to Willow and smiled as he watched her sleep. We only have a few hours left.I dont want to wake you and I hate leaving you and the girls. Matt thought as he watched her for 15 minutes before she awoke. "What time is it Matt?" Willow said sleepily as Matt replied "Just gone 3am. Go back to sleep Wills, i'll be gone when you reawaken" "Dont...dont remind me" she said as she leaned into him. "At least you get to see Elly later" he said as he kissed her forehead. "Its just going to be a long three weeks without you" she said before asking "How long do we have left?" "Two, maybe three hours max" Matt replied as Willow kissed him before saying "Best make these hours last" as she climbed on top of him and for one final time, they ended up sleeping together.
