Before we start, I want you all to know that I've posted my new story The Phantom Of Berseria, and I hope you like it. And while I planned for this chapter to just be Gusios chapter, but it was too short, so I decided to add Relewiese to this chapter as well. Now onto chapter 36.
Chapter 36
A Day Of Earth And Wind
Oliver P.O.V.
After flying for a bit, and chatting about Hugo and Judith starting to date along the way, plus having to deal with a sad Raven. We found ourselves one a small piece of land made out of glass like crystal, every step we took sounded like something was breaking, the only thing that was on the island was a massive crystal maze. So chances are it's where we'll find the Entelexeia that lives here.
"This looks like the center of the crystallization." Yuri said to everyone. "It's beautiful… Like we're in a dream." Estelle said to everyone. "Or in a legend. Back home, there are stories of a pokemon called Diancie, who rules over Carbink in a kingdom of giant diamonds." Ava said to everyone.
"But they're not diamonds. It's aer that crystallized at low density… Is this mana? I have to take a sample." Rita said to everyone. "This entire forest is a treasure! But it likely won't fit on the ship…" Patty said to everyone. "Just how do they come up with such different reactions?" Raven asked everyone. "In either case, neither of them will take any of the crystals." Hugo said to Raven, before tapping a crystal, breaking it.
"They just shatter! Hah hah hah! This is fun!" Karol said, before breaking a few more crystals. "You're so stupid. Nature didn't make this, you know." Rita said to Karol. "Huh? What do you mean?" Karol asked Rita. "The center of a new land that just crystallized… Somewhere around here is the one who made that happen." Judith said to everyone. "And an aer krene." Rita said to everyone, before Repede, Manectric, and Houndoom started to bark.
"What's up, you three? Found something?" Yuri asked them. That's when we noticed crystals that were already smashed and footsteps. "This is…" Rita said to everyone. "Someone crushed these crystals… and it wasn't us." Karol said to everyone. "What curious fellow would venture all the way out here?" Patty asked everyone.
"Thieves. thinking they could make a profit, maybe?" Ava asked everyone. "Looks like someone got here before us. Watch out." Yuri said to everyone. "Then. Noivern, care to lead the way." Hugo said to Noivern. "Noivern." Noivern said, nodding yes, and using his ears to guide us through the place.
As we walked through the place, Noivern stopped. "Noivern!" Noivern said, as his tail turned silver. Noivern then whipped his tail, knocking something flying at us. The thing hit the crystal wall, and we noticed Nan's giant crescent moon blade, reforged back into one blade.
"That weapon…!" Judith said to everyone. "Nan." Karol said, as we noticed Nan nearby, having a hard time standing, and had many bandages wrapped around her. "Well look who's alive." I said, as we grabbed our weapons, but didn't pull them out. Then Nan dropped to her knees. "I warn you. The Hunting Blades are currently patrolling the area. Leave at…" Nan said to us, before she fell to the ground. "I think I spoke too soon." I said to everyone, as Karol and Estelle ran to Nan. The rest of us walked to Nan, as Karol and Estelle kneeled to Nan's sides.
"These wounds are terrible…" Estelle said as she healed Nan. "Could they be from when she fell?" Ava asked Estelle. "No, those wounds are healed, and left scars. This is something else." Estelle said to Ava. "Come on, Nan!" Karol asked Nan, as Estelle finished healing. Nan opened her eyes. "Karol…" Nan said, noticing Karol.
"What are you doing alone!? Where's the boss and Tison?" Karol asked Nan, as she sat up. "Master and the others went on…" Nan said to Karol. "In other words, you were left behind." I said to Nan. "What!? They left you behind!? The Boss is one thing but I can't believe Tison wouldn't take you… What happened?" Karol asked Nan. "We found up fighting our target here. I-I couldn't do anything, just like always… Master said it's because I had doubts." Nan said to everyone.
"Doubts?" Karol asked Nan. "I hate monsters. The same could be said of Pokemon. They shouldn't be alive. I still feel that way. But now, at a time like this, hunting monsters isn't that important. There are other things we should be doing… When I told him that…" Nan said to everyone, with Hugo getting mad. "They up and left you." Raven said to Nan.
"Fools. With everything the way it is, how can they not take another look at their lives." Judith asked everyone. "Because. In their quest to slay all the monsters they have become monsters and must be put down." Hugo said to Judith, before walking over to Nan and placing one of his blades on Nan's neck. "Time to put this monster down." Hugo said to everyone. "Hugo, wait!" Karol said to Hugo.
"Why? She hurt my city, she helped kill my people, and she is a treat to our Pokemon. Why shouldn't I put her down like the monster she is?" Hugo asked Karol. "Please Hugo." Karol said to Hugo. "My love. Killing her won't bring back those you've lost. She deserves to stand trial for her crimes, so all may find peace with what they have lost." Judith said to Hugo, placing a hand on his chest. Hugo huffed and moved away from Nan. "Fine. but when this is over, she's going to pay for her crimes." Hugo said to everyone.
