After getting the necessary supplies, Me, Percy, Annabeth, and Grover waved goodbye to the other campers and walked up to Lightning Lia's tree.

Chiron was waiting for us, along with a dude who, according to Grover, was head of security cause he has eyes EVERYWHERE on his body. He was in a chauffeur suit. Chiron stated, "He will drive you four into the city."

We were about to leave but someone yelled "Wait!"

Luke was running to us with a pair of basketball shoes in his hand. I snickered a little at Annabeth's red face.

"Just wanted to drop these off," panted Luke. He handed Percy the shoes and said "Maia!"

White wings sprouted from the heels. "They should be very useful. they were to me on my quest." he was a little sad when he mentioned it.

"Good luck on your quest. Are you ok Annie? Your face is red." said Luke. She nodded, so he patted both Grover and Annabeth's heads and walked away.

"Blonde Brainiac, you hyperventilating,"

"Shut it, Seaweed Brain. Am not."

"My dear, I would encourage you to catch your breath, less you pass out."

"Yes s-sir."

I narrowed my eyes at her, "You let him capture the flag instead of you, didn't you?"

"Both of you are so annoying," she muttered as she stomped off towards a white SUV.

Percy looked at the shoes with disappointment, "I won't be able to use them, will I?"

"Luke meant well, but no. Zeus will see any attempt to sky travel by you as a personal offense since he and Poseidon are bitter rivals," said Chiron, pulling out a pen. My eyes widened. it was the same pen he tossed to Percy when we killed Ms. Dodds.

He handed it to Percy, "Its name is Anaklumos. I don't want to explain its bloody history, but it was given to me by your father."

"Riptide," said Percy, translating the name. He took the cap off and it turned into a 3-foot-long bronze xiphos. Its grip was leather-wrapped, its flat hilt studded with gold studs. The blade shined in the light. But could tell that it gave off a sort of...vibe similar to Percy. Like it was made for him.

"Use only for emergencies. It's made of celestial bronze, so it's deadly to monsters but harmless to mortals, so it will pass right through them. Keep in mind that you can be harmed by both celestial bronze and mortal means. Cap it to put it back."

"How much you wanna bet that I lose it within the first ten minutes?" said Percy to me, capping the pen

"It's enchanted my boy, you can't lose it," said Chiron with a small smile.

"No way, lemme see," I said, snatching it from Percy and throwing it as far as possible.

"Dude, what the fuck?" said Percy. "Language, my boy. Now check your pocket."

Percy check his pocket and sure enough, the pen was right there.

Chiron turned to me, "It seems Apollo has taken an interest in you. He left me this ring to give to you," handing me a ring.

"Push the ruby," said Chiron. I put the ring on my right has and pushed the ruby. There was a click and the whole ring turned bright red before turning into a sword

The single-edged sword was glowing and looked to be modeled after a dragon. A big ruby was integrated into the crossguard and there was a small blade on the pummel, like a dragon claw. The blade's edge was silver with gold and red beautifully integrated into it.

(A/N: Pics of these objects will be on WattPad. Search 'DarkWielder' and read this story there)

For a split second, I could've sworn there was a dragon eye looking at me from out of the ruby.

"No fair! How come he gets the cool sword? That thing looks like it could scare monsters!" whined Percy.

Chiron chuckled then said, "Pressed the ruby in the middle to put it back. You also have to give it a name."

Chiron put a hand on my shoulder.

"Your father also has a message for you, my boy. He said 'You also have the weapon of night and stars. However, you can only use it at night. For now.'" said Chiron, getting ready to go back to his duties.

I looked at the ring on my left has that I got from Dad when I first ate at Camp.

It glowed for a split second, buzzing. I look at the sword, "I'll name it...Everblaze."

The words Everblaze engrave themselves onto the hilt in Greek.

"Chiron said, "One more thing, Zari. Power without control is meaningless. You two have a bond not seen in centuries. Use it well," trotting away.

I put the sword back and was about to walk away to the van when Percy and I heard an "ahem"

We froze in fear, turning around, "Heyyyy guys," Percy said, scared. Helen and Cassandra were standing behind us, hands on their hips, glaring at us.

