Chapter 2 The Newlyweds?

I fluttered my eyes open glancing around the room, unsure of my surroundings. The place was luxurious a penthouse suite. One you see in movies. I glanced around the room unsure of how I got here. My head was pounding from all the alcohol I consumed last night. My clothing was littered on the floor. Memories of my night popped back into my mind. His lips. His eyes. His body. It all came flooding back. Eddie, the handsome stranger who wasn't so much a stranger anymore. I turned to my side seeing his sleeping form. He was much more handsome in the daylight. I could see his features fully. Auburn hair, like ember flames. Scruff was the perfect length. The messiest sexiest hair. A tan that was littered with freckles. He was gorgeous. I still couldn't believe I went home with a total stranger. The situation was hot and thrilling. I never had a one-night stand before but it was again exactly what I needed. My confidence was soaring.

I made my way to the bathroom quietly not to wake him. My hair was wild, thrown in every direction. My makeup was smudged. I was littered with a few hickeys and bites one very prominent on my neck. I looked thoroughly sexed up. I giggled at the sight before turning on the shower to wash the night away. Flashes of our time together danced upon my mind. We barely had spoken when I thought about it. It was mostly physical. The connection was just so intense. His grasp, his touch, his tongue. The sex also had been the best of my life. It was incredible. He knew how to take care of a woman- that was extremely clear.

I sighed thinking of how this brought me a moment of relief. I was happy which was rare these days. I washed my body making sure to scrub the night and the alcohol out of my system. The night was so blurry yet vivid. How did we get back to the room? When did we? As I washed my hair something snagged behind my ear. Reaching down I pulled my left hand to see what the offender was. An extremely large engagement ring sat on my left hand. Shock hit me immediately. Where did this come from? I examined it more- it looked real and very expensive. I shook off the thought of the typical what happens in Vegas stories and finished my shower. I grabbed a robe that hung in the bathroom covering my body. Examining the engagement ring again, I had a weird feeling hit my stomach. Maybe it was Jessica's? I couldn't remember how hers looked.

I walked back into the room and locked eyes with his sleepy form again. I collected my belongings quietly. Debating if I should wake the handsome stranger for another round. As I collected my underwear from the floor I noticed a piece of paper with my name on it. Marriage license. Isabella Marie Swan and Edward Anthony Cullen. The state of Nevada. Married?

"Edward" I gasped. I immediately recognized the name but couldn't place it from where. Married? How did this happen? I tried to recall the ceremony. Nothing came to mind, my head was so cloudy. Just our time on the dance floor and in bed was what I remembered. I glanced again at the engagement ring, how did we get this so quickly? Tears fell from my eyes as the shock set in. I really had messed up this time. Married to a complete stranger! How could I be so stupid?

Suddenly his eyes flickered open and he grinned at me. "Isabella come back to bed"

I stood frozen staring at the stranger in front of me. My husband. A stranger. How did this happen? I was so normally so responsible.

"Bella? What's wrong love" he sat up. I silently handed him the piece of paper and held up the engagement ring. Unable to form the words I was feeling. Confusion set in Edward's eyes. "Married?" He glanced up at me just as alarmed. Unable to form any more words himself. What had happened last night? Both of us could not remember fully.

I sat on the bed with my head in my hands. "I've never had a one-night stand before. Of course, I would end up married." I laughed hysterically. Humoring myself of the ridiculous situation. Annulment suddenly popped into my head. I sighed realizing there was a solution, one I would have come to had I not been massively hungover.

Edward didn't move, his face was puzzled. I had no clue how he was feeling. I glanced away unable to handle the awkward silence.

"Bella, this shouldn't have happened" he finally sighed. "We can get this taken care of- I'm so sorry" his eyes were sad. He glanced back at the paper reading it over again.

A knock on the door alerted us both, it was relentless. Not stopping. Edward slipped out of bed sliding on a pair of pants. I blushed at the sight of his body again, waves of memories hit me yet again. My lady bits tingling. I shook off the thought. Not now, I sighed.

"EDWARD YOU BETTER ANSWER THIS DOOR I KNOW YOU ARE IN THERE" an accent similar to his screamed

My eyes widened, was this his girlfriend or worse the person this ring belonged to? Edward opened the door and a small woman about 5 feet tall rushed in. She was glamorous and elegant- yet she had a rocker edge. She rocked a black short pixie cut.

"Alice, was that really necessary?" His accent became more apparent. I remembered how he was here for a family event. This must be a family member. Internally I was happy I wasn't appearing to be a homewrecker.

"Yes older brother it is, I just got off the phone and learned you got married last night? Are you crazy? What were you thinking? What about Tanya?" Alice exclaimed.

She glanced at me, grinning a friendly smile letting me know she meant no harm. She probably pitied me. Some random girl who got married in Vegas. I'm sure it happened more often than you imagined. My heart dropped again, Tanya? So this ring must have been for someone else.

"How did you know that? It wasn't reported, was it? Alice last night was a blur for us both. We don't exactly remember how it happened" he handed her the piece of paper and held up my ring to show her. My skin felt on fire from his touch. His eyes gazed at me and I swear I saw lust behind them. The connection was again so intense. He slowly let go of my hand and our attention was grabbed by Alice yet again.

"The press is going to release it later today. There's nothing we can do. They won't relent Edward. I tried my best. A prince marrying an American girl in Vegas is too hot of gossip" a prince?!

My eyes lit up confused as I looked between them both. I recognized them fully now Edward and Alice Cullen of Cordova. Edward was next in line for the throne. I married a god damn prince. How the hell did this happen. The room felt blurry as I started to lose my balance. Two hands gripped me as I collapsed on the bed passing out from all the information that was just received.

"Isabella? Bella? Are you okay?"
