This chapter is the depth at which I'll mention the pandemic, because it play into how these characters wound up where they are. But they're living in the after, so you wont be bogged down with it.

"Glad to have you back, man. The last few weekends haven't been the same." Emmett grumbled around a mouthful of food.
"I would have thought you'd be sick of me after the two years we spent living in your RV in Esme's driveway."
"Right. After finally finding our routine, two summers without any performances was crazy, but there's no one I would rather wait out the apocalypse with than you."
"So, any more thoughts on the podcast idea?"
"Still considering it. You've got your own thing going. Won't this just add more stress?"
"I don't think so. We can create our own channel on YouTube and list us both so we get an even split of ad revenue. We'll set it up the same way on other platforms. I figure if we do it weekly it isn't too bad. When we're together, it'll be easy. When we happen to be apart, you can send me video and I'll edit it together. Or we can do it on zoom and record the session."
"Yeah, that would work." Emmett mulled it over.
"Our upbringing was so far from traditional. We have a unique perspective to offer."
Emmett nodded. "Yeah, it'd be cool to just talk about shit, share stories and everything."
"Exactly. And we'll have a list of things to discuss if we want to touch on any current events or not, so we have a roadmap."
"Okay, let's do this."
"Seriously?" I said with a smile.
"Yeah, get us a logo and do all your promo shit so we can hit the ground running."
"Sweet! The Circus Life for We is officially a go."
