"You called for me, sir?"

Nick Fury looked up from his desk. "Agent Barton," He growls, "I've got a new assignment for you." Fury hands over a folder he had on his desk.

Taking it, Barton scans it quickly. "If I may ask, sir, why is this person a priority for me to track? He seems like a normal civilian."

"This man arrived with Tony Stark coming back from Afghanistan," Fury sighs, "and thus far we have nearly no intel on him, only that his first name is Harry, and that, from a recording of his voice, he is European. Furthermore, I'm sure you've heard of the... altercation at Stark Industries?"

Barton nods. "Where Stark fought Stane? Along with another third unknown- You suspect this unknown is this guy?"

"I'm not making any assumption yet, Barton," Fury frowns, "But I will once I hear your report next Thursday."

"Yes sir."

The phone rang. Checking caller ID, Harry sighed. "Wondered if he'd ever call me," he murmurs, hitting the accept button.

"Harry! How you doin?" Tony asked, casually.

Harry scoffed. "I've been at home, relaxing. I've seen you on the news. Building suits, wrecking other peoples suits... you seem to be having fun."

Tony's cocky grin could almost be seen through the phone. "The news isn't the only place you've seen me though, eh? You know what I'm talking about."

Harry sighed. It was true, he had helped Tony in person against Obadiah Stane's Iron Monger suit, and had let Tony figure out his identity easily. "Yes, I do, Tony."

"Well good, 'cause I almost thought I was wrong, because you didn't call me, and well, my reputation would be ruined if I was wrong," Tony snarked.

"Well, besides pleasantries, is there any other reason you called? It's been weeks," Harry replied.

Tony's voice turned serious. "Actually, there is. I'm moving to New York," he said, "And I'm gonna build a huge tower. And you'll come with me, right? You're like, my only friend, not counting this spy guy, Agent."

Harry blinked. That was unexpected. "Tony, there is no way I'm going to New York with you and your dream to build a tower."

Tony and Harry walked out the airport.

"Welcome to New York!" exclaimed Tony.

"How'd you get me to agree to this, again, Tony?" Harry grumbled.

Tony scoffed. "Obviously, I used my infinite amounts of charm to convince you."

Harry rolled his eyes. "Well, Tony, how 'bout you show me where you plan to build this 'Stark Tower' of yours?"

Tony grinned.

Harry slumped on the couch of his hotel room. Tony had spent the whole day showing him the site of his future tower, and rambling about how "cool" and "awesome" it'd be. Harry checked his watch. It was around 4 PM. He got off the couch, and decided to go take a look around the area. Walking around the full streets of New York, he came across a small cafe. Entering it, he was greeted by the smell of coffee. Quickly taking a seat on a stool by the counter, he ordered some tea, and started to relax.

"Here's your tea, sir," the waiter said, sliding a mug of tea across the counter. Harry could tell he had slid it too hard, and way off course, and in a second it was going to slide off the edge. He motioned to grab it, but before he could, a teenage boy, around 17 years old, snatched it out of the air.

"Thanks," Harry said, hiding his amazement at the boy's fast reflexes.

"It's no problem," the boy responded.

"What's your name?" Harry asked, curiously.

The boy looked at him. "I'm Peter. Peter Parker."

Harry smiled. "Nice to meet you, Peter Parker."

Harry felt something was a little... off about the boy. He quickly used Legilimency to do a quick, brief scan of the forefront of Peter's mind. He was shocked at what he found. After finishing his tea, he returned to the hotel. However, he wasn't going to sleep just yet.

Barton made a note in his little notepad, as he crouched on a rooftop of the hotel across from his target. The target has just visited a cafe, after spending the day with Tony Stark, viewing the area for his new tower, Barton wrote, he seems to be going to bed now. Barton stared at the target's room. The lights were still on, and he just caught a glimpse of the door opening and closing. Scratching out his previous words, he put away the notepad, found the target exiting the hotel, and started to follow him. Leaping from rooftop to rooftop, Barton tracked Harry's path through the city. Finally, Harry ducked into a dark alley. Barton jumped across another rooftop to be able to see him clearly. He paused for a second, looking at the small alley that the target had ducked into. He pulled out his notepad. I've lost track of the target.

