Chapter 44 (S.O.S Part 2)
"Some of you readers are probably wondering what really took place from the last chapter since the sorry author of mine is being super lazy and making all of us wait so long for an update. And then finally updates us and give us a short crappie chapter in which I consider...Bullshit!." said Maymax, with her arms crossed and turned her head to face the author with a tipped off look.
"Hey, now I am trying my best to continue with this story. It's not easy coming up with chapters." John2851 said, with his hands up in defense.
Maymax rolling her eyes, "Yeah, and for some odd reason you keep creating brand new stories and disown your old works. Shame on you!."
"Okay, pretty young thing, you've got me there. Alright, I have recently been making new stories and then updating them and such. I mean who on earth is reading Team Future besides the people I know?.", John2851 questioned.
"Well, duh, everyone in the whole world is reading it. You asshole," said Maymax, pulling out her middle finger.
"Alright!. Geez, I'll stop creating new stories and focus more on my old works. John2851, said.
"Including this story?." Maymax asked, getting into my face.
"Yes, including this story. And six feet apart, please!. Oh, I forgot that I wrote you as an AI and so I have zero chances of getting Covid-19. Without further ado, go ahead and show everyone what took place right before Void and her crew came to TF tower, and stuff." said John2851, getting up and heading straight into the kitchen and ramble into Team Futures refrigerator.
"Glady. Alright everyone get ready for the real deal. I'm uploading the information giving to me by your favorite author. Oh, and John?. You can have Violet's ice cream box. Those things are going straight into her hips. SPOILER ALERT: VIOLET ANNIE PARR IS A FAT ASS, JUST LIKE HER AUNT CASS!." claimed Maymax, smirking.
"LOL!." John2851 said, laughing and eating Violet's ice cream.

Hiro flew through the clouds with great speed following the coordinates that his screen is showing him while Maymax looked on through her short screen while asking the boy's master plan, right before the moment of truth that they are heading right towards the thing.
"Now, I know you're smart enough to create a plan and not go into the fight without one. So, tell me?." Maymax raised her eyebrow, said.
Hiro looked at Maymax and said, "I'm going to go and sneak into the party and go inform my aunts about the whole setup, and then bring the real crook to justice. Either that or Miguel might force just do his own knowing him. And speaking of Miguel, Maymax please call him and tell him to come and play."
"Sorry, but I called ahead and got the same results." Maymax plainly said in a boring kinda way.
"Huh, no response. Now, I thought I installed tracker chips in everyone's comlinks," recalled Hiro, flying out of the way from being hit by an airplane and waved to a few people inside when passing through.
Maymax scratched her black short hair, "You did but wherever he is, the place is blocking the signal. Only time will tell when Miguel returns, Hiro. Have some faith in your hispanic cousin of yours."
Hiro took the chance to flop down on top of another airplane that is heading in the right direction that he is going and decided to save some energy in his armor suit, "But we need him now. There is no doubt or denial of the fact that Miguel is the powerhouse of TF. And whatever it is that keeps Miguel from finding the one who is pulling the strings or alerting him of major danger, has to be something do with the supernatural."
"Agree. Still, I do question when Miguel is going to both return on time and inform us on what is going on," said Maymax.
"And speaking of informing go and spread the word to Honey and Uncle Bob. We need every single inch of advantage to win this fight," informed Hiro, just before laying down and watch the clouds.
"I already sent them a mandatory text as we speak. Now, I just need to text or call your aunts but, unfortunately, they are currently too distracted with their big banquet celebration. I forgot to tell you that after they stopped ScreenSlaver aka the fake one, Winston has arranged tomorrow's party with world leaders along with their country's representing superheroes on one of his massive billion-dollar cruise ships." said Maymax.
Hiro looked at the AI with a raised brow., "For what?."
Rolling her eyes at the question, Maymax then said, "Your butt is clueless. Winston Deavor has convinced the whole world that we need superheroes and such they decided to come together, and sign the unbanned hero bill to legalize superheroes. And get this, his broadcasting live to all to see. I guess he can make things happen for us."