"No goodbye to us? See you later? You guys just gonna leave without saying anything to us?" growled Helen.

"Ok b-but listen. In our d-d-defense, this q-quest w-w-was sprung on us." I stuttered, backing away as they came closer. Cassandra narrowed her eyes, "Why are you backing away?"

"Cause we have to go, you guys are mad, and I don't wanna die," I said.

"Well, you didn't tell u—!?"

Cassandra didn't get to finish cause I cut her off by kissing her cheek and hugging her. Percy hugged Helen and kissed her forehead. Percy pulled away, very red-faced, but played it off "Come on. Don't stay mad at us. Please?"

He pulled out all the stops, giving her the legendary seal stare, a pouty look that makes him look like a cute baby seal that needs help. It's worked on my mom numerous times, and she's the toughest person I know and could most likely scare the shit out of Clarisse.

I stared into Cassandra's eyes with my hands on her face, pleading eyes staring deeply into hers, "We're sorry."

"Ok ok ok ok. Jus—just stop looking at me like that," said Helen, putting her hands on her face.

Percy smiled as Helen walked away. He pointed in the van's direction, "I'm gonna go,"

"W-we accept y-your a-apology," stutter Cassandra. She walked away with a giddy smile on her face.

I walked over to Thalia's tree, touching the trunk, "Hey Zapperella. I'm about to save the world. Of course, you already know that. Just wanted to say goodbye, Taser Thals, just in case I don't make it. See you later in case I do."

I turned around but heard a snap. I turned back around and in front of my face was a branch that wasn't there before. But on the branch were a pair of lightning bolt earrings, each glowing and shiny.

(A/N: Pics of these objects will be on WattPad. Search 'DarkWielder' and read this story there)

I put them on and said "Thanks, luscious Lia."

I got to the van and Annabeth said, "Took you long enough. Both both of you."

"I refuse to be criticized by someone who's crushing on someone 7 years older than them," I muttered.

Annabeth glared at me, "Shut up. You don't know anything about me, Luke, or our history together."

"Remind us again, why do you hate me and Zari so much? You don't know anything about us either," said Percy,

"I don't hate you guys. It's just our parents are arch enemies. Poseidon seems to be sponsoring Zari, so he counts. We aren't supposed to get along," hissed Annabeth, folding her invisibility cap.

My vision flashed green for a second.

"You are the stup—?!" Percy put a hand over my mouth, "Calm down man. Getting angry won't change her mind."

I kept my mouth shut.

"Whats this rivalry about anyway?" asked Percy. Annabeth rolled her eyes, "Multiple reasons. Mom caught your dad with his girlfriend in her temple. Extremely disrespectful, by the way. Then there was the time your dad and my Mom competed to be the patron god for the city of Athens. They picked my mom and named the city after her cause she created an olive tree and Poseidon created a stupid saltwater spring."

"Oh," said Percy, "They must like olives then."

Annabeth facepalmed.

"It would have made more sense if she invented pizza," I said, grinning. Annabeth looked like she wanted to punch me in the face.

I looked at Argus, who seemed to be trying not to laugh, all the eyes on the back of his head narrowed.

Grover asked, "What did Chiron keep you guys back for anyway?"

I and Percy pulled out our new weapons, "I'm just trying to figure out what to say if a mortal catches us using these,"

"That what the Mist is for," said Grover.

"Mist?" said Percy, looking at both our weapons, "Dude, there's no mist coming from our swords,"

"Yeah, Dude. The Illiad references it all the time. The Mist is generated whenever Divine or monstrous elements and the mortal world mix, obscuring the vision of humans," said Grover. "Because of the lengths the human mind will go to fit things into its version of reality, humans will interpret things quite differently. But you guys, being half-bloods, can see right through the Mist."

"Oh," I said.

"Is 'oh' what you guys say to everything?" muttered Annabeth.

"We new to this whole demigod life, so please forgive us if we don't know what to say to stuff like that," says Percy, fiddling with his trident ring.

"I thought Poseidon didn't give you any gifts?" asked Annabeth.

"He didn't," said Percy, "Zari's uncle got it for me."

"What does it do? Is it a weapon?" said an inquisitive Annabeth.

