"No! No. No. No. No. No." I internally panicked. My package showed as delivered to our secure passage storage lockers, but my code wasn't working to open it.

I went to the main screen and searched but it didn't show anything for my apartment. I was about to scream when the door opened and Edward walked in with a duffle balanced on his rolling suitcase and an antique looking backpack slung over his shoulder.

"Edward! I have a huge favor to ask."

His eyes shot up to mine. "Bella, how can I help?"

"I got a package delivered but my code isn't working. I'm hoping he typed in your apartment as the recipient instead of mine. Can you try your code?"

Edward leaned his bags against the wall and pulled out his phone. A few quick keystrokes and he held it up to the scanner.

I prayed to whatever God protected frozen mice that it worked. When the clicking sound echoed through the empty lobby I ran for the box.

"Thanks, Edward. You're a lifesaver."

"Happy to be of service." He doffed an imaginary hat, then we walked together to the elevator.

We stood there in silence for a few minutes before I spoke up just as the doors opened and we walked inside. "It must suck to travel so much for work."

Edward shrugged. "It is all I've ever known. I actually grew up in the circus."

"Seriously?"

"Yeah. New Moon Circus. Until they closed down about six years ago."

"I used to love the circus."

Edward's phone rang just as the elevator doors opened on the seventh floor. "Sorry, I've got to take this."

"Go ahead. Thanks again for the help."
