"No."

Jason pouted. It wasn't fair. The Stolls send him on an acid trip to hell and got a hug in return. Will being his pushy healer self was apparently fine too as he invited him to their movie night. And well Percy, Percy could literally commit murder and all Nico would do is offer to dispose of the body. So how come Jason was the only one who had to suffer through his wrath? Not fair.

"Why?" One word, three letters, and nothing but trouble. Nico kept quiet and Jason could tell he was as tired of the conversation as he was, and while Jason agreed that he may or may have not acted like a giant ding wad yesterday, he would not budge on this. "Please." The proud member of the twelfth legion filled the air with words terrified of silence. "I am sure Will wouldn't mind - "

"Enough."

The glare on Nico's face seemed permanently fixed. Jason wasn't used to be the one it was directed at.

Nico rose and the candy wrappers surrounding them rustled heavily. For a moment Jason's gaze wandered over his nimble frame before it haltered on the other's neck. It was covered by dark curls tho he knew what lay beneath, had seen it earlier. Jason couldn't quite explain but it bothered him. It bothered him that there was no trace left of the mark he'd made. By all means, he should be relieved it was gone, instead, it felt weird.

Nico walked to the nightstand and neatly placed the tall stack of video games back. Jason had borrowed Leo's entire collection, bringing them over as peace offering obviously. Whereas Percy got the questionable honor to pick this week's movie, it was his right to choose the next game which he very subtle transmitted to the son of Hades. Making amends wasn't difficult. That was how he ended up in cabin 13 in the first place - also apparently he owed Leo now.

"I don't get it!" Jason continued to dig his own grave. He'd always been a pushover when pretty brown eyes were involved but a line had to be drawn. So far Nico declined every help healing his injuries and it was driving Jason nuts. He was clearly in pain. Just looking at his arms made the other demigod flinch. But he wouldn't listen, not even to Percy. He was close to call in the cavalry. Surly Hazel could knock some sense into him. "Just take the freaking ambrosia! What's the - "

The light flickered. Without another word Nico left.

Juno's champ stared after him. "Great." He fell back on the mattress, glaring at the ceiling. A strange mix of anger, frustration, and guilt wared inside his chest. He sunk deeper into the soft sheets, letting his foul mood fester. Like who sleeps in black satin anyway. Jason felt the drop in his stomach as butterflies creep in. His ears turn pink. Nico does, it shot through his mind. He was laying in Nico's bed and suddenly his pulse wouldn't stop racing. What the heck?

The son of Jupiter turned his head. Next to him sat innocent the latest Mario Kart game. He was so gonna die.