"Ring Of Rising Waves," Percy said "It's a ring that enhances all my water powers by deepening my connection to the sea. Apparently, it's bonded to me and is alive, growing with me as I improve. Best part is, it can't be destroyed, even if I want it to."

"Woah, really?! Have you tried using it?" said Annabeth.

"Well, I can do this," said Percy while holding out his hand. The ring glowed and emitted a sea-green mist that morphed and coalesced into a palm-sized smokey horse. It galloped in the air, running around Annabeth while neighing.

Annabeth giggled as the horse nuzzled her face.

"Wow. The ring must like you," said Percy, confused.

"Yea, that's what it is," Grover said, narrowing his eyes, "Percy, why do you keep thinking about Lady Artemis?"

The horse dispersed, and Percy look shocked, "How di-?!"

"Satyrs can read emotions. Especially through an empathy link. Forgot to tell you that. How do you even know lady Artemis?" asked Grover.

"She came to me in a dream last night and gave me this," said Percy, pulling out a ring.

The ring was a silver band that seemed to be filled with what seemed to be actual moon dust. It glowed a silvery-blue color.

(A/N: Pics of these objects will be on WattPad. Search 'DarkWielder' and read this story there)

"She doesn't like me very much, but I don't know what I did to offend her," said Percy

"Artemis doesn't like men," said Grover, awestruck at the ring.

"Wait so she's ga—?" Annabeth clamped a hand over my mouth, glaring at me, "Are you crazy?! No, she is not into women. She just hates men, and it would be best not to offend her, no matter how much of a smart ass you are. Please."

"What does it do?" said Annabeth. Percy put the ring on his finger and said "Can't. It only works at night. For now. At least that's what she said."

Annabeth turned to me, "Does your other ring do something? Or earrings?"

"Dad said I can only use it at night. I'm not strong enough to use it during the day yet, And I don't know what the earring does yet," I said, looking at the ring on my left hand.

Percy experimented with the Ring Of Rising Waves while we waited for Argus to drop us off at our destination, which was the Greyhound Station on the Upper East Side, which isn't too far from where our parents live. When we got out of the car, I and Percy saw A flier with our pictures on it taped to a mailbox: HAVE YOU SEEN THESE BOYS?

I ripped it down before Annabeth and Grover could notice.

After making sure we had our tickets and unloading our bags, Argus drove off, hand out the window, eye on us as he pulled out of the parking lot.

I gazed at me and Percy's old apartment, thinking about how everything happening now, how maybe everything would have been better if our moms lived in sewers instead of Sally marrying Gabe.

"Sally married Gabe for you guys," said Grover.

"What about me? I grew up relatively normal. Momma didn't have to marry some old dusty ass walrus so monsters would stay away."

"That was cause of NorpensterRemllet (A/N:'monster repellent' rearranged), your 'dry skin' meds,"

"What?" I said, shocked that he knew about something I hadn't taken since I came from Alaska...

"It was something that kept monsters away, wasn't it?" I asked. Grover nodded, "Yes and before you say why it isn't widely known, there's a price."

"What is it?" I asked, fearing the worst.

"To make it:

•First and foremost, you have to spend over a week in Tartarus

•After that, you will have to cut a body part out or off on the spot when you make the first batch. After that, you're good.

•You must have to have the blood of the demigod's divine parent

•Another divine being must bless the potion

The result is a double-edged sword. You can sense and see monsters, Mist covered or not, but will feel pain when any monster(s) comes within a certain radius of the demigod you want masked.

When you do, you MUST kill the monster(s) all by yourself, and it doesn't matter how, but it can't be in front of the demigod who's being masked."

I took a moment to process everything Grover said.

Then came a random memory of when I was 6 popped into my head.

When my mom had come to pick me up from daycare, instead of the caretaker, Mrs. Bastielle, handing her to me, she went with the caretaker and her huge ass cat to the kitchen to get me a snack but came out alone with her clothes being shiny.

She had a golden hoodie that looked like a Lion for me, which Mrs. Bastielle had apparently left to me because she was moving away for family business. It was too big, but I carried it around so much that Momma had to take it from me for a few years until I went to Yancy.