"Not if she has anything to say about it. The only regret I have is that we should never break my brother's promise when he said to never let anything stopping us from being heroes. But we're making it up to Tadashi at this very moment." Hiro told Maymax, right before getting off the plane, and zoomed down over to the place since he was a few miles away.
Looking at the time and see it is nightfall, Hiro hacked into his aunt's comlink's and talk to warn them. That is until he stumbled upon their conversation with someone that he is going after. He stopped in mid-air just so he can touchdown on one of the roofs. Then he approached the edge of the roof and kneeling down with his left leg while facing Deavor's second-largest tower. With this in mind, he ordered Maymax to switch his vision screen to detective mode thus allowing him to see people through walls and detect usable or useful objects in the environment. Plus, also give Hiro to see the skeletons of any person who are blue meaning that they're unarmed or unharmed. If their bodies are in red it will show him that they are armed with guns while none gun carriers who just armed with knives, broken glass bottles, pipes, and even body armor.
Hiro looked to find five people all tied down to a chair with a pair of goggles on their faces while being inside a breakable glass chamber. He studied the goggles and saw they were temporarily inactive based on his screen readings before seeing a six-member in the room who wasn't tied down let alone not inside the glass chamber but, instead was the one being the hostage leader with the remote in hand.
"Maymax, upload identification and emotional status to my detective mode, please," ordered Hiro, before seeing a long bar at the bottom of his screen downloading his request and then show both the identity and emotion of the people inside.
"Done," replied Maymax.
Now, looking at his screen he could see the names of the hostages and identify his aunts who were trying to break loose from their bondage. Hiro read their emotional state as a mixture of fear, hurt, and anger. With this, he tuned in on their conversation and see what are they talking about.
In the barely dimmed massive room both struggling to get out, Helen, Luisa, Cass, Franny, and Sierra were looking right at the person responsible for the whole thing from day one with anger.
"Oh, it is no good for you five to attempt to break free. That rope is both slip and cut resistance. And besides, I need you five to help me accomplish my plot."
Helen looked at the woman who she now formally calls her friend with bitterness, "What plot?. Help you with what, Evelyn?."
Evelyn Deavor aka The ScreenSlaver approached close to the glass with an evil smile, "Oh, it is simply you five. I want to have an absolute guarantee of having you supers ban forever indefinitely."
"But why?. Why are you going to destroy the hard work that you and Winston have put together to help make supers legal again?." Luisa questioned after done trying to break free.
"That's the million-dollar question in which I have the answer to.", Evelyn looked at all five with hate and coldness, "It was your kind that caused my mother and father's deaths. That night when they should have escaped out of that house when they were being robbed they went and stayed in their room, and desperately tried to reach out to Gazerbeam through his communication phone. Not accepting the truth to realize that they were banned they lost their lives in the process."
Franny looked at Evelyn with rage and said, "Hey, it is not Gazerbeam or any other superhero's fault that they died. It was the courts who..."
"It was you supers that killed my parents!.", roared Evelyn, with a pointed look. Then she said once backing up from the glass, "I'll never forget nor forgive you superheroes for what you've done to myself and Winston. He wanted to bring supers back while I saw an opportunity to give the world another reason why ya should stay banned, and might as well be locked away behind bars."
"I just have one question for you, Evelyn.", Luisa looked at the woman with the pain of betrayal, "How come The Rider did not discover you from the beginning?."
Evelyn chuckled evilly while playing with the remote in hand, "Simple, it was him who helped me prevent that bastard from finding me let alone prevent him from sensing my recent activity. Like when I hypnosis the pizza boy to pretend to be the ScreenSlaver after he gave me that cold pizza, which I hate cold pizza and so I fooled you five including everyone that it was the crook."
"Him?." said all five.
"She meant me." came a voice, stepping out of the shadows.
There wearing an all-black suit attire with a pair of dark shades stood a black man with a Jamaican braided hairstyle that touched his back. He had on pimp jewelry rings on both hands and fingers minus his thumbs. He smirked at the ladies who did not have a single clue as to who he was or how he has something to do with Miguel not finding the true ScreenSlaver. He approached them before removing his dark shades to reveal his deep red eyes that can put fear in anyone.
