Ringing. That was all Sadie could hear as Derek went fully unconscious in her arms, his right hand sliding down from the hold on his throat. Blood gushed from the wound she'd previously thought was starting to close and it launched her into action. She pressed her hands to the gash, feeling the warmth of his blood seep between her fingers as she applied pressure. The spidery black veins from the wolfsbane were creeping down towards his chest, towards his heart.

"Sadie!" Malia was suddenly beside her, lifting Derek off the ground like a rag doll. Sadie ran beside her out into the parking lot, her hand still firmly applying pressure to his neck.

"We need to get the wolfsbane out of him so he can heal," she glanced over her shoulder at Liam and his friend. "Did you find the other arrow?"

Liam brandished it in his hand, opening the door to Scott's abandoned truck to help load Derek in. Malia was already in the driver's seat, Derek's prone body laying across his wife's lap. "It's not coated in it, it's like she made the arrows with the wolfsbane. We'd need to melt it down and-" he glanced worriedly at Derek, "I don't think we have that kind of time."

Sadie nodded in agreement, fishing out her phone. "You two need to find Lydia, the Sheriff. Everyone. If the Nogitsune is back, we'll need all the help we can get."

Liam nodded, taking his companion's hand in his as they ran off towards their own car. Malia threw the car into reverse and off the school grounds. Sadie's hands were slippery with blood as she tried to get her iPhone to press call under Chris Argent's name. After several tries she finally was able to get the call going, her heart racing as she waited for him to pick up.

"Are you with Allison? Did you find her?" he nearly shouted through the phone upon answering.

Sadie scoffed, "If you mean did she unload a wolfsbane arrow through my husband and is now hunting my defenseless fifteen year old, then yes we found her."

Argent signed, "You're not with her."

"No! Scott is going after them right now, but I need your help. I need wolfsbane. We can't get it out of the arrowheads to cure Derek."

She heard the metal clanging of doors opening through the line and assumed he'd was looking through his weapons lockers at his house. It finally felt like something was working out in their favor. Argent being home already saved them time and time wasn't something Derek had on his side at the moment. "Wolfsbane is in hand, where do I meet you?"

Sadie glanced up from Derek's graying face, grabbing Malia's attention. "Head to my house," she turned her focus back to the phone, "Argent, do you remember how to get to my house?"

"No, but I'm with your Mom. We'll meet you there." Argent hung up with a click.

"Sadie."

Derek was awake, his eyes glassy, struggling to stay open and focus on her. Sadie put her phone down on the seat beside her, cupping his face with her free hand. "You're going to be okay, Wolfsbane is on its way. It's somehow a lot less complicated than when we almost had to cut off your arm with a bone saw."

"What the fuck," Malia commented under her breath, frowning at the pair in the rearview mirror.

Derek smiled weekly at the memory, his teeth stained with blood. He was breathless from the pain, trying with everything he had to focus on his wife's face and stay awake.

"Eli. Where's-" he took a shuddering breath, "-our son?"

Sadie tried desperately to not convey the outright terror she felt for her son and his unknown whereabouts. She knew it was no use, the car had to practically reek of it. It was a relief Malia had for once not commented. "I told him to go to the shop. I sent Scott after him, he'll be able to protect him from her better than either of us right now."

Nodding weakly, Derek seemed to accept the answer. Sadie could only hope the faith she'd put in her younger brother all these years after he became a werewolf wouldn't let her down tonight. Scott always came through, especially for the pack, especially for family.

"Is this…the secret? Allison?" he panted.

Sadie nodded quickly, "I'm so sorry Derek. I never thought this would happen. I was seeing Allison everywhere and Scott said she needed help getting out of Bardo. I didn't think it through and wanted it all to stop and to help Allison. I'm so sorry." Tears were falling freely now as she held tightly to him, the blood flow slowing beneath her fingers. They were running out of time.

He blinked slowly, gingerly shaking his head. "It's not…your fault…she…was your friend. You wanted to..help her."

Sadie couldn't reply, she was full on sobbing into his chest. She'd been selfish to keep the visions of Allison a secret out of fear and now she felt like she was paying a price that was too high for her cowardice.

"I'm so sorry." she sobbed, fisting his blood stained shirt with her free hand. She lifted her head when she felt Derek's gentle hand on the back of her hair, stroking slow and sure. He was looking directly at her now, eyes focused and clear. "I love you. This is not…your fault."

She leaned over him, capturing his blood stained mouth with hers, her tears mingling with his blood.

"We're here!" Malia shouted.