I opened my book bag and took out the hoodie, "This wasn't actually from the person I thought it was, was it?"

Annabeth's eyes widened, "Your mom killed the Nemean Lion!"

"The Nemean Lion?" said Percy. Annabeth touched the sleeves, in awe, "A vicious monster, one that gave even Hercules a permanent injury, eating one of his fingers. No weapon could pierce its golden fur and its claws were sharper than any normal weapons, allowing it to cut through strong armor. H-how did your mom kill it?"

I immediately put it on after she said 'couldn't be pierced by weapons'.

"But that makes even less sense. Why didn't Momma fight the Minotaur? He doesn't even seem to be that hard to beat," said Percy.

"You stopped taking the 'meds' when you moved to Manhattan, being enveloped in Gabe's repulsive mortal scent, so it may have been because she stopped fighting monsters and became out of practice," said Grover.

"I guess that makes sense," mumbled Percy. We played Hacky Sack with one of Grover's apples until the bus arrived.

However, when the bus arrived, Grover perked up and started sniffing the air like he was hunting for his favorite food.

"What's wrong, Grover?" I asked.

"Nothing," he said, still on his guard. I looked at Percy and he started looking around too.

We got on the bus and we went to the back, which luckily had seats together for us. Grover kept looking around and sniffing the air. Annabeth was fiddling with her Yankees cap nervously. I started looking around too until I heard my Dads voice

Boy

This made me look around even more, trying to find the source of the voice.

In your head. Remember your crows

"I have a name, you de—!!"

Boy,

I jumped. He didn't yell, but the power that his voice released made my head buzz too much.

Only warriors have the right to be called by their names. It was how I was raised by your grandfather. (A/N: Pallas= Titan of Warcraft) Well, former grandfather, as I have transcended the universe and erased myself from existence, he, everyone I was ever related to, and I am no longer kin in any way. But that's beside the point. Try out your crow's special abilities. As long as you live, they can not die, so feel free to be wild. And 'think outside the box' as you humans say

"Bro, are you ok?" said Percy. I waved it off, "Just my dad. Speaking like the Middle Ages and reminding me about my crows," Calling Onyx and Corvus with my mind.

I felt them above us, "Ok now th—!?"

My vision blipped out and I felt like I was in the air, flying.

I heard flapping noises then my vision went back to the bus. Everyone was looking at me, worried.

"Your eyes were completely white," said Grover

"Onyx and C-Corvus are i-I-in t-the air," I said, "I felt l-like it w-was in the air. And my mouth tastes like dead bodies."

"You were most likely seeing the world from their POV. Do you think you can do it again?" ask Annabeth.

My vision blipped out and I was seeing the sky again. I saw the bus we were in entering the Lincoln Tunnel.

As Corvus flew over the tunnel, I saw three shapes that horrified me. It was Ms. Dodds. And two others that looked like her. All of them had whips flailing through the air

I was back at the bus, "We need the get off the bus as soon as we leave the tunnel. Ms. Dodds and two other demon looking bitches are flying after us,"

Grover paled, "All three Kindly Ones!"

"I thought you said they would stay dead?" Hissed Percy to Annabeth. "I said if you're lucky!"

As we passed through the Lincoln Tunnel, my mind went to work, trying to think of a way to get us out of this.

Come on, come on, THINK. Dad said to think outside the box. Come on Zari, THINK!

I focused on Corvus and my vision blipped out again. I saw the sky through Corvus's eyes. Our bus was nearing the end of the tunnel, so I had Corvus and Onyx speed up.

Then, without me doing anything, Corvus flew faster, in front of Ms. Dodds and her bitch sisters, and exploded into a blinding light. When the light cleared, I saw them on the tunnel, screeching in pain.

I did the only thing I could think of: Onyx, attack!!

Immediately, Corvus exploded into a huge swarm of crows that attacked the three demon sisters. There were even crows that came out of nowhere that came to help.

They managed to kill two of them, but Dodds escaped before any of the crows could react.

Corvus flew faster to catch up but as soon as our bus came out of the tunnel, Ms. Dodds dipped.