"Please allow me to introduce myself. I'm Astro Jones." He looked at Luisa and said in a Jamaican accent, "To you and all of the Hispanics let alone every Spanish-speaking country in the world, I'm...Dark-Shadow."
"Dark Shadow?!." Franny spoke in great shock, "As in Xibalba's shadow creature?. Boy, and I thought you're going look so goddam ugly."
Dark-Shadow laughed in response as this was the first time hearing something like this before, "Hehehe, now, that is what I call funny. You see you five, Evelyn been studying the cult of darkness and managed to summon me for aid. And in such, I gave her my only amulet to help prevent the teen from finding her...see."
Evelyn pulled out an all-black amulet with bright red, green, blue, and purple stones all lined up to form a four horn demon. This caused the five to be even more furious at the sight of it.
"I don't need flame head to interfere in my work so, I to take desperate measures," recalled Evelyn.
"Indeed." agreed Dark-Shadow, "I especially don't need Skull Rider on my back when I go handle things overseas. Since her cult followers attempts are declining by every second."
"Wait, pause. This guy is the one responsible for Miguel not finding Evelyn?." question Hiro, after switching off detective mode and switch back to the normal screen.
"It appears so, Hiro. You need to destroy that amulet right away. Now." ordered Maymax.
Hiro stood up and then flew up in the air facing the right section spot of the building before switching the helmet's voice box to be more robotic with a hint of static, before holding his thrusters on his boots and fly straight at top speed and instantly activated hype speed in his armor. At this, he crashed right in with the great entrance while alarming everyone before targeting the amulet in Evelyn's hand and shot a light repulser blast at the thing. Thus, shattering it into tiny bits of nothing.
"Iron X!." cried the Dynamics in both joys and worry for the young hero.
"Don't worry I heard everything and I'm about to blow this guy's face off.", Hiro turned to face the man with his hand out ready to blast the shadow demon, said.
That is until he saw that the man was no longer at the spot where he was. Hiro checked his sensors and instantly found him but did not expect to find him from behind!. Dark-Shadow grabbed Hiro in the air and slammed him hard into the marble floor even though his weight plus the armor's weight were too heavy for anybody, except for Bob and Miguel to lift. Hiro hit face-first thus causing his helmet screen to crack completely as it was hard to read what it is projecting. He tried to get back up but only to be pushed back down hard to the already shaped body ground by Dark-Shadow's foot, who is now highly angered at what Hiro has done to his amulet.
"You little bastard!. Now, The Rider will come after Evelyn!." yelled Dark-Shadow, stepping hard and creating both damages and dents to Hiro's suit.
"Leave the boy out of this!.", screeched Cass, now making the big effort to try to break free from the impossible rope.
With fast thinking, Hiro fired his rocket boots and flew out of Dark-Shadow's hand and flew to the top and try to aim at him. Unfortunately, his screen was extremely cracked all over and begin to show a random dot pixel pattern of static making it completely difficult to see and aim. Hiro missed his target by a long shot and rounded up shooting overhead and then make the attempt to call Maymax, but his helmet was beyond damage to even speak or hear the sassy AI. This was one big mistake that Hiro made by underestimating his enemies let alone have a feeling that he was going to repeat the same mistake shortly in near future. Only except that the next mistake is going to affect everyone. And I mean Everyone.
"Come here!.", Dark-Shadow said, stretching his dark shadow to grab Hiro by the ankle and slam him into the floor before throwing him into the chamber.
All five watched the whole thing in horror as they can not do anything to help stop the man from hurting Hiro. What hurts them the most was hearing Evelyn chuckle darkly at the sight of the fallen young hero. She came closer to the knockout armor warrior said, "And down goes Iron X. Pfft, and here I thought you all that."
"You bitch!.", spat Sierra, "You are going to pay for this!."
"That is if she does not succeed in her plan...without my aid," said Dark-Shadow, putting back on his shades.
He turns to see a well shocked Evelyn who looked horrified at hearing this. Especially, coming from a dark evil shadow creature who she has been leaching on for so long. And now, without the demon's aid her chances of success, Evelyn will have to face the music that lays ahead of her in the morning. Including facing off against Miguel.
