"In the beginning Ivy believed that she was the only one that was connected to Mother Earth as well could manipulate nature. However the years have passed in which she has learned about several others who've been able to use plant life to their own agendas, such as Black Orchid who's silent approach of being a hybrid plant woman guides her to protect all plant life. To that of the infamous Swamp Thing, 'defender of the green'. Which both him and Ivy have a 'complicated' relationship due to how she hates humanity and he tolerates it for nature to thrive. However in order to find Frank Ivy will have to connect to the green, she just needs to avoid not getting noticed by Swamp Thing during her connection."

Harley and Ivy Apartment-Morning

Last night was a hungover during the awards show since as they soon left they decided to get hammered. All except for Ivy since she needed to focus her mind into locating Frank, the only way to do that was connecting to the green. The tether which all plant based beings connect to in order to use nature to their whim. Making a cup of coffee along finding a good spot for her to meditate, she gets herself position in a comfortable spot where she begins to mediate.

"Alright. Time to see if I still connect to the green."

Ivy hopping that after all her time causing trouble with Harley and not focused on her career in destroying humanity. She could still connect herself to the green, closing her eyes she soon began to focus. Feeling her connection to the green Ivy felt like traveling threw a network of vines connected to the earth. While she was focusing on connecting to the Green, one of the doors opened showing Harley who was right now in a red and black robe who noticed her wife mediating.

"Ivy? You ok there? Need some company?"

Asking in a curious manner since when she woke up she didn't see Ivy close to her side by the bed. Walking over to Ivy's face she could see a calm expression on her face, in which got Harley annoyed since she wanted to have breakfast with her.

"If your not going to respond then I'll have to make company."

Suggesting to Ivy as she decided to lay her head on Ivy's legs as she was meditating to possibly comfort her in the moment. Continuing to get her attention, both Bebop and Rocksteady came out of the room noticing their boss trying to comfort Ivy like if she was a cat.

"The hell is up with Ivy? Did she pass out from the drinks?"

Bebop questioning about what was going on with Ivy since they didn't think she was meditating and recovering from last night. Though Harley shushed the boys seeing that they needed to be quiet for Ivy's sake. Looking over to her wife which was still showing no emotion as well like if she was struggling.

"So what's our next plan then boss? Start figuring out who else might be involved with kidnapping a plant?"

Rocksteady asking that both the court of owls and award shows were a bust due to how none of them gave Ivy any information about where Frank was. Deciding to head to the kitchen, both mutants got bowls of cereals for themselves and Harley since she would need the strength to help look for Frank.

"Maybe we should just go visit some crime bosses, I mean if I was some kind of jerkoff who wanted to get a edge in taking over Gotham. I'd use a plant and make it eat everyone."

Making a suggestion since most of Gotham's crime bosses always come up with either sophisticated plans in handling the business of the city. Or stealing someone's own property and make it into a weapon which would eventually destroy everything around them.

"It wasn't some crime boss that did it. They knew what was Frank along is fascinated with him due to his makeover, cause a potted Fly Trap? Whatever. Though a walking talking and possibly flying mutated plant? Fucking lot of sense."

Harley trying to make a assessment about what made Frank valuable to steal since having a mutated plant with untapped powers could be used for almost anything. Though the three thinking about who might have stolen their friend was interrupted by Ivy yelling in pain as she held her chest feeling like if she was being stabbed. Harley rushed over to see if her wife was alright as the look on Ivy's face showed both fear and terror.

"I felt his pain, whatever is happening to Frank is because of me. If I didn't bring him in then he wouldn't be in pain."

Starting to panic at how if she wasn't thinking about herself and heading into the Legion of Doom base then she could have seen who had taken Frank. Harley saw how stress Ivy looked and feeling afraid, going over she held her hands doing her best to comfort her about what happened.

"Listen to me. It wasn't your fault, it might have been mine for distracting you about the chance you turning into paradise."