I felt a jerk, heard the sounds of broken glass, then an explosion of air to my face. My vision went to normal and I realized I was in the air. Percy was too, flailing around like crazy as Ms. Dodds had one of her claws on his neck. We were up in the air being carried by her, "I have you now, honey!"

My blood ran cold. Then came the smell of Ozone. The clouds started to spark. Rain started falling from the sky.

"Are you stupid?" I screamed. "Percy is a sea demigod. Zeus doesn't like him in his domain!!!"

Before she could fly down, bolts of lightning struck us. My vision went purple after tv bolts hit us. I felt fine though. (A/N: different colors, different powers)

Ms. Dodds disintegrated into an explosion of monster dust with a howling screech. Good news; she let us go, bad news: she let us go.

We fell to our death, or so we thought. Percy had landed on a misty sea-green blob, cushioning his fall. I landed on the ground. Hard. But instead of being in pain, my body felt heavier.

The sea-green blob exploded into mist and entered Percy's ring, which was glowing.

"The r-r-ring saved m-my life," stuttered Percy. We had landed in the woods. I was still on the ground, uninjured, but unable to get up. I was seeing everything from a purple tint.

Suddenly there was an explosion coming from the direction of our bus.

Percy staggered over to me, lifting me up like it was nothing but somehow I could even lift a finger. He had some small cuts all over him, glowing green and already starting to close.

"Ok, this is weirding me out. Now your purple!" Grunted Percy. Corvus and Onyx had flown to me, landed at my feet.

"I don't know what's happening to me," I grunted, "But it doesn't hurt, I just can't move my body, if feels so heavy. And I know you not talking. You injuries are glowing green."

"What?! That's cause of my ring. And you feel just fine to me." grumbled Percy.

"Well ma—?!" Annabeth and Gover interrupted me by run to us.

"Something...hit the bus...Scorpion..." panted Grover.

"Its Scorpius, the first Scorpion ever created, the one sent by Gaea to kill Orion. It came after us and cause the bus to explode," said an exhausted Annabeth.

Then came a huge amount of chittering and hissing, coming in our direction.

Boy, tell your friends to leave. And remember the phrase "Reflection Release". You will know when to say it.

Normally, I would give attitude cause it is what I do when I'm under pressure, but the monster was coming closer, and I was tired and hungry.

"Guys, leave me here," I said.

"That fall must've messed up your head," said Percy. "I'm no—!"

"Just trust me," I groaned. "I have a plan. And Dad said you guys can't be here for it to work."

"Percy, we will come back for him. Besides, correct me if I'm wrong, you had a cushion, but he landed on the ground. That was a high drop and should have killed him, meaning that this purple power will most likely keep him alive. We don't understand it, but we know it saved his life. We don't have a choice, so let's go." said Annabeth while pulling Percy.

He laid me down on the ground, "If you die, I will rip Hades a new to get you back."

They ran ahead. I waited for a few seconds. Not fearing for my life, but fearing my immobility. I fear nothing but not being able to move.

A huge care sized Bronze scorpion appeared a few feet in front of me. Its eyes were onyx black, like obsidian. It had a stinger the size of my arm, pinchers that can crush a flat-screen like butter, and fangs bigger than bananas. The stinger was dripping venom on its back, the patch on its back being rusted and corroded.

It crawled towards me, chittering and hissing. It lowered its stinger down, aimed at my chest, to finish the job.

Annabeth, you better be right

The stinger broke my skin, but didn't hurt. Instead, my body felt even heavier.

Then the phrase came to mind, "Reflection Release!"

Instantly, I felt able to move my body. But Scorpius back away, staggeringly, with its stinger somehow broken off and lodged in my chest. It contorted, like its back was broken, and exploded into a HUGE swarm of smaller scorpions. All of them of different types, species, and sizes.

DAD!! WTF!?

Oh great. I have a scorpion stinger in my chest, I'm surrounded by a bunch of scorpions, and I have lots of attitudes to give right now.

But all the scorpions weren't moving. They were just looking at me, staring.

Percy, Grover, and Annabeth then chose this as the perfect time to come back.

"Dude, di—WTF?!?! Ok, you know what, I don't even wanna know," said Percy

"You have the stinger lodged in your chest," said a pale Annabeth.

