Chapter 17 The Alliance gathering Part 2

"You are right about the Azumabito not wanting to help you." The Alliance tenses up as they see Gloria, who is sitting on a Titan Crystal-made pillar. "You..." Jean mutters.

"Gloria Tybur." Magath says. "To think someone from the Tybur family would betray Marley and join forces with Eren Yeager..."

"That's because they are a bunch of cowards who hide behind the honorary Marleyan title and traitors who refuses to help the Eldians. I am different, and that's why I decide to help my friend Eren Yeager."

"So what the hell are you doing here? Here to mock us?" Connie asks with slight anger.

"Maybe, just to warn you that all your attempts of stopping the Rumbling are futile. And why would Hizuru wants to help you when we of the Royal Government of Eldia have promised that the Rumbling won't affect their homeland?"

While the guns are pointing at her, she says, "Oh, and just so you know, I'm the current War Hammer Titan, if you think those things will be able to kill me then you're wrong."

She takes out a small war hammer and throws it in front of Magath and the Marley warriors, Armin asks, "But how? She's not in her Titan..."

"A true Royal Nine can use the power of the Titan without the need of transforming into one. You guys are not royals, so that's why you wouldn't be able to do it. Not that it matters to you since the power of the nine has returned to the real families." Gloria says. "You might see me as harmless, but I still can create weapons out of thin air using the Titan powers. And since I'm nice, so I'll tell you everything about Yelena. She is actually a Marleyan, the reason why she disguises herself as an Eldian is that we made a mutual agreement, we exchanged our blood so I would be able to disguise myself as a Marleyan."

Pieck says, "Yeah, we've also dived into her past, she was born into a perfectly normal Marleyan family, but she pretended to be from a small nation annexed by Marley. It was right after she met Zeke. After becoming disillusioned by Marley, she crafted a story. A miraculous fairy tale of how you and the prince saves the world. She tried to solidify the lie into an indelible part of human history. I was actually impressed by the depth of her desire."

"As for all of you, to save the world? Are there any words sweeter and more alluring than this? You gave yourselves to the sublimely exciting idea that you will save hundreds of millions of lives and gulped it all down as if to wash away all the hatred you felt in the past. That's how all of you look in my eyes just now. No, not just me, Eren, Historia, Sasha, and perhaps the Eldia Restorationists that Eren used his power to turn them back. And from what they told me, I learned some interesting things about you guys."

Her first target is Reiner. "Reiner Braun. Who knows how many Eldians lost their life because you breached the wall that day along with Annie and Bertolt. The ones who were killed included Eren Yeager's mother, all Eren wanted is to know what is outside of the walls, the fact that you did this is the actual reason why Eren vows to kill everyone outside of the wall."

She turns to Annie and says, "Annie Leonhart. I've heard you've killed quite a lot of the Survey Corps members, including a large number of residents in the Stohess District. And those included the Levi Squad, with whom Eren was starting to become friends. But, your actions were the reason why people in Paradis learned about the Colossal Titans in the walls and how the Rumbling can be activated."

She turns to Armin and the others, "And of course, the same goes for the soldiers of Paradis. You're usually a very sensible and decent person, so I've never thought I'd see you raze a military port so mercilessly. Armin. Your military accomplishments should be relative to the mountain of corpses you left behind, including the civilians'. If you don't know, we were there this whole time when you raided Liberio. We were bringing the volunteers' family to our ship so they would be spared by the Rumbling or by the Marley Government for helping us."

She continues, "Also, Jean, you valiantly hurled a Thunder Spear at that little boy Falco to defeat the Cart. And Gabi, the girl over there, shot one of our brave Yeagerists who is willing to die for Sasha's living to death. The girl was dedicated to our future, it pained us to watch her death like that. For all of you who think of her as a family since your training corps days...your sadness and hatred easily dwarf mine. However, instead of blaming the real killer, you all tend to blame Eren for it and even try to take his powers away. You said that Eren is the one who trampled the outside world, all of you forget that the ones who trampled are the wall titans. Eren was just the key to open the door of doom, if it wasn't for you guys to attack his home, Shiganshina, a few days ago."

This causes everyone to be silent, and Jean eats the stew and says, "This stew is delicious, Hange. Can I have more?"

"Yeah, there's plenty more." Hange says.

After taking the bottle, he says, "Thanks, Gloria. You were trying to air out all our grudges out so we can get our minds straight, weren't you? I'd say it's very considerate of you."

