Gopher has false labor pains
Gopher was going to wait it out as he sat with Vicki as Merrill was backing out the ship cause he did not want to leave her side cause she was really scared of what was going to happen as well if she was left alone like she was that day so when her dad was on the bridge or close by someone had to be with her to make sure she was not going to be hurt by anyone and Gopher of course volunteered to do this cause he felt it was his fault that Vicki was like it even though Merrill told him it wasn't his fault at all it was the crew members that were working on board at the time fault that she fell overboard
"Gopher you okay?" Vicki asks him cause she was worried about him since her dad was on the bridge and he was with her
"Just a stomach ache right now from something that I ate is all I shall be fine soon I hope once it passes" he says as he was covering up for his bump cause he was in fact pregnant and she must of lost her memory a little bit when she got thrown overboard cause she was really helping him out and I guess that went up in smoke right now and no one was going to help him out once he has the baby cause he was on his own full force and he was kind of okay with that and he was hoping that his mom was still going to be there as well to help him out cause he was going to be juggling a lot as well like work and being a single parent too and he was not fully ready to do both at the same time right now
"Gopher you okay?" Merrill asks him cause he saw that Gopher was in a lot of pain right now, and he was worried that something was really wrong with him
"I think this might be you know what" Gopher says as he was still breathing right now cause he might be thinking that this was the real thing and he did not want to scare Vicki so bad she did not want to be around him either
Merrill was going to call Doc and see if he could come up and take a look at Gopher then go from there as well cause Merrill was hoping that this wasn't it and the baby waits a while longer to come cause he was going to be with Gopher in the delivery room when it happens cause he was not going to let Gopher go through this alone as well, so if this was the real thing he was going to see if the deputy captain can come to the bridge and steer the ship as he was with Gopher cause the two of them go way back to when he got the job and Merrill wanted to be there for him cause Gopher was there for him when he was raising Vicki
"Don't worry Gopher Doc is going to check you out and see what is going on cause it could be stress that is causing you to go into preterm labor, so picture a nice scene right now" Merrill says as he was helping Gopher right now cause Gopher was really scared of what was going to happen as well and Merrill wanted to keep him calm cool and collected as well until they waited to see what was really going on with Gopher and why he was having labor pains already when he was not full term yet
Doc comes and he takes Gopher to the exam room to check him over and see what was going on and he sees that the stress put him in preterm labor so he was going to admit Gopher and get him started on some medication to help with the contractions and see if they could be stop and if they could be stop Gopher was going to be on bedrest for the rest of his pregnancy as well and he was going to do so much and can only be on his feet for a certain number of hours as well and Gopher knew what had to be done to save him and save the baby as well
"Gopher just relax" Doc says as he was going to start the medicine to help Gopher and stop the contractions
Merrill was going to be with Gopher cause Julie decided to bond with Vicki cause Merrill though she needed a woman figure in her life right now and Julie was the closet one to that as well so Merrill though Julie could help Vicki adjust to being a woman again and Merrill can help her in a different department like help her remember what she does on the ship cause she would not feel safe with boarding and helping with the passengers like she did before and he was going to see what she could do when they board and when they deboard as well cause she will not feel comfortable doing that for quite sometime so she was going to be on the bridge with him and helping him guide the ship out and guide the ship back into port as well cause Merrill has a difficult time driving the ship
"Thanks for being with me sir" Gopher says as he was trying to relax and stay calm right now cause he was a nervous wreck both for him and the baby
"Welcome Gopher cause I know you will be there for me when Vicki starts to come back around and that is not going to be for a while and maybe you can help me think of what she can do when the passengers board and when they deboard" Merrill says cause being on the bridge may be a bad idea right now for Vicki and he had to think of something else
"She could pass out the streamers and confetto when we shove off" Gopher suggested to him cause they were really thinking on what Vicki could do