Taking the blame for what happened as Ivy could see how it might have been her fault, but it was still hers for not thinking of brining Frank with her. It was sad moment for the mutants to be in. Rocksteady getting the idea of them needing some alone time nudged to Bebop's shoulder seeing how they should head out.

"Hey boss? Maybe we could do some recon outside. Give you two some space if that be alright."

Bebop asking about how they could have the apartment to themselves which Harley gave a thumbs up seeing how they needed it. The two grabbed some clothes as well their own weapons and decided to leave both Harley and Ivy to themselves, in which the red head could tell Harley about how she couldn't locate Frank.

"Even if I can't connect to the green, I feel his pain. It's impossible for me to see where he's exactly located."

Explaining to Harley that while she was up to date about certain individuals that could connect themselves with plant life. However it seemed she could connect herself properly to the plant life.

"Then how about we call one of the folks that are connected with 'the green'. I mean most of them can't be apart of the Justice League so they won't mind what where doing right?"

Asking her about that there were more people connected to the earth as well able to use plant life. However Ivy chuckled at the fact on calling assistance from the others since most of them weren't a fan of her since she used nature to destroy humanity.

"I got kicked out of any of those friends list. Besides, the one that has more of a connection than anyone in the Green is Swamp Thing. And we don't exactly have a good relationship in what's right for nature."

Ivy stating that while she had a good grasp on how to make plants grow as well rise from the ground, Swamp Thing was ten times the plant person she could ever be. Seeing that he resides in Louisiana swamps. Keeping his distance away from all human contacts and importantly makes sure all plant life is not harmed by anyone, either friend or foe.

"Well that idea can be thrown out the window. Cause we've done some incredible shit, and I mean incredible. So compared to me leading a army of parademons as well us fighting aliens and Triceratons. There's nothing we can't beat."

Harley reminding her about their adventures together as well handling anything that comes their way. While the idea sounded good and somewhat making Ivy more better about herself, they heard several footsteps rushing to the door and opening quickly. Which was a freaked out pair that was Bebop and Rocksteady, Harley groaned at the moment of them coming back.

"Seriously? What the hell I thought you were going out?"

Asking them about why they decided to come back, though suddenly they heard a thump at the door which wasn't light but strong. Similar if it was Bane demanding to get his pasta maker, but the two felt a strange cold sensation coming from the outside of the room.

"Ivy? Remember that Mr. Freeze dude that tried to save his girl from a sickness? I think it's come to might us in the ass."

Bebop reminding her about the blood transfer between Mr. Freeze and his wife who was trying to cure her disease. Which lead to the door freezing right behind the two mutants as they moved away quickly to protect both Harley and Ivy as it soon exploded. The room now covered in snow the four looked to see a surprising sight, a woman. Or female polar bear wearing armor that belonged to Mr. Freeze, though from the cold look on her face both Harley and Ivy recognize the bear even with the red goggles covering her eyes.

"Nora?"

Questioning the mysterious mutant bear as it was no mistake that the cure had worked, but not to the extent of her mutating into a polar bear. Looking at the four, she merely snarled at them as Nora appeared to have accepted the new form she was currently in.

"Nora Fries died when my husband gave his life to save mine. Along how you didn't tell me about the mutation that was within the blood transfusion. There is now only, Mrs. Freeze."

Introducing her proper name to them as she showed them her own modified freeze gun. Seemingly unable to defend themselves since they were in a small space, Harley decided to act quickly in the situation.

"Hang on there frosty."

Stopping Nora from possibly turning them into snow people as Nora turned her head at the clown woman seeing how she was the reason for her husband's death as well her transformation. Though seeing from their emotions and lack of effort to defend themselves, she decided to hold off from the freezing.

"Whatever revenge emotion your going threw, is basically the cooping of losing the only man that has ever dedicated his life in saving. I used to hear him trying to figure out ways to save you. But right now your not thinking straight because what your feeling is called 'Mutant Rage'. Which my boys here use when they go threw a large amount of pain."

