Secondly, I've said before, my writing is not that good. But I'm trying to write as fast as I can with as much improvement I can make as I go along. In fact, this is one of my much better written chapters.

Quick Recap: In the last chapter Nala with Jack and Skye investigate Priderock Inc. where we were introduced to a powerful lion, named Scar, and his entourage of hyenas joining the game. Shere Khan devised a plan to help him gain total power over Zootopia.

WARNING
This chapter deals with scenes of strong violence and some sexual references. It is attended for strong and mature readers.

Recruitment:

Nick drives through the night. Shere Khan, Bagheera, and Vicky sit in the back of the limo car. Nick glances back at all three of them through the rear view mirror. Shere Khan tells that they would be going to a secretive place tonight, in Zootopia. To Nick, secretive means nothing good. It was supposedly in Savanna Central close to the Rainforest District.

Nick drives, with Shere Khan's guidance. They arrive at a grim looking place with other limo cars vacating the lot. All having a driver sitting behind the drivers wheel.

"Do you want me to stay in the car?" Nick asks.

"No, Nicholas. I believe this is something you will want to witness," said Shere Khan. "Though you will have to leave your firearm in the car. The mammals that come to these events can tend to be a bit short tempered, so who knows what they will do. Which is why they remove any and all weapons upon entering."

Nick didn't find a problem with leaving his weapon behind. He hates carrying around the thing, feeling like a disaster waiting to happen. Much prefer his tranq gun he used while in the ZPD, less likely for some mammal to accidentally get shot and die. He opens the glove box and tosses the revolver in.

"That goes for the rest of you, weapons stay. That includes you, my sweet vixen."

Vicky puts on a fake pouty face and runs her finger from her eye to her cheek like a teardrop. She complies and leaves her revolver, knife, and katana in the limo car.

"You don't have to remind me Shera. I've, we've, both been here more than enough times. I had hoped we were done with this place."

"Bagheera," Shere Khan says in a reassuring voice. "Everything will be fine." He places a hand on Bagheera shoulder giving him comfort.

"I wish I had your level of optimism brother, because for me it's nerve racking to watch."

Leaving their weapons and exiting out of the car, they make their way the lot to what seems like a simple dive bar. Nick hears loud music and rowdy drunken customers inside. The upper class of Zooptopia would have no business at a place like this. Not a place he imagines Shere Khan to be at. Not himself directly at least. He would make one of his goon soldiers come to places like this.

They did not head for the front door. No, they head down the alley and to the back of the bar. One can imagine how horrid and filthy the alley appears. Trash lie everywhere, and it smells horrible. A staircase that descends downward to a basement level, where two elephants gather.

"Mr. Tyson, good to see you here," said Shere Khan, addressing the larger elephant first. "And you must be junior?" he said to the smaller elephant.

Nick recognizes the elephant. Russel Tyson, an enormous elephant in a black suit and one of the crime bosses in Zootopia. Remembering a case him and Judy following up on when he still work in the ZPD. Having a wrap sheet as long as Shere Khans, but consider to be more of an old school crime boss like mister Big. He would threaten witnesses, having small business pay for protection money, importing illegal goods into the city and a lot more. Judy never had enough proof to arrest him on. So, he always got away.

His son, Russel Jr. being a bit smaller than his father, wearing the same getup. Though, Russel Jr's tusk were covered with tribal markings that are carved and inked black into his tusk.

"Why Shere Khan," said Tyson. "It has been awhile since our last interaction."

"Yes, and I hope in that time you have come to accept the deal that I offered to you."

"And I'll say it again, Mr. Khan. Ten percent to move your cargo is too high of a risk to take."

"I'm willing to go up to twelve percent for you, but no more."

"I won't do it for no less than twenty percent. But I'm not here to discuss business with you. I'm here because we have a steak in tonight's Arena match."

"That's right" said Russell Jr, wanting to sound tough and mature. "We have the best two fighters in the Pit tonight. A lean mean timber wolf and a bad ass hippo. They haven't lost a match yet."