"Hey, the Hunting Blades are after Entelexeia, right?" Yuri asked Nan. "We should hurry." Rita said to everyone. "Yeah." Yuri said to everyone. "Nan, can you walk?" Karol asked Nan. "Huh? Yeah, but…" Nan said, but Hugo interrupted her. "But nothing. You're coming with us." Hugo said to Nan, forcing her up and onto her feet. "Hugo, be careful with her." Estelle said to Hugo, before we all started to walk again, leaving Nan's weapon.
After a bit, we found the Hunting Blades in a pool of aer, most of them were scattered on the ground, alive, but very hurt. The only two standing were Clint and Tison, with Tison missing his left hand and had a blade attached to his arm where his hand was, and his long white hair showing.
"Gusios!" Judith said. "That's Gusios?! Back at Caer Bocram…" Karol said to everyone. "So the Hunting Blades have a history with him." Yuri said to everyone. "And so do we. But that does explain the way he was looking at me and Blastoise." I said to everyone. "So which one of them is our bucko?" Patty asked everyone. "Which one is… what now?" Raven asked Patty. "She asked which one is our alley. And the answer is neither." I said to Raven. Then Judith, Hugo, and their Pokemon got ready to charge. "Judith, Hugo, wait. Something's wrong!" Estelle said to them, before they ran.
That's when we heard Tison yell. That's when we saw him charge at Gusios, and get sent flying like a piece of trash. "Master!" Nan said. "Ugh! Why? Why won't anything hurt it?!" Clint asked, as Gusios started to eat the aer. "It's eating the aer. But this is…" Rita said to everyone, but was stopped when Nan ran threw us and to Clint and Tison. "Nan! It's too dangerous!" Karol said to Nan. but she didn't listen and kept running. That's when we started to ran.
"Nan… What are you doing here?" Clint asked Nan, as she reached them. "You don't know what you're doing! I told you you'd just get in the way!" Tison said to Nan. "Run! There's nothing you can do here!" Clint said to Nan. "No. The guild is my family. I can't just leave you to die!" Nan said to them. "Damn it!" Tison said. "Nan!" Karol said, as we reached them. "You…" Clint said to Karol.
"Gusios, calm down! Tell me what happened!" Judith asked Gusios. But Gusios just used his tail, and whipped Clint, Tison, and Nan away. Then Undine and Efreet showed up. "Undine!" Estelle said. "Efreet." Hugo said. "Wh-what is that…?" Clint asked. "A spirit." Judith said to Clint. "A creature born from our bond with Pokemon." Ava said to Clint. "A spirit. Born from a bond with monsters?" Nan asked.
"Gusios. You…" Undine said. "Undine. What happened to him?" Yuri asked Undine. "It doesn't look like he's in the mood for talking!" Raven asked Undine. "Yeah. He looks like he's going berserk." I said to Undine. "Even Entelexeia cannot ingest limitless amounts of aer. Those who ingest more than they can endure… change. And… become Adephagos themselves." Undine said to us.
"No!" Rita said. "What?!" Yuri asked. "So that's how the Adephagos was born." I said to everyone. "So he got like this by trying to protect the world." Yuri said. "Gusios." Judith said. "Save him, while he is still Gusios…" Efreet asked us. "Right." Yuri said to Efreet. "Okay." Estelle said to Efreet. "We'll save him." Ava said to Efreet, before we started to fight, with us all Mega Evolved our Pokemon, with me Mega Evolving Blastoise.
"Blastoise/Cramerant use Scald." Patty and I said to Blastoise and Cramerant. "Blastoise/Cramerant." Blastoise and Cramerant said, before they fired four streams of hot water, with one of the streams from Cramernat's mouth, and the other three streams from all Blastoise cannons.
While this did burn Gusios a little, Gusios was now soaked. "Manectric use Thunderbolt." I said to Manectric. "Manectric." Manectric said, as he fired a bolt of electricity at Gusios. With the help of the water, Gusios took a lot of damage.
"Houndoom use Solar Beam and Delphox Shock Wave." Ava said to Houndoom and Delphox, as she and Raven fired arrows at Gusios, but Gusios hide was too thick from their arrows. "Houndoom." Houndoom said, as she started to gather solar energy. "Delphox." Delphox said, as she pulls out its sticks from her arms then snot electricity out of it at Gusios.
With Gusios, still a little soaked, the electricity hurt Gusios, but not as much as the electricity from Manectric. "Houndoom." Houndoom said, as she fired a large green energy beam at Gusios, making Gusios slide back a little. But Gusios shook off the damage and charged at us, and planned to stomp us.
"Gallade use Leaf Blade. And Noivern use Iron Tail." Hugo said to Gallade and Noivern. "Gallade." Gallade said, as his arm blades glowed green. "Noivern." Noivern said, as his tail turned silver. Then Gallade and Noivern used their attacks to stop Gusios' attack. Then Hugo jumped up, and his blades became long flame blades. Hugo then came down on Gusios, and made Gusios roar in pain, and move back. "Oh I like this." Hugo said, as the flames faded away.