Deciding to use her psychiatrist part of her brain than her usual chaotic nature since this was a delicate matter that needed to be handled professionally. Nora listen to her as well feeling that state of what Harley was explaining as she tried to not let her animal side take over.

"This pain? Emotional. Which needs to be directed to something else, because right now you've been alone for a while. So maybe spending time with us can help you 'open' up."

Offering something of a friendship being made between them and the polar bear woman as Nora merely stared at them not trusting the idea. Seeing how she wasn't trying to distract her or possibly attack due to the talking she was doing, Nora merely placed her freeze gun onto her back while giving them a questionable look.

"What do you have in mind?"

Asking them about what Harley could suggest in learning to control her mutant side since after the blood transfusion happen. The mutation has left her both isolated from the public while residing in the one place that her husband had made a home for her. Seeing the distress on her face, Harley looked over to Ivy seeing how she could use this new 'friend' to their advantage in learning where they could find Frank and making Swamp Thing help them.

New Orleans-Louisiana Swamps

After going to Enchantress in offering a means of transportation. She was able to teleport the five right towards the swamps in a instant, however it wasn't a soft landing since they fell right from the sky. Both Bebop and Rocksteady had a hard landing in dropping right into the water, while for Ivy was able to make a tree catch them due to how much wild life was around them.

"Next time. We're buying a ticket here. Not taking a damn portal here."

Suggesting to Harley of how being teleported from Gotham all the way to the swamps wasn't exactly a smart idea. Finding a spot to set their footing, the three looked at the swamp as well how peaceful it was.

"Talk about your perfect garden, it doesn't smell like oil drums or even raw sewage. Seriously Swampy here keeps this place in check."

Harley admiring the place since she thought it was going be full of alligators along mosquitos swarming the place along hunters. Though there was nothing, only plant life growing as well birds settling in tree's. The peaceful moment was soon interrupted by some rough housing as the three turned to both Bebop and Rocksteady as they were cleaning themselves from the swamp water.

"Sorry boss but that's a load of shit. There leeches in the water!"

The warthog calling out as he saw several blood sucking leeches attached to his arms. Removing them off he made sure none of them had a chance to drink his blood, while for Nora. She was annoyed with how they were acting as she looked around scooping the area for any sign of Swamp Thing.

"Let's move."

Sounding serious since Harley suggested that in order to control her mutant side since for the past months she's been freezing people who've tried to take her husband's technology. As they begun to walk pass the tree's as well trying to see a tall as well fully vined adult male, there was time to ask about Nora's livelihood since they left her alone to grieve for her husband.

"So. What's new with you?"

Ivy starting off since while her mind was still set on finding Frank and hopping he was safe. She still was fascinated that her procedure with Nora ended up with her becoming this 'Mr. Freeze' two point zero. The red goggles wearing polar bear sighs at the topic.

"Dismal. After having buried my husband in a grave and trying to enjoy my new life, I started to feel the change from the blood transfusion. While my sickness was diminished, the mutagen blood that my husband used to strengthen my blood cells and immune system began to change me. However unlike Victor I didn't need a helmet to protect me from the heat. I was able to thrive and survive the extreme temperatures."

Nora starting off on how when they left her to mourn for her husband, she did her best to make a new life. To then have it suddenly change by her transformation, luckily it kept her humanity as well allowed her to survive the natural environment. They kept together since the swamp was the creature's territory, as well could attack them at any moment.

"Soon enough men tried to obtain Freeze's equipment in their own gang wars. So I decided to take up his name, and make sure that he wasn't a mad man but a scientist who tried to help me. And died for it, along possibly take my revenge on your two pets since they turned me into a oversized rug."

Informing them about how if she couldn't be Nora Fries, then she would be a woman that no one again would make fun of as well use her husband's technology to make sure no would think of him as anything else. Both Harley and Ivy felt sorry for leaving her in this state and not checking up on her since they took partial blame in fighting him. Continuing their journey there was a rustling going across the water along that the birds began to fly away.