"Clearly, if they're still alive and breathing," said Shere Khan with a chuckle.

"The best two fighters I tell ya," said Junior, still trying to be big in front of Shere Khan.

"Well, lets hope they don't get in the ring with my fighter," comes a voice atop the staircase. All turn to see a lion with a black mane, a spiffy cane in one hand, and an eye patch over his left eye gleaming down at them. He descends the steps with an entourage of three hyenas behind him. His cane making a loud tap sound as he walks down.

"Ah, Scar," said Shere Khan. "Another wonderful surprise. And you have a fighter in the Pit as well?"

"Have you come to see him fight? He's a special breed of ram. They're born as savage fighters with horns that grow all the way around and out ward like spikes, and they always know to take the high ground. Do you have your own fighter, tonight?"

"I suppose you could say I have high steaks in the Arena tonight. But since we are all here we must talk business."

"I agree, Mr. Khan," said Scar. "But perhaps it can wait till after the fight."

"I would love to, if you plan on staying that long. But why don't we make tonight more interesting? You both have fighters in the Arena tonight, so let's strike a bargain. If either of your fighters wins tonight's match I raise the percentage of the profits you make to thirty percent, under my brothers supervision of course."

Scar and Tyson share a glance. Thirty percent is too grand of a deal to pass up. Bagheera wanting to protest but bites his tongue.

"If they lose you'll agree upon on settling with only eight percent profit."

The lion and elephant share another glance with each other.

"Why Mr. Khan, I do believe you have a bet," said Scar.

"Yes, with a thirty percent profit we will gladly move your cargo," said Tyson.

"Splendid," said Shere Khan. He crosses his arms and shakes hands with the lion and the elephant's trunk. He tightened his grip to show how serious he is about such a deal. Finally, letting go of Scar's hand and Tyson's trunk. Scar massages his hand from such a tight grip.

"And who is your fighter tonight?" Said Scar.

"Why, you're looking at him," said Shere Khan. A small uproar of laughter comes from Scar, Tyson, and Junior. "If we are done having our fun out here, let us proceed inside."

Shere Khan raises his massive fist to knock on the iron door. It only takes one knock with his ginormous fist. A slot in the door slides open and pair of eyes stare down at them.

"Password?" Said the staring eyes.

"Crixus," said Shere Khan.

The slot slides close. There's a second of silence and then the sound of metal bolts being unlocked. The door opens and standing in the doorway, holding the door open, a rhino wearing a white button up, black pants, and red bow tie. His sleeves rolled up past his elbows. In his hands, one of those small metal detectors. It reminds Nick of the metal detectors they used on him in the Jungle, to make sure he didn't have any dangerous hidden objects.

The rhino first had Shere Khan hold out his arms and spread his legs. Nick, a little surprised at him for following such orders. Not being the type of mammal that takes orders from anyone, more like giving the orders. But he complies. The rhino runs the detector across his body, when it reaches Shere Khan's hands the detector beeps loudly.

"Implants in the hands, Can't help it."

Rhino waves him as all clear to enter. Next being Bagheera, Vicky, and himself. They all are searched and prove to be clean to come on through. All four of them make their way inside where things become a lot brighter than Nick would have imagined.

Nick turns back, Tyson and Junior make it pass their screening. Scar, however, had to have his cane taken away. He grunts in annoyance but complies.

Inside, they walk up to an old rickety looking desk. A Squirrel sits on top of the desk counting money and running to a chalk board to place bets. Glancing up to meet Shere Khan looking down at him. He becomes a bit spooked at his presence.

"M-M-Mr. Khan," said the squirrel. "Wasn't expecting you tonight. Have you come to inspect our operations? Or are you betting on a fight tonight?"

"Actually, I'll be participating in the Arena tonight," he said.

"You wish to participate?" Said the squirrel, taken back by this.

"I know I'm a late entry, but I'm sure you can make an exception?"

