The camera displays the outside of the owl house; then the camera pans to the inside just to show Luz sleeping. Then flashes from the previous day are displayed; each flash becoming more intense. Then just as the final flash which shows warden Wrath running away with his arms tied, a book shoved in his mouth, and covered in acid; Luz wakes up.

Luzs' eyes shoot open and sitting up she gasps. Luz then looks around and smiling says, "so it wasn't a dream, good." Luz then opens a window closes her eyes and takes a deep breath then lets it out and opening her eyes; just to then see a gigantic monster in the sea say, "good morning." Before it sinks back into the water. Luz lets out a grunt of slight disgust before closing the window and getting dressed for the day. After getting dressed Luz exits her room to find the bathroom.

When Luz opened the bathroom door two natural, living owls flew out of it. Surprised but not fazed Luz entered the bathroom. Luz then heard a voice from behind her yell out, "hi, Luz." Luz taken by total surprise took out her mono-knife and slashed at the voice not realizing that it was Hooty. Hooty managed to avoid the slash but was nicked on his beak then said, "I was just wishing you a good morning, geez, hoot." Hooty then exited the bathroom presumably to return to the front door.

Luz now slightly disturbed by the fact that Hooty could get into the bathroom and she would bring it up with Eda to fix that privacy issue. In the meantime, Luz then went to the toilet and relieved herself. When Luz finished with the bathroom, she then went to the kitchen to see about making herself breakfast.

Once in the kitchen, Luz starts looking through the fridge and cupboards for stuff to make for breakfast. After looking through the fridge and cupboards Luz settled for a bowl of witchy-o's and what she assumed was milk from a natural animal. It was when Luz was about to clap her hands together did Eda enter. Luz seeing Eda enter says to her, "morning, Eda."

Eda in her nightclothes and bunny slippers then replied, "who are you again." This got Luz to raise an eyebrow.

Luz turning her head to keep looking at Eda as she approached the fridge says, "really, you don't remember me. Luz, the human who started a prison riot that saved both your and King's hides from warden Wrath."

Eda uses her magic to grab her mug that says, "thirty and flirty" and fills it with a deep red liquid before turning to Luz and replying with a tired tone, "kid layoff the details; I haven't even had my cup of apple blood yet."

Luz looks at Eda but with a confused expression and says, "don't you mean apple juice."

Eda then simply replies with a deadpan, "no." before she then takings a sip of her drink.

King then enters the kitchen and crawls up into a high chair and starts poking at some food that was already on it; the food looked as though it is just cheese with a bunch of eyes on it.

Luz, Eda, and King then settle in and consume their respective breakfasts. Eda then looked to Luz who was eating her breakfast silently while King was still stabbing his own. After taking a few more sips Eda broke the silence by putting down her mug on the island counter and saying, "all alright, this is really uncomfortable."

Luz after chewing asks with a curious tone, "how so."

Eda then lists off what she means, "what I mean is that you haven't…" lists off with fingers, "…asked for magic lessons, bugged me about how magic works, gone and ticked off a wild, magical beast, gotten yourself into a magical bind, or gone off and gotten yourself into trouble with the education system."

Luz looks to Eda from her cereal and replies, "Eda, back where I'm from the best chance that you'd have for a proper education is if one of your parents is in the management of one of the mega-corporations. I was dumped in the foster system after my mom disappeared, and because of that, the closest thing I have to an education is from reading a bunch of books that covered various subjects as well as class workshops that taught basic skills to anyone. As for magic, I am by no means that innocent and naive about the world at least the one I was born to." Luz after giving Eda more of her background returns her attention to finishing her breakfast.

Eda looks at Luz now knowing that she never had a chance to be a child at all. Eda then holds out her left hand and says, "magic staff come to me."

Luz finishing her cereal looks to Eda then she hears the sounds of crashing and banging before Edas' staff enters the kitchen. The staff then nails Eda upside her head. This causes Eda to let out a scream of pain and drop her staff. Eda then bends down and picks up her staff in a failed attempt to save face. Luz seeing this says with a smile and smug tone, "wow, so is that how all witches catch their staff, or is it just (points to Eda) you."

Eda holds her staff while also holding her arm out to her side and gives Luz a hard stare then says, "it's early." Eda then starts to explain to Luz what she'll be doing if she wants to stay, "now I run a few businesses: on weekends a human collectible's stand, where I sell rare human treasures that Owlbert drags up from the human side of the realm; but most days I sell only the finest elixirs and potions."

