Genma POV:
After picking up my medications and buying groceries for me and Kakashi, I began walking back towards the bus stop. "Hey Gen!" a voice said and I turned seeing Kotetsu and Izumo. I waited until they got close before I started back walking. "And for the last time don't call me Gen!" I said pinching Kotetsu cheek hard. "Owww. That hurt dammit. And how come I can't call you that? Iruka, Kakashi and even Zumo call you that, hell I bet you let Raidou call you that" he complained and both me and Izumo rolled our eyes. "Because you always called him Shiranui or Genma" Izumo explained. "Don't forget Gen- chan. I hated that name so much" I said annoyed. Izumo leaned over to whisper something and Kotetsu smirked.
"You're right Zumo. I did say that I bet he even would let Raidou call him that and he didn't deny it. You like him don't you?" he asked and I felt my cheeks grow warm. "No I don't. We are just partners for a group project and that's all" I said and they both gave me a 'that's such a fucking lie' look. "Come on and spill Genma! That was probably the worst lie you have ever told" Kotetsu said and I rolled my eyes. "I don't and that's the truth! What are you two doing out here anyway?" I asked changing the topic. "We went grocery shopping and was headed back to our car when we saw you. Did you want a ride home?" Izumo said. "Sure" I said a bit relieved that I didn't have to take the bus and then walk 45 minutes to get back home. Kotetsu was walking in front of me while Izumo walked with me.
"Zumo, can I ask you for a favor?" I said hesitant. Izumo looked at me and nodded. "What is it Genma?" he asked grabbing my wrist to stop me from walking since I didn't say anything for a bit. "Well…. I hardly sleep nowadays because of nightmares and other reasons. Kashi said you that you wouldn't mind if I asked" I started trailing off. "Ask me what?" Izumo said making me look at him. "If I asked you to come over and stay the night with me!" I said blurting it out. "Was that all? You could've asked me that earlier and I would have said yes. I've told you this before and I'll say it again. If you need me then call or text me. Why didn't you say anything sooner?" he said grabbing my hand as we started walking again. "I just don't want to be a bother to you Zumo" I said and got a flick to my forehead. "Stop saying that like you're a nuisance because you're not" he replied. "Thanks Zumo" I said and he shook his head. "You're my best friend Gen. I'll always be there for you" He said ruffling my hair just as Kotetsu was yelling for us to hurry up.