"Yes of course. You can head down stairs to get ready, and I'll make sure the crowd knows you are on and can bet if they like." The squirrel takes note of the entourage behind Shere Khan. "Are any of them participating as well?"

"No. Just me."

"Will they be sitting in the bleachers or would they like to take advantage of our deluxe seating?"

"They will be at the deluxe seating and give whatever spirit they choose to drink tonight." Shere Khan reaches into his jacket and pulls a stack of neatly folded bills. Nick couldn't quite see, but looking like he pays the squirrel eight-hundred dollars. Shere Khan turns towards the two foxes and panther.

"Find a spot where you can watch, and don't be afraid to mingle." Shere Khan clamps the back of Bageera's neck and puts his forehead against Bagheera's, giving him reassurance that everything would be alright. He departures, taking the stairway leading downward.

"Will any of you be placing a bet? You can place your bets here or once you're inside the Arena."

Bagheera shakes his head no, but Vicky pulls out a wad of cash. She points to the bills then to Shere Khan who was almost out of sight. The squirrel, understanding her unspoken language, takes the money.

When it became Nick's turn, he only pads his pockets as if he had forgotten his wallet and gives a shrug. He only likes to gamble on things that are a sure bet. He would use his cunning fox skills to sway the bets in his favor. Such as using loaded dice or having a card hid up his sleeve.

Those were the old days, he's become a much better mammal now. With help from Judy and becoming the first fox to graduate from the Police Academy. Even being under cover, he tries to remember that reformed vision of himself and hold on.

Walking through the red curtain, it was like they entered a whole new world. They walk into a wide underground area. The stairs leading down lead to a bunch of bleachers which already have crowds of by standards yelling out bets and waiting for the event to start. The bleachers were packed with every type of mammal. Like going to a mini Gazelle concert.

The level that they were at went in a circle all the way around the Arena. But their section having a bit of class, with tables to order drinks, an excellent view of the Arena, and an open bar to accommodate. A few mammals already occupy the tables that went around the Arena. He was surprised at how well the upper class dressed for such an event. It being their way of separating themselves from the common mammal, like the ones occupying the bleachers.

The Arena its self was darkly lit, expect for several spotlights shining down on what was basically a pit.

Nick had heard of this place before, growing up. It was well-known in the poor district of Zootopia, where mammals bet on brutal underground fighting, some of the time leading to death. Nick remembers being a young Todd trying to sneak out to witness such fights, but he got caught climbing out his window by his mom. Since then, Nick thought of the place only as a made up story. But looking around now, he's glad his mom stopped him from witnessing this.

Nick gets a clear view at the Pit. From top to bottom, the Pit is a grotesque sight. The ground being solid concrete that slants down from all sides, just enough towards a storm drain. One doesn't have to be a genius to understand that this is to make cleaning up the blood and carnage easier. The Pit its self is in the shape of a hexagon with concrete walls for each side. In the corners of the hexagon are polls that had spikes that stick out, pointing toward the center. A steel iron cage going straight up to the ceiling, surrounds the Pit. Attached to the cage, were various weapons that a fighter can use during the fight.

The trick is to climb the cage to retrieve a weapon. The higher the fighter would climb, better chance at a better weapon. On the lower level having brass paws, heavy chains, lead pipes. Quick and easy stuff to grab and fight with. If the fighter goes any higher they can retrieve a spear, sword, or ax like weapon. And if the fighter makes it all the way up they can grab a chainsaw as the ultimate weapon to use. But Nick has high doubts any fighter is going to climb all the way to the top for a chainsaw. It's best to go for the easy weapons and try to win the fight quickly.

"Bagheera, Vicky, Nick," hearing their names be called out. They turn to find Sabor wearing his spiffy suit and his tightly fit sunglasses around his head, even though they are inside. "Fancy meeting you all here. Where's Mr. Khan?"

"He will actually be participating in tonight's events." said Bagheera.

"You don't say. Well then I'm really glad to have made it out to tonight's fight. Say, I usually take a seat in the bleachers but if you don't mind I'd love to join you tonight?"

