(A/N: Set after March of the Oni, and mostly because I'm happy that the new sets and Ninja suits for 2022 have been released and the shorts are for a miniseries called Ninjago: Core. It also introduces an original vehicle for Geoff)
Even with Sand Sight and learning how to fight with only using ears, hands and nose, Geoff still had a lot to learn about being blind.
"Are you sure we should be doing this?" Kai asked as he and Jay were in the kitchen, about to serve dinner that Gewuji had cooked. Blake's plate was the only one without mashed potatoes.
"Come on, he's blind, he won't know." Jay replied, getting out a bottle of tabasco.
"I hope you're right." Kai turns to the doorway to act as a lookout while Jay opened the bottle and pours a few drops into Geoff's plate of mashed potatoes.
"Okay, it's on." Jay closes the lid before putting the tabasco back in his pocket.
"Kai, Jay, are you coming with the plates, or should I help?" Blake asked as he came out to them and grabs the plate with bigger portions, meant for Cirrus.
"Yeah, may as well." Kai replied.
And so, they carried the plates out to everyone, with Blake handing Cirrus hers, resulting in some kisses to his neck from her, earning feign gagging from Kai. While the three left to grab the rest of the plates, Geoff starts to sniff something before moving close to smell the mashed potatoes. Rather than going up to complain about it, Geoff stood up to switch his plate for Jay's, confusing some of them before Kai, Jay and Blake came back with the plates for Cole, Nya and Maggie before they sat down to start eating. However, when Jay puts a spoonful of mashed potatoes in his mouth, he started to hold his mouth in a little before screaming in pain from the tabasco laced potatoes and immediately ran out of the room to get some water. Everyone looked on in concern as Geoff stood up and came over to Kai. "I may be blind, but I can smell the tabasco." He said before striking Kai at the back of his head.
The following morning, after Jay had apologised for trying to make him have the tabasco coated mashed potatoes, Geoff was at Borg Industries, guided by Maggie, as they follow Blake and P.I.X.A.L. "We're just winterising it, but it'll be complete." P.I.X.A.L. said as they enter the elevator, and it goes up.
Stopping a few floors above, Geoff, Maggie, Blake and P.I.X.A.L. exit the elevator before coming across a viewing window, where some techs were working on a yellow van with six wheels with a few different coloured parts. Blake and P.I.X.A.L. smile as Maggie was surprised by it before Geoff took off his sash to activate his Sand Sight and looked at its shape. "Very intriguing." He said.
"The S/B N Guider." Blake replied. "Sand/Blind Ninja Guider. Complete with many accessories, including radar for guidance, hazard settings to warn you of oncoming obstacles, and, from Jay's suggestion as another apology, a guar gum cannon."
"Guar gum?" Maggie asked, confused.
"In case you come across any criminals, and the gum will hold them in place."
"I guess it's brilliant." Geoff replied, about to deactivate his Sand Sight.
"Wait, you should hear the gum test now." P.I.X.A.L. said, pointing towards a tech sitting on a mounted a cannon while in front of a dummy.
They all turn to the tech as he raised the cannon towards the dummy before pressing the button. Guar gum soon shot out of the barrel, only to pass by the dummy, and hits a nearby tech, sending him flying to a wall, and sticks to it. "Damn." Blake said as he heads towards the door to the lab.
"Accuracy is gonna need a bit of work."
"Hey, it's still brilliant, Pix." Geoff said, deactivating his Sand Sight and puts the sash back on. "Now, if you'll excuse us, we have cake taste testing to go to before Cole ends up eating all the samples, and they ban him from the bakery." They start to walk away.
"You know, maybe we shouldn't go for cake." Maggie replied as they reach the elevator. "We can go for something else, that'll make Cole disappointed that he will only have one slice."
Geoff presses the 'Down' button. "What do you have in mind?"
"Maybe... tarts, or... a cheesecake."
"Raspberry and lemon cheesecake?"
Maggie chuckles. "Your favourite flavour and my favourite flavour combined?"
"Lets also try to get them in like spirals, and I don't think Cole can eat cheesecake much."
"And I bet he's gonna be like, 'What's a wedding without cake? Why are they serving cheesecake?'"
Geoff chuckles as the elevator door opens, and they head inside. "You're not just a pretty face."
"I know." They move close to press their lips as Geoff presses the 'Close' button and Maggie presses the 'Ground Floor' button, and the elevator started to go down.
