„Ted hurry our we will be late!" Chara shouted while she ran over the train station Kings Cross to get to platform 9 ¾. "Calm down Scar we still have enough time", laughed Ted who was running beside her. When they reached the barrier, they leaned against it inconspicuously and thus got onto the platform. "To bad we can't go back", Chara sighed as she saw the train. Ted took her hand and squeezed it. "Come on", said Ted and nodded down the train. "Do you see them?" Chara asked and looked up to him. In such moments she was glad that he, at just under 1.90m, could see over most people. He nodded and pulled her through the crowd. As they fought their way through the people, she could see Draco Malfoy at the edge. As it seemed his son would travel to Hogwarts for the first time as well. Finally they reached their destiny. "Hi guys", Ted greeted his family grinning. Harry, who had been talking with Albus looked up and smiled as he saw his godson and his girlfriend. "Ted, Chara what are you doing here?" he asked. "We wanted to wish a good school year to James and Al", said Ted and looked around. "Where's James anyway?" he wanted to know. Harry only shrugged and while Ted was speaking with him Chara turned to Albus. "Hi Al are you alright?" she asked him. He shrugged. "What's wrong?" she wanted to know. "James always says that I'll be sorted into Slytherin", Albus mumbled. "And you worry about it?" Chara asked. Albus nodded. "Al, that wouldn't be bad the most people from my family where in Slytherin." "Dad said something similar", Albus admitted. "See, beside your Dad almost got there himself", whispered Chara. Ted had told her this once, Harry had told him his story before he went to Hogwarts and also that the sorting hat had almost sorted him into Slytherin and as much as she knew his children didn't knew about this that's why she thought it would calm Albus down. The boy looked baffled at her with his green eyes. She crouched down so she could look him in the eyes. "Do you see the boy over there?" Chara said and pointed to Draco and his son. Albus nodded. "That's Scorpius he's my cousin and will probably be sorted into Slytherin and he surely could need a friend." Chara had already met the boy several times in St. Mungos, that's why she knew that his mother was seriously ill and probably wouldn't live too much longer and he seemed to be a really nice boy. "Dad says that all Malfoys are evil", Albus said and looked at Chara. She shook her head. "He doesn't like his father, but that doesn't mean that you and he can't be friends. I mean just in case you get sorted into Slytherin you would have someone there who could be your friend", Chara said and stood up as a whistle rang out. "Al you should get into the train or it will leave without you", said Harry and hugged his son goodbye. Albus got into the train which left shortly after. "Let's go", Ted said and wrapped his arms around Chara. As they both had the day off, they decided to roam around London for a while. "What were you talking about with Al?" Ted wanted to know. "That there's nothing wrong with being a Slytherin and that he maybe can befriend Scorpius", said Chara. Ted smiled and pulled Chara close. "You are incorrigible when it comes to helping people," he said. "Don't forget that you love me for this", she said grinning and caught his lips in a soft kiss.

It was Sunday before September first and Chara and Ted at on the couch in the house of the Potters. "Are you alright Harry?" Ted asked and put his tea cup on the side table. Harry sighed and grabbed a cookie. "I'm worried about Al", he said. "What's with him?" Chara wanted to know. "I don't know. He has changed so much. Last year he burned his permit for Hogsmeade. I can't shake of the feeling that it has something to do with the Malfoy boy." Chara bit her lip so she didn't scream at him. Unlike Harry she knew that Scorpius was almost Albus only friend at Hogwarts and the others mostly made fun of him because he hadn't been good with spells in his first year and still had some difficulties. "Have you tried to talk to him?" Ted wanted to know. Harry shook his head. "He's so unapproachable. Not like James or Lily", he said with a sigh. "Harry Albus is different you'll only have to find to right way to approach him", said Chara and smiled dull. Harry sighed again. "You'll work this out", Ted said encouraging. "You're probably right I'll only have to try harder."