Gusios then recovered from this, and tried to stomp stomp on Hugo and his Pokemon. But they jumped back in time, dodging the attack. "Bisharp use Iron Head. Banette use Shadow Claw." Yuri said to Bisharp and Banette, as me, Yuri, and Judith charged at Gusios. "Bisharp." Bisharp said, as he charged, with his head glowing sliver, and as a little rough. "Banette." Banette said, as he charged, with his claws wrapped in black energy with a purple outline.
Gusios saw us coming, and used his massive arms to block all of our attacks. "Blastoise use Water Pulse." I said to Balstoise, as we jumped away from Gusios. "Slowbro you use Water Pulse too." Patty said to Slowbro, as she fired a few shots at Gusios. But the shots bounced off Gusios like they were nothing. "Blastoise." Blastoise said, as he fired three balls of water at Gusios. "Slowbro." Slowbro said, as she fired a ball of water from her mouth. The balls of water hit Gusios in the face, making him shake his head, shaking off the water.
"Reuniclus use Energy Ball and Metagross use Zen Headbutt." Rita said to Reuniclus and Metagross, as she charged up a fireball spell. "Reuniclus." Reuniclus said, as she considered green energy into a sphere. Reuniclus and Rita threw their attacks at Gusios' head, not dealing a lot of damage to Gusios, but blinding him. "Metagross." Metagross said, as his X glowed light blue, and he charged at Gusios. Metagross rammed into Gusios' head. This gave Gusios a headache.
"Sableye use Power Gem. And Excadrill Smart Strike." Raven said to Sableye and Excadrill. "Sableye." Sableye said, as he fired energy beams of energy from his gem. Gusios used one of his arms to block the energy beams. "Excadrill." Excadrill said, as a target symbol appeared in his eyes, Excadrill then charged at Gusios, and stopped right under Gusios' chest. Excadrill then rammed his horn into Gusios' chest, creaking some of Gusios' stone hide.
"Flygon use Earthquake and Salamence use Outrage." Judith said to Flygon and Salamence. "Flygon." Flygon said, as he flew into the air, and slammed his tail into the back of Gusios, forcing Gusios into the ground, breaking some of Gusios' stone hide and causing the place to shake, breaking a few of the crystals. Then Salamence let out some red energy and went on a rampage, slamming into Gusios' back, forcing him deeper into ground, breaking more of Gusios stone hide, and causing more shaking and crystals breaking.
Gusios then started to dig himself out of the ground. "Mawile use Iron Head. and Gogoat use Leaf Blade." Karol said, as he got onto Gogoat's back. "Mawile." Mawile said, as her pony tails turned silver and rough, and she jumped unto Gogoat's back. "Gogoat." Gogoat said, as he charged at Gusios, with his horns flipping, and turning into a green glowing blade.
As Gusios finally dug himself out of the ground, Gogoat and karol were able to use their blades and leave deep slashes in Gusios stone armor. As they rode past Gusios, Mawile jumped off Gogoat's back and slammed both her Ponytails into Gusios chest, breaking a lot of Gusios stone hide.
Gusios then tried to tail with us. But Estelle used her shield and made a water wall to block the attack. "Togekiss and Audino use Dazzling Gleam." Estelle said to Togekiss and Audino. "Togekiss/ Audino." The two of them said, before letting out a blinding multi-colored light.
This binded Gusios. That's when we noticed the hole in Gusios' stone hide. "Ava, Raven. Aim for the weak spot." I said to them. "Right." Ava and Raven said to me, as they shot their arrows. Then with Ava's last arrow, Ava hit Gusios' weak spot, and defeated Gusios.
Then Gusios let out a blanding light, and turned into an apatheia. "Gusios… I'm sorry…" Judith said to Gusios. "I'm sure he understands." Ava said, as she took Gusios' apatheia, and held it close to her. That's when we noticed Tison holding up Clint, and Nan standing behind us. "What? He's gone. Now you want to hate this too?" Yuri asked Clint.
"That's the soul of that monster. I've got to crush it." Clint said to us. This made Hugo charge at Clint, kicking Tison into Nan, grabbing Clint, knocking Clint's weapons out of his hands, and held a flaming blade to Clint's neck. "Hugo, wait!" I said to Hugo. Hugo didn't move, but he also didn't finish Clint.
"He's not a monster! They were trying to protect the world!" Estelle said to Clint. "This is something even a sea slug could understand with a bit of thought." Patty said to Clint. "I don't care what the Entelexeia were for!" Clint said to everyone. "You knew. All this time, you knew what the Entelexeia were." Yuri said to Clint. "You knew and you still hunted them?! With the world like it is?!" Karol asked Clint. "Explain why. NOW!" Hugo asked Clint
"Ten years ago, the Entelexeia killed my family. And it's not just me. Most of the Hunting Blades have lost something important to monsters…" Clint said to Hugo. "So did my people, when you raided my city. What do you have to say?!" Hugo asked Clint. "No matter what happens to the world, my feelings for these… things… will never change!" Clint said to Hugo.