"Don't get the wrong idea. And I almost forgot, what was it again? The name of that good friend of yours that Eren, Sasha, and Historia told me about... Marco Bodt, isn't it?"

This causes Jean to tense up. "I heard that Annie was involved in his death, I wonder if you asked about it yet? The truth behind his death?"

Annie lowers her head and says, "I took off Marco's Vertical Maneuver Gear. That's why a Titan ate-"

"Annie was only following my order." Reiner says. "Marco overheard the secret conversation I had with Bertolt. In fear of our cover being blown... I thought the best way to silence him was to have a Titan kill him. I slammed Marco into a roof while in the air. And while I hold him down so he can't move, I had Annie take his Vertical Maneuver Gear from him. Marco then stuck there until a Titan came up and ate him."

Jean asks, "Did Marco say anything at the very end?"

"He said, We haven't even had a chance to talk this through."

"Yeah. He's right. We haven't been trying to talk this over! That's why we've been fighting each other to death like this, isn't it?" Jean asks.

"It's still not too late. We've been at each other's throats all this time. But at the very least, we're now talking without trying to kill each other. Who could've imagined this? That we'd be all eating around a fire like this."

Gloria says, "The only reason you're talking to each other right now is that the circumstances are beyond desperate. If Eren didn't activate the Rumbling, did you think you'll be talking to each other right now? It is not just that, if all the nations are willing to hear us out for the negotiations of peace, we could've just abandoned the Rumbling. Eren could just make the Wall Titans disappear out of thin air, Rumbling won't be a problem for the whole world. Instead, they decided to want war thanks to my uncle's speech."

Then she says, "By the way, I also heard this from Eren himself, he said that when Armin wanted to talk with Bertolt, do you know what his response is? He said that if he's willing to talk, will you agree to die after it? And after that, he just transforms and kills all of the members of Commander Hange's squad, what's the name of the one that tried to protect her? Oh right, it's Moblit, right?"

Hange tenses up as she remembers the scene. Gloria decides to turn around and says, "Activating the Rumbling is a decision made by not only Eren himself, but the Queen, Sasha, Floch, and all of the people on the island that has been living in the fear of the world trying to attack us for so long. So I would rather you guys not blame our king himself only."

Just as she is about to leave, Jean asks, "Hey, wait, where are you going?"

Gloria says, "Where? I'm heading back to my living place, after all, all of the power of the nine is a part of the government now. But I will say it again, Eren won't stop the Rumbling even if you kill him right here right now. He would rather not have his daughter live in a world with the constant fear of being attacked, and besides, you already have a lot of Flying boats and weapons that counter the Rumbling, why should this be a big problem for you? The only problem would be those selfish government people who would abandon the innocents by escaping it on their own. If you're asking for Hizuru's flying boats, I have to apologize that they were already left the island to save the chosen children from outside the island."

"Chosen children? What do you mean by that?" Hange asks.

"You can just ask your fellow scout members about that, I'm tired of explaining. Good night to all of you." Then she just left without saying anything.

Once she's gone, Reiner decides to continue talking, "As I watched the Titan eating Marco... I wondered why Marco is being eaten."

"Eh?" "Then I flew into a rage and killed that Titan. Claiming it was for Marco -"

"That's enough!" Jean says. "You're saying the guilt messed with your head, right?"

"Don't forgive me. I really am just helpless -" "I said enough!"

"I'm sorry." Just then, Jean punches Reiner and he continues to do it time after time, forgetting that Reiner doesn't even have the Titan power. "Don't do it, Jean!" Armin and Connie are trying to stop him, but Jean yells, "Let go of me!"

Just as Jean is about to punch Reiner again, Gabi takes the hit instead. "Gabi!" Colt, Falco, and Porco are worried as Gabi says, "I'm sorry... We... our wish... was to slaughter all of you... on Paradis. We wanted the world to accept us, to forgive us. That's why we kept hoping for the devils on the island to go away. And now, my mom, my dad... and everyone on Liberio will be gone because of it. I'm sorry. I know it's very impudent of me to ask this... But we need your help! Please! Lend us your strength!"

Jean just stares at them first before he turns around and leaves. Connie asks, "Where are you going, Jean?"

"Jean? What about your seconds?!" Hange asks.

"It's not working..." Gabi says while tears are coming out from her eyes, and Magath also frowns after seeing them.

"You guys are so loud." Levi mutters.

Here is a new chapter, since Yelena is already dead, I decide to let Gloria be the one talking to them about the whole thing of Marco. And I hope you like this chapter.