Her eyes lifted from Derek as their house came into view. Standing on their front lawn was Argent, her Mother and Deaton. The vet must have come into town with Scott. She finally let herself feel a shred of hope that everything was going to be okay at the sight of them.

"It's almost over, you'll be healing in no time" she reassured aloud, not sure if it was more for herself than Derek.

Argent had the small pile of Wolfsbane ready on the coffee table when they carried Derek into the house and onto the couch. Sadie's hands were thankfully no longer shaking as she gently tipped Derek's head to the side, exposing the wolfsbane induced blackening wound. Melissa made a noise of disgust behind her daughter, kneeling beside her on the floor by her son-in-law's head to help keep him steady.

Sadie scooped the Wolfsbane into her cupped hand, pausing over Derek to look up suddenly.

"We need a lighter! I can't remember where we put it, but it's somewhere in the kitchen." Panic crept back into her voice as Argent and Deaton started towards her kitchen, stopping suddenly.

A bright blue glow emanated from the hallway. "I've been known to light a spark or two in my time."

Peter leaned against the wall, lighting a cigar with a blow torch as he sauntered into the living room. The bright blue flame from the blow torch crackled in his hand as he chuckled, setting his cigar down into an ashtray. Sadie stared at him completely bewildered for a moment, trying to remember briefly if she even owned an ashtray. Had Peter brought his own ashtray?!

"Peter no," breathed Derek behind her, bringing her back to the task at hand. Sadie stood beside the couch, squaring her shoulders.

"Give it to me Peter," she demanded, hand outstretched.

Peter cocked his head, looking at Sadie with amusement. "Sadie, Sadie. When will you learn that it's best to let the real wolves handle things?"

He sprung forward, stealing the Wolfsbane from her palm and roughly shoving it into his nephew's wound, immediately moving the torch's flame to Derek's neck. Derek roared out in pain, back arching off the couch as Peter continued to apply the fire to the wound with a disinterested look on his face.

Sadie felt her Mother behind her turning away from the gruesome scene, but she stayed fixed, kneeling beside the couch to wrap an arm over the top of Derek's head to help hold him, the other gripping his hand tightly. Her brown eyes watched closely as the black threads of wolfsbane retreated back up into the wound before finally disappearing, leaving behind the cauterized arrow wound. Now he could finally start to heal.

Derek's head lolled to the side as he passed out from the pain, his limp hand releasing Sadie's. Peter gave the work he'd done on his nephew's neck an appreciative nod and turned off the torch, turning away from the living room. He could sense everyone in the room looking at him with absolute disgust and turned back around defensively. With Derek unconscious, Sadie stood again, walking around the coffee table towards Peter. She advanced on him, feeling like the predator vs prey for once with him.

Always to get the first word in, Peter spoke before Sadie could. "Do I need to remind you people that he slashed my throat once? And it killed me?"

Sadie blinked incredulously at him, mouth dropping open. "You're shitting me. How many times have you tried to kill us? Three or four at this point? I've lost track now Peter. Or how about you've bitten Scott, Lydia and me? Don't even get me started on the Deadpool! Or Mexico-"

Peter rolled his eyes dismissively, "Always so touchy. I don't know what my dear nephew sees in you. Eli can't even shift into a proper-" Sadie cut him off, punching him square in the face. She felt her Mom and Argent come to stand behind her in support, the click of Argent taking the safety of his gun rang out in the quiet of the room.

Peter chuckled as he regained his wits, pulling his hand back to see blood from his already healing broken nose. Sadie pointed a finger in his face, "You keep my son's name out of your mouth."

"The son that you're letting his-" he pointed saucily at Argent behind her, "-back from the dead daughter hunt down right now, is that right? Running around shooting up werewolves like a good little hunter. You must be so proud Christopher."

Argent growled behind her, stepping around Sadie as her Mother stepped between the pair. "Can we just lower the levels of testosterone in the room right now fellas?"

Peter and Argent stood silent, both never taking their eyes off one another. Sadie hoped he'd just shoot Peter and get it over with. Nobody would miss him. Melissa reached for her daughter, pulling her into a much needed hug. "Have you heard anything from Scott or Eli?"

She shook her head, "No, Eli doesn't have his phone. He's in his lacrosse uniform."

Sadie looked to a still unconscious Derek on the couch and let her thoughts fully turn to her son now that Derek was going to be okay. She had pushed the panic down on the drive to her house, rationalizing that Scott had most likely caught up to him by now. And if he couldn't be with his parents, the next safest thing would be his uncle. He wasn't a True Alpha for nothing.

