(A/N: This one-shot takes place not long after Aspheera's Revenge Chapter 3)
The disastrous training got Geoff and Maggie thinking as they were heading to the hospital in Maggie's car for her broken ankle, having twisted it while enduring poundings from Dragon's new pet chicken. "We need to start being active again." Maggie said.
"I agree." Geoff replied as he was at the wheel. "It was our own fault you're suffering a bad ankle."
"I second that. I'm just worried about what dad would say when he hears about this. Might even say it's Master Wu's fault."
"Blame Master Wu?" Geoff scoffs. "No way."
"This is all Wu's fault!" Those were the words Dr. Hall said the moment he saw his daughter's ankle while in the waiting room having arrived a few minutes later. "He got a chicken and had it attack you all?!"
"No, dad." Maggie replied. "It's because we were so lazy that he had us fight him to prove we weren't."
"That doesn't mean seeking an animal on you."
"Robert, we're all at fault." Geoff said, hoping to break the family debate. "I'm sure Master Wu didn't mean it. So, we're gonna go in, have her ankle checked, and depending on the result, not blame Dragon, okay?"
Dr. Hall pouts in anger. "Fine."
Eventually, Dr. Hall was able to examine Maggie's ankle and discovered it was a sprain before eventually sending her home with some bandages, a boot and crutches as well as some medication to ease any pain she would get. Dr. Hall even wrote an angry letter for them to give to Dragon the moment they got back to the monastery to see their fellow teammates on the ground, bruised and battered from the chicken's attack. Inside his room, Dragon was looking at the letter with Maggie in the room while Geoff was outside, deciding to train with the chicken, as well as secretly get even at it. Once he finished reading, Dragon sighed as he placed the letter down. "Your father is right." He said. "It is my fault."
"No, Master Wu." Maggie replied. "I'm at fault. I got lazy, soft, careless. Like it or not, I am still a Ninja, no matter what he says. Hell, I'd just fight on one leg if I must."
Dragon started to stroke his beard a little before becoming wide eyed. "Fighting on one leg, you say? You just gave me an idea. It won't involve the chicken. And, I'm still sorry about the leg."
"No matter how many times you apologise about this, I forgive you. Now, when do I start?"
Later that day, with Geoff having been bashed about by the chicken and went to join the others, Dragon faces Maggie as she had her left leg raised as she attempted to keep straight and her crutches were on the side. "Fighting on one leg, is also a part of balance." He raises a leg himself as a demonstration. "Even when you face an opponent, your hands can also substitute for feet while your unwounded leg serves as a fist." He then somersaults and places his hands on the ground to do a handstand. "Several opportunities for you, or for your enemy." Dragon then backflips back onto his feet. "Now, try to defeat me, while just on one leg." Maggie sighs out of concentration before jumping towards Dragon. He quickly moves to the side as Maggie placed her hands on the ground to do a handstand, then moved her leg to try and kick him, but Dragon easily catches it and turns it, sending her barrel rolling and landing on the ground. "That was one of the opportunities for your enemy. What you must do is strike at an area you would deem vulnerable."
"Right." Maggie nods before placing her hands on the ground and pushes as hard as she could to bounce up, place her right foot on the ground and raised her left hand to punch Dragon, who blocks it, only for Maggie to push it the opposite side when she used her right hand before spinning to ram Dragon back. She then somersaulted to do another handstand as Dragon prepared to grab her feet, but Maggie quickly placed her hands on Dragon's ankles and forced him backwards.
She lets go and dives back as Dragon rolled backwards to get back on his feet and face her. "Using my ankles as leverage as well give me a disadvantage. Very impressive, Maggie."
"Shall we go again?"
"I believe that will do for the day, don't want to strain the ankle."
"Just one more time."
Dragon then lowered his head. "Your father is going to kill me." He raises it. "Now, try to crouch and spin, using your hands and your unwounded foot." Maggie somersaults to place her hands on the ground and turned them so that Maggie can spin while her right leg was held out, preparing to trip Dragon, who cartwheels to the side.
The training practically took a long time, but by nightfall, Maggie was starting to become experienced in it, but would of course keep her ankle in check.
