I'm thinking of writing some Fox and Chuchi friend fics. Here's the first one, let me know what you think.

Fox lifts his head off his desk and rubs his eyes. He hears a someone knocking on the door, the reason he's awake now, and tells them to come in.

the door opens and Senator Chuchi walks in. she smiles at him, "good Afternoon, Fox."

"Afternoon?" he looks at his computer, 2:14 pm. He sighs, "good afternoon, Senator. Did you need something?"

"actually, I was wondering if you'd like to come with me to the three sisters festival."

he shakes his head, "I don't have time. I've got paperwork that I didn't finish last night, then I need to patrol the prison, then I have..."

she cuts him off, "I already thought about that. I asked the Chancellor if I could take you to the festival as my bodyguard. if you agreed, of course."

he blinks at her. "what did he say?"

she does her best impression of Palpatine, "very well, the poor boy has been needing a break for some time. And this way he won't feel like he's not doing his job." she smiles and speaks normally, "he also said that you can assign someone else to do your rounds until you get back."

he sighs, "when did you want to leave?"

"the festival doesn't start till four. You can catch up on your paperwork until then."

he nods and she leaves with a cheerful wave. He sniffs himself, "I should probably shower first."

they walk onto the festival grounds, three warehouses on top of each other, and he blinks at the excessive lighting and colors of the rides. He watches as several clowns pass by, tossing decorated sticks to each other. His stomach rumbles as the smells remind him that he's forgotten to eat again.

She looks at him and smiles, "you forgot again, didn't you? Alright, we'll eat first, then play some games. Then we'll go on the rides, sound good?"

he nods as she drags him to a booth advertising deep-fried cake. She orders a salad, a smoked numa leg, something called nachos and two iced teas. They sit to eat but he stared at it for a minute.

"what is it?" she asks, sipping her tea.

"I don't feel comfortable eating in front of civilians."

she asks, "why?"

"you know why."

she sighs and pushes the nachos towards him, "they're not going to care, they're here to have fun, just like us."

"yes, Ma'am." he pulls off his helmet and eats, slowly at first then practically inhales it. He stops mid-bite as a little rodian boy stared up at him. He stares back at him self-consciously.

Chuchi smiles down at the boy, "hello, what is it?"

the boy looks between them, "Is he a clone?."

She smiles, "yes, he is, but I think you're making him a little uncomfortable."

"sorry."

the boy's mother comes over and pulls him into a hug. She looks at the two of them and relaxes, "I'm sorry, he doesn't usually run off like this. I'm surprised to see a clone trooper here. Don't get me wrong, I feel safer with you here, but it's just kind of strange."

"it's strange for me too, Ma'am." Fox replies.

Chuchi laughs. She stands up and holds out her hand, "I'm senator Chuchi of Pantora. This is Fox, my bodyguard for the day."

"oh." the lady shakes her hand and bows slightly, making her child squirm, "well then, I hope you two enjoy the festival."

"you as well."

the lady walks off with a smile and Chuchi sits down again, "that wasn't so bad, was it?"

"she's going to tell everyone you're a senator now and then someone's going to try and assassinate you."

she rolls her eyes, "that's why I have you."

he concedes and finishes eating. They wander around playing games, he won most of the shooting games while she tried to win a dart throwing game. After wining a stuffed tooka, Fox looked over at a small human girl pouting against a wall. He checks for threats before leaving Chuchi's side. He walks up to the girl and points next to her, "may I sit here?"

she looks at him and his collection of toys. She nods and he sits.

He waited a few seconds before asking, "how's your day?"

"really bad. Daddy couldn't come because he had to work. I told him I was going to win him something but I stink and I spent my whole allowance."

"is your mom here?"

"yeah." she points at a frazzled looking lady trying to wrangle three boys. "she hasn't even noticed I'm missing."

"can she afford to let you play more games?"

she shakes her head, "no, she got each of us two tickets for rides. We can't even buy any food here."

he nods in understanding then gets an idea, "so you want to win a gift for your dad?"

she nods, sightly curious now.

He pulls off his helmet and scoots away slightly. He pulls out a box of shells and grabs a tiny one and three larger identical ones. He puts one on the tiny one and slides them around. When he stops he waits for her to pick. She won after the forth time and he let her pick from his pile of toys. She takes a stuffed bird and hugs him. She runs off to show her mom.

Fox turns and sees Chuchi standing there. He blinks, "yes, Ma'am?"

she tilts her smiling face, "you'd make a wonderful father."

"if only that were possible Ma'am."

she helps him up and gathers the toys. She holds up a tiny fox in his face, "I won this, isn't it cute?"

he puts his helmet back on, "it has bad stitching."

"I know, but that's not what I asked."

"if you say so, Ma'am."

she swats his arm with it while wearing a fake pout. "look at it, you're practically twins."

"I'm not cross-eyed."

she laughs. "do you think we should go drop these off in my room before we ride anything?"

"good idea."

Orm Free Taa watched as Fox and Chuchi came out of her room. He was gazing at her while she laughed. Taa did not blame the clone commander for being smitten with the young senator, she was quite beautiful. Fox put his helmet on and followed her down the hall. Taa runs up to them, "Senator Chuchi! How are you this fine day?"

"quite well, Fox and I have been spending the day at the Three Sisters Festival. Would you care to join us?"

he waves his hands, "no, no, no, I don't wish to intrude. Besides, I'm a little over the weight limit for some of the rides." Fox let a snort escape but Taa ignores it, "you two go have fun, but not too much."

she nods at him and he wanders away.

They rode six rides before Fox got a message.

She looks up at him, "what is it?"

he grabs her arm and drags her over to an off-duty senate guard. He spins him around and orders, "take the senator to her chambers and stand guard until I relieve you."

the guard frowns before doing as he was ordered. He grumbles under his breath, "of course this had to happen on my day off..."

she waited anxiously in her room for three hours before anybody would tell her anything. Everyone she commed either didn't know or weren't at liberty to say. She tried to busy herself with paperwork but couldn't focus.

Fox walked in and was immediately greeted with a hug. She pulls away and fixes her hair, "would you mind telling me what was going on?"

"A group of radicals were threatening to blow up various facilities." he says as he leans on the arm of her couch.

She tilts her head and smiles at him, "I take it from your behavior that no innocents died?"

"yep. Sorry about having to rush you off."

"it's alright, nothing I'm not used to. I'm just upset that you won't be able to go to the festival tomorrow."

He nods, "yeah, I get one break a year and I just used it. I had a nice time though."

"I did too."

he gets up, "I need to get back to work now."

"I know. Have fun saving the galaxy."

he gives a mock bow, "I thought that was your job."

she giggles as he leaves the room.

Cute, eh?
