I couldn't sleep. I had to see Uncle. I had to tell him. I put on a dark cloak and walked out. I stop in front of the entrance. Unfortunately, a guard spots me. "Who's there?!" he calls, pointing his spear down towards me. No. I can't go now. Uncle is too mad at me. I'll just come again. The guard returns to his patrol when I leave.

I was the first up so I just headed out. No point in waking everyone. Thankfully, I still had a Wanted poster of the Avatar, so I headed around the kingdom to see if anyone has seen him. One person said that they saw him outside of Ba Sing Se. "That was a while ago! I mean recently!" I tried.

"Sorry, Prince Zuko! I haven't seen him since!" the civilian replied, waving his hands in front of him.

"Ugh, fine. Thanks anyway," I sighed.

"Of course, Prince Zuko!" he said. After a while, I don't know how long, I sat down on a rock, feeling disappointed. I talked to everyone near the palace, which was a lot of people, and none of them have seen the Avatar since Ba Sing Se. I sighed heavily and threw my head into my hands. "I'm never going to find him at this rate. What am I going to do?" Then, Uncle came into my head. That's it! If anyone can help me, it's Uncle! Uncle has helped me so far, so why not now? Oh wait, Uncle is in prison now. He's probably really mad at me. How is this even going to work?! Uncle is never going to forgive me! I need his help, but how do I do it? I pause for a second. I can't ask him for help now! I need to tell him what I did and why I did it! Then I have to work my way towards an apology. I'll just take it nice and slow.

Once again, I return to the prison with the cloak on. The guard, annoyed at my return, points his spear at me. "You again? What do you want?" I just take off my hood. "Prince Zuko. I have some business to do here." I grab the guard's shirt. "Don't tell anyone I was here."

"Y-yes, of course!" the guard said. He moved from the door and let me in. "Uncle," I said to get his attention. He didn't look at me but I could tell he was listening. "You could have returned with me, Uncle. You could have been a hero." Uncle didn't say anything but he shifted. "It was your choice to get trapped here. I returned with Azula and I can enter the palace again. Why didn't you come with us?" He still didn't answer. "Why don't you answer?!" Still nothing. "You're a crazy old man!" I destroyed a nearby chair with fire. "If you weren't in prison, you would be sleeping in the gutter!" I slammed the door behind me as I stormed out. The guard quickly moved.

I can't believe Uncle didn't say anything. I was trying to tell him my reasons but he didn't want to hear it! That man has some nerves ignoring me! Maybe some time with Mai will help me feel better. I have to get my mind off of Uncle. I know just the thing. Mai never told me but she likes sunsets. I've seen her watching them before. Until then, I might as well try again to see if anyone has seen the Avatar.

"You, sir, have you seen the Avatar?" I asked, holding up the poster. He looked really closely at it. Literally. His face was right on it. He moved away and then looked at me. "I saw him on the day of the invasion of Ba Sing Se." I rubbed the bridge of my nose. "Any other time, sir?"

"Nope!" Then he walked away. I sighed. This is going to be extremely hard.

Eventually, I picked up Mai and brought her to a cliff where we could see the sun set clearly. Mai sighs. "I hate the color orange."

"I love how you hate everything," I replied.

We leaned in for a kiss but my sister interrupts us. "Zuzu? May I talk to you?" she asked crossing her arms. I rolled my eyes. "Can't you see we're busy?"

"Mai, Ty Lee got her braid tangled up. She needs your help."

Mai looked at me. "I guess I better help her. I'll be back." She stood and I watched her walk away. Azula smiled at me and walked closer. "I hear you went to visit your uncle?" she asked with suspicion in her voice.

"That guard told you?" I checked.

"No. You did just now," she replied. I huffed. Azula knows how to get into my head. "What do you want?" I asked as she sat down next to me.

She raised her head pridefully. "I don't want anything." She what? Why is she talking to me then? "If people find out you went to visit him then people will think you are plotting something with that traitor. I'm just looking out for you , Dum-Dum."

"You are? Did you hit your head or something?"

"Are you joking?" she asked, giving me a strange look. "I didn't hit my head and I feel just fine! You wanted Father to appreciate you again, right? I'm just trying to help."

"Why are you helping me, Azula?" Something has to be up. She never talks to me like a sister. "I'm your sister, Zuzu. It's what I do." Before I got to ask another question, she stood. "Just be careful, okay?" I watched the sunset again. Something has to be up. Maybe she wants something. But, this time, she seemed sincere. It didn't seem like she wanted anything. It sure was strange though.

I sit there, just staring at the colored sky. My mind keeps racing to the Avatar, where he could be hiding, why Azula was acting like a sister and if Mai was coming back. But it always ends on the same path. Uncle. I guess I should see him again. Try once more. And maybe I'll make him something too.

I return to Uncle's prison cell and demanded that the guard stood watch again. I kneel in front of Uncle's cell. "Uncle, its me again. I brought you some Komodo Chicken. I know you don't like it that much but I'm sure it beat's prison food, right?" He says nothing. His back is still turned towards me, just like before. He must be really devastated. "Yes, I have everything that I could ever want and ask for but, truth is, its not. Uncle, I really need your advice."

He still doesn't reply. He shifted but did nothing. I grabbed the bars. "Uncle, I think the Avatar is still alive. He's out there somewhere. I just know it. I'm losing my mind. I've talked to everyone, searched everywhere, but, I can't find him." Still nothing. He didn't even touch the food I made him. "Please, Uncle! I need your help!"

I pause for a second to see if he changed his mind, but it is as hard as steel. "Forget it!" I stood. "I'll find him myself! You can rot in here for all I care!" I slammed the door on my way out, but not before taking a quick glance at Uncle. If he doesn't want to talk, then that's fine! I just won't talk to him either!

The guard moves quickly as I exit the prison. "Good night, Prince Zuko," he said behind me. I didn't say anything. All I could think about was Uncle. He is really mad at me and I don't know what to say anymore to make it better. I stormed off to the palace again. My mind raced again. Uncle couldn't help. I couldn't do it on my own. The townspeople are no help as none of them have seen him since the war in Ba Sing Se. Something has to be done but what?

I pace back in forth by the castle gates. What can I do? I need to find him. That's when I remember about a bounty hunter. I pace over to a Messenger Hawk post. I have to find that bounty hunter. I give the letter to the hawk who flies off. Then I walk to the alley that I told him to meet me in. I raise my hood so no one can see me. If I need to do this, I need to be secretive about it. No one but me and Uncle know the Avatar is alive. He has an advantage. He can use that. And I bet he knows it.

After about two minutes, the bounty hunter enters the alley way. "You weren't followed where you?" I asked. He's quiet. "I heard about you. They say you are good at what you do, so I need your help. The Avatar is still alive and I need you to find him, and end him."