"Of course Sabor. There will always be room at the table for you."

They move along to their seats which were at a round table with high chairs. Nick sits in the middle. Bagheera sits on the right side and Vicky moves her seat close to Nick on his left. Sabor takes the last seat to Vicky's left. From their point they have a clear view of the Arena and the Pit were the action would be. A doe in a skimpy outfit approaches them with a serving tray under her arms.

"What can I get you lovely mammals tonight?" She asks.

Before Nick could answer her, Bagheera answers for them.

"We'll take a bottle of Rolling Hedgehog, black label, for the whole table."

"Now you are speaking my language, Bagheera," said Sabor. "And do you take bets for tonight's fight?"

"Yes, sir. I can place a bet for you if you wish."

Sabor digs inside his suit pocket and pulls out a wad of cash in a money clip. He holds it out for the doe to take.

"Here. Be a dear and take this. There should be more than five hundred dollars in there. I want to place it all on the late entry fighter. A mister Shere Khan."

"Very well. I'll place your bet and be back with a bottle for the table."

Nick couldn't help but look in awe at the entire Arena. The Pit, the crowds in the bleachers, and all the high class mammals sitting at the deluxe seats. Tyson and his son junior sit at a table on the far right. From the looks of it they had ordered champagne for their table. Scar and his hyenas take a table to the left. They were being served wine.

Nick takes note of all the other privilege high-society mammals that sit at the tables and order drinks to be brought to them. He couldn't believe this is what the deprave wealthy did with their time. Looking down at the bleachers, he couldn't believe this is what the deprave lower class did with their time as well, and so many at that.

Nick feels something stroke his leg. Looking down, Vicky has taken the initiative of stroking the inside of Nick's thigh in a very sexual manner. He looks at the smiling vixen and back down at her hand. Nick tries to politely remove her hand, but Vicky clamps down on his leg with her claws. The more he tries pushing the hand away, the more the claws dig in.

Fine! He thinks. She can have that leg for the night. Looking down at Vicky's lap, Nick could see her performing the same thing to Sabor. Only Sabor returns the favor and starts stroking the inside of Vicky's thigh. Vicky smiles with glee as she strokes Nick and Sabor's thighs.

"Here you are hon," the doe said. She places the bottle of Rolling Hedgehog black label in the center of the table and a glass for each of them. Bagheera did not wait. He grabs the bottle of whiskey and pours himself a large drink. He fills his cup almost to the rim of the glass. He starts sipping it down as fast as he can. Nick pours little shot to sip on for himself. Sabor pours a drink for him and Vicky to share.

Down in the Pit, a wild hog enters the ring and a microphone lowers down to him. It was about to start. Grabbing the microphone, he clears his throat and speaks.

"Ladies and gentle-mammals, if I may have your attention please." The entire crowd settles down. "There has been a change in tonight's fight. We were to present to you three different fights tonight, but instead you will be viewing only one fight tonight." An uproar of boos comes from the massive crowd. Some throwing whatever they can get their hands on, most being beer bottles that shatter once hitting the hexagon cage.

"Because tonight, we have a returning champion to the Arena, a mister Shere Khan." Shere Khan enters the inescapable gorish Pit from the only entrance and takes center stage, right beside the hog. No longer wearing his fancy suit, but wearing boxer shorts and nothing else. He smiles and raises his hands in like a victory pose, and his tail sways left to right. Shere Khan was obviously enjoying this.

"Facing off against four other fighters. That's right folks, tonight will be a four to one fight."

"Goddamn it Shera," Bagheera mumbles under his breath. He starts taking gulps of whiskey and once done continues to refill his glass.

"The large begal tiger will be facing off against Turk, the gigantic hippo." A massive hippo enters into the Pit, raising up his arms in victory and the crowd cheers. Tyson and Junior give loud blows from their trunks.

"Floyd, the mean lean timber wolf." A lean and muscular timber wolf enters.