"What!?. N...No!. You can not leave me like this. Please, Astro, do not let me deal with these supers all by myself.", Evelyn looked at him with a shade of fear, "I'm no match for The Skull Rider and you know that!."
Dark-Shadow straightens up his dark tie with a catchy humming tune before looking back at Evelyn with an unimpressed facial expression, "That sounds like a personal, personal problem. I wish you the utmost best of luck. You will need it."
Evelyn was about to plea for him to stay before he instantly fades into the darkness and never be seen again.
Feeling the burning rage within Evelyn as she yelled before continuing her plan to end, "Fine!. I'll end Team Future by myself, with or without you!. Damn you...Damn you to hell!."

Miguel saw the events unfolded through the greenish oval window created by Victoria, who used her amulet to create some kind of time opening door. The two saw how Evelyn used The Elastic Dynamics through hypnotics to fight against Miguel's uncle who arrived late and has gotten himself suckered into Evelyn's lies by saying that his mother and his aunts have lost their minds, and made them attack him knowing he wasn't going to lay a punch on them. In the end, it was Bob who got himself trapped in the spider's web when a mind-controlled Helen kissed him in which he did not resist. It gave Luisa the chance to put the goggles on Bob who is now a part of Evelyn's puppet collection. Miguel tried to count to ten to lower his temper before accidentally set his friend's house in flames.
"And after this, Evelyn made one of them reveal your team's base of operations and sent those currently new superheroes at your doorstep. At this very moment, they are doing an amazing job ambushing them even though your backups are trying to put up a fight.", said Victoria, before having her arms out and then slowly forming an X to close the glowing green thumb-size gem that stood center in the amulet, and locked tight by the two slides that formed a cross. "That, and she left Hiro inside that chamber since she can not hack his suit thanks to that incredible firewall virus that he installed in his and Penny's suits."
"Send me back to the tower, Victoria. I have to save my family and friends.", said Miguel, instantly turning into his Rider persona and then summoning his motorcycle in which came to him by coming through the floor, in a fiery entrance when opening the wooden floor wide open.
"Gosh, I love your style.", admired Victoria, "Oh, and you're going to need this."
With a twirl of her fingers, she brings forth a baby back carrier that is attached to Miguel who looked confused as to why Victoria put this on him. His question was answered when seeing the woman twirl her right-hand index finger to create a big sparkle circle in mid-air. Next, he watched Victoria reached inside the makeshift portal and pulled out a giggling Jack-Jack. With this, she then pulled Miguel over with an actual mime rope pull trick before turning his back to face hers and put Jack-Jack in the carrier.
"Why do I need him?. His is just going to slow us down," argued Miguel, before hopping on his bike.
"Trust me, Miguel your baby cousin maybe underage and have yet to comprehend his childlike actions. But he is your best trump card for you guys to stop Evelyn and legalize superheroes," said Victoria, before summoning an open rift to the battle inside of TF tower where the window is positioned on the giant brick costume woman who is squeezing hard on poor Penny, who was struggling to break free with armor and all.
"But how do you know you're right, Victoria?. What is it that you're not telling me?." Miguel asked before seeing Victoria step aside from the portal.
Victoria looked at her best friend and said with seriousness, "If I tell you now and not tell you at the right place at the right time then, what I told you about beating Evelyn and legalizing superheroes will not happen. Trust me and go now. Now!."
Without daring to make the Grand Superior Sorcerer say it the third time, Miguel holding down the gears to his motorcycle. Given it the thrust hold before letting it loose with the hit of boost energy. The Soulcycle blasted off with unmeasured speed and zoomed straight into the portal with Victoria quickly out of the way from being beyond burned.
"Hold on Jack-Jack!.", Miguel yelled, when entering the other side of the portal and had his front tire wheel hit face-first to Brick.
