Edward had a specific set of skills, but most didn't translate well to everyday life. Trying a more normal existence included putting down roots. What happens when his interest in the brunette in 7G is stunted by his upbringing? Can he show his intentions are more than just neighborly gestures.

"Ewar, we go to park?" Edie asked as we left my apartment that morning.

When Esme had called me the night before asking me to take my goddaughter when Carlisle got called into the hospital, I jumped at it. She hated staying at the hospital daycare at night, but Christopher had no issues sleeping there.

"Yup. Then we'll meet your Mom for lunch."

"Hi!"

I looked up at Edie's enthusiastic greeting to see Miss 7G walking towards us.

"Hi there," the sweet voice replied with a wave. Her eyes met mine and she smiled. The elevator doors opened and we all climbed in. "You're new to the building?"

"Yeah. Moved in a few weeks ago. But I travel a lot for work. I'm Edward Masen and this is Edie."

"I'm Bella Swan. And that explains why I haven't seen you around yet."

"We going to the park to play circus," Edie told her.

"That sounds like a lot of fun."

The elevator doors opened and Bella stepped out quickly. "Nice meeting you. Have fun playing circus, Edie."