"But you're wrong." Karol said to Clint. "What?" Clint asked Karol, as Nan and Tsion got up. "No matter what you do, you can't bring anyone back." Karol said to Clint. "You aren't the only ones who lost loved ones in the war." Raven said to Clint. "But some try to be positive, and keep living." Judith said to Clint. "You can't save anyone, yourself included, if all you do is lash out in hatred. Instead, you should treasure the ones who are still here." Patty said to Clint.
"I think it's admirable to protect a city from monsters. But…" Estelle said to Clint. "But you've gone too far. Your hatred has turned you into a monster. How many innocent people and Pokemon have you killed in your quest to kill monsters?" I asked Clint. But Clint stayed quiet.
"Don't just be pig-head about it. Do it when the world is, you know. OK." Yuri said to Clint. "It's too late for me to change." Clink said to everyone. "Humph. If you're going to get in our way… then we'll let Hugo end it." Yuri said to Clink. "I have a better idea." Hugo said before pulling back his flame blade. Hugo then slashed Clint's right eye, leaving a deep burn scar.
"Consider us even for now. Now get out of my sight before you and your guild lose your head." Hugo said to Clint. Clint looked at Karol, who was standing tall, with his good eye, while a hand covered his right eye. Clint then picked up his sword and walked away from us. "Please wait! Let me at least heal you…" Estelle said to Clint, but Hugo stopped her. "Leave them. Consider it part of their punishment for Nordopolica." Hugo said to Estelle.
"Get up, you maggots! We're withdrawing!" Clint said to everyone. Then the Hunting Blade started to leave. But then Nan ran to us. "Thank you." Nan said to us, before leaving. "I wonder if he understood…" Karol asked everyone. "Who knows." Yuri said to Karol. "In any case. Him and his guild are less of a threat for now." Hugo said to everyone. "So, let's make a spirit." Judith said to everyone.
"Right." Estelle said, before focusing energy into the apathia. The energy from the apathia went into Ava. Then all of Ava's Pokemon came out of their Pokeballs. Then the energy flowed out of Ava and into her Pokemon. The streams went through Ava's Pokemon and went into the apatheia, making it half bury itself in the ground, then the ground burst, shouting out large rocks.
When the rocks disappeared, a small block like a horse, with a long tail with a few bumps on its tail, that turned up at a 90 degree angle. "I… guess it worked?" Rita asked everyone. "But he's not opening his eyes or moving or anything!" Patty asked Rita, as Ava put a hand on Gusios. "He's okay. He's just tired." Ava said to everyone.
"His consciousness itself was nearly taken. He will not for a while. Now, give him a name." Efreet said in our heads. "What's his element?" Estelle asked Efreet. "A power rooted deep within the world… Earth itself." Undine said in our heads. "Earth… Hmm… The spreader of roots. Gnome." Estelle said to everyone. "Gnome. I like it." Ava said to everyone. "The spirit of earth, Gnome." Karol said. "Let us tell him once he awakens." Undine said in our heads, before Gnome disappeared.
"I can't believe Entelexeia who try to control aer wind up as Adephagos." Rita said to everyone. "Humph. People can't understand anything except what they see with their own eyes." Yuri said to everyone. "So after all that happened. It turns out the worst thing in the world is people." Raven said to everyone. "Humans… we're our own worst enemy." Patty said to everyone.
"Which means we have to work that much harder." Estelle said to everyone. "She's right. And with Pokemon by our sides. We'll get there." I said to everyone. "Yeah, you're both right." Yuri said to us, before we started to leave, with Ava returning Avalugg, Vivillon, Hawlucha, and Goodra to their Pokeballs.
A few hours later, we reached Ba'ul, and Ba'ul took us into the air. Some time later Ba'ul took us to a large land mass, that was all canyons, with harsh winds blowing. And from the sky we could see Rock Type Pokemon living here. "So this is Relewiese?" Yuri asked, as we got off the boat, with his voice echoing.
"Yes, Ba'ul says it is." Judith said to everyone. "But… I don't see any aer krene or Entelexeia." Rita said to everyone. "Well, maybe it's at the bottom?" Ava asked everyone, looking over the edge and looking down. "Looks like we can take this path down…" Raven said to everyone, as we noticed a path down. "It's a long way down." Judith said to everyone. "Yes, it is." Estelle said to everyone.
"Now that is a sight to behold…" Patty said, standing on the edge, taking in the sight. "Please be careful not to fall, Patty!" Estelle said to Patty. "Karol's the one you ought to be worrying about taking a tumble here!" Patty said to Estelle. "Th-That's not true!" Karol said to everyone. "Let's get going." Yuri said to everyone. "Yes. It looks like that's all we can do." Judith said to everyone.
