A/N: I´m sorry, everyone. The past week has been busy, that´s why this update took so long.

Princess Bella - Chapter Three

The next few days, I tried to bring Sophia back to life. And I tried everything I could think of! I held her in my hands while I imagined she was alive again. I folded another rabbit and wished that rabbit would crawl from my hands. I even put the remains of her in the sunlight, hoping that would help, but nothing did.

She was dead.

I complained about this to Jacob, because I knew he had seen her, alive and well, but he offered no help.

¨It's not mother's fault your rabbit is dead,¨ Jacob told me. He wanted to say ´it's yours´ but he was wise enough to stop himself.

And I knew he was right! If I weren't so damn reckless all the time, Sophia would still be alive and I wouldn't have to sew every damn day.

Each day after breakfast, Mother waited on me in the sewing room and I had to work until dinner. Mother had prepared a dark blue silk fabric that needed to be sewn into a suit for Prince Edward. Each day I worked harder than before, because Mother kept a close eye on me and I couldn't afford to piss her off even more, because each day, I tried to bring Sophia back to life after dinner. So far, without success.

But the suit was eventually finished, while my rabbit was still dead. Once the suit was finished, it got sent to Prince Edward in case it needed some alterations. And if the suit got back with tons of alterations, I knew for sure the man was a senseless jerk. I saw it as a secret blessing in disguise, because that would prepare me for him.

Because the suit was in Chicago, Mother had no choice but to withdraw my punishment for the time being, so I was free again.

I ran outside, for the first time in days and rushed over to my favourite brother in the whole wide world; Jacob. I quickly found him while he practised his sword-fighting techniques. Paul was a much better fighter, but Jacob tried to mimic him as best as he could.

¨Jake!¨ I shouted.

¨Bella?¨

I ran harder towards him. ¨Jake, I´m free!¨

He drew his sword back into its pocket. ¨Free?¨

¨The damned suit is in Chicago, so I´m free,¨ I eagerly explained to him.

¨That's wonderful, princes. How are you going to spend your last few days as a free woman?¨ Jacob teased me, but I knew in my gut that he was right. Once I got married to that brute Edward, I probably couldn't even leave his castle to go outside.

¨Let's go to the city.¨

¨Alright.¨

We walked towards the horses to ride them.

¨Shouldn´t we ask Paul to join us?¨ Jacob asked and I rolled my eyes. Jacob was the better child, you could say. Always looking out for others.

I was not. I was finally free, so no need to ask for my least favourite brother.

We went to the city and the beloved citizens all bowed for us. The children who were playing in the fields all waved and I waved back at them. The smells of freshly baked bread filled my nostrils, the wind blew through my hair and the sunlight warmed my cheeks who hadn't seen sunlight in days. It was wonderful.

We were lucky today, as it normally rained cats and dogs here in Forks. Perhaps, if today would turn out to be my lucky day, perhaps Sophia could come back to life today. My chances were high today.

We stopped in front of a shop and went inside to buy some sweets. It was a little tradition of Jacob and I, and I would miss it tremendously once I got married.

After we left the store with our arms full of sweets to eat by ourselves or take away to our castle, someone ran next to us and nearly tipped us over. I could still save the sweets, otherwise I would be so pissed!

¨Hey,¨ I angrily shouted.

I looked down and noticed that the chocolate covered brownies with sea salt caramel swirls were missing from my hands. The sweets I loved most in this whole wide world. The sweets I wanted to eat after being locked down for days. The sweets I didn't just want, but needed.

As I eyed the stranger in front of us, I saw he was holding a bag full of them.

That son of a… He stole them!

Without thinking, I placed the other sweets on the ground and dashed off after this stranger. He was wearing a scarf around his head and black, baggy clothes. It was not hard to follow him.

You could come for me.

You could come for my brothers.

But you could never come for my brownies.

¨Don´t, Bella!¨ Jacob shouted, but I was blinded with anger.

I chased after this stranger until we were alone in the woods, surrounded by nothing but trees. As I had nothing to defend myself with, other than my immense craving for chocolate, I quickly found out that my plan wasn't as great as I thought it was. If this stranger attacked me, I couldn't defend myself. A chill ran down my spine as I realised my mistake. Hopefully, Jacob came soon after me.

The stranger turned around, and the scarf fell to the ground so I could see its face. I gasped.

¨You?!¨

A/N: A shortie, but I figured this would be a great cliffhanger to end the chapter. Please don´t hate me!