Eda then uses her magic to give Luz a bag full of said product. Luz opens the bag and pulls out a bottle at random and reading what it said asks, "does this stuff even work because (shows the name on the bottle) snake oil sounds suspect to me."

Luz then looks to Eda with a raised eyebrow and a deadpan expression; Eda then replies with a chipper tone, "of course they work and no one wants an un-oiled snake." Eda then turns, and walks away while making a follow-me gesture, then says, "follow me." Luz follows Eda to a balcony where Eda then points to a town with some questionable buildings; Eda then speaks, "today you'll be delivering packages and potions to that town over there: Bonesburrow." Eda then looks Luz in her eyes and said in a serious and cautious tone, "you'll have to be careful I have rivals all around; who'd love to take down my business and you along with it. So are you up for a dangerous and possibly life-threatening delivery job."

Luz says to Eda with a confidant smile, "not the first time I've made a delivery into a combat zone and I certainly won't by the last. (looks Eda back into her eyes) So, ya I'm game." Luz then leaves Eda and heads upstairs to her room to grab her satchel and guns. After grabbing her satchel and guns she then goes to the living room and picking up the bag of questionable tonics goes and exits the house.

When Luz exits the house she hears Eda speak to King and she listens in before she leaves.

Eda "hate to interrupt your power nap but you need to go with her."

King "what! But I just found the perfect spot why do I have to go."

Eda "you and I both know that she'll get lost or eaten, probably both. And because work for me too unless you want to start paying rent.

King then lets out an angry growl before then going outside and seeing Luz standing next to the door while the bag of potions was only a few feet from the house. King walks over to the bag and using both hands gestures to it in a "well" manner. Luz walks over and picks up the bag and says to Eda who is leaning out the doorframe, "we'll be back before nightfall and we won't be facing any mortal peril." Eda then closes the door.

Hooty then says, "have a nice trip."

Luz and King made their way to Bonesburrow. Once in Bonesburrow Luz reached into the bag and pulled out a list with names and addresses of Edas' clients. Luz then says after looking at the list, "alright let's get this over with I would like to get to work on new gear."

Luz and King go around Bonesburrow delivering several items and selling others. It's when a doorbell almost consumed Luz's hand which ended with the doorbell dying of lead poisoning did Luz and King take a break. Sitting next to a food cart of questionable quality King eat some food. While Luz was looking over her X-38. King then says after eating, "well, I had enough excitement for one day."

Luz then looks at King and says, "King if during the next delivery or sale you don't do anything to help I will roast your lazy ass tonight for dinner."

King now terrified replies with a modicum of fear, "you wouldn't roast my but…right."

Luz looks King straight in his eyes and says, "there were nights that I had to eat diseased rodents just to stay alive; so you tell me if I would eat you."

Luz then shows a bug-like creature trying and failing to eat her. Luz then takes out her mono-knife and stabs the creature through its body. Luz then puts away her mono-knife and tosses the now-dead creature away from her and King. This causes King to let out a gulp.

After Luz and Kings' rest period both are back to moving around ad making deliveries. It's when Luz and King made a turn down an alley to their final delivery did they see where their final delivery was.

It was at a castle that looked so fantastical that Luz couldn't help but cringe at how painful it was to look at. Luz doing her best to shield her eyes from the cringe-y castle approached and rang the doorbell. Then the doors opened and Luz started to walk in; King was about to say something when Luz pulled out her mono-knife and showed King his reflection in the blade. King now silenced and terrified of what will happen if he doesn't help Luz follows her into the castle. When King enters the castle the doors close and he runs to catch up with Luz. Luz walked further in and says, "we're here to deliver a potion that was ordered from Eda the owl lady."

Then the lights come on and an old man who looked like a stereotypical wizard walks into the area. Luz looking up sees the man and whispers with a slightly pissed off tone, "and things just got weird, great."

Luz looks on at the stereotyping wizard with an unamused look and asks, "are you the one who ordered (looks to the last delivery) Ratcha Gone elixir."

The man approaches and says, "yes, I did though I didn't hear you come in fore I was in solarium reading the stars when you came in. though who might you be with eyes full of curiosity." The man then strokes his beard.

