(A/N: This one-shot is sort of for a future story, involving a crossover between Ninjago and an alternate universe with Sonic the Hedgehog. Also, regarding a previous chapter in a story, my grandmother is fine)

Upon entering the cafeteria, Fern noticed Sally talking to a Mobian cow, who hands her a bowl of ice cream. The cow had a black kimono on. "It's the best I can do, Empress." She said as Sally takes it while lowering her head. "I hope you like it."

"Even if it's not great, you tried your best." Sally replied before placing a hand on her shoulder. "I'm sure Moo and Bertha would be proud of you."

The cow raised her head, smiling a little. "Thank you." She soon walked away.

Fern was about to head over to the coffee machine when Sally noticed him. "Oh, Fern, what brings you here?"

"Kelsie wanted some coffee, and some of the fighters had been giving her the dirty eye." He said, coming up to the machine.

"So, you became her errand boy?"

"I'm always her errand boy, since I managed to convince the council to let me watch over her."

"Well, good thing you're here. I was wondering if you can help me taste test a little something."

Fern noticed what she had in her hand and was surprised. "Ice cream?"

"Yes. You know what it is?"

Fern scoffs a bit. "Ninjago had ice cream as well. I haven't had ice cream for 4 years, with all the travelling I did. It'd be nice to have some again." He presses a button on the machine.

"How about you like some now?"

"I suppose it couldn't hurt while I wait for the coffee machine to start up." Fern heads over to Sally before sitting down at the table she was in front of as she grabs a nearby spoon and hands it to him. He takes the spoon before getting a scoop of ice cream and simply raised it. "To potential freedom." Sally smiles at his small toast before Fern puts the spoon in his mouth to try the ice cream before bringing the spoon out and swallowed the ice cream. He was soon surprised by the taste. "Mmm. Wow, really great!"

"Like it? It came from Milk."

"I know it comes from milk. But who made it?"

"Milk."

"I know it's made of milk."

"Oh, you don't realise it at all. Perhaps I should explain. The milk used to make the ice cream came from one of our cooks. A cow. Her name literally is Milk."

"Milk?" Sally nods. "As in, Milk the Cow?" Sally nods again. "I feel sorry for her."

"She gets milk jokes and puns from most of our fighters all the time. No big deal."

"Still..."

"Not to mention they're giving her a hard time for not producing enough milk for drinking."

"Is she... the only cow here?"

Sally then sat down, frowning while grabbing a nearby spoon to get the last of the ice cream in the bowl. "There were two more. Her older sisters, Moo and Bertha. All three of them lived in Mobotropolis when Milk was only 10 at the time the war began. Her sisters were killed when Knothole was raided months ago." She puts the ice cream in her mouth and takes the spoon out while swallowing it. "Since then, Milk had to be the only cow to produce milk for the Freedom Fighters. We're still trying to search for more cows so that she doesn't have to do it alone.l she takes the bowl while getting up and takes it to the bench. "Like you, only a handful of us, including Sonic, Tails, Antoine, Bunnie and myself felt sorry for her as well. She really misses them."

Fern soon stood up himself, went to over to the bench, turns to rest his back at the edge and turned to Sally. "My father once told me that even though a loved one is gone, they're still here, in spirit, memory, blood and a treasured possession. My treasured possession was my mother's engagement ring he smuggled in my backpack."

"Then, I guess, my treasured possession to remember my father... was the necklace he had given me when on my birthday, 5 years ago. Your father must be a very wise man."

"He was also my master in Spinjitzu." He soon sighed. "I was Milk's age when I had to leave my hometown, to protect him, my cousin and my friends from future potential harm. I still miss them."

"Do you think, you'll be able to see them again?"

He turns to the table and looked in its reflection to see the scar by his left eye. "Not in the way I left."

(A/N: That's it. Anything beyond that, I'm still working on while still working on Ninjago stories. But, feel free to make any theories, which may help in the story)