Melissa rung her hands, worried for her only grandson. "I'm going to try Scott." Melissa pressed her phone to her ear. Sadie's jacket pocket suddenly started ringing. She pulled Scott's borrowed cell phone from her pocket with a grimace, looking at her Mom as they realized they had no communication with either of them.

"If Allison does catch up to Eli, we might need some real medical attention. Not just a blow torch" Melissa hated thinking of her grandson in danger, but she had to think rationally since her daughter was clearly overwrought with emotions. She looked down at her daughter, "We'll go look for them too."

Sadie nodded, swallowing thickly as she looked at Argent and Peter squaring off in her entryway. Deaton stood from his position examining Derek, he gave Sadie a small smile. "He'll be okay. You got him here just in time. He should be awake soon."

Sadie looked down at her husband, pushing back his hair to kiss his forehead. She bid goodbye to her Mother and Argent, pulling Peter back as he started out the door. He smirked, "Did you forget my goodbye kiss?"

She gagged in disgust, keeping her tight grip on his arm. She felt several of his smaller arm bones snap under the pressure. Sadie hadn't utilized her inhuman strength much in the last ten years, but she needed to make Peter hear her. He needed to realize the mistake he'd made when he'd bitten her all those years ago on the lacrosse field and especially now that she was a mama wolf not to fuck with. Peter flinched ever so slightly as she re-applied pressure to the quickly healing bones to re-break them, not losing eye contact with him.

"Don't you ever get tired of letting everyone do the right thing? Taking the hits? Make the sacrifices? You were so burned up, excuse my phrasing, that Scott became a True Alpha but ask yourself this…when was the last time you really did something for someone else? Are you even capable of being part of a pack again?"

For once, Peter didn't have a snappy reply. She smiled a harsh smile, releasing his arm with a shove. "You're going out there to find my son. Don't fuck this up Peter."

The silence in her house was deafening. With the three of them gone, Deaton and Sadie just had to wait. Wait for Derek to wake up. Wait to hear about Eli. Sadie was afraid to hope, afraid to think of the possibilities. Maybe she had been wrong to not push Derek to get Eli to transform and tap into his wolf side. Maybe he'd have a better chance at protecting himself from Allison or whatever that was that was hunting him with Wolfsbane arrows.

"I can hear you thinking all the way from the living room," Deaton's soft voice broke her out of her thoughts. She looked up from the spot she'd been staring at on the kitchen counter. She'd gone in to scrub the blood off her hands and just stopped, her heart and mind going in too many directions at once.

"It's all just happening so fast. And the Nogitsune…we barely made it out of that last time, God Stiles nearly-" she paused, her eyes darting to Derek's least favorite photo in the house on the refrigerator. Every time he tore it down, she'd print a new copy and hang it up.

It was of a four year old Eli and Stiles. They both had plastic lightsabers and were locked in an epic battle in the Hale backyard, Scott laying in the background of the photo with another lightsaber tucked into his side, tongue lolled out for dramatic effect.

For what seemed like the hundredth time that night, Sadie scrambled to her phone. She used the back of her shirt to wipe off Derek's dried blood so she could make the call.

"Come on, pick up, pick up," she mumbled to herself.

"Sadieeeeeeee" came the loud greeting from the other end, she could practically hear the smile on Stiles' face.

"Stiles! Are you okay?" she all but shouted into the phone.

"Uhhh, should I not be? That's not inspiring confidence in why you're calling, Sadie."

Now that she had him on the phone, Sadie wasn't sure where to start or how much to say.

"Sadie?"

She sat down at the kitchen table, looking up to Derek and Deaton in the living room before sighing. "The Nogitsune is back and there's more."

Stiles verbally floundered on the other end of the phone at her admission, she could hear what sounded like him tripping over something before he replied. "There's more? Of course there is."

"We sort of brought Allison, or maybe something that isn't Allison back from the dead. Or Bardo. And the Nogitsune came with her. Liam also mentioned the Oni, but I haven't seen them yet."

Silence. Sadie knew this was what haunted Stiles the most next to his Mother's death. It haunted all of them to some degree after what they went through.

"Stiles,..it's not in anyone I don't think. I think he's got a body of his own this time."

Silence again. "Stiles!"

"Keep your pants on, I'm looking at flights to Beacon Hills right now. I can't type and reply at the same time. I should be able to be there by-"

Sadie interrupted him, "No. You are not flying here. I'm calling to make sure you are okay and he didn't get to you in Virginia."

"I can't just stay here knowing you are all fighting this again and Allison is back. I assume Scott is already there?"