Luz with a deadpan expression was about to reply when the man then slides over in a way that no man his age could pull off and says, "young lady dare'ith I say there is something unique about you (the man backs up and summons a couple of chairs and a table with finger cakes on it, before taking a seat) please won't you join me for tea."

Luz looks over then man, furnishings, and the table with fingers cakes, then says, "all alright though do you live here alone."

The man looks at Luz and replies, "ah, yes I do, unfortunately; such is the burden of an old, greying wizard."

Luz cautiously approaches the chair with King close behind. Luz takes a seat on the chair, then looks over to her left to see a chemistry or brewing setup. Upon seeing this Luz asks, "do you make potions and tonics."

The man replies with a grandfatherly tone, "why yes, I do run a small business…" then he says, "…though I thought Eda delivered her packages herself."

Luz now suspicious replies, "oh Eda hired me to run her packages because her business rivals are getting too troublesome and aren't worth her time. (Luz then gives her most sincere fake smile) So, Eda hired me to run her deliveries for her."

Luz sees that the wizard is now shaking slightly in a way that normal living beings don't. Luz continues speaking with, "in-fact Eda said that with me making delivery runs for her that she can then make her product even better and run her competition out of business and form her own little monopoly and corner the market of cheap, high-quality product."

The man slightly shakes even more confirming what Luz thought and just had to find the right trigger. The "wizard" then says, "so how are you enjoying being her carrier-girl."

Luz replies with a fake chipper-ness, "it's great and not one of Eda's overpriced, sloppy, over-rated, cheap-skape, sub-par competitors can do anything to ruin Eda's business; (Luz displays a sincere, confident smile) after all her competitors are so cheap that they use only the cheapest, lowest-quality materials, and charge far more then what their product is actually worth."

With that last sentence, yelling was heard and the eyesore of a castle crumbled away; revealing a creature that had tendrils that ended with puppets. Luzs' suspicions now confirmed pulls out her X-38 and starts shooting at the creature. Its when Luz emptied her first magazine did she start to runaway.

Luz runs out of the now ruined castle and loaded in a fresh magazine. While not that far behind the creature gave chase. Luz ran and turned right on the main street while the creature continued to chase after her with it crushing several carts and stands. Luz continued to run from it when Luz saw several dozen guards coming at her did she stop. Luz braced herself for the trampling of a lifetime when the guards went around her and started engaging the creature. A guard then runs up to Luz and says, "ma'am please leave the area that is Adegast he's wanted for murder, forgery, and unlawful production and destitution of potions, tonics, and elixirs."

Luz looks at the guard and asks, "does he have a bounty, and if so, does he need to be alive to claim the bounty."

The guard thinks for a moment and replies, "yes, it's valued at five-hundred-thousand snails, though alive is preferred dead is acceptable. Now miss please I must insist that you leave the area."

Luz turns and looks at Adegast with the biggest smile she's ever had and says, "get the money ready because I'm gonna bag a bounty." Luz then takes aim at Adegast who just finished knocking out the last guard. Luz aims at Adegast's right eye and pulled the trigger five times, and those five shots reduced Adegast's right eye into a mush filled hole.

Which had the added effect of sending Adegast into an even deeper half-blinded rage. Luz looking around for anything that might be useful when she sees a rain-runoff drain off the side of a building. Luz looks back to Adegast to see he still has only one eye that's still intact. Luz looks at how wildly Adegast is flailing around and decides that she needs to get to higher ground to fully blind the fucker and then kill it. So, Luz runs over to the runoff drain and gripping it started to climb; it's when Luz climbed onto the roof did Luz get a clear look at the Adegast's last eye. Luz got into a kneeling firing stance and again pulled the trigger five times, then reloaded with her last magazine. The five shots just like the last five reduced the left eye into a mush-filled hole which sent Adegast into a totally blind rage, and Adegast started to flail around without any coordination.

Luz was about to take aim at one of the orange orbs under Adegast's mouth; when Adegast then smashed into the building Luz was on and sent her flying. Luz seeing that she was going to land in Adegast's mouth put away her X-38 and pulled out her mono-knife just as she landed in his mouth. Adegast then swallowed Luz and Adegast seemed like he had won when suddenly a blade ripped through the area that should have been Adegast's throat; causing Adegast to choke on his own blood and allowing Luz to climb out panting and covered in blood.

Luz approached the guard but then she dropped her knife and passed out, still alive.

