Cristina adjusted the hem of her dress as she made her way to the front of the hospital. It was one of the few nice ones she had. It was a brown form-fitting dress short enough for a first date. She knew she looked good like Meredith said, she hadn't been out in a while, and she might as well make the most of it.

Her mind was working on overload as she sat in Marcus's car. She didn't know why she agreed to this. Since when did Meredith become such a romantic? Just because she was married to McDreamy didn't mean she was also dreamy or someone who could give dating advice, especially with her history with men.

"Cristina?" Oops, Marcus had said something.

"Hmm? Sorry, my mind was elsewhere."

"Yes, I can tell. I was just asking how you were."

"I'm fine," Cristina responded curtly.

"That's good to hear." The car fell into silence and Cristina's thoughts returned elsewhere and Marcus didn't feel like having a one-sided conversation.

They pulled up in front of a very fancy restaurant and they found their table. They were sitting next to each other when the waiter came up to them and asked if they wanted to pay now or after the meal Marcus said he doesn't have his wallet and told the waiter Cristina would pay after the meal which she was about to comment but stopped herself from exploding.

Marcus had done most of the talking he would occasionally slide his hand up her thigh which led Cristina to feel very uncomfortable. He had also been talking about himself and his past relationships and didn't allow her to order what she wanted instead he ordered for them without asking for her opinion.

It occurred to Cristina these were all major red flags and she wanted to leave as soon as possible. Marcus had ordered them Lobster and pasta salad and she hated seafood but ate anyway since she was hungry.

The food was surprisingly good minus Marcus's side comments. There was one particular comment that bothered Cristina. They were in the middle of the desert when Marcus suddenly spoke, "Are you sure you should be eating that? It looks very unhealthy."

"Excuse me?" Cristina asked in total shock.

"Well you've eaten so much and you've outeaten me you look like you could lose a few pounds."

She stayed silent and excused herself to the bathroom. When she came out she saw Marcus fiddling with something in his hand which appeared to be his wallet. Cristina had enough of him. This date was totally over. As Cristina sat back down Marcus spoke while squeezing her thigh, "You know I was thinking you could spend the night at my place."

Cristina removed his hand from her thigh, "No I will not."

"What do you mean no? No one ever and will never say no to me."

"Well, this girl does and she will not be used and will certainly not be used as a sex toy."

Marcus came closer to her, "Why don't we go pay for the meal, then we could get out of here and discuss this somewhere else."

"You mean I'll pay for the meal?" Cristina asked.

"Well uh yeah I forgot my wallet I thought I brought it but I didn't."

"You're unbelievable," she said as she reached into his coat pocket and pulled out his wallet.

"What's this then?" She asked him.

"Cristina, please calm down. You're exaggerating!" Marcus exclaimed.

"Exaggerating? Do you really think I'm exaggerating you've been trying to seduce me the whole time not to mention you lied about not having your wallet then you go and tell me I'm fat when all you want to do is sleep with me!

"You're embarrassing me and you're making a scene," Marcus harshly whispered.

"I don't give a damn if I'm embarrassing you or I'm causing a scene seriously from making me buy you a drink then making those stupid comments ever since you found out I'm a hotshot doctor you've been using me thinking I have buckets and buckets of money you're a pathetic ass and I hope you rot in hell," She yelled grabbed her glass of wine threw it on him and stormed out the restaurant.

Looking back at it, running off might not have been the best idea she'd ever had especially not driving in her own car. She had spent 10 minutes trying to hail a cab with no luck. she then started making her way home on foot in heels. Not the best combination.

After a few blocks, she found a bench and took her heels off her feet were killing her. She wrapped her long black shawl over herself and leaned back and closed her eyes yelling at Marcus was the highlight of the date she really hoped she embarrassed him enough to teach him a lesson.

She felt good but her feet were throbbing. It was time to call Meredith. She took her phone out and called her twice. "Meredith I will kill you in your sleep if you don't pick up." Cristina dialed again only to get Meredith's voicemail for the third time. "Great just great."

She might as well continue the walk home barefoot. Eventually, a black vehicle stopped by her side and rolled the window down and to Cristina's surprise, it was Dr. Hunt.

"You need a ride?" he asked.

"No, I'm good," she said continuing walking down the block.

Owen slowly guided the rental car next to her, "I'm only offering since you are walking barefoot in a dress at 9 pm at night and someone like you has a high chance of being targeted," he added.

"If that happens, I'll just use the bottom of my heel and shove it up to their ass."

"The offer still stands," he said with a smirk and watched her come to stop in her tracks and turn to him, "Fine I'll go with you now unlock the damn door."

Owen looked at her as she climbed in, saying, "So where exactly am I taking you?"