"He's already here. So is Lydia. I'm sort of surprised she didn't call to check on you first."

"Ehhhh, that would be because she broke up with me."

Eyebrows raising in shock, Sadie breathed out a sigh. "I…did not know that. The wedding is in April though, what happened?"

Stiles sighed, she could imagine him scrubbing a hand down his face. "I don't know. She wouldn't tell me. She just packed all her shit at my apartment and left, won't answer my calls. Now she's in Beacon Hills with the rest of you and didn't even think to call me?"

"I don't know Stiles…I want to help you fix it, or her fix it. But we have to get through this first. Please don't come out here. I need someone I love to be safe and out of harm's way."

"Did something happen to Eli?"

Sadie sniffed, pushing away tears. She glanced up at the clock in the kitchen. It was nearly dawn and it had been hours since she'd pushed her son into her car and told him to flee. "I don't know Stiles. It's just…you know, like it was before." Deaton appeared in the kitchen doorway, gesturing into the living room where she could see Derek begin to stir on the couch. Sadie stood quickly, knocking her chair to the ground.

"I have to go. Stiles, promise me you'll stay put."

"Only if you promise to keep me updated. If I don't hear from you by this afternoon, I'm on the next plane out of here."

"I promise."

"Wait-Did you call Kira?"

"No, I called you first. Can you call her and check on her? If she doesn't pick up I give you full permission to fly to Japan then Beacon Hills."

"Be careful Sadie," Stiles cautioned. Nobody knew the dangers of the Nogitsune like he did. If Stiles didn't ignore her plea and showed up on the next flight to Beacon Hills anyway, it would be a miracle.

"I will. I'll keep you posted." She set her phone down on the table, quickly walking around it to enter the living room. Derek's eyes hadn't opened, but she could tell from his breathing he was starting to come around. Sadie perched on the edge of the sofa, gently peeling the blood covered jacket away from his throat. The wound was gone, all that was left was the bloody mess that was Derek and their couch.

"I'm not sure if hearing Stiles through the phone is the way I wanted to wake up from this," grumbled Derek, his eyes blinking open slowly.

Sadie laughed, helping him sit up and allowing herself to relax into his tight embrace. He nuzzled the top of her head, breathing in deeply. "That was too close," she said into the crook of his neck. She felt the rumble of his agreement against her, "I'm not going anywhere Sades. I've got you and Eli to fight for."

Deaton slipped into the living room, "Glad to see you in one piece Derek." Derek looked up at him in surprise, "You came with Scott I'm assuming?"

Derek looked between the emissary and his wife, "Start from the beginning Sadie. Tell me everything."

The former Alpha sat at the kitchen table beside his wife, her cell phone clutched tightly in his hands. After Melissa had called to share what they'd discovered at the auto shop, both parents wanted to leave immediately to head out and join the search for Eli. Melissa rationalized that they should stay home, if he was still on the move and hurt, he'd need someone to meet him if he ran home. Waiting wasn't a strong suit of Derek.

"We should be out there looking for him!" Derek shouted, pushing back from the table with both hands. Sadie stood to try to calm him, when the creek of their front door opening caught their attention. Derek inhaled to make out the scent just as they heard him.

"Mom? Dad?"

"Eli?!" The Hale parents scrambled out of the kitchen into the living room. Eli and Sheriff Stilinski had just walked in, both looking worse for wear.

"Mom!" Eli launched himself at Sadie, wrapping his arms tightly around her and burying his face into her shoulder. Derek was behind her in an instant, pulling them both into him. "You're safe. We're all safe," he reassured, breathing in the scent of his reunited family. Sadie broke the hold first, pulling back to take her son's face in her hands, looking him over for any injuries.

"Uncle Scott isn't," Eli blurted, his face etched with worry.

"Hey, we've got a problem," the Sheriff tried to interject. Derek tightened his hold on his family, looking at the Sheriff for him to continue.

"Three of them," Deaton stated, drawing their attention down the hallway. In the darkness, three Oni had materialized in a cloud of dark smoke. Sadie suddenly felt like she was eighteen again, fighting for her life against creatures she never hoped to see again. This time, she had something much more valuable to fight for than herself.

Instinctually she and Derek pushed Eli behind and between them into the kitchen, moving into defense positions. "Stay down," Sadie told Eli, not taking her eyes off the Oni that were rapidly advancing.

Sheriff Stilinski moved first, remembering hesitating got him nowhere with the Oni last time. Almost costing him his son. As soon as the first bullet was fired, chaos erupted in the house.