"Are you even human?" said Grover.

"Did all these scorpions come from Scorpio?"

"Scorpius," corrected Annabeth.

"Yea," I said, "How do I get out of this?!"

"They haven't attacked you yet," said Annabeth, thinking. She looked pale and weak.

My blood ran cold when I saw why. Her right ankle was bloody.

"Annabeth...don't tell me... you were stung!" I said worriedly.

I wanted to come to her, but the scorpions were in my way. Annabeth collapsed, but luckily Percy caught her, laying her down gently.

"There has to be something we can do!" said Grover, who had tears in his eyes.

I didn't know what to do. Annabeth is family. And you always find a way to save family.

Oddly enough, one of the scorpions crawled over to Where Annabeth was. Percy and Grover looked ready to defend, but it ignored them and went to Annabeth's ankle. It was faster than them and before they could react, it stung her.

"NO!" yelled Grover, but it had already crawled away. But instead of it get getting worse, the bleeding stopped, and her ankle healed itself. It did, however, leave a long bright green and purple scar.

She was still pale but managed to get up. She said, "Try giving them an order,"

"Annabeth, in case you haven't noticed, there is a literal poisonous knife in my chest!" I may have been snappy, but I was glad she was ok.

She rolled her eyes, "I think they listen to you. And you're fine. You've been standing on your own feet for the past 3 minutes even though stinger is literally next to your heart."

"Well...um...uhhhh...everyone move to their left for 2 seconds," immediately all the scorpions move to their left for a full two seconds.

"My guess is that you their new master. You can pull the stinger out now. It's your spoil of war. Monsters sometimes drop those when they die, like a reward for the hero," said Annabeth.

I looked at her like she was crazy. My mom's in the medical field, and one thing you never do when stabbed, is take out the objects out of the injury. It's actually plugging it and keeping it from gushing out.

"Bro, it's glowing." said Percy. The stinger had a dark green and purple light coming from it. That did it. I pulled it out.

My wound closed up immediately. And the stinger changed into a huge dagger. But it felt wrong to me. Like the dagger was conflicted. It was strange, but I know for a fact I'm not the wielder it wants. Not the wielder she wants...

(A/N: Pics of these objects will be on WattPad. Search 'DarkWielder' and read this story there)

Annabeth looked at in wonder, "You want it?" I asked.

"Huh?" she said. "Do you want it? Cause I don't. I already have a dagger," I said, pulling out Firestorm.

Then a purple and green swirl mist came from the dagger and entered Firestorm. Firestorm glowed purple and green for a few seconds then went back to normal.

The new dagger's blade was glowing green and emitting a soft buzz.

"Poison Prime," said Annabeth, looking at the dagger in wonder.

"Besides, I think I wants you, Blonde Brainiac. Look at your ankle" said Percy. Annabeths new scar was glowing in the same way as Poison Prime.

The scorpions parted and I walked over and handed Annabeth the dagger, "Scorpius must have taken a liking to you or something."

Boy

I jumped cause of the buzz

"Ok so now you chose to say something, Dad?"

Just so you know, Scorpius was a she

"Oh...oh...oohhhhhhhhhh"

"Scorpius was a she, so she wanted her spoil of war to end up with a woman." I said, hold in out my hand to the scorpions, "I get her monster power with scorpions along with my own knife getting a power-up, you get her weapon, Do you have a more convenient form for me to carry you guys?"

The scorpions responded by crawling into my shadow and disappearing into it.

"Maybe it's because..." mumbled a thinking Grover

"What is it G-man?" Said Percy. Grover pointed at Annabeth and her new weapon and said, "Or maybe it's cause Annabeth used to take care of scorpions as pets when she was younger."

"You know what? Nothing surprises me at this point, So is the scar on Ms. CC's ankle a symbol or something," said Percy.

Annabeth was burning red at this point, "Ok, you guys can stop talking about me like I'm not here."

Her ankle and the weapon started buzzing and glowing. It stopped, and the scar from her ankle was gone and had somehow appeared on her left arm. It was purple with the green moving and swirling.

"Well, I don't have time to experiment, so we need to get moving." said Annabeth.

We all ran into deeper into the woods.