"Hey, why don't we just ride Ba'ul all the way to the bottom?" Rita asked everyone. "No, it's narrow, and the wind is all over the place. It's a little too dangerous." Judith said to Rita. "The wind is fierce indeed. This place must be where all the gales are born!" Patty said to everyone. "That means this valley is the mother of the wind!" Estelle said to everyone. "The mother of the wind, huh?" Karol asked everyone. "That would also explain why we saw all those Rock Types on the way in. the wind doesn't affect them." I said to everyone, as Karol looked over the edge.
"I can see a river way down at the bottom!" Karol said to everyone. "This is what happens when a river wears away at the earth for years and years." Estelle said to everyone. "Ahh, the power of nature. Who knows how long it took to make this." Raven asked everyone. "A very, very, very, long time." I said to Raven.
"Whoa! I get all dizzy when I look straight down…" Karol said to everyone, with his eyes going rolling around. "Idiot." Rita said to Karol. "Hah hah, just make sure you don't slip and fall." Yuri said to everyone. "And on that note, let's go." I said to everyone, as we all started to move down the path.
After a bit, we made it to a large open area, with Raven being tired. "Come on, lad. Heave ho! Just keep going!" Patty said to Raven. "Hey… Hang on… thi kind of stuff gets us old folks…" Raven said to Patty. "Come on, old man." Yuri said to Raven. "Yeah this is the easy part, just wait until we walk back up, after fighting an Entelexeia." I said to Raven.
This made Raven fall backwards. "He's dead." Rita said to everyone. "Oh well. Let's go." Ava said to everyone. But then Repede, Manectric, and Houndoom started to growl. "What is it?" I asked them. "Someone's coming!" Estelle said to everyone. "A person? Here?" Judith asked, as Raven got up.
That's when Duke, Absol, and Dragalge walked up to us, with Dragalge wrapped around Absol. "You…!" Duke said to us. "Duke! Appearing out of nowhere, as usual." Yuri said to Duke. "Many thanks for rescuing Yuri and Oliver." Patty said to Duke. "You all have my gratitude for saving Oliver as well." Ava said to Duke, Absol, and Dragalge. "Why are YOU TWO the ones thanking him?" Rita asked Ava and Patty. "You'll figure it out one day." Ava said to Rita.
"What are you doing here?" Duke asked us. "We heard there was an Entelexeia here. We came to ask it to become a spirit." Yuri said to Duke. "A "spirit"?" Duke asked us. "A being that comes from reincarnating an Entelexeia through an apatheia." Judith said to Duke. "We might be able to solve the aer problem completely with the spirits' power." Estelle said to Duke. "By converting aer into mana." Rita said to Duke. "And we already have three. We Were hoping the Entelexeia here would become the four one we need." I said to Duke.
"I see. That's why…" Duke said to himself. "Duke?" Yuri asked Duke. "Penny for your thoughts?" I asked Duke. "Reincarnation… converting aer… you are trying to remake the world itself. All to solve a problem that humans themselves brought about. Such arrogance." Duke said to us. "Well I don't hear you coming up with anything better." I said to Duke.
"If we don't fix the aer problem. The Adephagos will destroy the world." Yuri said to Duke. "Bekius understood. She became Undine, and is lending us her power." Estelle said to Duke. "Phaeroh, as well. He was reborn as Efreet." Judith said to Duke.
"The proper form of Terca Lumireis… is one in which all living things, including Entelexeia live in their natural state. It is the way Arceus made it. You understand that as well." Duke asked us. "But what about Gusious! He was trying to control the aer! But then he took too much and became really dangerous!" Karol said to Duke. "Yeah. I don't want to think what would have happened if we hadn't reincarnated him as Gnome." Raven said to Duke. "Chances are. He'd just become another monster of the Adephagos." Ava said to everyone.
"Indeed. Humans, Pokemon, and Entelexeia can find a way to coexist, by pushing these boundaries." Patty said to Duke. "Even so. I do not accept it. Me, Absol, and Dragalge will protect this world." Duke said to everyone. "You said that before. So just how do you plan to protect the world with Absol and Dragalge?" Yuri asked Duke. "I will not interfere with you. So do not interfere with me." Duke said to us, before walking to us.
"Ahead lies one of the oldest springs in the world. Pay it due respect." Duke said to us. "So you won't answer the main question?" Judith asked Duke. Duke said nothing to Judith. "Farewell. I doubt we shall meet again." Duke said to us, before leaving with Absol and Dragalge.
"Uh, hey! He's gone." Karol said to us, as we lost sight of him in a second. "Such a… warm and fun-loving little fellow…" Raven said to everyone. "Why does Duke's warning give me a bad feeling?" I asked everyone. "I wonder what he's trying to do?" Estelle asked everyone. "I don't know, but like Oliver, I have a bad feeling about it." Yuri said to everyone.