"Boss?"

Rocksteady asking a bit concern as the five them felt the water shifting as well the tree's groaning in a frightening manner. Soon enough several vines rushed at them fast as Nora was able to freeze them in a instant, however it didn't stop them as the vines came after Bebop and Rocksteady as they tied the two up.

"This is so fucked up!"

Bebop squealing at how he was being tossed around by the veins as the two tried to break out. However for Harley and Ivy, the three women noticed a shadow emerging from the bushes. They saw a pair of red eyes staring at them as well them attached to a massive man, walking out they saw it was none other than Swamp Thing.

"You don't belong her Pamela Ivy."

He spoke her real name due to their connection to the green as well how each individual who uses plant life are connected to one another. The trio stood their ground as well tried to not be frightened by the living embodiment of nature itself.

"We're not picking a fight. I just need your help in finding a plant that was taken from me."

Stating her case since if Ivy knew anyone that cared for plant life either massive to minuscule, it would be Swamp Thing. Though the look on his face knows otherwise due to how separate they were in symbolizing nature and plant life.

"Any plant that you create is to fulfill your own desires, not for nature or the Green. As well cohort with others they have destroyed plant life in Gotham City."

Swamp Thing accusing her of several crimes against the plants along that while they were able to use nature, she would use it for either criminal actions or to her own ends. Seeing how there was possibly no answer to this service, Nora decided to persuade him in more direct approach.

"We've came here to this dump to search for answers. So either give her what she needs or I will turn this swamp into a frozen lake."

Threatening him as she aimed her freeze gun at Swamp Thing, that was a mistake for them in which the green creature raised his hands into the air making the plant life rise to his aid. Heading towards the three, the women did their best to avoid the lashes as well getting grappled by the vines. While Ivy tried to stop them with her own power, but she couldn't do it since Swamp Thing was more powerful here.

"You just had to shoot Nora. I do that shit and things get resolve, next time wait for us to get to the fight!"

Harley shouting as she was soon captured by the vines as she was brought up by her friends side, Nora did the same as well trying to freeze the plants. Which lead to her being captured and tied up with the others, however Ivy was the last one as it seemed that Swamp Thing wanted her to herself.

"There is nothing you care for Pamela, no emotion of others either human or plant for when they are lost."

Telling her about how he knew she cared for herself and her own goals, however that was the last straw leaving Ivy grip her fist and stare at Swamp Thing not afraid but angered by how he thought she knew about her emotions."

"Lost? You have no idea the feeling I'm experiencing about knowing what lose is!"

Raging out at him as she was able to stop the vines from holding her friends as well placing them down to the side. They saw how Ivy had tapped into her inner plant self and stopping the swamp attack on them, however this wasn't out of focus but of emotion.

"Ever since I was a child my parents made me hate humanity, which lead me to seek comfort from plants. But when that didn't help cause they couldn't talk to me, that was I managed to make Frank. The first actual person to care for me before Harley. And it's my fault he's gone."

Telling him about the lost of her friend as well feeling her voice break under the stress of the situation. Harley wanted to rush in but the vines stopped her and the others trying to get close to them. All they could do was watch the two plant beings at a stand still to see who would win.

"And I can't find him. Even the green can't help me, and it's fair. Because I did abuse plant life, and not think about the plants I used for my own personal life. And right now I can feel Frank in pain, which is tearing me apart because he's the only one that gave a shit about me. I can't do anything about it."

She began to show tears as well lost control of the plants around her, collapsing on her knees she began to weep at her emotions being open. Everyone saw how Ivy was breaking down to a vulnerable state, it was sad. Especially to Swamp thing at how he was once in this state. Alone and failing to save one person that cared for him then anyone else. Feeling the truth from her sentence, Swamp Thing calmed down the environment around them as well stopped his attack.

"The Green was always with you. It only needed to see your real self, the self that cared for others. The side that you kept hidden."