"Ace, the ram." A mighty ram, his fur being yellow and his horns growing around his head and outward like spikes on each side of his goat shape head. Scar stands clapping loudly at his entrance.

"And lastly, Zelda, the fierce zebra in tonight's fight." Nick didn't know who the zebra might be fighting for, but she looks just as fierce as the other three.

The crowd gives another uproar of excitement. The names and the odds of each fighter are put on the board. Mammals rush from their seats to place their bets. Many probably betting against Shere Khan.

"May the best fighter win." The microphone lifts upward and the hog exits the Pit, closing, and locking the entrance. Shere Khan stops in the center, while the other four mammals surround him.

Bagheera looks like a mess. Drinking as much whiskey as he can without being sick. Rubbing his face and closing his eyes to the fight that was about to start. A bell blasts loudly in the Arena, and the match finally starts.

For the first few seconds nothing happens. They simply surround and circle Shere Khan like a school of sharks. The zebra is the first to make a move. She runs forward with a punch. He avoids the punch and pushes the zebra away. The wolf, ram, and even the hippo climb the wall for a weapon. The zebra spins around with a high kick. Again, Shere Khan sees the attack coming and easily avoids it.

The massive hippo grabs a heavy chain bundle from the cage walls. The hippo slings the heavy chain left and right hoping to hit the tiger, but Shere Khan makes quick steps and dodges the swinging chain. Sparks would ignite when making contact with the concrete ground. The zebra starts climbing the wall, hoping for that certain weapon to help her win the fight. The wolf hops down with a hatchet, charging from behind and swinging. The ram comes down with a machete and charges from the other side. Shere Khan quickly evades them with a dodge roll.

Nick could see what Shere Khan was doing. He was playing with them. He hasn't once struck at any of the mammals or popped out his metal claws. Evading them as much as he can, giving them a chance to try to beat him.

Shere Khan notices the zebra climbing the cage wall to grab a wooden baseball bat wrapped with barbed wire. A bat Finnick would probably be envious of.

They all have weapons now. Time he shows them his weapon. With a low growl he pops out his metal claws.

The hippo swings the chain. This time instead of avoiding it, he catches it and lets the chain wrap around his hand. With a fierce jerk, he catches the hippo off balance and tumbling forward. Shere Khan charges and punches the hippo in the face with his chain wrapped hand.

The ram comes in from the side, swinging the machete. Shere Khan would block it with his claws. Every time the blade makes contact with the claws, sparks would fly. He gives the ram a mighty kick to the chest sending him flying backward.

The wolf attacks from behind, managing to slash at Shere Khan's back and shoulder and giving a roar of pain. Moving in fast he wraps his arms around the timber wolf, lifting him up, and tossing him. The wolf hits the wall hard and falls to the ground in a loud collapse, dropping his hatchet.

The ram makes a hard clash using his horns, making the tiger fall to the concrete flooring. He bleeds out of a wound on his chest from where the ram's spiked horns cut him.

This would be the best opportunity any mammal would get in beating Shere Khan, while he's down. Nick, knowing how ruthless a mammal Shere Khan is, made him secretly root for his competitors to take out Shere Khan and be done with this nightmare he finds himself living in.

The ram kicks at the tiger as hard as he can. After the second or third kick, Shere Khan rolls to the side and gets back on his feet with lightning speed. The ram charges again with his head down and horns poking out. Shere Khan being ready for him this time. He uses both hands to grab on to the ram's horns and pushes back. They were at a pushing match with each other putting them at a stand still.

The zebra runs in to get a shot with the baseball bat. She charges him with the bat overhead and swings, hitting Shere Khan hard in the back. The hit being so powerful, the wooden bat shatters after slamming into the tiger's back like lighting striking a tree. It almost makes Shere Khan lose his grip on the ram's horns. Any lesser mammal would be out for the count.

Nick takes his eyes off the Pit to look at Bagheera whose hands were shaking as he gulps down his drink and silently praying. Nick could see the fear in his eyes. An uproar from the crowd makes him turn back to the action.