"Let me go ask him. Not a soul alive would refuse to answer a beautiful lass!" Patty said to everyone. "Then shouldn't Judith or Estelle try that idea?" Ava asked Patty. "What's wrong with me?" Patty asked Ava. "Patty, darlin' you just don't have the good graces for an approach like that to work." Raven said to Patty. "We're not doing that idea. Besides, something tells me Duke's not interested in humans." Hugo said to everyone.
"Rita, is something wrong?" Judith asked Rita, as we noticed Rita thinking. "Well… I bet with his sword-with Dein Nomos- we could focus the spirits' energy on the Adephagos." Rita said to everyone. "Should we chase him down and ask him to lend it to us?" Estelle asked everyone. "Yeah. I don't think he's in much of a giving mood right now." Raven said to everyone. "Me neither…" Karol said to everyone. "Plus if we wanted us to have Dein Nomos, he would have left it with me and Yuri." I said to everyone.
"Well, whatever we do, we have to get all the spirit's first. Let's focus on that for now." Yuri said to everyone. "Right. Let's get my spirit." I said to everyone, as we started to move.
A few minutes laters we found ourselves in a massive cave. As we went into the cave, we found a lake of green aer, with flowers growing around it. "Wow…" Raven said. "So this is the oldest spring in the world…" Judith said. "It's incredible." Hugo said. "It's so quiet… the air is so clear… It feels holy." Estelle said. "Never would have thought a place like this was at the bottom of the mountain." Yuri said. "It's truly a hidden treasure of the world." I said to everyone.
"It feels so… at ease…" Patty said to everyone. "This isn't really a good time to kick back and relax, but… It's so peaceful…" Karol said to everyone. "Watch it. That's aer, not water. It's really dense. You shouldn't go in." Rita said to Karol. "You came." A female voice said to us.
That's when we turned to see Khroma standing nearby. "Hey, that's…?!" Karol said. "Khroma." I said to everyone. "We met you at the castle, didn't we?" Patty asked Khroma. "It doesn't look like you're trying to avenge Alexei." Yuri said to Khroma. "So what are you doing here?" Ava asked Khroma. "Duke didn't listen to you, did he? He is trying to protect the world in his own way." Khroma said to us.
"Yes. Duke didn't listen to us. But something tells me you know what he's thinking." I said to Khroma. "So what is Duke trying to do?!" Karol asked Khroma. "He is trying to exchange the lives of humans to protect the world." Khroma said to us. "What?!" Me and Rita asked Khroma. "Why would Duke do something like that?!" Estelle asked Khroma.
"He doesn't trust humans." Khroma said to us. "But Duke helped us?!" Karol asked Khroma. "He even lent us his beloved blade." Patty said to Khroma. "I assume he saw some of himself in you. Or perhaps he thought he wouldn't have to get his hands dirty as long as you were around." Khroma said to us.
"What do you…?" Estelle asked Khroma. "What about the Pokemon? Will Duke take them down with us?" Hugo asked Khroma. "No. Duke's plan is to end humans, monsters and Pokemon will be left to inherit the world free from the threat of the Adephagos." Khroma said to us. "Why are you telling us about Duke? I think it's time you showed who you really are, Entelexeia." Yuri said to Khroma, surprising us all. "Huh?!" Karol asked Yuri.
Then Khroma let out a blinding light. When the light faded we saw the dragon that saved us in the Weasand of Cados, and the desert. "That form…!" Judith said to everyone. "What do you want? Is this just a roundabout way of saying you're not going to help?" Yuri asked Khroma.
"I, too, cannot trust humans. But neither do I want to see him take revenge on his own. "If you can truly save the world, then I will not refuse to help. However, you have chosen a different path. You will likely confront each other." Khroma said to us. "Yeah… maybe." Yuri said to Khroma.
"If he and his Pokemon are beyond your power, then nothing in this world can stop them. I will test your strength!" Khroma said to us. "Here she comes!" Yuri said to everyone, as we pulled out our weapons, and we all Mega Evolved our Pokemon, with me Mega Evolving Manectric.
Ava and Raven started to shoot arrows at Khroma, and a few of raven's arrows hit Khroma. But Ava noticed she was out of arrows. "I'm out of arrows." Ava said to everyone. Then some stone spikes appeared in her crossbow. "Thanks Gnome. Houndoom use Flamethrower, and Delphox use Mystical Fire." Ava said To Gnome, Houndoom, and Delphox, as she fired stone spikes at Khroma, and dealt some damage.
"Houndoom." Houndoom said, as she fired a stream of fire at Khroma. "Delphox." Delphox said, as she formed a circle, then fired a burst of fire at Khroma. "Those flames can't save this world." Khroma said to Ava, before using her wings to blow the fire away with a gust of wind. Khroma then charged at us.
"Gallade use Double Team." Hugo said to Gallade. "Gallade." Gallade said, as he made multiple copies and jumped all around Khroma. This made Khroma stop and try to figure out which one is the real Gallade. "A trick like this won't be enough." Khroma said to Hugo.