"Just drive in the direction of the hospital and We'll go from there," she suggested.

He started driving but was distracted by Cristina while almost running a red light.

"Hey watch it! Are you trying to kill me?" She said slightly raising her voice.

"Sorry just distracted."

"Distracted by you," he said to himself.

Owen kept giving her quick glances at any chance he got, "So what were you doing barefoot all across town?"

"How's that wound on your leg?" Cristina asked attempting to change the subject.

"You didn't answer my question." He replied as he fiddled with the airconditioning

"You didn't answer mine."

He sighed, "It got infected when I returned to the sand pit still have a scar but it's all good. Now you answer mine."

"I don't remember your question," she mumbled.

"How come?"

"Because my feet are killing me you try walking 2 miles in 3-inch heels."

"Thanks for the suggestion Dr. Yang do you want to talk about it?" Owen suggested.

"I'm not discussing this with you I don't even know you."

He gave her a quick look, "If you didn't know me then you wouldn't have accepted my offer of me giving you a ride."

"That's because you kept on prying and you wouldn't leave me alone so shut up and drive!" She yelled.

"I wasn't prying I'm just curious why you're out of town."

"I had a thing and it didn't go well," she said.

"A thing?" he asked suspiciously

"Yes, a thing."

"What kind of thing?" he asked.

"If you're going to keep questions I'm going to jump out of this moving car," Cristina snapped at him.

"Fine fine no more questions Would some food make you feel better?" He asked.

"No, I just want to go to sleep and not wake up."

"You shouldn't talk like your suicidal or something," Owen mentioned.

"And what if I am?" Cristina muttered.

That comment made Owen concerned, "Are you?"

She was quiet for a moment, "No just tired and if I was I wouldn't tell you."

The rest of the ride was silent it was already awkward that a guy in a truck finds you barefoot on a sidewalk and offered you a ride and Owen didn't know what to say to her since every little thing he says seems to piss her off.

"So what direction now?" He asked.

"Turn left then follow the road ahead until you get to an apartment complex."

After about 5 minutes he pulled up to her apartment and stopped at the entrance.,

"How long have you lived here?"

"A couple of years," Cristina said. "But I'm moving out soon.

"Oh where?" Owen asked.

"None of your business," she said annoyed.

"Fine have I earned to Cristina you now?"

"Well, not exactly but you did give me a ride so... no," Cristina concluded.

"Alright well goodnight Dr. Yang," Owen said as he drove off.

Cristina unlocked the front door and found Callie and Arizona on the couch watching a movie and didn't say anything instead went into the kitchen and grabbed a beer.

"So how did it go?" Callie asked.

"I'm never going on a date again," Cristina said. "Men are assholes."

"Agreed that's why I gave up on men a long time ago," Callie added.

"It was that bad?" Arizona asked.

"That bad I'm going to need more than a beer," Cristina huffed.

"If you've had enough of men why don't you date a girl?" Callie suggested.

"Oh no, My mother would kill me if I become a lesbian. She's traditional and Christian I would be an even more disappointment to her than I am now," Cristina said.

"Christian?" Callie snickered. "Is that where she got "Cristina from?"

"Haha very funny," Cristina said sarcastically. "But to answer your question yes she did like I said my family is very traditional."

"Wait a minute if you come from a Christian family," Callie said. "And you're Christian does that mean you hate lesbians?"

"Why does everyone say that?" Cristina groaned. "Of Course, I don't."

"Just checking," Callie murmured.

Arizona turned to Cristina, "Why don't you date someone from the hospital like Mark Sloan he's like a... candy bar."

"Is that some kind of sick joke? That man is a man-whore that man is nothing but filthy Callie something is wrong with your girlfriend," Cristina argued.

"Arizona is right you should date someone don't tell me your plan is to die alone," Callie said ignoring Cristina's past comment.

"Yes that's exactly my plan I don't want any relationships you can thank the last guy," Cristina mumbled.

"The last guy?" Arizona asked.

"It's a long story," Callie and Cristina said in unison.

"Ugh but if I'm celibate then that means no sex," Cristina groaned.

"There are other options," Callie said. "One-night stands can unwind you for sure!"

"I am not Meredith who picks up random guys at bars," Cristina said. "Plus Meredith broke a guy's penis once."

"I'm sorry did I hear right?" Arizona said almost choking on her beer.

"It was really funny she had a one-night stand and he came to the hospital with an erection turned out he had a spinal tumor causing the erection," Cristina said. "And that's not all Meredith and Derek were broken up at the time and he was the one who did the surgery."

"How come I've never heard about this before!" Callie laughed.

"I'm only telling you this because I'm pissed off and I need sleep," Cristina complained
