The palace halls are busy today, getting ready for the war meeting coming up. It's just two days away. I still can't believe Father actually invited me to go. I finally got my honor returned. But, I still feel wrong. Why do I feel this way? What did I do? Is it when I turned on the Avatar and joined Azula instead? Is it because I know that they will plan more takeovers in the meeting? It's all the Firenation has been known for anyway. No, those can't be it. Then what is it?!

I decide to take a walk to clear my head. I remember hearing about a meteor shower that happened last night. Too bad I wasn't awake to see it. "Did you see that meteor shower last night?" a young boy asked. "It was AMAZING!"

"I bet it was! I wasn't awake to see it though," the mother replied. I enter a tea shop. "Welcome, Prince Zuko!" the guy behind the counter said. "What can I help you with today?"

"Just some tea," I said.

"What kind?" he asked, filling a cup with steaming water. I pause. Uncle really likes tea. "Jasmine."

"Great choice!" I watch him put some leaves into the cup. "Here you go, Prince Zuko!" I payed him the coins and sat down on a nearby chair. I sip the tea. It doesn't taste as good as Uncle's. If only I listened to Uncle when he showed me how to make it. Maybe that's why I got the job of waiter. If only I was nicer to Uncle. I bet he is really mad at me now, especially since I yelled at him twice. I did bring him chicken but I still don't know if he ate it.

I feel really bad for yelling at him but now isn't the time to apologize. I should give him a break. If I keep trying, I'll probably make it worse.

Ty Lee and Mai walked into the tea shop. "Oh! Zuko!" Ty Lee exclaimed. "What are you doing in here?"

"I just came to clear my mind."

"What are you thinking about?" Mai asked.

"Nothing important."

"Did you hear about the GIANT meteor that hit last night?" Ty Lee asked, sitting down at the table.

"I already heard about the meteors, Ty Lee."

"No, I mean a REALLY big meteor!" She threw her arms into the air and stretched them out. "They say it is the biggest ever recorded that hit and survived!"

"Ty Lee, quit joking," Mai said, crossing her arms.

"I'm not joking!" Ty Lee huffed.

"Really?" I asked.

"Yeah! Wanna go see it?" She hopped in her chair a little.

"Well, I-"

"Aww! Come on, Zuko! We're friends, right?" I smiled. "I guess I'm not doing anything."

"Great! Follow me!" She grabbed my arm and quickly ran out of the store. She pulled me to the wall to the outside of the kingdom. "See? There it is!" I followed her finger down to big black chunk of rock. "That is a big meteor," I replied.

"Ty Lee, stop joking-" Mai let out a small gasp when she saw it. "See? I'm not kidding! I saw the meteor shower last night-which was very pretty by the way- and I saw this thing fall! It was the brightest one yet so I HAD to see it in person!"

"It really is the biggest meteor I've seen," I said, surprised. I've seen multiple meteor showers before but I have never seen a meteor this big. "I need to go now," I said, looking at the meteor still. "I need to help prepare for the meeting tomorrow."

"Ok! We'll be here when you come back!" Ty Lee waved as I started to leave.

"We won't be here all day though," Mai butted in.

My only job was to set up the map but Father wouldn't let me in the room. So I just gave him the map and left. I had one job but I couldn't do half of it. I guess I haven't regained all of my honor yet. Now that I think about it, I haven't heard from that bounty hunter yet. Maybe he hasn't found the Avatar yet. Maybe the Avatar is really hidden.

All I could think about when I went to bed was Uncle. Why can't I stop thinking about him?! He got what he deserved! It's not like I can do anything to change his mind! I tried what I could do and nothing worked! He wouldn't even look at me!

The next morning, Father called the meeting. I was running a little late since my hair didn't want to cooperate. After what I think was ten minutes, I was out. On the way down the hall, it seemed like a longer walk than usual. Was it because I wasn't really sure what to do? I haven't been invited to one before. What do I say? Do I just put my opinion out there?

I pushed open the large doors to see a few Firenation generals, Azula and Father. "Welcome," Father greeted in a low voice. "Please, sit down" I walked up next to him and sat down. They didn't start without me. I was late but they waited. Why did they wait for me?

"You're late, Zuzu," Azula whispered. I didn't answer. I know I'm late. Azula must be upset that they waited for me.

"The Firenation has grown powerful." Father stood from his throne and walked towards the table with the map. "We have grown far within the last one hundred years. Why should we stop now?"

"Fire Lord Ozai, what are you implying?" a soldier commander asked. Father grinned darkly. "We take the Earth Kingdom."

"Sir, if I may make a suggestion," Shinu asked, politely.

"Of course," Father replied.

"Our army is too thin," he said, standing from the table. "Ba Sing Se is under our control sir, however, Earth Kingdom rebellions prevented us from capturing the rest of the territory."

"Hm, of course." Father looked at me. "Zuko, you have been in the Earth Kingdom. Do you think adding more soldiers will stop the rebellions?"

Is Father really asking me? The room was silent so I guess I should answer instead of thinking to myself. "The people of the Earth Kingdom are proud and strong. As long as they have hope, they can do and overcome anything." I hope Father doesn't decide to do anything too dangerous to their kingdom. It's a nice place. "Ah yes, we need to destroy their hope," Father suggested.

"Well, that's not exactly what I meant-"

"I think we should take their precious hope!" Azula chimed in. "Sozin's Comet is almost here, meaning our Firebending will become more powerful than ever! I think we should burn their precious city to the ground!"

"Hm, yes…" I see Azula's eyes sparkle. ""When the last comet came, my grandfather, Sozin, used the power to completely destroy the Air Nomads. We will use this power to end the Earth Kingdom, permanently." I can't believe Father will do that! Destroy their hope and use the comet's power to obliterate the Earth Kingdom! Father is ruthless! He has no mercy for the poor Earth Kingdom! Why? Why would he do that?

The crowd in the meeting cheered. Apparently they are excited for the conquest of the Earth Kingdom. I, on the other hand, couldn't say a word. I just got my honor back and I will take it away so quickly if I spoke up. I…helped with Father's plan. The Earth Kingdom will be conquered because of me.
