"So, did you invite her?" Emmett asked.
"What? We've only spoken a few times, you want me to invite her to the faire?"
"Yeah. Just tell her you're working in town the next few weeks and if she wants to go, you can get her tickets."
"I don't know."
"Edward, you said she seems nice, and you think she's hot, so shoot your shot."
"I'd like to know her a little better before I let her know just how odd my job is."
Emmett shook his head. "You're going to miss out on the chance at something great because you're scared."
I shook my head, but he had me pegged. I was scared she'd think I was a freak and run screaming in the opposite direction.
