Apt 7F
"What's that?" Emmett asked as he sat a cup of coffee in front of me.
"Last of my prep work to record this audiobook."
"For Alice?"
"No, it's one of Jasper's historical novels."
"He bumped Alice?"
I laughed. "I don't know what they do at night inside their bus. Alice's final edits took longer than anticipated so the draft isn't ready."
"Fair enough. Are you flying back to Seattle after July 4th?" Emmett asked.
"Yeah. I have about ten days without any shows, then I'll fly back out here to finish out this Faire."
"I need seven side hustles like you guys."
"If you want help figuring stuff out, let me know." And I meant it too. Emmett was the reason I still performed like this. If I could make it sustainable for him, I would.
"Definitely. Alice scares me when she gets too excited."
"Don't I know it."
Emmett stood from the table and moved towards the bedroom in the back of the RV, ending the conversation. For now, I needed to finish these notes and get to work on recording. Bills needed to be paid and the money Jasper paid for the audio file was a nice boost.