Brick automatically dropped Penny, who flew away from Brick, and begin firing rubber bullet missiles at the giant. Miguel pulled out his chain and wrapped around her ankles, and drove forward to bring her crashing down on top of Voyd. Given Dash to break free from her endless tunnel hold and gave him the jump to Violet's aid who was dome shielding herself from Krushhauer who is crushing her within her dome with the power of his telekinesis, just simply crushing his hands together.
"Off my sister!.", Dash said, bumping the black man off with the help of his super speed.
"Thanks for joining us, Rider. Even though you never answer your calls," said Vanellope, speak bitterly cold to her boyfriend before cheery bombing Voyd who instantly got knocked out.
"Sorry, I have to handle business." Miguel jumped off his motorcycle when got near the owl man by riding up the ceiling.
"Like what?.", Wilbur threw a static ball at his enemy who is an organic electric superhero, "And it's better be good too.", he said.
"Sure. As as we get the heck out of here!.", said Miguel, before strike punching GoGo and Wasabi on the same blow when noticing the goggles on their faces, once their helmets were removed of course.
Penny zoomed out of the way once detecting a huge object coming underneath the floor and out came a battle suited Baymax, who Maymax ordered her none AI brother to come out of the laboratory and help save the slightly prepared Team Future. With no need for giving an order, Baymax quickly lunched his smoke pellets from his wrists and smoked the whole room. Giving the right moment for them to flee out of there and regroup.
"I hacked Bob's old Incredible-mobile and it's on the way right...now!.", said Maymax.
As called on time the car slammed right in the door entrance, hitting Fred out of the way and had him crash into the kitchen. Wilbur and the others excluding Miguel and Baymax all jumped into the car. With this, the car zoom blasted right on out of there with Miguel leading the front with Baymax taking the sky. They drove to a nearby cave tunnel and stay there until both Maymax and Baymax finished scanning the area to see if the mind-controlled supers were still out there. The team waited patiently for any feedback from the two before taking the right time to both plans for their next move and talk with what Miguel knows.
The Spirit of Justice told them everything on who was the real villain and reveal Evelyn's wicked plans let alone explain about the dark shadow creature, who was responsible for preventing Miguel from finding them. Plus, explained on what happened to Hiro and the Dynamics along with Uncle Bob who is now a controlled zombie. The news did not go smoothly for the rest as this is not something to take lightly let alone knowing the odds stacked against them.
"Did that witch told you our chances of winning, Miguel?.", asked Penny, polishing her helmet after cleaning the sawdust off.
Miguel rocked Jack-Jack to sleep and placed him on his shoulder while still patting him, "Victoria does not like to be called a witch, Penny. That is highly offensive from what she told me. Furthermore, she did not tell me about our chances of winning. She only said that if she tells me now and not tell me at the right time and place then, beating Winston's sister and legalizing superheroes will not happen."
"That sounds sketchy, Miguel. She is definitely hiding something here.", said Wilbur, removing his mask for a brief moment.
"Still, if you said that she is the one that keeps our reality afloat then I have to trust her word.", Vanellope said, accepting the idea information.
Violet scratched her head with thoughts pouring in and worrying about her family. Wondering if Hiro is either alive or dead just frightens her a lot but, have to keep a focused head or else. "I got a plan. We need to go crash that party. Penny you are going to have to find Hiro while the rest sneak onto that boat. Somehow, we need to find a way to disconnect those goggles and save our family. As Evelyn. If she claims to be smart she'll surrender."
Dash looked at Violet boringly, "And if she refuses?."
"Then will let Miguel have her ass.", said Violet, grinning back at Miguel who grinned as well.
"The area is safe. I'm sending the jet to come pick you guys up. Traveling through the air will be much faster than driving on the road.", came Maymax.
The TF jet flown down in front of them with the door open as Maymax took control of the Incredible-mobile and drove it inside the jet. The kids got out of the car and buckled in their seats with Baymax seating down in the corner right beside Miguel's Soulcycle. Violet sat in the pilot seat with Maymax taking control of the jet and flew out of the place. Heading to their destination without nothing stopping them from their mission. Now that Dark-Shadow is out of the equation and aid of Evelyn.
"Just hang on in there, Hiro. Your team is on the way. And coming in hard.", whispered Violet, placing her mask back on her face with strong determination.