Finally, Shere Khan grabs the spiky part of the ram's horn and with all his strength breaks it off and plunges it into the ram's side. This throws the ram off balance. Allowing Shere Khan to get in close, grabbing him by the throat, rushing him backward, and with a loud tiger roar lifts the ram up and impales him on one of the spikes on the pole joints. Cheers of excitement erupt from the crowd.

That's one down, three to go. Nick takes note over at Scar's table, who slams his fist down hard in anger.

The zebra gets back into the fight, first by wildly swinging the wooden baseball bat at Shere Khan's head before dropping the broken weapon and starts climbing for a new one to fight with. Shere Khan watches as the zebra climbs higher and higher.

From his left side, the timber wolf tackles him. Pinning him down the wolf delivers right and left punches to his face. Tyson and Junior give loud cheering blows with their trunks. The wolf continues to punch. One punch makes Shere Khan turn his head and spits a good amount of blood from his mouth. The timber wolf goes to strike with his right fist, but this time he catches the fist and squeezes as hard as he can. The wolf starts to cry out in pain as his fist is squeezed and twist. He slashes at the wolf's chest and delivers a back hand slap to the face, which throws the wolf off of him.

The ground rumbles as the hippo comes charging in to stomp on his face. He quickly dodges the hippo's crushing feet and continues to roll until feeling safe to try to get up again. Nick could see Shere Khan starting to get tired.

A low growing cheer comes from the crowd as they point at the top of the cage. The zebra has managed to make it to the top and retrieves the chainsaw. She slides down and lands towards the center of the Pit. Facing Shere Khan, she ramps up the chainsaw blade. The blade makes a loud buzz buzz buzz sound. She slashes the buzzing blade at him.

Shere Khan dodges the blade and waits for his chance. The zebra swings the blade too wide of an arch, opening her self up to an attack. He saw his chance and leaps forward swiping his claws across the Zebra's eyes, blinding her. With no sight, the zebra flings the chainsaw wildly, hitting the wall and chipping pieces of concrete off.

Shere Khan turns around only to meet the hippo, wrapping his huge arms around him. The hippo has him in a tight grasp, lifting him up and squeezing the life out of him. Tyson and Junior give out another two loud cheers from their trunks.

Shere Khan keeps his body as straight as possible as the hippo crushes him. He couldn't free his claws and swipe at the hippo. Instead, with a loud roar, he bites down hard into the hippo's thick neck. The hippo yells in pain as Shere Khan rips a huge chunk on flesh from the hippo's neck, which sprays his face with blood. The hippo lets go of him in attempt to stop his neck from bleeding. He spits the chunk of flesh onto the concrete floor.

The wolf charges with an attack that Shere Khan easily sees coming. The wolf, having his hatchet back in his hands, swings and misses. Shere Khan grabs the wolf's hand and gives it a hard twist, hearing the cartilage and bone make loud popping sounds as they break. He jumps up and lands his left foot on the side of the timber wolf's leg. The wolf's leg was no match for three hundred pounds of muscle, making the bone break at the sound of a loud snap and becoming crooked. He tosses the wolf to the ground.

Shere Khan takes the hatchet and walks over to the hippo on his knees, still trying to stop the bleeding from his neck. Raising the hatchet, he swings the hatchet down hard, landing the blade right between the hippos eyes, causing a bloody Y to stain the air. The crowd roars in delight. The hippo topples over dead with the hatchet still buried deep into his skull.

The last main threat being the zebra whose sight had been taken away from her, still slashing the chainsaw in every direction. Shere Khan simply walks up to the zebra and plunges his claws into her throat. The zebra gives one loud cough of blood before going stiff. Choking on her own blood, the crowd goes into an uproar of excitement.

The only mammal still alive is the timber wolf on the ground, broken. The wolf tries crawling away and giving the signal that he surrenders the match, but Shere Khan is right on top of him. He slowly puts his arms around the wolf's neck. The only thing the wolf could do is try to slap Shere Khan away and beg for mercy. Which he does.