Albus followed his father scowling something had gone wrong with the time turner. His father acted even stranger than normally and his uncle Ron seemed to be a whole different person. They turned a corner and Albus heard laughter and little feet hitting the ground. "Grandpa!" a young voice cried out. Harry and Albus turned into the direction from which the voice came. Albus was startled when a girl of about four pounced on Harry. Why did she call his Dad Grandpa, neither him nor his sibling had a child, especially not a four year old. Harry bend down to catch the girl and lifted her up as he stood back up. "Dora what are you doing here?" Harry wanted to know. "Looking for you granny Ginny said that you're here. Hello uncle Al", the girl chattered. "Hi", Albus said confused he had never seen the little one in his life before. Just now Albus realized that someone else was in the hallway. "Hello Harry, Albus", Chara greeted the to as she approached. "Hello Chara what are you two doing here?" asked Harry. Chara sighed and reached with her hands for the little girl. Without protesting, the girl let her take her in her arms. "Ginny said you'd be here. I was wondering if you knew where my good-for-nothing husband was?" Albus only realized now how tired Chara looked and frowned, since when was she married and especially to who? Harry shook his head. "No I haven't seen him for a while. Is everything alright?" Harry wanted to know. "Nothing's alright. I wanted to talk about something with him and as usual the idiot didn't listen to me and just disappeared. I could kill him", Chara hissed. "Shall I try to speak with him?" Harry asked. Chara shook her head. "It's no use, you know how stubborn Ted can be." "Since when are you and Ted married?" Albus blurted out. "Yeah. We got married right after graduation but you know that Al", Chara said confused, shifting the child's weight in her arms. "Then she's your daughter?" "Aren't you feeling well uncle Al?" the girl asked and looked at him with her big dark eyes. "Al cut the crap you know full well Chara got pregnant unplanned before graduation," Harry said angrily. Albus blinked he couldn't imagine that Ted who was always so thoughtful and controlled impregnated his girlfriend. "Is he alright?" he heard Chara ask. "He's been acting so weird all day," Harry muttered, shaking his head. Chara sighed. "However, if you see Ted tell him that he can pack his things and sleep on someone's couch the next days. I don't want to see him." "But Mommy Daddy", Dora sobbed and looked with glassy eyes up at her mother. "It's alright sweety, Daddy and I will always love you even if we fight sometimes", Chara assured her daughter. She looked back at Albus and Harry and smiled weakly. "See you", she said goodbye and disappeared down the corridor. Albus still couldn't believe what he had just seen.

Scorpius had told the rebels what he had already told Snape. "I don't know if I can believe this", said Hermione and crossed her arms in front of her chest. "Granger he knows about Lily and only a few people know about that, he can't possible know it from someone else if his story isn't true", said Snape. "And what are we going to do now?" Ron wanted to know. Silence, then steps came from the stairs and a young women entered the room. "Oh what's going on here?" she asked and looked at the gathering in front of her. "Chara?" Scorpius asked confused. He had seen his cousin only once or twice before but she looked completely different. Her normally shoulder-length curly hair was cut short. Her arms were covered in several scars and on her neck he could see the tip of a tattoo. Her clothes were completely dark. "Look my dear cousin. What are you doing here scorpion king?" she asked and crossed the room. Scorpius' eyes followed her. "He isn't the Scorpius you know Black", Snape said. Chara only snorted and kicked the pile in the corner of the room with the toe of her shoe. "Hi flea bag weak up", she said and kicked harder. Immediately the pile jumped up and Scorpius only realized now that it was a person. "Let me be Black" the young man growled and rose. "You should be grateful that we accept you here Lupin", she hissed back. The young man looked at her menacingly before turning to the table and taking a bottle of firewhisky from it and taking a big swig. "Ted must that be?" Hermione asked him. "Ted?" Scorpius was confused. Ted wiped his mouth with his arm. "I don't look like you know me, do I?" Ted asked and laughed nasty. His hair were unkempt and reached his chin. He looked pretty neglected. "No and why are you acting so strange you and Chara aren't usually like this with each other. "What do you mean?" Chara asked and stepped beside Ted. "Well you've been together since you graduated, but act like you've just fallen in love", Scorpius explained. Chara and Ted looked at each other and then started laughing. "Sorry but that's absurd I could never bee with a werewolf", Chara said after she had calmed down. "You're a werewolf?" Scorpius asked and looked shocked at Ted. Ted grinned evilly and stepped closer. "Yeah and I can smell that you're scared of me", he said while he went around Scorpius. "Let him be Ted", Ron told him. "Yeah, yeah", Ted waved of and took another swig of firewhisky. Snape, Ron and Hermione discussed something but neither Chara nor Ted paid attention to them, finally the three left with Scorpius. "Do you think what he said was true?" Chara wanted to know after a while. Ted who was sitting on the table by now looked up at her. She hadn't said it but she had heard everything at the top of the stairs. "And if so", said Ted. "It doesn't change anything." Chara shook her head. "You should drink less", she said before she left the room.

Chara startled out of her sleep, her breathing was rapid and her heart raced. She tried to take deep breaths to calm down from her nightmare. "Scar?" she heard Teds sleepy voice asking. There was a rustling sound and then she felt his hand on her shoulder. "Are you alright?" he asked. He had sat up and was looking at her worriedly. Chara nodded. "Just a nightmare", she mumbled. Ted smiled lovingly at her and brushed a strand of hair from her face. Then he wrapped an arm around her shoulder and pulled her back on the bed with him. "Don't worry I'm with you", Ted whispered and kissed the top of Chara's head. She sighed in surrender and snuggled closer to him, resting her head on his chest. The steady beating of his heart calmed her and she was glad that this was not like her dream and that she had Ted by her side.
