Raiden was now surrounded by blue electric shocks. Grava was now hovering. They walked around an imaginary circle for a moment, neither wanting to let anger overtake them and then make a mistake. Then, finally, they charged towards each other.

Before they crashed with each other Raiden delivered a right hook which Grava took full force. As he was getting ready to punch her with his left, Grava then grabbed his arm, pulled, and used it as a support for her to kick him in his chest and then the face as she then did a back-flip to land on her feet. While Raiden recovered, Grava then summoned some of her metal particles and attracted them to her fist, creating a metal glove that she then planned to use against Raiden's face. The thunder god however blocked the attack with his forearm and then grabbed the glove which he then electrocuted, and as Grava remained still due to the pain, he then kicked her to the ground.

Not long after she went down, she spun around and got up while using her gravitational powers to make metal spikes spin around her. She was also more than ready to throw them at Raiden, but he knew how her powers worked: her gravitational powers didn't allow her to repel things from her, she just augmented the gravitational pull of objects behind her actual target that were connected to the ground; and right now, all Raiden had behind him was the generator which he knew Grava would not dare damage.

Reluctant about her situation, Grava then called back her metal particles. "Have you always been so aware of your surroundings?" she asked him with a mocking tone. He decided to ignore her and assumed a defensive stance instead.

Grava decided to charge and increased the gravitational pull of her fingernails over the pieces of metal to create knife-like nails. Before crashing against Raiden, Grava did a spin and tried to hit Raiden on the face with her left nails only for her attack to be blocked by his forearm; but that is what she wanted as she then stabbed him in the underbelly. She then threw him over her head and away from the generator, using her powers to momentarily make him light enough for him to fly to the other side of the room and crash against the wall with enough force as to dent it.

Thankfully, Raiden was also aware of the limitations of Grava's powers and living beings. Her gravity powers will work on living organisms if she touches them first and then keeps her concentration only on that being. That also meant that as soon as that concentration was broken, her powers over said being will immediately fade; and that meant that there was a way for him out of being crushed on the wall like Uso was. "Inda-mase!" he shouted as a lightning bolt came out of his hand. Grava rolled out of the way and Raiden was then able to feel the pressure against his body go away.

Unfortunately for Raiden, there was no time to recover. Grava was already running towards him, but he decided to do the same this time. They met at the center of the room and it was Raiden who did the first move. He did a horizontal chop with his left hand and then the right against her head, but she blocked them and then pushed him away. She then distracted him with the hanging sleeves of her kimono pretending to slash his face to then get behind him and then stab him in the lower back. Her nails remained there for a moment before she then moved her hand upwards and slashed Raiden's back, leaving 4 long and bloody marks under the now torn pieces of cloth.

Raiden screamed in pain, but immediately after did a back kick against her abdomen and quickly turned around. He gave her no time to recover as he then went for a punch to her face which she blocked only for him to kick her in one knee and head-butt her as she felt the previous pain and then fell on the ground. Raiden jumped in the air and tried to deliver a kick against her skull, but Grava rolled out of the way and got on her feet once again while in a crouching position. Immediately she jumped forward and before Raiden's roundhouse kick connected, she rolled forward and under the leg and managed to extend her hand to then cut Raiden on the right hip, once again tearing his clothes and leaving a deep cut in the process. She then went to deliver an uppercut which would have also left a long cut over his chest, but he managed to grab her arm and then delivered a hit with his open palm against her elbow. A cracking noise and Grava's yell of pain were quickly heard before he then let her arm go and then shocked her, making her retreat some steps.

Grava did not fall but was met with Raiden flying towards her and slamming his open hands against her abdomen, taking her along with him, but before they could hit the generator Grava sank her nails on both the sides of his chest. That made him lose control and he fell on the ground while Grava flew a few more meters and landed next to the generator. Raiden then managed to get up and quickly checked where Grava had hit him on the left, panicking when he noticed the giant hole on his robe.