Swamp Thing acknowledging her pain as Harley rushed over to her side hugging her for feeling like this. Plus Bebop and Rocksteady since they two what it was like as well making sure she didn't feel alone. While for Nora, even with a frozen heart began to feel the same emotion she had for Victor before he died. This moment made her realize of how this was the life he gave to her, not to embrace the cold but feel the warmth of life and it's people.

Later-Swamp Thing's Cabin

After finally settling down and able to calm themselves from the encounter, the defender of the green brought them to his personal cabin where they could be at home. Right now he was curious about Nora's condition leaving the others to enjoy the beverages he had ready for them.

"I can't believe I'm saying this but beignets are awesome."

Rocksteady stating as he along Bebop had their mouths filled with the snack along Harley since Swamp Thing had a connection to several truck owners who were allowed to enter in exchange for the snacks. Finishing another pastry, Harley saw Ivy looking at herself in the water along her red hair acting up.

"Shit. I guess when opening up I get a makeover."

Ivy noticing her new hair design which was more flowing along wild like, to which she didn't expect when she challenged Swamp Thing. However for Harley, she wrapped her hands around Ivy's waste which made the plant woman surprise for the sudden hold.

"It looks good on you, reminds me of a wild Jane from those jungle movies we used to watch at Arkham."

Commenting on her new hairstyle in which Ivy laughed a bit of how Harley was trying to cheer her up. Which was working as she felt more relax after letting her stress out in front of Swamp Thing. The four notice the door opening showing a much calmer Nora Freeze as the polar bear woman as she apparently had a rose by the side of her ear. There was a silent moment since they could smell tea and that of flowers coming off from her fur.

"No way. You banged the weed man? Did he give you some weed?"

Bebop asking since he could smell the swampy essence coming off from her, Nora merely snarled her fangs at him seeing how that was her own business. Though smiled at that apparently was the case since the two shared several things that the others didn't know about.

"We share common things, both of us have either lost or been rejected out of our relationship. We've turned away from humanity to accept what we're now our, also he's quite good at making tea."

Describing that since the two had no one to share their time with along unable to fit in anywhere, it was good to have each other. Coming out of the cabin was Swamp Thing who looked much calmer just like Nora, as well looking to Ivy as it seemed he was ready to aid her.

"The Green will now allow you to look for Frank. However the blockage of locating him was of the green was because of your emotions, but now expressing yourself. You will be more fluent in locating Frank."

Explaining that Ivy was able to locate Frank, but her self doubt and fear made it impossible to do it. While it was a annoying trope of learning about the power inside them, however if it was to help find her friend then she'd have to ignore it. Giving Ivy the proper space for her to use the green, she calmed herself as she soon began to search threw the Green. Traveling across its vines and tendrils connecting to the Earth, she was able to get a glimpse of where Frank might be.

"Let me out! Why the hell am I here?!"

Hearing his voice and seeing how Frank was strapped to a table. Along a figure staring down at him, he had long black hair with a scar mark on his right face with black eyes. Snapping out of her trance she looked confused onto who the man was.

"Babe? Did you figure out who got Frank?"

Harley asking him about who might be the kidnapper, in which she nodded as she needed something to describe the man. Pulling out her phone she begun to draw a image of the man she saw holding Frank hostage. Both Bebop and Rocksteady got curious to see who would be dumb enough to steal a plant, in which they took a minute to look at the sketch.

"Oh shit."

The two said as they recognized the image as well getting flashbacks about the man as well how the situation had gotten tense. Both Harley and Ivy saw the fear in their eyes realizing that there was only one man that could make a pair of mutants like them freak out.

"Boys? This guy here in the drawing, he doesn't have a fetish with blades now does he?"

Asking them in which the two nodded of how the man that Ivy saw during her connection in the vine was their former master. Oroku Saki, or in better terms for Harley and Ivy to understand. The Shredder, who apparently has his hands on Frank and more importantly back in Gotham City.