"Kill! Kill! Kill!" the crowd cries. They all stomp in beat to "Kill! Kill! Kill!"

Knowing that the wolf being Tyson's fighter, Shere Khan looks up at the elephant who expressed a look of outrage on his face. With one quick twist the wolfs neck snaps! The crowd roars, cheers, and stomps their feet to the chanting beat of "Shere Khan! Shere Khan! Shere Khan!"

Shere Khan never diverts his eyes away from Tyson. Tyson slams his trunk down on to the table and gets up in an outrage. Like the good son he tries to be, Junior gets up and follows his father. Scar and his hyenas also leave in a huff. The crowd continues to roar in Shere Khan's name.

"Shere Khan! Shere Khan! Shere Khan!"

Shere Khan, covered in sweat and blood, and surrounded by four dead corpses. He pushes the fur on his head back. He looks up at the animals in the bleachers and smiles, his teeth stain red with blood.

"Are you not entertained?!" he roars at the crowd. They all cheer loudly back.

"Your grand champion asks you pack animals, are you not entertained! What else would I expect from the low lives of the city?" The crowd quiets down once hearing the insult Shere Khan threw at them.

"That's right! Pack animals! Molty vultures! Low lives! Scum! The filth of the city! Is that not what you all have become? Is that not why you all flock here? To see the demise of some mammal that is somehow lower than you. To just for a moment in your pathetic lives to feel all so powerful, deciding what mammal lives or dies!" Shere Khan paces back and forth in the circle, feeling fired up and getting every mammals' attention.

"And don't think I've forgotten about you up there!" He points to the mammals sitting in the deluxe area of the Arena.

"You that sit at your fancy tables with your fancy drinks! You're no better than the rest of these pack animals! Your given the opportunity and yet you choose to wallow in the filth because you don't know how to achieve everything you want. Zootopia is the city where you can be anything you want to be, and yet, this city has decided to make you all into trash! Well, I'm telling you, 'no more!' You want to be anything you want to be, then let me help you! Let me show you how to crawl up from the gutters and take what is rightfully yours! Follow me, and I'll make sure that you are everything you want to be and more! Follow me to a new dawn for this city! Follow me to greatness!"

The whole Arena sits silently. Then one mammal stands up and cheers.

"Shere Khan!" The spectator cries out. Another mammal stands and shouts, "Shere Khan!" Soon the whole Arena stand to their feet, blood-lust in their voice, chanting in unison. "Shere Khan! Shere Khan! Shere Khan!"

All around the Arena the crowds roar. The patrons with in the more privilege area of the Arena get up and leave, but surprise to find a few staying, enjoying, and clapping to the show Shere Khan is putting on.

Bagheera, along with Vicky and Sabor, finally has a smile on his face as he sips down more of his whiskey. Vicky being so excited didn't even realize she was digging her claws into Nick's inner thigh.

Nick looks around at the crowds cheering Shere Khan's name. The realization of what Nick is witnessing happening is all too frightening.

He has an army now, Nick thinks to himself. He has an army.

Shere Khan runs his hand across his face, wiping away some blood and sweat. He pushes the fur on top his head back. Looking up at the blinding spot lights, he closes his eyes and smiles as the whole Arena cries out his name.

(AN: Thank you for reading, and Thank you for reading this. Again, YOU'RE AWESOME! And I want to thank you for taking time out of your busy day to read this fanfic. There's a million and one things you could be doing and you decide to take the time to read this. So, I hope you enjoyed this new chapter.

i really enjoyed writing this chapter and hope that it was easy to convey to you, the reader. I like showing how strong and powerful Shere Khan is. This chapter was originally called "The Arena" but thought that was too predictable. So, I thought Recruitment added some mystery to the chapter.

In the next installment: After the fight, Nick is taken to another dark secret place in Zootopia and his love for Judy is strongly tested.

As I said before, please leave a commit telling me what you think. Thank you!