"Looking for this!?" Grava asked him loudly while holding the memory cube. Before Raiden could do anything, Grava threw it on the floor and proceeded to stomp on it, breaking the cube into many tiny and unfixable pieces.

Enraged, Raiden called for his stave and then pushed it towards Grava. She, in turn, unsheathed her straight sword and blocked the incoming object which still managed to push her against the generator. Before she could counter, however, Raiden flew towards her once again and tackled her against the generator. He then grabbed her head and smashed it against a console until the screen and keyboard broke and shocked her. She then elbow-smacked him in the nose before kicking him away.

Raiden recovered fast enough to then intercept Grava's incoming sword swing once he summoned his stave. He could feel the rage behind every blow he blocked. He parried two blows to his head, jumped away from one to his legs, and evaded a stab against his chest, but when he tried to attack, she blocked them with her own set of attacks as well. A direct hit to her abdomen was brilliantly deflected with a horizontal slash, a blow to the head was blocked by her upper arm as she then went to thrust her sword on his forehead. It continued that way until he thrust his stave forward, but she jumped before it could connect; she then landed on the staff after using her powers to make herself heavier, and that made Raiden lose balance as she used that moment to deliver a kick on Raiden's chin which also made him lighter and that propelled him against the roof.

He then felt the effect of Grava's power leave, but when he opened his eyes, he was just able to see the soul of Grava's sandal before it hit his face, forcing his skull deeper into the roof and managing to crack some parts of the bone.

Grava then jumped down as Raiden's body slowly got out of the crater, and once he fell and was just above Grava's line of sight, she did a roundhouse kick against his chest which sent him back a few feet in the air and then rolling back once he made contact with the ground. He then slowly got up but never saw or heard the sword coming his way. He managed to move out of the way as to not be hit anywhere important, but the sword still got on his left shoulder and pushed him against the wall, he then saw the incoming pieces of metal and created an electric barrier that melted the pieces away.

"They must have shown you what happened to Konton, I assume…" she told Raiden. "It doesn't matter… I would not have killed you… I only need you out of commission…". She then raised her hand intending to call for her sword, but Raiden grabbed the pommel in an act of defiance against her. In response, she increased her gravitational pull over the sword, but he kept it in place. That went on and on until Grava's pull seemed to be wining, but so focused was she in getting her sword she never considered what Raiden did next.

He did not let go of the sword, he just allowed his body to be carried by it, and at an incredible speed, while he charged his left fist. Grava was not able to compute what Raiden just did as she then received the full force of the punch, the electric shock with it, and the pain on her back and the back of her head as she crashed against the floor.

Before she could stand up again, Raiden removed and broke her sword. She watched the spectacle and got up, charging towards Raiden immediately, but the thunder god expected her to do that as he then created an electrical field that stunned Grava in place. He then threw an electrical pulse towards the goddess that ended up pushing her towards the ceiling where she crashed.

Grava was still aware of the fight; and just like Raiden was aware of her tricks, she was more than aware of what Raiden did in battle, yet she refused to believe he would do what she thought he was going to do until he arrived next to her with the broken piece of her sword still attached to the pommel. He missed her spine for a few centimeters and the pain was immense, but she feared what would come next. "Are you insane!? You can't do that in here!".

He ignored Grava's warning and extended his arms sideways yelling "YAA!". Crumbling noises were heard from above and a bolt of giant lightning smashed against Grava, slamming her to the ground with enough force that she even rolled towards the room's entrance for a few seconds until her body finally laid facedown.

Raiden was satisfied with his victory, but he also knew of the risks at hand. The lights were now constantly flickering and throwing sparks every now and then while the roof was constantly shaking and cracking. It didn't help that the lightning had to go through who knew how many floors of granite, marble, and many other kinds of stone that might as well be piling over their immediate roof, but thankfully, everything stopped and only Grava's heavy breathing remained.

In turn, Grava managed to raise her bloody and bruised face while also resting on her elbows as she looked at Raiden with disgust. No more words were exchanged as Raiden then marched towards Grava's body intending to take her as his prisoner. That was the plan at first until they both heard voices coming from upstairs. "Move, move, move!" they heard a voice say and then the echo of footsteps growing louder.