"We'll see. Noivern use Boomburst." Hugo said to Khroma and Noivern. "NOIVERN!" Noivern said, as he fired a sonic burst from his ears. And while the sonic burst did hit Khroma, the cave made it echo, and made us cover our ears. "Didn't think that threw, did you Hugo?" I asked Hugo. "What?" Hugo asked me.
When Noivern stopped his attack, Khroma was the first to recover, and charged at us. Estelle then made a wall of water from her shield, making Khroma stop. "What is this?" Khroma asked Estelle, before jumping back a little. "Audino use Reflect." Estelle said to Audino. "Audino." Audino said, as she made glass walls around Khroma.
"Excadrill use Sandstorm." Raven said to Excadrill. "Excadrill." Excadrill said, as he clamped his claws into the horns, flipped up himself so his claws and horns were in the ground. Then Excadrill started to spin, making a sand cloud formed around Khroma. "These won't hold me for long." Khroma said to us, as she started to slam her head into the glass walls.
"Togekiss use Air Slash." Estelle said to Togekiss. "Togekiss." Togekiss said, as she fired two wind blades from her wings. "Sableye use Power Gem." Raven said to Sableye. "Sableye." Sableye said, as he fired breams of energy from his gem. The attacks hit Khroma.
"Okay I've had enough of this glass and sand." Khroma said, as she used her wings to blow away the sandstorm and the Reflect. "Gogoat / Flygon use Rock Slide." Karol and Judith said to Gogaot and Flygon. "Gogoat/ Flygon." The two of them said, before rocks from the ceiling fell down on Khroma, trapping her. "Not bad." Khroma said, before moving some of the rocks off her.
"Mawile use Ice Fang." Karol said to Mawile, as we all charged at Khroma.
"Salamence use Dragon Claw." Judith said to Salamence. "Mawile." Mawile said, as the fangs in her ponytail turned light blue, and had a cold breath. "Salamence." Salamence said, as his front claws became encased in teal energy. We all then leaved out attacks into Khroma, with Salamence striking Khroma's back, and Mawile biting into Khroma's neck.
"All of you get off ME!" Khroma said, before sending out a burst of air, getting the rock and us off her. "Reuniclus use Psyshock and Metagross use Psychic." Rita said to Reuniclus and Metagross, as she charged up a fireball spell. "Reuniclus." Reuniclus said, as she stated to make multiple purple orbs. Then Rita and Reuniclus fired their attacks. "Metagross." Metagross said, as his eyes glowed pink. Then a pink outline appeared on Rita's fireball, and broke it apart into multiple small fire balls. All of these small orbs became a swarm that hit Khroma all over her body.
"Okay now it's time for you to feel pain." Khroma said to us before charging at us. Khroma reached Cramerant first and was about to bring her beak down on Cramerant. "Cramerant use Substitute." Patty said to Cramerant. "Cramerant." Cramerant said, as he fired a copy of himself into Khroma's beak, having it take the hit instead of him.
"Now Slowbro use Water Pulse!" Patty said to Slowbro. "Slowbro." Slowbro said, as she fired a ball of water at Khroma's face. The water ball hit Khroma in the face, and covered her face in water. "Is that all you got?" Khroma said to us, as she shook off the water.
"No. Bisharp use Aerial Ace and Banette use Shadow Claw." Yuri said to Bisharp and Banette. "Bisharp." Bisharp said, before disappearing. "Banette." Banette said, as he charged at Khroma, and struck under Khroma's beak, forcing her head up. That's when Bisharp reappeared, and came down on Khroma's face. "Nice teamwork." Khroma said, as she lowered her head, and it looked like she has a headache.
"Blastoise use Ice Beam, and Manectric finishes this with Discharged." I said to Blastoise and Manectric. "Blastoise." Blastoise said, as he fired two light blue beams from his cannons, hitting Khroma's feet, and freezing her to the ground. Khroma struggled to break free of the ice. "Manectric." Manectric said, as he charged at Khroma, and rammed into Khroma's chest. Manectric then let out a surge of electricity, all of which Khroma took.
Manectric then jumped back to me when he finished his attack. "Marvelous. Perhaps you all… can indeed… save the world…" Khroma said with her dying breath. Khroma then let out another blinding light. "Khroma." Judith said to Khroma. "Do as you wish." Khroma said to us, before turning into her apatheia. I took Khroma apatheria in his hands.
"Estelle… come on. Oliver…" Rita said to us. "Right." Estelle said. "Do it." Yuri said to Estelle, before Estelle focusing energy into the apathia. The energy from the apathia went into me. Then all of my Pokemon came out of their Pokeballs. Then the energy flowed out of me and into my Pokemon. The streams went through Ava's Pokemon and went into the apatheia, that's when a tornado formed around me and my Pokemon.
The tornado died and Khroma was now a tiny forest pixie, floating in front of my face. "It worked!" Karol said to everyone. "She's sleeping…" Rita said to everyone. "It's the same as with Gnome." Estelle said to everyone. "Well we did fight with both of them. They must be more tired than Efreet were when he died. And Undine died a while ago before being reborned, so maybe she had a little more energy." I said to everyone.
