It was hard to get to sleep last night since Sokka and Chit Sang were snoring. However, I was woken up by a loud crash of water. I slid it off and fell back asleep. Another crash sounded, except this time it sounded more like a boom. Now I'm awake.

Another landed and at that point, I put it together. We're being bombed! Another one hits, thankfully, missing. Instead, it lands somewhere off the cliff. However, the next bomb hit the temple. The roof began to crumble. Everyone ran out of the way except for Katara, who didn't seem to notice the roof crumbling. "Watch out!" I called to her. She looked up at me but didn't move. "What?" she called back. I ran in and pushed her out of the way. We roll on the floor.

"What are you doing?" Katara asked.

"Keeping rocks from crushing you," I replied.

"Well, I'm not crushed, so you can get off of me now." Katara crawls out from under me and stormed off. "I'll take that as a 'thank you.'" I stood up and walked towards Toph and Haru, keeping the exit clear. "We can get through here!" Toph called. "Hurry! We can't keep it up for long!"

I stopped and looked at the airships nearby. They are Fire Nation airships. Except, I don't think its the palace guards after me. It's not that bounty hunter either. It has to be Azula since Father would come here. "What are you doing?" Aang's voice asked behind me, breaking my thoughts.

"I think it's a family visit. I'll hold them off, you go on ahead."

"Are you sure, Zuko?" Aang asked.

"Yeah, go on. I'll be fine." Before Aang got to stop me, I ran off. He's the Avatar. He'll do what he can to help people. Except, this is my business. The Avatar can't help with that. I run towards the airships. Azula has to be here. She can't get Aang. If she does, it's game over. I have to do what I can to help the Avatar. It's my destiny.

A bomb explodes in front of me, clouding my vision. I walk through the smoke. Once I get a good view of the airships, I blast fire. The airship took the fire and it seemed unharmed. Azula rises from the top of it and smiles at me. "What are you doing here, Azula?" I asked.

"You mean it's not obvious, Zuzu?" she asked, putting her hand on her hip. "I'm about to become an only child. I have to celebrate!" She kicked a beam of fire at me. I dodged it and hid behind a pillar. She isn't serious. She's toying with me.

I come out from behind the pillar and blast more fire at her. They all miss. She takes the chance to shoot more fire. The ground under me began to collapse. I jump onto safer ground, dodging Azula's fire. She kicks more fire at me. The ground breaks more. This time, I couldn't jump off. Thankfully, I land on a nearby airship at a lower level.

The ship rises, behind Azula's. "Ah, so I see you lived, Zuzu," she laughed. She shook her head. "Why don't you just give up already, brother? There's not point in trying. Your father wants you dead, Uncle isn't here to see you and..." she crossed her arms, "I'm going to win! There is nothing you can do about it!"

"Even if I do die, Azula, it would've been for a good cause!" I replied.

"Hm," Azula said, her smile fading. "I don't think so, Zuzu." I jumped onto her airship. In retaliation, she sent columns of fire towards me. I deflected them all with my own fire. "You're strong, brother," Azula said, "but not strong enough!" She charged at me, with a flaming fist. I blocked hers with my own. The blast caused us both to fly off the airship.

Aapa flies closer to me. I reach my hand out. Katara grabbed it and pulled me on his saddle. Azula continued to fall. She recovers and uses her Firebending to float towards a large branch in the side of the temple. "Aapa, yip yip!" Aang called. Aapa flew faster.

"Were you trying to kill us?" Katara asked.

"No, I-"

"Your fire was hitting us!"

"Katara, calm down," Aang said.

"We had our rock barrier," Toph said. "We are just fine."

"Some of them missed the barrier!" Katara said.

"Look, Katara, I wasn't trying to hit you-"

"Is that what you said before? Is that what happened when you were chasing us across the world? 'You weren't trying to hit us?' Is that your form of apology?"

"Katara, calm down," Sokka said. "We didn't get hit, we're fine."

"You're over exaggerating," Aang said. "Just take it easy!"

"I will not take it easy!" Katara cried. "As long as he's here, I will not calm down! He tried to kill you, Aang! How can you guys forgive him so easily?"

"Katara..." I said.

"Katara, please!" Aang said. "Just...calm down. He hasn't hurt anyone since he's gotten here."

"Except for my feet," Toph said.

"Toph, come on, please," Aang said.

"I mean, I forgave him!" Toph said. "But I just wanted to remind you."

"Toph, it was accidental. It's gone now."

"Yeah, yeah."

Katara said nothing. She still doesn't trust me. She has a hard shell. I broke through everyone's already. Why is her's so hard to get through? We didn't talk for the rest of the ride. The tension from before still lingered.

We landed in a nearby forest. "This should do!" Aang said, jumping off Aapa. Katara said nothing as she walked off. She is still mad at me. She didn't even look at me.

Later at night, Aang hands out drinks to everyone. "Camping. Sure does feel like old times," he said, trying to lift the mood.

"If you really want it to feel like old times, I could chase you around for a while and try to capture you," I said. The group started laughing. Everyone, but Katara. "Ha, ha, very funny," she said. Sokka ignored her and raised his cup. "To Zuko! Who knew that after all those times sniffing us out, he'd be our hero today?"

They all held up their cups. "To Zuko!" Katara was the only one who didn't. In fact, she was making me nervous, staring me down. Aang nudged me. "Way to go, Zuko."

"I'm touched," I said. "I don't deserve this."

"Yeah, no kidding," Katara said. She put her cup down and walked away. "What's up with her?" Sokka asked.

"I wish I knew,"I replied. She seems more upset than usual. Is she mad that I protected Aang? I followed Katara, who walked away from the campsite, next to some big rocks. If Katara is mad at me, there has to be something. Maybe I can make it up to her? But, I can't if she won't tell me.

Katara is sitting on the cliff now. Katara sees me and stands up to walk away. "This isn't fair, Katara!" I said. She stopped walking but isn't looking at me. "Everyone else trusts me! Why won't you?"

"Oh? Everyone trusts you now?" Katara asked, throwing her arms in the air. "I was the first to trust you! Remember back in Ba Sing Se? Before you betrayed all of us? Yeah, I trusted you then. Why would I trust you now after what you did?"

So, she did trust me? I thought she felt sorry for me. I thought she was pitying me because of my father. I closed my eyes. Of course she trusted me then. I had to join Azula. But, why won't she trust me now? "What can I do to make it up to you?" I asked. There has to be a way. There's always a way to undo things. Uncle told me that so, it has to be true.

Katara finally turned around. She stormed towards me. "You really want to know?" she asked, raising her voice. "Maybe you could recapture Ba Sing Se in the name of the Earth King, since, oh I don't know, you took it from him! Or, I know! You could bring my mother back!" She turned around, bumping me with her arm.