Grava then looked at Raiden with a tired smile and he understood perfectly what she was thinking, but she then noticed as he looked at the roof and she did as well, finding the cracks next to the entrance's arch. She then looked at Raiden in disbelief thinking she had figured his plan, and indeed, he threw electric shocks to the crack, making the roof and the arch collapse. Grava then rested over her right elbow as she then used her power to leave the rocks suspended in the air just above her, but the more time passed, the more she felt debris beginning to pile up, she then tried to crawl on her back to get out of the way but heard Raiden conjuring more lightning bolts. Not sure of what he was planning, she then felt pain as he electrocuted her once more, breaking her concentration and allowing the debris to fall just as her Seidan Guards arrived.

Both gods were surrounded by complete darkness once again. Only the gasps coming from them both and the noise of the, somehow, still running generator could be heard. Grava was also grunting with pain meaning that she was still conscious. Raiden then used his powers to create a source of light on his palm, and now both gods could see each other; a mess of torn clothes, covered in blood and bruises alike. Raiden then noticed that Grava was struggling and saw that her legs were crushed due to the wall of rubble that now laid over her.

Grava then tried to lift the rocks, but she was finally exhausted. As much as she tried, the rocks only shook a little.

A feeling of relief then came over Raiden and he fell on his knees before sitting down. "It is done… it'll take your guards hours if not days to dig through that debris. And we'll be long gone by-". Raiden explained before he heard Grava mumbling to herself. He was curious at first, but he then understood some of the words she was saying, realizing she was not mumbling but chanting an incantation.

"Onte dere undaga!" she now said louder as a pink ball of light formed between her hands. The sacrificial attack, the last line of defense a protector god can use in extreme situations. A powerful explosion that can kill many enemies, but at the cost of the caster's essence.

Grava was still at the beginning of the incantation, which meant Raiden had some time to get out, he could try and stop her at the risk of the energy being released on a smaller but still deadly scale, but he then saw that Grava's version was quite different from his as something resembling what Earth's scientists referred to as a 'black hole' began to consume all around it. Panicking, he looked around and remembered the tear. 'But I don't have enough…' Raiden began to tell himself until he remembered the generator. Artificially produced electricity was in no way going to replenish his energy, but it was good enough for him to use in other ways.

Raiden quickly found a weak spot on the machine and punched it, effectively getting to the cables, and allowing current to flow through his body which he then threw towards the tear. After a short time, the black hole began to eat the generator, but the tear was also stabilized. Raiden looked back one last time to see a contorted Grava on the hole's event horizon almost done with the incantation, realizing fully well that her devotion had consumed her and that he now had to find what Onaga's plan was by other means.

"Une gandare I-sei!" she screamed, finalizing the incantation, and making the black hole collapse on itself, releasing a powerful explosion as Raiden went through the portal. He was momentarily blinded by the light that surrounded him for a moment before he emerged in the clearing of a forest. He kept on running for a moment until he was immediately pushed to the ground by a part of the explosion which still managed to violently shake the ground around him.

His godlike powers may have protected him but his back still felt the horrible burn. Raiden managed to turn around and saw as the tear absorbed itself, meaning it had been effectively closed. Raiden wanted to enjoy his victory, but he felt as his consciousness started to fade but without any sleep. His eyes did not close and all he could see were blurs of color mixing together with each other as sounds seemed to get further away.

"I think it came from- OH MY GODS!" he heard something say far way and then a pair of hands grabbing him by the head. "I think… he is still alive! Pom, Gant, he is still alive!". At that, his senses returned to normal and he saw a woman and two children with bright red hair and farm attires standing over him. "Are you alright? Were you hurt by that earthquake?" the woman asked.

Raiden did not answer but just sat up rapidly while gasping for air, making all three of them jump back. He looked around noticing the trees that surrounded him before he saw the family once again. "Where!?" he asked them.

"Where what…?" the boy asked in return with concern.