Derek advanced on the Oni closest to them, swinging a pot off the dish rack in defense. Sadie took the moment while it was distracted and flipped the dining room table with one hand, dragging her shocked son behind it for better security. She withdrew the throwing knives she'd tucked into her boots the night before, twirling them both before settling them in her hands. It had been ages since she'd done any fighting, let alone held one of these but it felt like riding a bike.

"Mom?" Eli questioned, looking from the knives in his Mother's hands to the fight scene before them.

"Stay low!" she ordered, running out of the kitchen and vaulting over the couch to assist the Sheriff since Derek still held the upper hand protecting their son.

Just as her feet had touched the carpet, the Oni before her plunged its sword into the Sheriff's back. He cried out in pain and shock before disappearing in a cloud of black smoke. Sadie couldn't waste a second to mourn or question what had happened. She didn't wait for the smoke to clear and kicked the Oni who had killed Stiles' father. It staggered back from the blow, twirling its sword as Sadie spun, slashing the blade in her right hand through the air and into the Oni's chest. She watched as it crumbled into nothing before her before disappearing. Thankfully silver still worked. If she could just get into the garage, she'd have more than the two small blades in her hands.

Derek roared behind her, drawing her line of sight. He hadn't shifted in years in front of their son and she was thankful he'd done so. There was no way they'd win this fight with him remaining human. Deaton was nowhere in sight.

"Dad!" Eli called out, reaching for his Father as Sadie started towards them. Before she could reach them, another Oni appeared behind Derek in a cloud of smoke, slicing its sword through Derek's middle.

"No!" Sadie shouted, immediately tossing one of her knives towards the Oni. It withdrew its sword from her husband's chest to deflect it, sending it flying into the hallway.

The blinding rage she felt coursed through her veins as Derek disappeared in another cloud of black smoke, the Oni now advancing on her son. With a shout she threw herself at the Oni, pushing it back enough to knock the sword out of its hands. "GO!" Sadie shouted over her shoulder at Eli, lifting the Oni off its feet to slam it through their front door. The masked figure screeched in pain, exploding as the sun hit its form. Two down, one to go.

"Eli!" she screamed, but there was no one in the living room. Not even the bodies of her loved ones as she frantically searched her house. Running footsteps echoed from her basement as they approached. Sadie steadied herself just outside the door, only left with one knife. The figure from the basement leapt into the living room and she threw her last remaining knife, only to be caught by Malia just before it made contact with her chest.

"Malia?!" Malia dropped the knife as she advanced towards Sadie. Guilt was written all over her face. If Sadie had developed the werewolf sense of smell, she would have picked it up before Malia even entered the room. The werecoyote said nothing, reaching out towards Sadie in a way that was unfamiliar. It was how her mother would have comforted her.

"No," she breathed, pushing past Malia towards the rest of the house.

"ELI!" she screamed again. Sadie was frantic, verging on hysterical. Derek was gone. Her heart gave a lurch at the realization, stuttering again when she thought of how she'd just barely gotten him back from the brink of death. Sadie kept screaming for her son, ripping doors off the hinges to check every room.

Malia caught her before she advanced into the basement, spinning her on the spot to face her.

"Sadie!" Malia shouted in her face, realizing quickly it wasn't the right tactic. "Sadie," she tried again, but the woman in front of her wouldn't look at her. Tears were already streaming down her face.

"No. No please. Don't say it Malia," she moaned, sinking to her knees. Malia held onto her as she sank down with her, pulling her to her chest as she sobbed. Sadie wanted to claw out her heart from the pain. She wished she could summon claws like Malia could, it would be over so quickly. Then she wouldn't have to feel this pain. Maybe Malia would do it for her, she thought in her haze of grief.

"Sadie, do you hear me?!" Sadie blinked up at Malia. The werecoyote took her friend's face in her hands, "Snap out of it! They're not dead!"

That caught Sadie's attention through her fog of grief. "What?"

"Did people who got killed by the Oni last time disappear?" Malia prompted, giving her a hard shake when she didn't immediately reply. Her friend had zero patience, especially after what she'd just seen in the basement of Sadie's home.

Sadie's teeth clattered together as Malia shook her rougher than she needed to. Flashes of Beacon Hill's Hospital littered with bloody bodies after the Oni went on their massacre with Nogitsune Stiles raced through her brain. Allison's lifeless body in Scott's arms. Aiden on the pavement in front of the High School in a pool of blood. Her brown eyes lifted to meet Malia's finally, her voice urgent. "We need to find Lydia"