Harry emerged from apparition in another alley in New York. He had known he was being watched. He hesitated before moving. He had ditched his stalker, but was suiting up and doing what he'd planned to do this night really important enough to risk being caught out again? He decided, ultimately, that even if he was found, he could escape at any time. He donned his cloak, and jumped on his broom. He had a spider to find.

Zooming around the area, Harry finally saw Peter Parker, wearing the red and blue costume Harry had seen in his mind. As he was approaching, he noticed Peter fling a sort of string from his wrist, and swing away towards a convenience store. After casting a Disillusionment Charm on himself, Harry followed. Peter was in the alley next to the store. There were two crooks, seemingly held by the strings Peter had been flinging earlier.

"You guys gotta stop this," he snarked, "Robbing stores and stuff, you know I'll catch you."

"You brat!" spat one of the crooks, "you freakish little-" Any other words he might've had were cut off by a glob of weird string-substance covering his mouth.

Peter took a moment to revel in his victory, then used his string to pull himself up to the roof. Harry quickly flew down, and landed on the roof. Casting a quick Finite Incantatem on himself, he called the self dubbed "Spider-Man" out.

"Hey!"

Spider-Man turned around, and his eyes instantly widened dramatically "Woah! You're the dude who helped Iron Man take down Iron Monger!"

Harry chuckled. "Yes, I am. I noticed your fine handiwork with those crooks down there."

Spider-Man looked down at them, and stuttered out "Oh yeah, them? There are a lot of bad people in my neighborhood. I'm trying to stop some of them, make this place better."

Harry smiled. "And it is working... Peter"

Spider-Man was shocked. "How did you know?"

Harry flipped off his hood. "Back at the cafe, I saw your amazing reflexes at catching that mug. After that, all I had to do was come exploring the area, and I found you here."

Spider-Man was confused. "But why were you looking for me?"

Harry sighed. "You're doing some good here, Peter, but you can't do it alone. Judging by the fact you're wearing goggles and a ripped hoodie, I'd say you could use some help. I've got a friend who I'm sure would be happy to help you, just as I would be."

Spider-Man was taken aback. "Really? Who's this friend?"

Harry grinned. "His name is Tony Stark. You might've heard of him."

"Tony Stark! Of course you know him, you fought together! Well, I appreciate your offer for help, but if you mean you're just gonna give me money or something I'm gonna have to decline."

"Oh no!" Harry assured him, "It won't be like that. Tony's actually heard of you before, seen some news footage of you. He thought your designs on your "Web-Slingers" was amazing, but he said that he could help you achieve new things at Stark Industries. By help, I mean a job, and personal help from us, to keep the whole city safe."

Spider-Man thought about it. It was extremely tempting. He was good with tech, but his low budget kept him from really becoming better. With Stark Industries, he could achieve new heights, do new things! And with Tony Stark personally involved, he could really change the city, and honor Uncle Ben. "I'll take that offer, sir, thank you."

"No, Peter," Harry said, "Thank you."

"Welcome to Stark Industries, then Peter," said Tony, "You know, when I was talking to Harry about you, I wasn't expecting him to track you down and convince you to join."

Harry laughed. "I wasn't expecting to find him in a cafe randomly, but stuff happens, Tony!"

"Hey, whatever it is, I'm happy you found me!" Peter said ecstatically, "This is better than I ever could of thought!"

Tony grinned. "Hows the new suit working? Feel alright?"

Peter nodded fervently. "It's perfect, Mr. Stark, thank you!"

"It's what I do," Tony said, extremely cockily, head held high, "I help make the world a greater place."

Harry rolled his eyes.

"Agent Barton, how could you lose your target when he'd just walked down a small alley, with only one entrance and exit?"

"I don't know, sir, he was there one second then he was gone."

Fury nodded his understanding. "Agent Barton, what do you think happened?"

Barton thought for a second, then answered. "I think that this guy is either from a foreign Intelligence Agency like ours, or is enhanced. There's no other way he could've escaped in that situation. He definitely is not just a normal civilian."

Fury nodded again. "Alright, Agent Barton. Dismissed."

Barton left Fury's office, as Fury contemplated the mystery of Harry.