Raiden then got on his feet and walked towards them. "Where am I!?" he insisted.

"Where… what!?" the mother insisted.

"Where am I!?" Raiden yelled.

"Patch! You are in the forest of Patch!" the woman said as she hugged her children.

"Patch…?" Raiden asked confused but calmer.

"Patch… the island… in Vale?" the girl pointed out.

"Vale… Vale…" Raiden repeated, knowing that name from somewhere. "Remnant!" he said in realization. The family nodded. He then turned around and thought for a moment of what to do next.

"Are… you ok now sir?" the woman asked again.

"Huntsmen!" he said. "Academies! Huntsmen Academy!". With any luck, he could be close to one of the academies, preferably the one where Liu Kang and Kung Lao were.

"Well… I think Beacon is the closest… but… you need to go to a hospital".

"No! No hospital… Beacon! Beacon! Where!?" he asked violently once again scaring the family.

"I-I-I mean… it's east that way… but it will take you days and you are in no shape to make-". The woman was unable to finish her answer as Raiden raised his hand and out of the perfectly clear sky, made a lightning bolt fall over him.

The woman covered her children for a moment until only silence surrounded them once again. They all opened their eyes slowly and saw that Raiden was no longer with them. "What the actual darnation was that ma!?" the boy asked.

"I don't know Grant… I truly don't know".

The girl then walked towards where they found Raiden the first time. "Look ma! A funny hat!" she said as she placed the burnt but still wearable remains of Raiden's straw hat on her head.

Raiden materialized again next to a beach. He at first thought he was just on the coast of Patch, but the clear dark sky made him realize something else: he was way further east than what he intended.

He raised his hand again and went west, but this time he arrived in the middle of a forest again. It wasn't as dark, however, so he knew he was somewhere in between. He was able to see a mountain range to the west, meaning Beacon had to be on the other side. "I must get… to Beacon..." he said as the pain of Grava's attacks began to take over him. "Earthrealm… Earthrealm is… I must find the others… Edenia… Earthrealm…" he kept repeating to himself with ever-growing fear and panic of what would happen if Onaga decided to begin his attack as Raiden was out. He then remembered that his amulet was still in the hotel, so there were no communications of any kind. As panic grew ever more in him, he stopped moving when he heard heavy animal footsteps from behind him; then came the growling. Raiden looked around and noticed he was now surrounded by four of the dark creatures known as 'Grimm' in this world.

For the next days, it became routine for Raiden to fight against these beasts with what little energy he had, rest for a short while before more of those beasts returned, and then teleport a little more to the west. He did that countless times until one morning where he emerged from a forest and saw the distinctive tower of Beacon in the distance.

Bleeding to death and with a giant cut made by bird-like Grimm a few days ago, he used the last of his energy to get to Beacon by any means before he died from exhaustion. His biggest fear was dying on alien territory and not being familiar enough with this world for his godly essence to slowly reform, meaning he would be effectively dead.

Ozpin had grown used to the three sets of beeps coming from the heart monitors. It was the only source of sound since he forbade anyone from entering. Only a handpicked group was allowed, which include the head medic, the head nurse, and the members of his inner circle.

His thoughts about the stranger were interrupted when he heard the door open and two distinctive sets of heeled steps coming his way. "Report?" he asked, knowing full well that one of the steps belonged to Glynda. "They are hiding something. After the incident, the Branwen twins followed them to a mostly unused bathroom. During the day, each asked for a bathroom break at different times; they went to the same bathroom, but the Branwen saw them escaping through a window. They are good, I never saw them getting close to the medical wing; they were expecting me, as we presumed they might have been".

"But they were not expecting me," Winter said soon after. "They knew what they were looking for. They checked on patrol schedules, hiding spots, structural weaknesses. Even more, security in Atlas tells us that our people of interest went to an unused place on campus at the same time these students went to the bathroom and left around the same time the others did".

"Safe to say we are all thinking the same?" Ozpin then asked them.

"Yes sir!" Winter answered.

"They will make their move tonight" Glynda affirmed soon after.
