Once entering Gringotts and speaking to one of the goblins, she was led to one of their ritual rooms for her blood adoption appointment.
As the door closed behind her, the goblin turned to her, "Why do you have the Potter Heir with you?"
Esther did her best not to show how nervous she was as she gave the goblin a smile and stuck as close to the truth as possible, "As you know, I don't appear my age… because of this, I have some advantages that my appearance helps me with. I had been living in an orphanage and was adopted by the Dursley family, Petunia Dursley is the biological aunt of Harry Potter and was given to their custody. Well, more like dropped off on their doorstep without their knowledge until the next morning with nothing but a thin blanket and a letter from someone named Dumbledore. They were the worst type of people and had planned on being abusive towards baby Harry, calling him a freak and were prepared to 'beat the freakishness out of him'. The moment they found him, they had shoved him straight into the cupboard under the stairs. While they doted and spoiled their only biological child Dudley… in my opinion, he was also abused to an extent. They overfeed the poor boy to the point of making him resemble a beach ball more than an actual child. The only reason the two are as well-adjusted and healthy is because of me. I had planned on getting them away from the two of them as soon as possible and raise them, the Dursley parents don't deserve to be parents. If you won't help me adopt them even after I paid, just give me a refund and I'll leave with them both. I won't let them go back to those people."
She spat out the last words and hoped it would be enough to convince the goblin. The goblin stared at the two children in the stroller blankly before turning his gaze back to Esther, studying her determined expression for a few moments.
"Did you ever see Albus Dumbledore at any point since the time he was dropped off until now?" The goblin asked.
"No. We never saw him." Esther replied.
The goblin practically growled at her reply before speaking once more, "Dumbledore was Mr. Potter's magical guardian and has obviously neglected his duties if he hadn't even seen the boy since gaining custody of the boy. Very well, you've already paid and it's clear that you would be better suited to care for the children despite the disadvantages your appearance gives you. The blood adoption will proceed and Dumbledore will be removed as Mr. Potter's magical guardian. Depending on the results of the blood adoption, you might need to find a new magical guardian for Mr. Potter and possible Mr. Dursley as well. I hope you know that it's very likely that the mix of the three of yours blood will bring about some… side affects."
"What side affects?" Esther asked with a nervous frown.
"The three of you will be mixing your blood and there's a small chance that the mix of Mr. Potter's blood will allow both you and Mr. Dursley the ability to use magic, even if it's only a small amount. It will also change both the children as well as your own blood, making it so that muggle DNA tests won't show you as Leena Klammer nor the boys as Harry Potter or Dudley Dursley. You will be shown as a relative of your previous self, but nothing more. Any form of blood tracking from the magical world using any of your blood prior to the blood adoption will fail or show you as deceased. It will most likely remove your scars as well as you're reborn in a way during this ritual. Your medical condition might also play a factor into the adoption, but it's currently unknown as we have never had anyone like yourself within the magical world." The goblin told her.
He paused for a few moments to see if she had any further questions. When she didn't say anything, he continued.
"What names will you give yourself and the children?" He asked.
Esther hesitated, thinking about what she wanted their new family to be called and what to name her new sons. The goblin surprisingly waited patiently and she decided to ask him something before she made her decision.
"Is there a way to add two other people's blood into the adoption? Even if they've been dead for 4 years?" She asked softly.
"As long as you have at least a strand of their hair, then yes. It will cost extra, of course."
At his answer, she finally came to a decision and brought out a locket she kept hidden on her person. She gave it to the goblin who opened it to see a few strands of hair before he looked back at Esther.
"I wish to be blood adopted and I'm willing to pay the extra money for it. As for our new family name… I want it to be Albright. I want my new name to be Esther Albright. Does it matter if someone already sharing the same parents already had the name, but is dead?"
The goblin examined her for a few moments before smirking, "No… it doesn't matter. Magic will be on your side during this adoption as those in the Albright family you plan to be using are already dead. This will actually work in your favor in helping you hide even further, especially as you'll have the ritual done to yourself twice so closely together. What will you name the two boys?"
"Harry will be named Erik and Dudley will be called Markus." She told him.
The goblin nodded, "Then let's get started."