The guard who talked to Luz watched as a single girl with only a strange weapon and a knife just killed one of Bonesburrows' most wanted killers and con-artists; just pass out while walking towards him. The guard using his magic called for reinforcements to secure the area and medical for the girl who again single-handedly killed one of Bonesburrows' most wanted.

The first to arrive was an ambulance which collected the girl and took her to the nearest hospital. Then the reinforcements whole then proceeded to secure the area around Adegast's dead body.

Luz slowly opening her eyes sees that she was in a bed and in a patient's gown. Getting up Luz hears a door open; then sees a nurse who is female with pointed ears looks to Luz and says, "aw, your awake I must say thank you for ending that dreadful Adegast. He's been the terror of Bonesburrow for years."

Luz then stretches and says, "you welcome now how did I get here, and where are my clothes and gear."

The nurse looks at Luz and replies, "well you were covered in blood so we changed you into that gown you're in right now; as for your gear it's on the table right behind me…" Luz raises an eyebrow and made to speak but was beaten by the nurse when she continued, "…as for the clothes you came in with their being washed and repaired to good as new; oh and the guard came by and dropped off the bounty for Adegast, and don't worry right now just for you medical care is on the house."

Luz looks the nurse in her eyes and says, "thank you, and your welcome." Luz then gets up out of the bed and walks over to the table and sees her gear and a bag. Luz opens the bag and starts counting the money which rounded up to be five-hundred-thousand. After counting the bounty Luz then started on maintenance for her X-38.

Luz then heard the door open again and in came another nurse who was holding Luz's clothes. The nurse handed the clothes to Luz and right in-front of them Luz got dressed. The nurses saw that Luz's body, arms, legs both front, back, and sides were marred with scars they were either small and circular or long and straight.

When Luz finished getting dressed and collecting her gear and reward she moved for the door to exit the building; when the nurse who entered the room held out a clipboard with a pen and on the clipboard was a form for medical form. Luz took the pen and filled out the form when Luz finished, she then handed it back to the nurse who nodded and guided Luz out of the building.

Once outside Luz saw Eda and King. Luz smiling got on Eda's staff and they flew back to the owl house. While they flew Luz still being unable to balance on the staff held on to Eda while King had no problem balancing. When they got to the owl house, they all dismounted and walked to hooty; before hooty could say anything, Luz pulled one of her guns and cocked it at hooty's face. Hooty immediately opened and let Luz, King, and Eda in.

Luz went up to her room and changed into her sleepwear. Luz then goes and lays down on her sleeping bag and starts to go to sleep; then her door opens and Eda enters the room; Eda then says, "Hey, kid you alright."

Luz sits up and replies to Eda, "I fought a giant monster, was eaten, and woke up in a hospital how do you think I am.

Eda knows about what Luz went through during her fight against Adegast says, "kid you have to remember this isn't your world; I mean sure you can fight but in the end, you're only human."

Luz then lays back down and says, "Eda, can we continue this tomorrow I need some alone time."

Eda replies with a truly motherly tone, "alright, see you tomorrow, kid."

The next day Luz goes through her morning routine from yesterday. Its when Eda entered and repeated what she did the day before. Its when both Luz and Eda were finished did either of them speak. The first to speak was Luz by saying, "you're right I'm only human but from the bag of money that I got I only need to exchange the gold and silver to get the money that I need to get cyberware; that can help me be so much more."

Eda replies with a cautious tone, "ya, you could do that but what would the cost be for you when you get this "cyberware"."

Luz looks down before saying, "empathy, that is the price I pay the most; but there are ways to recover empathy. (Luz looks to Eda with a slightly pleading look in her eyes) Please, let me do this it should help improve my chances of actual survival here in the isles."

Eda thinks it over and nods then says with pride, "alright, though you should collect a few others who are as like-minded as you, kid."

Luz smiles sincerely and goes to collect her gear for her trip back to the human realm.

Owl house outro with cyberpunk elements

a/n: I know that in the show that this kinda fighting wouldn't happen because of Disney not wanting to go above a young adult rating; but like alot of fantasy it's not all sunshine and rainbows and I'm wanting to move this fic in the sci-fi/dark fantasy direction. why, because there are basically nothing too dark about the owl house right now. besides Luz is at around the age that like some cyberware becomes available for purchase and installment. that, and I want to give Luz a crew that she does stuff with in-between chapters as a sort of comedic relief. so ya enjoy and remember, review, favorite, and follow.
