Chapter 15 Sunset

While Gabi and Falco are rushing outside to look for help, Reiner is lying on the bed with Colt and Galliard by his side. Galliard says, "Before my Titan was taken, I saw my brother's memories. He fooled the military to make your lousy ass a Warrior - to protect me."

Colt says, "Porco, what are you-"

"There's no denying it now. I was always better than you." Porco smirks before turning a frown. "But what's even the point in that? Our home is going to be destroyed..."

While Eren and the Yeagerists are heading back to Capital Mitras, Armin, Jean, and Connie are at Shiganshina. "Eren opposed Zeke, who wanted to castrate us with his euthanization plan. He opposed preserving the Founding Titan by sacrificing Historia. Basically, Eren... he's sacrificing humanity outside the walls to protect us. 'Cuz there's only one group that benefits from mass genocide - us."

"But still... I still think he's gone too far. How would they know that the Rumbling won't create more conflict?" Armin says.

Connie then says, "I'm going back to Ragako. If what Sasha said was true, my Mom was back to being a normal human before we set out to Marley that day. I'm going to visit her."

Then Connie leaves the two of them, and Jean says, "I'm leaving as well. Commander Pyxis and the others are gone, right now the Yeagerists are the only military functioning. I'm going to help them maintain the order."

"Jean..." Armin says as he also sees Jean leaving, Armin frowns as he decides to go find Eren and Mikasa once again, but just as he is about to leave, he finds Falco and Gabi.

"You two..." Armin asks in surprise.

"Believe us! We don't want any more trouble." Gabi says. "Does everyone off the island really have to die?! They shouldn't have to! Can you ask Eren Yeager why he can't just destroy all the military bases? Seeing how he manages to take the Titan powers away, I don't see why not!"

Armin frowns as he says, "Eren didn't want to do the Rumbling as well, but all of the hatred the world causes him, and how the world refuses to negotiate with us because we're devils that need to die, he has been pushing to the edge. Even if he just destroy the military bases, as long as there are people who still hate us, the conflict won't end, the bases can be rebuilt, and the same thing would happen once again. To him, the only way to make sure the hatred is gone is by eliminating all the people outside of the world."

"But what about children and innocents?" Falco asks.

"Hizuru has already sent some airships to bring those children to either Hizuru or here for their safety." Armin says. "Even if you kill Eren right now, the Rumbling won't stop. The only way to stop is to destroy the Colossal Titans that are moving forward. Honestly, I'm so tired that I could sleep like a log for two days. But right now, I've gotta do what I can."

This causes Gabi and Falco to be delighted.

Back at the capitals, Hitch and the others are saving the innocents who are crushed under the rubbles caused by the walls crumbling down. Eren and the others are there as Eren is using his medical skills to heal some people.

"It...it's your fault...! My house..." An Elderly woman tries to spat at him, but Eren doesn't seem to be fazed, he can only say, "I am sorry... The least I can do is let me heal your injuries. The house can be built again..."

"It's a small sacrifice to pay!" "His son was killed! The wall falling killed lots of people!" "No, it's Eren Yeager who killed them!" "That's right. Eren Yeager killed his own people. But if he hadn't woken the Wall Titans, the world would come to slaughter us all!" "Yeah! The Eldian Empire will survive by their sacrifice!" "Victory is ours!" "You can't win without a sacrifice, but it was worth it!"

Eren finishes healing the elderly woman, and which Hitch takes over, he walks to the angry mob and says, "Enough. Are you the one whose children were killed by the falling rubble?"

The man flinches as Eren says, "I am really sorry about your loss. Shiganshina is under Marley's attack, we didn't have time to wait for the people near the walls to leave."

"Eren..." Mikasa is by Eren's side as she can only frown. And the man who loses his children is also speechless as he doesn't know what to say when Eren Yeager himself is apologizing to him.

"Eren, it's time to go." Floch says while walking towards him.

Eren nods and then they are leaving, but before they can leave, Eren is grabbed by someone, which startles the others.

"Eren!" Mikasa tries to rush at him, but the voice yells, "Don't move! I'll cut his throat."

Eren's eyes glow as he gets out of the situation. He says, "Good grief, so you're finally going to wake yourself up, Annie Leonhart?"

"You bastard... how dare you..." Annie yells as she tries to use her ring, but Eren says, "I won't do it if I were you, you are not a Titan anymore."

Gloria asks, "So what are we going to do with her?"

"Call Hitch and tell her to bring Annie to Reiner and the others." Eren says, and one of the soldiers rushes to do what Eren wants. Annie tries to use combat on Eren, but Eren manages to grab her fist before tossing her to the ground, causing her pain.

"You kill a lot of our people just because you want to return to your father. You still have a father to return to, but I don't have my mother to return to because you Warriors break Wall Maria and you lead the Titans to devour her!" Eren yells at her. "If you want to blame me for this, think about what you've done first before blaming me for everything."

Then he throws Annie to the ground while leaving, then they are going to the Reiss Farm, where Historia is waiting for them.

On the other side, Pieck and Magath are now alone, and Pieck says, "Judging by their course and speed, those airships are heading back to Marley. They probably saw the rumbling and left the rest of us for dead."