Then Gnome, Undine, and Efreet appeared. "A new comrade has been born." Undine said to everyone. "One who controls the winds. At times calm, at times violent." Efreet said to everyone. "She is not taken by aer as was Gnome. She should wake before long." Undine said to everyone. "Thank you, Undine." Estelle said to Undine, before Undine, Efreet, and Gnome disappeared.
"Khroma did say she wanted us to stop Duke…" Patty said to everyone. "It seemed like Khroma knew a lot about Duke." Karol said to everyone. "Indeed. Maybe we can ask her more when she's awake." Judith said to everyone. "I'll let you know." I said, as Khroma disappeared. "Let's head back for now." Yuri said to everyone. "Right. We don't have time to just hang around here." Rita said to everyone.
"Oh… not that path again… these old bones of mine are tired…" Raven said to everyone. "You can rest on the ship. Let's go." Ava said to Raven, as we started to move back up the path. But after I returned Chesnaught, Pyroar, Doublade, and Aurorus to their pokeballs.
After a bit we reached the open area of the path. "Whew… finally, half-way up…" Raven said to everyone. "If the air were a little more stable. I could get Ba'ul down here." Judith said to everyone. Then I felt Khroma wake up. "Guys Khroma is awake." I said to everyone, as a tornado formed in front of us. When the tornado faded away, Khroma appeared in front of us.
"My consciousness… This is what it means to become a spirit. Oh, to think of all the things that were hidden from me…" Khroma said to us. "Good morning. Lass" Patty said to Khroma. "Glad to see your up Khroma." I said to Khroma. "So… would you still prefer to be called Khroma?" Judith asked Khroma. "No… I am no longer the Entelexeia known as Khroma. You should give me a new name." Khroma said to us.
"Well… How about Sylph? It means the bringer of winds." Estelle said to Khroma. "Sylph… Very well, that shall be my name." Khroma, now Sylph, said to us. "OK. Sylph. Nice to meet you… again." Karol said to Sylph. "A pleasure to meet you too." Sylph said to Karol. "And I hope you, my Pokemon, and I can be a good team." I said to Sylph. "I hope so too." Sylph said to me.
"Sylph, would you tell us why Duke hates humans?" Yuri asked Sylph. "Very well. You know about the Great War, right?" Sylph asked us. "Yes. The war where Entelexeia fought against humans who were making new blastia. What about it?" Ava asked Sylph.
"There were Entelexeia who chose to live with humans, and those who chose to oppose them. The Great War was between humans who broke Aruces prohibition and the Entelexeia who opposed them." Sylph said to us. "And the war ended when the hero Duke won victory for the humans." Raven said to everyone. "Duke's a hero?!" Karol asked Raven. "Really?" Estelle asked Raven. "That's one of the truths the empire's hiding." Raven said to everyone.
"They glossed over it by spreading convenient little lies. It was simple, but efficient." Patty said to everyone. "I don't think Duke is the kind of guy that cares about fame. There's got to be something else." I said to everyone. "You're right. Humans alone could not have won that war. Elucifur -the leader of the Entelexeia advocating living with humans- fought alongside them, and granted them victory." Sylph said to me.
"Are you serious? Even I never heard of that… But… what does this have to do with Duke not trusting humans" Raven said to Sylph. "Elucifur was Duke's friend. Elucifur taught Duke about Arceus and his prohibition. Duke fought with Elucifur against the leader of the ones who opposed humans, and defeated him." Sylph said to us. "Then what happened to this Elucifur?" Ava asked Sylph.
"However, once the war ended, the empire feared Elucifur's power. They assaulted the injured Elucifur and took his life. He had promised Duke that he would merely watch. But it didn't matter." Sylph said to us. "No…" Estelle said. "Now I get it. Anyone would stop trusting humans after that." Raven said. "I had on idea that was going on during the war." Judith said. "It must have been so hard on Duke." Patty said. "To say the least." Ava said to Patty.
"But it doesn't matter how badly he was betrayed. He has no right to sacrifice every human life." Yuri said to everyone. "If you do not destroy the Adephagos before Duke, in the end… humanity will be destroyed. Hurry." Sylph said to us. "Well with you on our side. We're close to figuring that out." I said to Sylph, as the winds around us started to die down a little.
"I have calmed the winds. I believe Ba'ul can reach you now." Sylph said to us, before disappearing. "Thank you Sylph." Judith said. "Yeah, thanks, partner." I said, placing a hand on my chest. "So the spirits are working out all right, but…" Karol said to everyone. "Duke isn't." Raven said, finishing Karol words. "Yeah." Yuri said to everyone.
"Let's call Ba'ul and plan our next move." I said to everyone. "Right." Judith said, before calling Ba'ul. A minute later, Ba'ul came flying in, and landed the ship in the open area. We then got on the ship. Once all on board, Ba'ul took us into the sky.
