"So, who's the princess Edie keeps talking about?" Esme asked as we drove to the airport.
"Princess?" I asked, confused.
"From the elevator. She said you live next to a princess."
"Oh, Bella. She's the girl in 7G. And it was the first time we talked."
"Well, Edie was impressed."
"If I'm honest, I wouldn't mind getting to know her better."
"Because?"
"She's hot." I cringed, knowing a slap was coming. "What? She was sweet to Edie, but other than that and how she filled out that dress, I know nothing."
"Well, don't lead with that. I know the traveling makes it hard, but you never know."
"Enough of that. What can I get Edie for her birthday that the good doctor won't kill me for?"
"You act like he's strict."
"He wouldn't let me get her a stuffed dragon," I countered.
"It was seven feet long!"
"Fine, so a smaller dragon?"
"I should be happy you're not trying to buy her a lizard."
I laughed, knowing that was Emmett. "He got one for his fourth birthday."
"And he lost it at least twice in every city. Nothing alive, she's still too young."
"Killjoy."