"No, it's the right call. They'll be able to inform our motherland faster. It's better than wanting to get crushed." Magath says.

"But... at this rate, there's nothing we can do. I don't have a Titan with me anymore. Is there any possible way to stop it now?" Pieck asks.

"No... But either way, we'll fight to the bitter end -"

"Um...!" They turn to see Hange approaching, she raises her hands up and says, "Hold on! I'm completely unarmed."

Magath is already pointing his gun at him, and Hange says, "Oh, you mean the one over there? Don't worry, he's just a harmless fellow who refuses to die."

(Flashback)

Hange finishes doing the stitches and bandages on Levi's face, and now she's holding her head with a frown. "What to do now? It's not like we can stop Zeke with just the two of us. Guess we can only leave it to Armin or Commander Pyxis now... Even if Eren betrayed Zeke, the Yeagerists will still rule the island with the spinal fluid. And we'll be on the run on this island for the rest of our life. Perhaps it's simply our turn. Even though we think we're doing the right thing... Once the time changes, we'll find ourselves in the cells. Maybe we should just live here together. What do you think, Levi?"

Just then, Eren's speech happens, and both of them also hear everything. "That was... it can't be... Eren's destroying the whole world?"

Levi slowly gets up and says, "That Beast piece of shit... Where is he?"

"You should lie down!" Hange tries to hold Levi. "Zeke headed to Shiganshina together with the Yeagerists. Half a day passed since then. Just what happened?"

"I screwed up. I failed... to notice his resolve to die for this cause." Levi says. "I let him get away again."

"I'm sure you want to get your revenge. But now-" "If we just... run away and keep on hiding, what will we have left?"

"Oh, so you heard me talking to myself." Hange says.

"What are you making?" Levi asks while pointing at the small carriage. "Are you planning to carry me with that by horse? I know you're not the type who can stay still outside of the action."

"Yeah, you're right. I can't."

(Flashback Ends)

"My goal is to kill Zeke. Our interests align." Levi says. "Theo Magath. Pieck Finger."

After a stare-down, Magath says, "Levi Ackermann. I've heard your skill rivaled even that of the Nine Titans. But look at you now. How do you intend to dodge my bullet?"

"I can't dodge any bullet." Levi says. "But I've presented myself in this miserable state to my enemy. Will you shoot, or will you listen? It's up to you."

After a while, then Magath asks, "Then let me ask you before you shoot. What if we've already dealt with Zeke and now he's dead? The Founder doesn't need royal blood like him to use its powers. So right now our interests aren't aligned. Will you try to kill us? Or will you try to talk?"

"Zeke... is dead?" Hange and Levi are shocked, Pieck says, "Professor Hange, right? It seems like you know more about the Titans. Even more so than Marley. Have you seen this Founding Titan for yourself? As you can see, I used to be the Cart Titan, but now I don't have the powers. Eren Yeager also changes our blood so we also won't be Eldians who will turn into Titans anymore. Nobody can devour him and use his powers, and even if we kill him, the Rumbling won't stop, so what will you do?"

"I know the Colossal Titans seem impossible to beat, which is why we need to do this together. Let's combine our forces."

Eren is now holding the baby daughter in his arms now that he's back in Reiss farm, tears are coming from his eyes. Historia says, "Eren... this is Ymir... our child..."

"I know... I can tell, the moment we did the Rumbling, her soul is finally free and now she's born." Eren says while hugging the child. "You are free, Ymir..."

He asks if Mikasa wants to hug the newborn infant, and Mikasa nods as she also hugs the princess. Historia asks, "So what is your next course of action, Eren?"

"Commander Hange will be trying to gather the former Levi Squad to help them stop the Rumbling." Eren says. "I am not going to stop them, however, the current military and the government is a mess because of Zeke and Yelena sending the wines with spinal fluid to the officers, and they were killed off by Marley using Anti-Titan cannons and also the aftermath of Rumbling. The true royal families will be the current council, and we will make our Yeager faction official since they are the only ones who are capable of fighting."

"I see. As the Queen, I'll help you out with it." Then Mikasa gives the infant back to Eren, and Eren decides to walk outside.

"Eren..." Mikasa says while Eren turns to Mikasa, "Mikasa, after seeing Princess Ymir, do you also want to have a child like her?"

Mikasa flinches a little and lowers her head, "I... I don't know... I'm still worried about Armin and the others..."

"I see..." Eren frowns. "It will be a miracle if they are able to destroy all of the Wall Titans that are marching towards the other nations. I know I ask you a lot of times, are you going to join them to stop the Rumbling? Or are you going to stay here, helping Historia and me with the papers that we need to deal with?"

"I already said that I'm going to help you and Historia." Mikasa says, "Because you're still my family..."

"I'm glad to hear that..." Eren says, then they decide to head back into the house for some rest.

Here is a new chapter, and as you can see, the Rumbling is going on, and Ymir is finally born. Commander Hange is also joining forces with Magath and the others to stop the Rumbling, so what will happen next? And as usual. This is a full Rumbling story, if you don't like it, just don't read it.
